The hotel is good. The normal price is much too expensive. Rooms are quiet. Nice pool bar on the roof. Service and breakfast very good. Close to MRT. Marina Bay within walking distance.

The room is so small yet so HIP! You could control everything in your room with the iPad provided. Furthermore, They provide a mini bar which is free! Yep you read it right, everything in mini bar is FREE! Other than that, this hotel has a great service and unique welcome drink which comes in a vial.

Although we were not guests of the hotel, I wanted to offer a complement and thanks to Siti Saleha -Assistant Duty Manager of SO.

My friend and I walked in from the night markets hoping to have a drink at the SO rooftop bar. Unfortunately it was closed for a private function. Siti was very friendly and kind enough to offer alternative suggestions. She organized a taxi for us. Much to our surprise when we arrived at our destination, the taxi driver informed us that the fair was already paid for. This act of kindness absolutely blew us away.

Siti, your customer service was exceptional and I hope you receive recognition for this. We will be sure to stay at your hotel next time.

The personal was nice, the room left us speechless and was one of the most beautiful sofitel room we saw, the view on skylines from the rooftop was amazing.

Nice amenities, friendly service, clean rooms. The bathroom is a bit small though

Restaurants are very mediocre. Drinks and food not great.

Most polite staff on the front counter and concierge. In particular Azrul is a wonderful ambassador for your City Guru desk. Paulo in the restaurant was superb and kind to my wife and really went out of his way to help her.
My only small 'gripe', is that a hotel room with two people in it, should have TWO chairs and TWO luggage racks. I had to request these and some delay in getting them.
Extremely comfortable bed and the size is unbelievable (above Californian King) with an excellent pillow menu.

Overall, the look/feel and cleanliness of the hotel was really nice. It feels more like a bedroom than a hotel. The customer service is nice, too. However, there were a few hiccups over my stay that when add up would make me reconsider...
1. I had a strange smell in my room. The only way i can describe it is of melted/burnt plastic. It would come in waves, and wouldnt change if i had the aircon on/off. I figured it may have been from some construction outside, but it was quite strong
2. Noise. There was some construction happening beside the hotel and it felt like it was literally beneath you. Granted, the hotel cant be blamed for that, but when the construction stopped i could hear anything and everything from the room next to mine which meant the walls are very very thin. I could hear people showering, going to the toilet, watching tv, you name it. This was probably my biggest bug of the whole stay
3. Technology was consistently an issue. First the phone wouldnt work, then the wifi (had to use the public wifi not guest) and then the TV started playing up.
4. Perhaps most seriously: When i connected occasionally to the public wifi and tried to load a webpage i got a notification saying my wifi was compromised and there was some sort of hack/interception with my internet. Given the recent WPA2 hack, i promptly disconnected my wifi which meant i barely used it. The hotel needs to check their security ASAP

I was actually going to call to have my room changed/complain, but figured with 2 nights it wasnt worth it. If the above was not an issue, i would give it 10/10

The room was very well maintained , very good ambience, very pleasing staff members and fantastic roof top pool/bar.

The best thing is complete room automation using iPad & iPhone, which i loved the most ,i have never seen such kind of automation in any of the hotels that i traveled around the world.

Right in the heart of the business district; well appointed rooms; good restaurant.

Clean, cute interior.
People were also really nice.

It could have been better if there were better amenities. Shampoo and conditioner didn t smell so good. You d better bring your own.

The restaurant is really bad overall. The food is not too bad. But the service staffs are just on of the worst I've com acrossed.

There seem no way you can make eye contact with the staffs, and even when you do, you will almost never get what you want.

It is very sad to see such a nice hotel filled with staffs that just isn't going to cut it.

Had dinner there. Food was not too bad but service was average. Took quite awhile to get seated even though there weren't many people eating. We had the 36hour lamb neck which my husband said was good and the grilled red snapper which was huge. But would have been better if there was more gravy. Truffle fries was meh... no truffle taste at all.

I first came to this hotel. It's very stressful not to see the hotel Lobby door. Taxi up to 3 times the rotation is not found too. Finally down the edge of the highway / light traffic

I just love this hotel with a passion. It's so sophisticated and chic. Really great service from every person from the doorman to the front desk!

As it's located in the prime of the CBD, it tends to get busy after office hours. Nonetheless, the staff are excellent. I do like the bar here.

