The hotel is ok, a bit over priced. We had to be moved 10 minutes after going to our room. The toilet was clogged & electric outlets didn't work. The 2nd room was ok, the shower leaked & flooded the bathroom. They tried to take care of things as quick as they could. Good location. The $5 cleaning fee is a bit much. We just put the do not disturb sign on the door to avoid it. Although they automatically charge you for the day you check out. Everything in this town costs a lot.

I attended a sushi making class here. We got a drink at the bar which was a little expensive but it is right next to Times Square. The bathrooms near the bathroom required cards to use. The breakfast room we used had nice lighting and decor.
Good location, good size room and clean. Only disappointing things were breakfast quality and space among with lifts (took 25 mins one day and then I started using stairs from 18th floor to get down....)
Great bang for your buck I have been saying here while i commute back and forth to new hope. But i have stayed her 5 times and it is close to port authority, (If i dont drive i take the bus.) they have free breakfast every morning. and sun or mon through wed they have like snacks and apps like 4-5 pm. fast internet, bad tv, have had problems with save in 2 different rooms. long wait for elevator. but the staff is very helpful.
Very very small. All rooms are small studios. No standards. Couldnt even get doily inside to unload luggage. No parking. Have to park on 43rd. Charge for size of vehicle you in. I was in a suburban. Was 66.00 a day. If you move vehicle that day thats another 66.00 to park back. Have to check in then unload then drive to parking garage then walk back. Room was ok. Not what i was expecting from stay bridge but guess its New York. Shower ceil was gone water on floor. If you stand up from bed you in bathroom. No cooking ware. If you come to walk around great place. Alot of charging ports. Room is seriously for 1 or 2 people only. Windows open to outside. Not safe for kids. Hostess was nice in knowledgeable.( Destiny i think here name was.
Could not fault this Hotel. Had the pleasure of spending 3 nights recently and took advantage of the the evening guest drinks and morning buffet to meet some really nice fellow travelers. Evening drinks turned into a night of fun and laughter. The staff were all very helpful and attentive to our every need. The location was perhaps a little shady but it was an easy walk to many New York attractions
The hotel was nice. Found no roaches and no bedbugs. Hotel staff was very accommodating. Loss of a star was due to finding broken glass throughout the room. We picked up glass shards throughout our 2 night stay.
Slightly dated but room good size for Manhattan. Kitchen area has all things needed to eat in with... hob, microwave, full size fridge etc. Lifts can be busy but expected this. Use breakfast area in basement... much quieter.
Were here already in March. A nice hotel in a central location for a good price. Our room was large and clean, breakfast was delicious and there was something for everyone, staff was very friendly and accommodating, only on the elevator you can wait a bit longer, if you are still fit then you just go quickly the stairs. A very pleasant stay and always again!
Hotel that is certainly not worth the money spent. First of all extra costs not included in the booking are charged and in any case the rooms do not reflect the quality they boast in the descriptions. The breakfast is not bad but also this one not special. Carina the fitness room. Excellent area but poor in my opinion the quality / price ratio.
Front desk service is the worst ever among all of the hotels in the NYC. You have no idea why you spent money to live here and receives the judgement and bad attitude. Unclear communication and late notice in order to make more money. Housekeeping service is fine and their attitude is good. I have been here many times and every time the front desk person was very unprofessional. Excuse me? I even thought I was the one who provide service.
The first room I checked into was falling apart, with a toilet that screeched every time I flushed it, a mysterious puddle on the carpet, a clogged sink, and a half broken light switch. After I complained, I got moved to a better room, but the dishwasher was very weak and housekeeping only stopped by once during my weeklong stay. Staff were also inconsistent with their use of face masks. The coffee was free but tasted awful. Additionally, they used to provide free breakfast and I get that covid makes things more difficult but they could have provided a bagged breakfast instead. Overall, it wasn't a great stay but them moving me to a better room with a bigger bed slightly made up for it.
Stayed for two nights. The king suite was great. Decent layout that gave us a big fridge & cooking options. Staff were friendly and the happy hour margaritas were a joy!!
The hotel is very good especially for 3 or 4 (two persons and two children) nothing more in a room, it is a "relatively" economical option
The rooms are of the same size, the room - with two beds - has no room for movement. All rooms have an equipped kitchenette! Breakfast is good despite limited food! The location is ok 10 minutes (+ little) from the middle of Times Square. The hygiene is of an acceptable standard, the handling is excellent ... I see it as a good option for a family of 4, as for married couples, the options are many and at the same price or cheaper
Near the hotel (2 blocks) a cheap and delicious pizza restaurant (a piece is $ 1, and there are offers)
Very nice Hotel for a group of 4 not more in one room.
The only negative thing I have to say is the elevators are very loud and slow. Everything else was wonderful. Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms. They have free breakfast and a complementary happy hour with food. They also have a free laundry room, it was nice not having to come home and wash clothes.
