Staybridge Suites Times Square, NY Reviews

I was just there for a work event for a cocktail making class. It was held in the back on the first floor. Great class but it was super hot in the room. Nice and clean hotel from what I saw.

good hotel, nice facade, but the elevators are extremely slow, as we stayed on the 28th floor
they took around 5 mins to arrive

The shower was to small. Other than that great room nice and clean.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Close to Times Square, affordable, clean. Rooms were very nice

The room was large but noisy fridge and ventilation at night

We had booked a room with 3 people - the storage space was not sufficient, so that some of the clothes had to remain in the suitcase - the window panes are not insulated, so the nights are very restless due to street and construction noise. The hotel staff was unable to repair our safe in 7 days.

We would not recommend the hotel.

Hotel just minutes from Time Square and various tourist points, metro at the end of the street with many lines served. Rooms with a small kitchenette, poorly equipped, lack of cutlery and utensils. Bedding very correct, large bed. Poor wifi at rush hours, especially at night. We had the surprise of an additional fee on the spot $ 5 / day for cleaning the room. Breakfast included and very good in my opinion with choice, sweet, salty, cut fruit, omelette, fried eggs, juice etc ... And a brunch proposed three per week from 17H00 to 19H00 (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
Very professional and helpful staff, either the reception or the waiters.
3 lifts serving 31 floors, in the morning at breakfast time, we can wait up to 10 minutes to get one.

The hotel is on a really good place in Manhattan, just a few blocks from Times Square. The breakfast are really good with many options to choose from. The rooms are nice and have a Small kitchen if you want to cook. The bad and is not an hotel fault is that there is so many people staying there that take the elevator takes like 10 minutes or more, so be prepare to wait a long time to go up or down.

Affordable for NYC. Friendly staff. Nice selection of food for continental breakfast.

Good hotel, good located near the bus terminal and a few blocks from Times Square. The rooms have a small kitchen and there are places nearby to buy food.

It has a good breakfast and the staff is very attentive.
Like several hotels in the area, they have a serious problem with elevators. If you are on a high floor plan to move out of peak hours, or be prepared to wait literally half an hour or more for the elevator. This is compounded because they have no service elevators.

The room was the smallest suite I've ever been in but then again it's Times Square in Manhattan! I doubt any hotels down there have bigger rooms. View was nothing impressive, but great access to Times Square. Would definitely consider staying again when I'm back in Manhattan.

We stayed here for our anniversary last year. The hotel service was very good. Management team were very kind and check-in was a breeze. Elevator was down for a day so that made wait times very long to get down from our floor. Food was very good ate the evening dinner. Room was nicely updated, just a bit small. Overall great hotel with a great location near many subway stations. Thanks!

Very good, very good! The hotel is close to every thing you need, and very close to Time Square.
There is a evening reception with food, wine and beer, and a full complimentary breakfast.
If you find a good price, don't be afraid to choose this hotel. The hotel is also very family friendly.

very nice rooms but elevators take forever during busy times.

They are more dated than you see in the pictures. It s an old building with slight renovations in the rooms. The shower booth is so tiny, bathroom was just ok. Slow and inefficient elevators. Housekeeping doesn t really do their job, I was disappointed by their service, they didn t clean the floor, left trash bag on the counter, etc. Most rooms are very close to the elevators, tiny and depressing old hallway, noisy fridge. I don t think I will come back.

Nice room, good view. Breakfast was a little samey but decent. Cleaners very late to rooms (4/5pm) by which time we were back and getting ready to go out.

They have a mini kitchen for extended stay. A big fridge.

The Hotel is pretty standard. The rooms are clean and the room service is good. They have a pretty nice fitness room with free weights and a cable trainer. The hotel is located centrally.
The Wifi is free but pretty bad. A lot of disconnects and it is pretty slow and inconsistent.
All in all a recommendable stay.

The location was awesome, price was very reasonable and the room was decent sized and in great condition. They had free breakfast and happy hour food... It was a lot more than I had expected for a hotel in the city at that price. I'd definitely stay again.

In the garmet district, centrally located to everything!!

I didn't expect this place would have a full kitchenette. That included a sink, stove top, full refrigerator and a dishwasher! The place was rather clean and fresh. The only minus for this place are the elevators. Sometimes it can take a long time for them to arrive.

Excellent, they never treated me better. Very good breakfast, coffee all day free and brunch from Monday to Thursday with beer included. The large and spacious rooms, the very comfortable beds and above take you to the room what you ask for internet without charge !!!

It is well located, but there are people passing through this street. Attentive staff. good room. The lift is a problem in our peak hours. The breakfast area has few seats.