The one thing that amazed me is that most of the staff remember the names of the guests! This is fantastic as it makes one really feel at home. Definitely 5 stars!

Just first time in Singapore this hotel is very convenience for food&drink and city tour also hotel room very nice with high ceiling felt very comfortable including high technology manual function with i-pad controller so great! Thanks Mr.ISMAIL City Guru and the reception she was checked in me very helpful.

Stylish modern hotel in the city center. The frontdesk is modern and makes you feel very welcome. The lounge area at the lobby is lovely. The hotel is 5 minutes from the nearest mrt station. Love the concept by Karl Lagerfeld.

From the Accor stable, situated on Robinson, kinda a boutique hotel in an old place. Lovely ambiance. Nice swimming pool on 6th floor.

This hotel is amazing. Great CBD location across Lau Pa Sat, the grandeur of the halls is quite impeccable. Overall, my stay here was top notch.

The staff are exceptional and the private dining/ meeting room which we hired was well laid out and catered.
The rooms are beautifully decorated however the design is not overly practical. We could clearly hear the person in the room next door, even when they sneezed!
Some aspects of the room were poorly designed such as no area for your suitcase (the wardrobe is very shallow). Poor lighting in the room and in the bathroom makes doing your makeup very difficult.
Had to use the phone in the toilet to call for room service! They provide Iphones in the room however it is not easy to use when it keeps displaying an error.

Hotel's Valet service guys are awesome. Had some trouble with getting transport but one of the guys, Raffie, made it possible and help to eliminate my difficulties I had with the cab drivers. Good Job!

Stylish boutique hotel in a central location ... Karl Lagerfeld has left his "traces" here in terms of design, but still: quite recommendable.
The service could sometimes be a bit more attentive and faster - but super friendly. Complaints are taken very seriously (rooms had to be changed because of the musty smell - you clearly noticed: you do everything to please the guests). Smell issue: yes, the hotel values its own fragrance (urban jungle) - unusual but not too strong, somehow something different than the same fragrances with which you are received in most hotels.
The room furnishings leave little to be desired, minibar is included in the price - it's worth looking in every drawer, you can find something everywhere. Everything - TV, lights, curtains - is controlled via an iPad, the telephone in the room is controlled by an iPhone.
The pool and rooftop bar were closed for renovation, but it wasn't a loss for me - there is a second bar in the lobby next to the restaurant.
Overall: highly recommended, very good price / performance ratio for a 5 star hotel.

small yet nice rooms.. everything is well designed with chic vibe. free non-alcoholic drinks in minibar, complete with nespresso coffee machine. there's ipad provided for guest to access the room facilities.

the downside was really small swimming pool, and it is regularly used for party.

All fine, the air conditioning was way way to low. Not eco friendly and completely unnecessary. You just get sick if it is 35 degrees outside and 17 (default setting) inside.

Also it would be much cheaper to offer customers that kindly ask for special prices if they find them on other websites. I had to book on another website, which must have cost Sofitel a huge referral amount, unnecessary if the customer service would have replied me correctly.

Fabulous stay. Loved the boutique style of the Hotel. The staff were very attentive, particularly the Concierge staff. The downfall was the room layout. There weren't enough flat areas to put things on. The wardrobe intruded into the room, making the room seem smaller. The bathroom was awkward as the toilet was in the way when accessing the shower. This was the only negative thing about my stay.

I left $ 100 in the room and when I returned the money was gone.
Also, I forgot a suitcase at the hotel, tried to call and couldn't.
I thought the hotel was going to send me an email communicating, but they didn't send anything.

The hotel is great. Great pool. Excellent breakfast.

This was my first stay at the Sofitel So, as I usually stay at other Accor hotels when travelling through Singapore.
From arrival to departure your staff could not have been more courteous or helpful.My room was amazing and the bed exceptional. I will try to book here in the future especially when I have family travelling with me.

It was a sweet experience; concierge was helpful. The room is comfortable and well equipped. Excellent touch with the complimentary in-room bar.

If you're being picky, the room could be more spacious, and the AC could be more quiet. Other than that, over it's good. Free mini bar!

From the extremely professional, friendly welcome over the welcome drink to the absolutely exciting interior, the first impression was perfect.
A very attractive and interesting room, very clean and equipped with many details. The cleanliness very good and the bed according to the world Sofitel standard accordingly wonderful sleepable.
Very good breakfast, great pastries for afternoon tea and the nightcap at the rooftop bar by the pool.
In short: a great short break in the middle of Singapore and for our honeymoon a successful start.

