Purchased a 2014 Tundra with Carlos Allicock as the salesman. I've never had a better car buying experience. A few days after the purchase, I noticed heavy scratches on the windshield that apparently resulted from improper removal of some written signage. After an attempt to buff out the scratching which failed, Carlos worked with the Sun Toyota staff and arranged for an OEM replacement windshield. You can't go wrong with Sun Toyota!

Shawn Williams did a great job to make sure I got an excellent deal on my Tacoma. I'm very grateful for his help and level of professionalism. Definitely would recommend Wesley Chapel Toyota to friends and family.

TERRIBLE DIAGNOSTICS! Took car to Sun Toyota with engine code, was told needed a fuel pump. Paid there inflated repair price. Next day went to start it, same engine code. Took it back they diagnosed second time. I repaired what they said were just two coil packs misfiring. AGAIN ENGINE CODE ON. Believe me will not return my business here for any more work because their mechanics dont have a brain!

We came to the Sun Toyota dealership after looking at a number of reviews of the 2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE, and found just what we wanted. The whole process was very easy from start to finish, and now we are enjoying our new car. Thank you for a job well done.

You cannot express how you feel when you purchase a new car from Sun Toyota and especially when working through the purchase experience with Tommy Tsilionis our sales associate. Tommy is a professional when it comes to understanding how a customer feels about the purchase experience. He along with the rest of the Sun Toyota staff have once again proved to a repeat customer that loyalty does have its place in the car purchase world. Management of Sun Toyota can be proud of their staff and by all means recognize a repeat customer. This customer has been purchasing Toyota products since 1988 and am very much in love with my new Avalon, which happens to be the fourth one that we have owned. I have never named an automobile before, but with a paint called ooh la la rouge, it is now referred to as our sexy lady.

There's a lot to this story but I will simplify it. After purchasing my Rav4, which I Love, I had an issue that I felt needed to be taken care of. After a bit of a struggle with a sales manager, I decided to reach out to John Marazzi. He Clearly understands how to treat a customer and went out of his way to make sure I was happy. The sales managers need to take some lessons from John. He couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. My issue was cleared up in just a couple of days. Thank you John Marazzi! You are all about the customers. I can't thank you enough for making it all happen. Chindon!

Sell, sell, sell. Not helpful with questions about finances

Amazing dealership and staff!!! I am a middle-aged lady who visited Sun Toyota on my own today. Dominick Figliomeni was my sales consultant. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with my purchase. Then once I got to the Finance Manager, Chris Grow, he was also extremely helpful when explaining all the paperwork and additional protection plan options.

I highly recommend this dealership to everyone! If the opportunity arises many years down the road when ready to upgrade, I will be back.

Above is my original rating for Sun Toyota but I must add that I took my 19 year old daughter to get a vehicle on July 4. She picked it out from many choices she was given and was absolutely in love with the car. 27 days later on July 31 my baby was in a car accident where she did not survive and that's where my rating begins. I had so many questions I was lost and confused I was mourning the loss of my daughter I didn't know what to do so I called Desmond Lee in financing and explained the situation and ever since they have not let go of my hand. I got a call from Jennifer ( finance admin) and she immediately got to work and advised everything I had to do. On the day of my daughters viewing I received the most beautiful flower arrangement I've ever seen which now adorns my baby's bedroom and I thought it was such a nice gesture and the next day I received a card signed by everyone involved in the purchase process and it made me feel so loved and like I was family that "Everyone was so friendly and helpful" was an understatement. There are so many car dealerships but it's gestures like these that separate them from all the others. So as you're reading this review and trying to decide where to go let me suggest and assure you that if you want to be treated like family and want someone to help you with your investment let these people take care of you. Quick response to my inquiry and set appointment. Herbert met me and was very helpful in trying the Matrix on the road and needed paperwork. Any questions I thought to ask were satisfied, and Car fax was available. Alignment service was done at Sun's service Center just after purchase, and the technician was great. Definitely a good place to trust and peruse when seeking a car purchase.

I came in hoping to upgrade from an 08 up a few years, came out with a brand new ride. Thanks to my friend Lee Houston definitely a peoples person, down to earth type a guy. I ended up getting professional service. Thumbs up bro!

I had been working with another Toyota dealership that just kept blowing my calls off but Gage was extremely prompt, professional, courteous and helped work a deal for us on a Tacoma that my husband couldn't refuse. "Be aware if your trying to buy a use vehicle from this place" I drove one hour to this dealership hoping to buy a use corolla that it was advertised online,when I got there a sales lady offered to help me,after taking my information and finding the car on their website she told me that I must purchase a service plan for the vehicle or she was not going to sell me the vehicle,she said it was not optional, after running the numbers and adding all their internet fees and hidden fees I would be better of buying a new vehicle,which I did but not from sun toyota, it was such a bad experience that I drove to toyota of tampa bay and end up buying a corolla from them.