Amenities not big enough for the amount of guests. Breakfast is like feeding time at the zoo. You'll spend most of your time waiting on the lifts. OK location but a lot of people sleep rough 5 yards from hotel. Probably the worst I've stayed in new york. TV has very little signal, WiFi is poor although free. Studios are good and clean. Everything you need.

For 5 nights in NYC perfectly adequate. Those who mainly use the room for sleeping will have little to complain about.
The cleanliness of the room is not really important. Is just a 3 star hotel.

Great location to attractions. Very friendly staff all around. Small elevators that we're always crowded, had to take the stairs a few times. Free happy hour was probably the best part.

Place is a dump...Two star hotel at best. Room smelled damp, air conditioning was noisy, had to carry luggage 8 flights downstairs since morning elevators always full...breakfast bar food display unattractive, not well cleaned up...looks like herd of cattle ran through it. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

wonderful stay, the staff was great the food was great, the room was great! We came for our anniversary one of the best we have ever had.

The staff is very friendly! The room size is also very good, there is a small kitchen - breakfast is free, in the evening, there is free drinks in the first floor rest area and unlimited coffee ~ next time you come to New York will come here again! 100 points

Great hotel. I would definitely stay there again. My 3 nights there were very relaxing.

Elevators are a problem... During the rush morning hours you got to wait for 15 to 20 mins to move up and down as only 3 elevators are available and each time it comes, it's packed

Rooms are a little dated, very small and noisy in general.. you can easily hear people in the other rooms

My mom and I stayed at Staybridge Suites Times Square last week. At first, when we entered the hotel room it looked very nice and clean but as I continued to inspect the room, I found light brown strains of hair on the bed. I went inside the bathroom to inspect the towels and wash clothes. One towel was stained up as if it was used and I opened a wash clothe and it had a brown hair in it. Yuck! This hotel is not clean. I feel like there's a sort negligence when it comes to the housekeeping department. In addition, our refrigerator was making so much noise. We called the front desk to get it checked out. The front desk sent a staff member upstairs to inspect the problem. The staff member just unplugged the refrigerator. The next morning we went to front desk to request the refrigerator to get plugged back on... It never happened. Even though my mom. and I stayed for two nights we couldn't wait to leave. Even sleeping in the bed I felt a little itchy. The breakfast was bad. Even though it was free, I felt like it can taste better. The food was very cold and the eggs were extremely salty. The reason I give this hotel two stars is because there were friendly staff members. I won't be staying at this hotel anymore.

I really liked the hotel, the room and well comfortable the location is very good and even better is the snack served on week days.

I recommend this hotel. I stayed here for two nights. My partner and I stayed In the suite. I enjoy the little touches to the suite such as extra napkins, glassware etc. However, on day two of our stay (5/30/20) I went down to get breakfast. The spanish, heavier set guy gave me the cold to go bag without any gloves AND gave me my plate of food without wearing any gloves. I looked in the small staff kitchen window and seen that he wasn t wearing any gloves. Why would you touch / wrap my food without wearing any gloves. You were on your phone as I walked into the pantry. We are still in a pandemic!!! WEAR GLOVES to make your customers feel safe and WASH YOUR HANDS. I ended up not eating the food which tremendously sucked.

I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience at the Staybridge Suites. The Manager Seenkei Chiew took an active interest in making my friends and I comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. They provided a complimentary breakfast and happy hour with appetizers. I went with 5 other women 77 and older and we all were very happy with this hotel. The whole staff went out of there way to smile and be pleasant. Stay at this hotel---you won't be disappointed.

All around, this was a good property. The rooms were small , but all NYC rooms are small. Great view from the room though and the view was beautiful! I was in town for business, but the location allowed me to make it a mini-vacation too. Walking distance to Times Square - about 5 minutes. Breakfast in the morning was good, but get there before the masses or you will miss out on several things. Parking is 3 blocks away, so I used valet for $75/day. Again, that's just NYC for you though. Staff was friendly and helpful though. I would stay here again anytime.

Very nice and clean hotel! Breakfast was delicious and evening social hour (monday-wednesday) was very good. Hot coffee and tea available all day and an in suite kitchenette was great. Great hotel with lots of amenities to make our trip amazing. Easy check in and out and close to subway. We were impressed.

Perfect location to get to all of New York! Subway a few meters away.

Beware of rush hours which make the wait for the elevators rather long, if you are not located too high sometimes it is better to use the stairs.

I only gave three stars because they tried their best to fix the air conditioning unit to some avail. This went on for two days. They tried their best. Second time with this company and not truly satisfied with the stay again....Holiday Inn family need to get it together ...before you end up bought out by your competitor.