It's a superb hotel right in the heart of downtown. Excellent facilities and amenities, room was full of small surprises. Very designer architecture and interiors. Amazingly helpful staff. I've stayed at MBS also in Singapore. Of course MBS has a beautiful view and it's an unbeatable complex. But if we only look at hospitality of both places, I'd say SO Sofitel has the cherry on the top.

Quirky hotel with a modern aesthetic. Rooms are spacious and sound proof. Local food is right at your door step witb Lau pa sha located right next to the hotel. And Mrt is around 10mins walk away.

From the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic. Every need was catered for. Loved the rooftop bar for a pre dinner drink. This hotel has a great vibe.

Clean and cozy atmosphere. Shopping around the hotel. Merlion Park and Marina Bay Sands are just 20 minutes walk away.

Extremely prime location. Friendly service. Using an iPad to control everything from aircon, TV to lighting and curtains is extremely cool and convenient. Very cool design though a bit too fancy and slightly not high end enough. But don't be mistaken, I am overall very pleased with my stay at the hotel.

If I really have to suggest two areas of improvements, they would be (1) kind of strange and personally I am not too comfortable with the toilet and bathroom being separated without a tap and basin to wash my hands in the toilet (but overall the room is clean, with which I am happy with), and (2) food at breakfast is not varied and hot enough.

Went to the So Chocolate shop and purchase a box of chocolate. Service was slow and the person who attended to me seems to be a trainee. Lack of knowledge by the staff and mistake were made. Took more than 15 minutes to finish my transaction when I was the only customer and it was a takeaway.

Accor and other countries sofitel is not as much as membership
Despite the Gold rating, the room upgrade is not good and I do not ask if I need late check out
The first room I was assigned to was full of sand on the beds and smell of mold in the air conditioner.
I did not feel the merit compared to other hotels.

We stayed here with 2 kids, so I feel that the room is kinda small for the four of us. But other than that, I love everything about So Sofitel. Most importantly the hotel is near the MRT station. The room is clean and comfortable. The staffs are very friendly. We love the SO free mini bar and the kids love the smart control iPad.

We'll definitely recommend So Sofitel and hopefully we'll be back the next time we come to Singapore.

MReally spacious and comfortable rooms with generous bathrooms and fantastic service from the front dest.
We arrived early (before 10am) and were still able to access our room, and were offered a late checkout and shower room on checking out at 8 pm.... Really a very helpful and thoughtful Hotel.

Stylist and cozy hotel. Very conveniently located at the heart of the city.

While be frank, maintenance of fixtures and decor status need improvements. Room condition not good enough incl. 1) the bathroom water temperature extremely hot despite turning the knob to the cold side 2) the bathroom basin drainage was extremely slow.

Gym room at 2/F even though not spacious still good for workout however on the last morning of my workout there, the water machine was somehow dripping water and the gym room floor was partially flooded, which was unnoticed by the hotel management for quite a while and I have to inform the front desk. This is disappointing.

Re the breakfast venue, I have to comment for 2 issues: 1) again hardware condition was mediocre as guests can easily spot the brownish rusty metal frames facing up under glass tables 2) buffet fruit bar is a good idea for health choices of fruits provided they are fresh, which is not always the case as I easily spotted some rotten grapes at the bottom of the bowl in 2 mornings when I was picking some fruits at the fruit bar. Again, this is disappointing.

Hotel staff are quite helpful though. But remember hotel business in particular high end hotels talking about details where devils lying in there. Missing any single detail and spotted by any guest, he would definitely not coming back and so are his friends i.e. running the high risk of losing a lot of customers including the potential ones.

Good luck and I hope my observations are taken onboard seriously and things are improved in very near future.

The Novel was a nice clean hotel . Located conveniently to the Hawkers markets . Great place to eat

Excellent hotel but it depends on which rooms you are staying (the internal ones are small and with indirect light). Excellent breakfast and great choice.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. Wonderful room, great staff and great service. The breakfast was top. We greatly appreciated that after the check out we could still use a room to shower. Also the rooftop bar with pool were great.

Everyone is so nice, kind and I had a great stay with So Sofitel Singapore. Will definitely recommend this place to my friend who wants to hold a party. The design of the hotel is super gorgeous my guests were so impressed! This is definitely one of the best stays I had!