This company ripped my mom off. They convinced her that her car we purchased 4 months ago for 11000 was worth only 2500. Now this car i brought down to another Toyota dealer locally to be inspected for maintenance or issues right after we bought it from another dealer. They gave it an over all good report... now this same vehicle my mom was trading into them 4 months later sun toyota gave a list of non mandatory maintenance items that they would need to do to recondition it to sell it therefore it was only worth 1/4 of value. Also convincing my older mom her car was unsafe. Let me remind you 4 months ago it was inspected by autonation toyota and given thumbs up. She only drove it 3000 miles since. My mom is older and does not know about cars. My moms car was stolen outright for a very low price. This company has no principles. I reached out to the acting general manager. He says she signed off on car. Any independent company would have street valued my moms car for at least 8000. And certainly those "maintenance " items on there list could have been done for a fraction of cost they were over bloating. Stay away from this company if you expect a fair deal. Especially if you know nothing about cars and relying on the companies integrity and honesty. We called since day after sale (soon as i found out what they did to her) and they have refused to give fair value or return my moms car as i have demaned them to do. I pleaded with there decency as human beings . Still nothing i cant get her car back. They refused. They stole my moms car at a unfair.market value. All based on false figured of maintannace and repairs that were not necessary on vehicle to have a private party value. I am ashamed for this company. To be so dishonest

Bought my son 17 year old son a used Tacoma. I was firm about what I wanted, I found it on Car Gurus, but it had just come in and it as a substitute photo. It was not cleaned, or on the lot yet. Carlos came to work 20 minutes early to check it out and let me know what it looked like, personally took pictures with his cell phone. He gave me a bottom line price, but before I could get there it was listed on line which is what they do of course, but for a couple hundred dollars less, so I called and told and told someone else about the price drop and they dropped it. You might want to check the on-line price after you get a quote. Carlos and Desmond, who stayed until 10:00 pm to do the paperwork were very nice men. They actually beat the interest rate my loan officer in Crystal River quoted me, with that, I was thrilled. You will always pay more at a dealership with fees, but they do a lot of work, service and detail the car, and of course do the financing which is very convenient. BTW, you need good credit for a good rate, I got 3% can't complain

I had searched online before visiting Sun Toyota and emailed a request for more information on a particular vehicle. Within minutes I was contacted by Niko Grivas and he was very pleasant and helpful. The next day I showed up a few minutes late and there was Niko right in front of the dealership with the truck all ready to go for a test drive. I loved it, he got the deal done quickly and to my full satisfaction. I took the truck home and halfway there I realized this was not the right truck for me, not enough options, entirely my fault. I called Niko the next morning and he told me to come on in and they would gladly exchange it for the truck I wanted, no questions asked!! So now I am very happy in my new Tacoma and to be perfectly honest it was the best experience with buying a vehicle I've ever had. And I am not an easy customer. I would give them 6 stars if it were possible.

Sun Toyota is one of the best dealership in the country! I had a bad experience at another Toyota, I was about to give up on them, when I came across Sun Toyota website. I put what i was looking for and right away, I received an a email from Jay London. he then called me and told me that he will work on it and he called me the next day and told me that he had the car I wanted. He took the time to show me the car and tell me everything about the car. Jay London was the best! go see him

I dealt with 3 different sales people at this location. Realistically, I should have stuck with the original gentleman, Jason Heard. Out of the 3, he was least pushy, most willing to listen, and used the least amount of sales tactics. He s the reason for the 2 stars. However, he s still a sales guy and after my 3rd interaction, I decided to ask a manager to give me a very specific kind of individual to work with, instead of being slammed by sales guys, none of whom I d probably want to deal with. When I asked the front reception for a floor manager or sale lead, she handed me off to a gentleman (Jason Wagher) who happened to have walked up at the same time. When I asked if he was a manager, he very quickly rattled off he d been a manager for years but stepped down due to the stress but knew the industry better than any other guy on the lot.

Strike 1 - you didn t listen to my question. You focused on the sale. Everything went downhill from there. I think the word meathead would be fitting. Interpersonal skills were completely off the mark. He had a terrible read on us and was seriously one of the pushiest people I ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with in ANY sales capacity, not just in cars. I absolutely hate repeating myself, especially once I hit the 3rd time. After the 4th incident - where I used significantly more force behind my statement - of telling him I wasn t going to be signing anything at the exact moment, he finally got it and eased up.

Sun Toyota - thanks for not listening. When the time comes, I ll be sure to find a dealership with individuals who understand the value of long term relationship building rather than a quick buck lining their pocket.