I had surgery on Oct 4th and the next morning the manager brought breakfast up to me so I did not have to make the trip downstairs and then told me to let him know if I needed anything else. I thought that was extremely sweet and compassionate.
When we were getting ready to leave for the airport a member of the staff let us know they had a car service that would get us there at a flat rate. He then got the car in order and loaded up all of the stuff for us. It was way cheaper than what the cab ride from the airport to the hotel cost.
The room is very well equipped (refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher), the attention has been perfect, very good location; It is a very good option for long stays.
Good service, good complimentary evening drinks and snacks. Morning breakfast was sparse and not refilled quickly enough. View was not good but still a very nice hotel that I would definitely stay at again.
I love this hotel. Close to Times Square, Port Authority and Hell's Kitchen. Complimentary breakfast and drinks/appetizers at happy hour. Not so expensive.
Good location and very close to most attractions. Our double room for four adults was on the small side. One of the beds was propped up close to the air-conditioning unit which was loud and very cold for the person sleeping next to it. On two occasions we were not supplied with the correct amount of towels and took time for them to arrive once the call was made. Breakfast is good and although there were many guests there are three dining rooms to chose from (one is located in the basement). Great complimentary drinks and snacks available after 6pm on weekday nights.
Other than one elevator breaking down we had a wonderful stay! The pillows and the bed were very comfortable. We celebrated our 30th anniversary in NYC and Amanda made sure we got a room with a view and a bottle of wine. When we came down to leave for our dinner Jamie played and sang the Beatles In My Life for us. It was very sweet, and so was he. We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend the Staybridge Suites!
It is a very good hotel, it is very well located. Close to everything. You can also cook and there are supermarkets nearby. Of course, the elevators tend to get stuck at breakfast times, so you must have patience.
Room was clean and good size with great fridge etc. All the room maids I met were absolutely lovely. So friendly and nice they make me want to stay there again. However be warned we tried to get a lift down from the 19th floor at about 10:30 / 11:00 and waited 20 minutes. We told reception and they said to walk down. So if you have a taxi to catch and luggage be warned.
First of all, you will be billed a housekeeping fee of $ 5 daily on-site, separately from the accommodation fee. You will be shocked if you do not collect a lot of information before making a reservation. There are no toiletries such as toothbrushes and swabs, and only minimal soap, shampoo, conditioner and gel are installed. The housekeeping service was skipped for one day and returned to the hotel around 22:00 at the night to complain at the front desk. However, the housekeeping staff was absent and was refused to be cleaned from now. He said he would not charge $ 5, but he was charged well at checkout, and the claim was corrected on the spot. When I tried to buy a toothbrush at the mini shop corner next to the front desk, I happened to be told that a friendly female staff could give me a free service. Anyway, if you can't talk or negotiate normally, you will have to settle for money. At this level, I feel that $ 100 or less is reasonable, but I don't think I can double the NY price.
Great location, clean, quiet, highly recommended.Breakfast 1a, I would book again and again. Room clean service 1a, kitchen fully equipped dishwasher, coffee maker, coffee each Fresh in the room. Very happy.
Since I need to take a bus the day of the checkout, staying at Staybridge is ideal since it is located right across Port Authority.
It was a day of pouring rain and I was really soaked when checking in, the check-in area was pretty tiny and it took a bit of time to get the queue cleared up. Can't wait for IHG to catch up with the tech and allow mobile check-in and digital key. Would have saved quite a lot of time and frustrations. The service from the agents was good tho.
Since it was pouring rain, I asked whether the room has an umbrella for the guests or whether the guest could borrow from the hotel. Turns out they are selling it for $18 bucks a piece, not very thrilled about that.
There are 3 elevators to go up all 30 floors and peak time I could see about 30 people in the lobby waiting... so be aware of that
The room is in decent size and condition. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom has this standup corner shower set up - personally not a big fan of but I guess it is designed to maximize the layout. Full-size fridge and microwave are available inside the room.
What comes with the stay is a complimentary breakfast in the morning. The variety was extremely limited and the quality is deeply disappointing compared to other Holiday Inns Express. No sausage, no bacon, only gross eggs, soggy french toast, fruits that don't look fresh and one style of yogurt. Not that I have a high expectations towards complimentary breakfast but I am quite confident to say it's below standard. Would much rather pay a visit to the fast food chains nearby
I do like the fact that the hotel would send you an email the night before and allow you to check out online.
One of the best value hotels in New York. Free breakfast is good, afternoons often have free food and drink and the rooms are spacious and include a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and hot plates.
