HORRIBLE dealership! Set appointment to drive a car on Wednesday for Saturday. Drove 2 hours, and the car was supposedly gone. They tried to push a similar car in worse shape with higher miles and higher price. Then kept pushing to run our credit so they could tell us the cost, even said they couldn't tell us warranty prices without running our credit. Told us our car wasn't worth anything for trade in even though KBB and NADA says otherwise. The salesmen were unprofessional yelling swear words over the wall at one another. Absolutely horrible place.

My husband and I (both under 25 years old) went to Stokes Honda to test drive one of their new cars. The test drive and sales representative were pleasant. We went inside to talk about possible financing because we had heard of a new college graduate deal. We told the representative that we were not planning on purchasing the car that day. 2 hours, a sales manager, and a store manager later we were being forced to sign document after document just to see what our deal could be. Each manager wanted us out the door with the car, one even asked us if we would be willing to buy the car for $4000 less than asking price. After he couldn't get us the car for the lower price he got upset when we reminded him that we weren't planning on buying today. Once we were home they had the nerve to ask if it was the color options keeping us from buying. Young buyers beware.

I was very displeased with my experience with Stokes Honda. I spoke with a saleswoman about Honda s 2020 Hatchback Touring addition on a Saturday. The saleswoman stated to me that the vehicle was on the truck. Which was scheduled for delivery that Monday. We went over the numbers, & I was ready to lock in the deal. I advised the saleswoman that I will be back in town that Thursday, & I will be purchasing the vehicle. The rep was suppose to call me, with regards to the car being delivered. Since I didn t receive a call, I called... to check on the status. The vehicle was on the grown. At that point, I ask the rep, how much do I need to put down on the car to hold it. As per the rep, the price is $500. But, she was going to confirm with her boss & get back with me. The day went by, & the next business day was coming to a close. At this time, I still haven t received a call back. Once again, I called to find out what was going on. The rep then stated to me that the car was already sold. To say the least, I was livid!! What a terrible way to conduct business. One thing is for sure, Stokes lost a customer.

Purchased my 2015 Honda Civic from Stokes Honda in N Charleston in January 2015. By far, one of my better car purchase (new and/or used) in recent years. The dealership was fair and not pushy and allowed me to make my decision to buy or not buy.
Took the car for its first oil change last weekend (May 2) and was treated as a VIP from start to finish. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere waiting for the car to be done. The refreshments that at complimentary added to the experience. From the check-in person to check-out, top notch treatment.

I recently had service performed on my 2004 Honda Accord at Stokes and the service was exceptional. There was no hassle and no pressure to have additional things performed. They did call me during the service to notify me of other concerns for the vehicle and gave me a printout of them when I picked up my car. The customer service there is great and that is a number thing for me at any business. Thank you and I recommend you to all my friends.

All of the team members involved with the purchase of my vehicle were extremely helpful, friendly, down-to-earth, and most importantly knowledgeable about the vehicle I was purchasing. I have already referred a friend; whom is looking for a vehicle and it's been less than two weeks since my own purchase.

Nothing but bad experiences at this place, both in sales and in service. They'll pull you in with an ad for a reasonably priced vehicle, then tell you it's already sold, followed by trying to sell you an overpriced vehicle. If you come in to buy from them with pre-approval from your bank they'll insist on trying to get financing through one of theirs. They'll then have about a dozen banks run your credit, and your score takes a hit each time. Service side they'll try to push unnecessary products and repairs on you. If you do get something repaired, they might not fix it all the way, then you're back in the next day. Of course, at that point it's something else that needs repaired, but they definitely won't cover the cost for you. We just went in for a simple key fob reprogram and they did an unauthorized inspection on the vehicle. Go ANYWHERE else but this place.

There was no pressure whatsoever and I was able get into a fantastic vehicle in the price range I was looking to stay In. She Listens to the customer. Dontae Barr genuinely cares about his clients contrary to what the general persona of a car salesman is. He's well informed and communicates effectively and will be my preferred rep at Stokes Honda. He's also a great conversation . I had a painless experience dealing with Dontae, and got a new to me car. They don't make em like him any more.

Went to go check out the new Honda Accords to see if it's worth upgrading from my 2008, but did not like the new body styles. PJ showed me around to check out other options. Did not have any intention of buying a car, but still got great service and felt really comfortable with the possibility of purchasing another car in the future. I will definitely consider them when I am ready to pull the trigger!