Took over a week to get done was lied,to many times

My appointment was at 8:00 AM this morning May 14, 2018. I arrived early 7:40 AM. NO Line, awesome. I was immediately approached by an employee that greeted me with a big smile and good morning. He told me to pull up and the service advisor would be right with me, he was! He wrote up my car which was do for the 5,000 mile inspection and I added an oil change to the ticket. He took my keys and said he would come get me when the car was ready and directed me to the customer lounge. The lounge was awesome. Another employee kindly showed me how to use the computerized coffee machine and i walked away with a delicious custom ordered coffee. I then proceeded to the food counter where they have free donuts for their customers. I picked out a cinnabun. The girl behind the counter said that my donut would taste even better if I allowed her to heat it up a little. It was incredible! Just about 10 minutes after I finished my coffee and donut my service advisor walked up and told me my car was ready! Great experience, great service!

Do not believe the internet price on a new car. It doesn't exist at Sun Toyota.

After being baited in by a low internet price. I was told that no one gets the internet price because of the dealer addendum added on to the price of the vehicle. I called them out on the obvious bait and switch, to which they replied that "everyone does this". The dealer addendum includes bogus add-ons designed to produce large margins on the vehicle.

Sales guys were nice and courteous. Finance guys were the ones arguing and quoted as saying "no one gets the internet price".

Was good but the mechanic was on the slow side. And he did not even check the oil after he ran the car. I was standing there and watched. Not a good practice as if it was even a 1/2 quart low he would have never known......

Wayne was my salesperson and he was great. Overall the dealership is large with good selection and aggressive pricing. Both the sales manager and finance manager were courteous and professional. At no point was anyone high pressure or pushy.

I was great customer service, we were great. We were greeted in the parking lot, the door was opened for us. The girls at the desk called our salesman. We had been chatting, texting, e-mailing and talking on the phone with Javier and Brian for days before I finally showed up at Sun Toyota. Brian showed us a few cars to consider, after choosing the 2015 Nissan Altima, we went for a drive. Being Sunday we had to come back Monday. Javier took over. He went through all the paperwork with us, signed the contracts, He processed everything, Told my wife she could head back to St Pete, because it was just a waiting thing now. When it took a little longer then he said it would, He gave me the go ahead to take the car and we would finish the small details later. Javier has called a couple times since taking the car, to ask how it was doing. Again, Everything was wonderful and smooth. Thanks Javier, Brian and Sun Toyota.

Bought my 17 Tacoma from here. The service I received through the process was really nice and helpful. The sales people didn't hound me when I walked up which was crazy to me they let me do my thing for a few minutes before one guy came up and asked if I needed help. The service department isn't bad either I usually wait there and just watch TV. The only issue is when I schedule an appointment and show up and I have to wait since there are a bunch of cars possibly from people with out appointments but they could have just booked a bunch of appointments for the day which is probably the likely situation.

After 8 years as a customer I have never been disappointed. Wonderful team from top to bottom. A big new beautiful facility. Thanks Denise (customer service) for taking great care of us yesterday!

I come in to Sun Toyota to test drive first,a Rave4 then a Carolla. I was driven around the lot to choose the model and color I thought my wife would like. Then I drove the vehicles. I talked with the salesman about a trade in value of my vehicle. I left and went home. After talking with my wife; I called the salesman to make arrangements to bring in my wife to drive both vehicles. She drove the vehicles and chose the carolla. What can I say! My experience with Sun Toyota was amazing! I went to Ford of Port Richey who I have gone to for the past 6 years to buy vehicles so when I went 2 weeks ago, the salesman was rude to me, showed me one car and within a week I had to take it to service where they told me they couldn't fix it. I found out my old salesman Donald Smith worked at Sun so I went there to look for what they had. Donald is amazing, showing me different cars and taking care of my family. I was able to purchase a brand new vehicle with 11 miles on it whereas Ford of Port Richey sold me a 2014 Ford Focus with 24,000 miles for $21,000 and my new scion was about $4,000 less. I will now be going to Sun for anything and will tell everyone about my amazing experience!! Thank you all for making me feel comfortable there and thank you Donald Smith for always treating my family like yours. Sorry Ford you just lost all my families business!!

Had a great experience working with Pat - he really ensured we got a great deal at an unbeatable price! No other Toyota dealership could match it. Pat stuck in there with us for hours while we talked personally on the purchase of an amazing Forerunner. Truly happy with our experience and working with him. He was not pushy at all and very respectful of whatever the outcome was - would recommend.

I have never been to such a wonderful car dealership from as soon as we got to the door through the whole process. Never once were they pushy, or rude they listened to what we needed and helped us. I would recommend everyone, Daniel Bateman was wonderful and sincere will keep going back because of him. This was our first time and won't be our last.

I have always had 5 star service and my recent visit was no exception my service advisor Mike McKinley and his team always provide excellent service. As for the post that originally showed a 1 star rating that was an error on my part when filling out the Google survey.

