Stokes Honda tried to rob me blind of a little over $2900.00 recently. They gave me an estimate of work that needed to get done and were going to charge astronomical prices to fix them. Took to an honest mechanic friend of mine who has worked in the business a long time and he said the only thing I really needed was brake pads and maybe a left rear strut by the end of the yr. Honda quoted me total of $2919.07 for a bunch of stuff that wasnt even wrong with my car. BUYER BEWARE.

The sales team is great. Never any issues. The service department could use some help. Arrived early Saturday morning and was the second car in line, left the car for an oil change and tire rotation. Returned over an hour later and was told my car was 5th in line and was going to be another 2 hours. I decided to leave and return another day after work. Once returned I asked for an oil change and tire rotation, paid for the services and discovered the next day my tires were not rotated. I will say once I informed the service department they were very apologetic and attended to the car right away.

Review for the service department. My service rep Jack was very kind and helpful but the rest of the experience was much less than satisfactory. Took my car in for a recall work and was told it would take about 2 hours. So at the 2 hour mark I called to get a status report and was told my car was completed and it would take about 10 minutes or so to get it out. So I headed over which took me about 10 minutes. When I got there the car wasn't ready and proceeded to wait an hour after being told to wait a minute. If it wasn't for jack no telling how long I would have been there. Plus when I got my key back the tech had totally destroyed it. I'll try to tape and glue it back together

The reality of the situation ....... is that I will never buy a car from this dealership. The salesman was nice enough but the sales manager was a piece of work. I went in to look at a 2018 Honda Pilot EX which they had listed on their website. The MSRP for this vehicle is around $34,305 and they had a special e-price or best price of $31,565. However, when the salesman brought back the deal sheet the sales price of the Pilot was $37,000. I scratched my head head and asked the salesman I thought this was listed for $31,565 . Also, the value of my trade was extremely low. The salesman scurries away and a few minutes later the sales manager comes over. He explains the numbers to me and how they managed to reach a final sale price of $45,000. Before I even asked the sales manager says I could possibly come down off the sales price $500 or $1000 bucks but if I did I d really be doing you a favor . I pulled out my phone and placed it on the table between us and said you are publicly listing this vehicle for $31,565 presenting them their own listing how is it exactly are you doing me any favors ? The question went unanswered and the subject changed immediately in true politician style.
The constant theme through my entire interaction is the reality of the situation . This is the phrase they kept repeating right before they explained the funny math. However, I over heard them say this to other people as well as I sat and waited. It sounds like it is a rehearsed script they use attempt to confuse people before they try to present a horrible deal, but I could be wrong lol. Possibly some sort of subconscious psychological mind trick maybe. Either way, I was getting ripped off, so I bailed. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE HATE BUYING CARS!!!!

Kathleen was awesome and made my purchase quick and easy. When I arrived, the store was supper busy but I never felt like they were too busy for me. Kathleen did not hesitate to listen to all of my needs and initially was disappointed when the numbers were not quite what I needed. I was blown away after Steve came back with my counter offer and I immediately accepted. I usually have a lot of haggling but he left me speechless. Then Justin stepped in because the vehicle had to be transferred from the Newberry store. The truck arrived the very next day and I was very pleased with the condition. After taking delivery I noticed the engine oil cap was missing and there was only one key fob. The team worked quickly in resolving these issues. Finally Lindsey worked hard to find me the best possible interest rate and was thorough in explaining all the terms and conditions of the loan and the extended warranty. What a fantastic team. This was my third vehicle purchased at a Stokes dealership. The previous was Stokes Toyota in Bluffton with a 2007 Saturn Outlook purchased in 2011 which I still own and the second at Stokes Honda in Beaufort. Got there much earlier than my appointment obviously. My emailed appt time was set at 7:30 but was told by a service tech that the Technicians who works on vehicles with the issues I am having, doesn't come in or start until 8AM. So why give a 7:30 appt time? Needless to say, I was there from a bit after 7AM until 10AM. Stokes is a bit expensive but I like having my vehicle repaired at reputable places that will get it done right. I trust their work. They also offer free sodas, coffee and water. They explain what they are going to do and the cost beforehand. Other than the long wait times recently, they have a good service department.