As with all of my other negative experiences with this dealership, they once again failed to deliver. I called 2 days ago to ask the service department about the length of time a recall on my Civic would take. The service center had no idea, which surprised me. The lady offered to send me to speak to Sherry, who was supposed to know. Sherry did not answer her phone so I left a detailed voice mail asking for the info. 2 days later, she has not bothered to return my call. This is why I drove an hour and a half to buy an expensive part for my 2nd Honda from another dealership instead of buying it here.

One of the doors is sticking and defrost doesn't work. Should not take 3 days. I'm glad stokes is changing the battery I didn't ask them to check or have a problem with. Not pleased with them at all.

The experience that I had when purchasing my car was by far the most amazing ever! My friend Chelsea who is in management at the Great Stokes set me up with THE BEST sale person on earth Kathy!! They work Magic to get me out of my old car which was a lemon and got me into a Brand new 2016 Honda Accord Ex. The car was everything I wanted and more. They both walked me through every steps and I never felt any perssure like you usually fell when going on a dealer lot and was not only comfortable but confident when I made my purchase for my car. I want to Thank you two (Kathy, Chelsea) for making this experience the Best of my life!

Used car service, new car price.

My experience was almost identical to another comment, by a Caitlin W (I think that was her name). I came in this weekend looking for a new vehicle, and I felt the overall experience was handled inappropriately by the entire staff. I had made it clear that I was not purchasing a car today. I was interested in the 2015 CRV, but wanted to see what information they could provide, as I was also heading to the Subaru and Hyundai dealers that day.

My sales man, and his manager both seemed to be incapable of reading the room. They kept trying to, "make me an offer I couldn't refuse", and did not understand that my goal was to gather information for a purchase later in the week/month, after I had been to several dealers.

They seemed to be implying that buying a car from anyone else was a ridiculous decision, and were trying to force something on me, when I simply was not going to drop a check for $25,000 at the first dealer I went to. Overall, I found it to be quite unprofessional, as I felt like I was being manipulated at every turn to purchase something that day.

To add to the misery, they pulled the KBB value of my trade in, which I had already investigated, and offered me a print out that listed the car $2000 below what I had found on line, and $2500 less than what the Subaru dealer offered me down the road the same day.

From stokes I went to the Hyundai and Subaru dealers on Rivers, and both times I was greeted by respectful sales people who understood the goals of my trip, and provided extremely helpful information.

Honestly, I love the CRV, and will likely purchase a 2015 from someone in the next few weeks, but I don't see it being from Stokes North Charleston. Nothing about the experience made me believe they had any interest in anything other than my money.

In conclusion, I do believe Honda does make the best cars in the industry, unfortunately, I wish the dealer in North Charleston carried the same level of expertise.

Last night my wife and I attended a Honda Owner's Workshop. WOW!!! We are so happy we attended. Several employees introduced themselves to us. They had a Q and A session with us and explained many of the safety features on the Hondas. They also had a free raffle with some nice Honda stuff. Then we were taken in the shop where two service tech explained the training they went through to become master techs. Impressive! They then explained some of the services they perform and answered many questions. We were also treated to sandwiches by Jersey Mike's and also given a coupon to each attendee for a free oil change. We would like to thank Stokes Honda North and the employees that put this session together. Special thanks to the two service techs and Heather and Lyndon!!!

We purchased our vehicle almost two years ago and had a very pleasant experience. However, I wish I would have never bought the warranty. It s about impossible to get an oil change within a reasonable time frame. The last three times they have changed their policies. First, it was you needed an appointment for oil change, and then the next time it was first come first serve. Now today they have gone back to appointments only. And I was basically told sorry, you can wait two hours if you would like your oil change. The worst customer service I ve ever experienced from a dealership.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had paying cash for a car $41000.00 car. I bought a new Type R and it was scratched.i even paid well over the price of the car because I was told it would be a perfect experience..its not a typical civic. This is a limited production car....then to add to everything else they can't process their paperwork properly. The accounting dept apparently does not know how to register a car and pushed it off on the finance officer.
Also..the Customer service manager Heather..whi said she remover the shipping plastic FAILED to respect my new Type R and it resulted in scratches and lines from the plastic.. Absolutely horrific. A BRAND NEW car should Never have to be buffed out..especially a Rare Car.