Edited post- 0 stars! ONE MONTH LATER, tags are expired, cant drive it, & loan papers not filed with bank. Get a story but suddenly it gets done after the call. Coincidence? NO. Now we are expected to believe fed ex overnight was sent last week with new tags but still not received!?

SERVICE MEMBERS BEWARE!!!!

Last Saturday I walked into Sun Toyota with my bf Benjamin on the phone from TX, where he is a CW2 in the US Army, to purchase a 2015 Ford Focus hatchback we'd seen on Autotrader. Eddie & his partner Frank did the deal. With Ben being the one making the purchase, & I the negotiator, we quickly came to an agreement on a price, & the file was going to finance first thing Monday for final paperwork & TX taxes written in. (They screwed up taxes & added more fees they didn't fully disclose btw.)

Unfortunately, after multiple phone calls by Ben & I both to the dealership, & zero call backs, I had to go there myself late Monday afternoon. Eddie & Frank greeted me & explained that although they had taken the file over themselves at 9 that morning, they had been unable to get any info so Eddie & I went over to finance.

Standing there by the finance Manager's office while Eddie went in to speak with him, I see Mr. Cohen pull our file from his filing cabine & starTed working on it. When he walked out to greet me, this man says to me, "Well, I was going to do it tomorrow since I'm busy, but since you're here...", as if Ben & I were wanting to make this purchase just whenever someone got to it! Once started, he actually told me that "someone" must have been waiting on a copy of Ben's ID & insurance but no one thought to actually ask for it, & that he had gotten the file late. No explanation though as to why it had been given to him rather than completed by whoever supposedly had it, & why it had just been sat aside rather than worked on. People don't go in dealerships to pick out a car then leave to simply wait for someone to feel like writing up the deal so they can have their new car! He completely ignored me & mumbled through some nonsense as they like to do when you ask for number explanations, when I told him that the taxes should be 6.25 for TX, not FL tax, & asked him where a second fee from the dealer was coming from, as it was not on any number work ups we'd looked over on Saturday. Where he said it came from were STATE fees...not a fee the dealer charges. Do I look stupid!? To make matters worse, when Ben had to call our lender for a fax number so that paperwork could be sent to his lender, Mr. Cohen couldn't be bothered to wait so things were finished & fed ex'd to TX, but again announced that he's busy & had things to do so tells Eddie & I were to come back later. We sat outside his office until after 7:30 that evening, when we finally gave up. So much for paperwork being correct & sent out that day!

Shocker, it was incorrect when Ben received it in TX on Wed at lunch. It wasn't until Eddie & Frank both had to repeatedly try to get someone to call Ben about the mistakes, as well as explain some of the numbers, that Mr. Cohen's manager called him that evening & things got worked out. By then, the paperwork couldn't be sent out until Thursday morning.

Fortunately, throughout all of this, Eddie has stayed in constant contact & I know has done everything in his power to get this deal complete! Paperwork was received yesterday morning & even though he had a family emergency, Eddie was there to deliver the car to me as promised so that I had it to pick Ben up at the airport.
Now, we are still waiting on the keyless entry code & a secondary key, but now that we no longer have to deal with Finance, Ben & I have zero worries that Eddie wI'll take care of us.

An ENTIRE week this process took..rather than a matter of days! As a military man, & as a business woman myself, Ben & I both are flat out turned off by what we've had to go through simply to buy a car! I've bought & sold a dozen. Let me just say, being a woman I've had to fight for a fair deal, & this right here...just pitiful!

I was working with Matt Howard for a very long time, trying to find the perfect Truck, and he found it! He was very helpful and understanding, and it was great to know that there are dealerships out there, that arent just trying to make a sale, but trully care. Just bought my daughters first car there. My family and I are frequent customers at Sun Toyota. They have an excellent service department, great sales staff and great all around customer service. They are pretty quick in the service department for such a big lot. I just bought my car with Mark Langlais, he was great no pressure and very attentive to my car buying needs. I love the 2016 Scion iA i purchased for my daughter and so did she. Gotta love the referral bonus as well. No complaints, great service great prices, great cars. I would recommend to anyone.

Brandon Niski was an excellent salesman. His communication skills were great and he was easy to work with I look forward to working with him again for any futures purchases.I went to Sun Toyota with an idea of what I wanted and left with a vehicle that I couldn t be more happy with!

I was also very happy with the insurance agent on site through (Morgan Insurance Services) who found me a great rate and had my new coverage within minutes. Also, great job to Brandon in finance who explained all documents and care plans for my new vehicle.

Wayne was my salesperson and he was great. Overall the dealership is large with good selection and aggressive pricing. Both the sales manager and finance manager were courteous and professional. At no point was anyone high pressure or pushy.

Bad service I never seen the employees not even want to take care the customer .they just stand around and talk . We were there at least 20 minutes and plus another 45 minutes to get there.