Very disappointed with the hotel. The staff was very rude when I got there to check in. She took forever to give me my room key and I was the only one there. My room was dirty and they pretended that they changed the sheets and towels because the sheets and the pillows had hairs on them. The towels were all folded in the bathroom as if they were fresh and clean but they had hairs on them too. The stove wasn't even clean, it still had grease from a previous cook. The housekeeper was cleaning my floor's aisle at 4:00 AM with music on. The windows don't have curtains so you'll wake up with the sunlight at 6:00 AM. Housekeeper was knocking my door to make up my room at 6:00 AM too.
Kind of disappointing for a supposedly 5 star hotel. Suite looked shabby and it took 3 calls to the front desk and 2 hours just to get ice sent to the room. Not worth the price.
Lobby is tight and the front office staff seemed in disarray. Room was very dated, drab, and in desperate need of a refresh. Smoke detector was bagged from where a prior guest likly was smoking in the room. Elevators where so slow I walked 14 floors to my room... not up to IHG standards imho. I wont be returning to this property.
Check in was at 4. So we got there at 4 and was not given our room key for an hour. The staff was very polite though. Room was nice and clean. Elevator is very small so might take a bit to get to your floor. Over all the experience was good but having to wait and hour was not great.
Breakfast staff was incredibly rude. You pay extra for room service, never heard of that and the elevators are tiny and take forever. Two stars for location but wouldn t stay here again.
On Wednesday the 30th I was trying to find the restaurant I was suppose to met my partner and his family for dinner but in the bitter cold my phone stopped working thus I had no map. I was terribly underdressed and temperatures were well below negative. I was very lost and didn t know what to do so I walk into your west 40th street location to find help. There I found two wonderful door greeters that warmed my phone with their space heater so I could call my party. While waiting they let me stand in the warm lobby and talked with me so I could calm down. I was so worried that they would kick me out after learning I was not a guest at your hotel but they were so kind. I did not get their names but I hope some way you can find out who they were and reward them for their great services! Thank them again for me and I will always be grateful!
This hotel is a disaster, what you sell is not what you offer. You are a real fraud! Staybridge and IHG are disaster. The map that is on the internet web page is not the one that you see when you stay in. I feel robbed of. Absolutely disappointed. There is not enough space for four people. You don t have space to eat neither a comfortable space to stay. My staying was ridiculous. Te dan ganas de irte de hotel
Quiet, Clean spacious rooms with excellent facilities extremely friendly and helpful staff in a superb location and bus terminal across the road for airport transfers
It's very costly stinking bad place to live, you will hate this place if you had ever visited Staybridge Stratford, London.
I had stayed @ Staybridge Stratford, London for about 54 days and after that stayed @ Staybridge Times square, New york for 16 Days.
I would give 5+ stars to Staybridge Stratford, London 1 or Zero stars to Staybridge Times Square, NY.
Review for Staybridge Times Square below
1. Lifts - Only two lifts available in 30+ story building, They are always busy. During Breakfast time I had always waited for about 10-20 Mins for lift in the narrow lobby and then got down 10 stories with my wife, yes I was staying in a room on 10th floor. And I walk about 20 times from 10th floor to ground floor. 2. Laundry - it is located in the basement which is suffocating. 2. Very narrow lobby area, where all rooms connect and lift entries are. 3. Carpets are dirty, no matter how much vacuum cleaning is done, they always have dust remaining in them, I believe they need to change them as carpets are pretty old. 4. Bad Concierge service - I was travelling from Staybridge London to Staybridge times Square New York. I asked them to book me an airport pickup cab. Staybridge, NY confirmed over email that they have booked it. I waited on JFK, NY, airport for about 2 Hours (around 10:00 PM), no one came, I called up hotel front desk multiple times, finally, I was told that concierge is closed at it will open in morning 8:00 AM so I was again hugely disappointed. There is no point committing a service that you can't provide. 5. Very small breakfast area compared to number of people in hotel, you need to wait then find a place to sit before starting breakfast. 6. Look out of window, you only garbage/Rubbish lying around in ally. No views from room as mentioned on some other reviews.
Staybridge, Stratford City was by far one of the best place I have ever stayed (mostly because of services they provided) and staff there told me that Staybridge Times Square, NY is better. I carried high hopes with me about this place in NY but it was just wastage of time and money.
You wish to stay in New York, I would recommend any place but Staybridge Times Square, NY.
For Staybridge Stratford City, London E20 1GL. I am going to write different review.
The hotel was nice, but there was quite a wait for the elevators, especially when checking out - allow extra wait time in the morning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful morning coffee in the sidewalk seating area outside. It is across from the bus terminal, which is extremely convenient if you are coming in by bus. Plenty of cabs around in the morning.
Very disappointed with this hotel, elevators waiting time on average 10 minutes, breakfasts without any interest, no good products, fridge and heating which make the noise of an airplane engine, outdated bathroom, staff not at all at the service of the customers believe that some people who give good reviews do not travel a lot to compare The only positive point is the geographical location