To whom it may concern: I recently purchased a 2017 Honda Ridgeline from Stokes Honda North. I went to the dealership to look at trucks. It was my good fortune to meet Kathleen. Not only was she a lovely young lady,she was very knowledgeable about all the features that the new Ridgeline had to offer. Kathy made this buying experience one of the easiest ones I have had in my life. Kathy made me feel like I was talking to a friend and not just a salesperson. As a first time female car buyer, I had an extremely long and painful car buying process with Honda Stokes, specifically but not limited to the financial department. I came in on a Saturday as 5-7 sales people sat outside waiting for a customer and I knew exactly what I wanted. So why did it take 2 hours to look at and test drive what I wanted? I was very specific with what I wanted. Then I was seated in a cubicle for over an hour where my car to be traded in was never discussed with me besides me rating what I thought it was worth, they came back with a number with no negotiations. In the future, I will sell my car or trade it elsewhere before doing business here.
In the financial department, I was in the office for 30 minutes or less and every addition they could slip in was added. Thankfully, I talked to people who are knowledgeable about buying cars and they told me to cancel everything they added to my loan, including the Gap insurance I did not want, the maintenance warranty and whatever else they threw in.
I love my car but Honda Stokes made my experience memorable, in a bad way. They also asked me to give a 5 star review for a pair of windshield wipers.
TL;DR don t go here if you want a good deal or to have honest and transparent communication

Over the course of a month and a half, Tracy kept in touch and always notified me of the price drop. I must say that was really impressive. I actually hate the car buying process. However, I recently had the occasion to visit Stokes Honda in North Charleston, SC. Prior to visiting the dealership I have been told to ask for Kathleen Reece. Upon meeting Kathleen my wife and I immediately felt 100% comfortable with talking with her. After questioning us to determine the type of vehicle we were interested in purchasing she went to work showing us the vehicle we wanted. After driving the vehicle (CRV) and learning it's good points of the car we returned to the dealership to discuss the price. We drove a 2018 model but purchased a 2019 simply based on her explanation of differences between the two models. When purchasing a car I can be a royal pain the butt. With Kathleen no statement I made or question I asked went unanswered. She is a gem. Kathleen's knowledge, skills and abilities were obvious when discussing our new car and the purchase process. When we left the dealership we were scheduled to return the next morning to pick up our new CRV. Kathleen called that night to again discuss delivery and confirm that we would be there at 10AM the next morning. I had a 5 star experience when I took my 2013 Civic to Stokes for scheduled maintenance work. I was greeted quickly and courteously at the service shop vehicle drop bay. I had scheduled an oil change and tire rotation for the visit.The work was done in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, when I asked a question regarding the vehicle's hands-free cell phone feature, I received a complete answer and personal assistance with the syncing process by a knowledgeable salesman. Overall, as always, the experience was superior. I recommend Stokes.

My experience was very pleasant. I had service to replace the air bag hardware due to the recall notice. Upon my receipt of the notice, I contacted your dealership because it was there my wife and I purchased our 2006 Elementl My appointment was 7:30 a.m. and where I was expecting a 2 hour visit, I was back on the road at 8:45 a.m. Thank you for the fast changeout of the air bag. By the way, my wife thoroughly enjoys telling the story that she chose the Element and paid for it. I humbly admit Yes and you did good! Excellent vehicle! Love the Honda line of vehicles.

I was in Charleston, SC on business on July 15th when I noticed my passenger rear tire was low on air. I checked it out and noticed something was stuck in my tire. I pulled into the dealership (Stokes Honda on Rivers Ave) early that morning and told the service representative that I was from out of town and needed a patch on the tire. He came back to me after a little while and stated I had a long nail in my tire on the outer tread and that it could not be patched. He was eager to tell me they had a real good price on a tire. I told him no thank you that I would have it looked at back in Columbia at the place I get my car serviced. On July 17th I took my car to my facility in Columbia SC to get my tire fixed and they came to me and told me it had a small tack like nail in the tire and that they patched it......... at no charge for that matter. I find it quite interesting that the Stokes Honda in Charleston SC told me I had a long nail in the tire and that it wasn't able to be patched. They were trying to sell me a tire thinking I would just go ahead and get it fixed at their dealership since I was out of town. This is the second and last time I go to Stokes Honda on Rivers avenue.......I had a previous bad experience about a year ago with this facility. Unbelievable what they tried to do to me!!!!!!!!!
