Weaknesses in detail, 2, treadmill over the entire stay broken, water leak from the ceiling in the restaurant, restaurant on the ground floor was refused, because only a drink should be ordered. There was no other table occupied, not even for the time of waiting for a taxi was granted access. Housekeeper enters the room without prior call waiting.

Very nice hotel in the business district of Singapore.

Rather well placed. Bars and restaurants within 10/15 minutes walk.

Our room was fine but the window was placed high so no view of the outside and suddenly the room was dark.

The decor of the hotel and rooms is rather nice. It changes what is found in other hotels in the same category.

The pool is on a roof in the middle of the building. She is golden. The pool bar is very nice at the end of the day.

We were very happy with the friendly staff, the reception crew and the ambassadors. We were underwhelmed with the food in the restaurant which was disappointing. Otherwise everything else was lovely. Would definitely considering returning.

You should be very proud of your staff who were friendly and very accommodating. The room was lovely. We loved the extremely comfortable giant sized bed, the atmosphere, the attention to detail and the hotel products, snacks and drinks. The restaurant staff were very helpful and the food very good.
It was our first stay at your hotel but it wont be the last.
We had a wonderful time and felt very comfortable and welcomed at your hotel.
It was good to see that you had gluten free food options - your chia breakfast pots were sensational.

Each services are really great. The room was quiet & clean. I could spend great time at this hotel.
The hotel location is also good. There is in financial district, so we can access to any buildings in the area on foot.
The hotel fee is expensive but there is worth to pay for it.

The hotel staff is super friendly. The location is good, but a metro or taxi is needed to get to the center. Breakfast is very tasty and extensive. The free minibar is a big plus. The pool is not that big, but we were lucky that it was almost empty.

Checked-in after midnight. The staff was waiting for me. Free streets, I was told by my taxi, which surround the hotel, have been under construction for 2+ years.

Excellent location.

Singapore taxis are charging a surcharge for using VISA CARD. ILLEGAL. Violates agreement with of North America.

Nice room. Very nice. I was impressed with the hotel from the time I arrived at the entrance.

Rooms are terrific. Wonderfully well appointed. Extra goodies are excellent.

Staff the front counter are correct. Facts : 1. Staff at front desk are Filipino. 2. Singapore women are awesomely beautiful.

Buffet breakfast is one of the best I've enjoyed. Hotels these days tend to high on price, and low on quality, for breakfast. So Sofitel will bless your culinary side.

Chrysanthemum tea is morning tea, camomile tea is bed time tea. They do not have chrysanthemum tea or other Chinese foods, such as yak butter, or the of the list, no white tea, green tea, etc.

Building is very nice!

I am gold member with Accor. Room was not upgraded. I always wonder if hotels are sincere regarding free upgrades to premiere level members.

Variety, and quality of food is good. Nothing burned, dried out, or the like. Excellent, including fresh squeezed juices.

I would give the hotel a B+ because of the following : 1) quality of staff ranges from high end, to low end; 2) I did not get my upgrade, or, any other benefit of my membership level ; 3) Chinese City State which does not have Chinese tea. I ordered in English, and Cantonese. Only have chamomile; 4) no Singapore women or men working here. Singapore women are beautiful.

Should you stay here? Yes.

Do not expect to receive you free upgrade if you are Accor member.

Do not expect any benefits from gold membership. None at all.

Sofitel has this junk called "system music." If you find it extremely loud, you cannot escape. If you find the system music offensive, you cannot escape. Staff does not like music, no culture likes the music. Sofitel has never polled guests as to comment.

Pictures do not show system music, or people complaining.

Staying in Sofitel, or any hotel, and having banging music forced upon you, not fun.

Pictures are reviews do not discuss system music. I like the people, but hate the system music.

Sofitel employees low end Filipinos who cannot speak English which has been their national language since 1895. Speech is in prepositional phrases, full of rolling superlatives, and finding a subject is nearly impossible. Sofitel opts to hire very fat, very ugly, female, very low educated Filipinos. Good thing is that Sofitel is not importing katoey (homosexuals).

I live in Vietnam. I do not know if the coffee in Sofitel is Singapore culture, or Sofitel culture, but they do not have coffee. Pan American, which changed its name from Sofitel Plaza, in Hanoi makes excellent coffee, known as "coffee vin".

The best coffee in the world is lopichek, which is a rat who chews on the coffee beans, which are then harvested.

The second best choice is weasel, which is also a weasel (rat like animal), who chews of the beans.

Brazil is the largest producer of coffee beans. Vietnam is the largest roaster of coffee beans, in the world.

Pecolated coffee with some company name is mixed with cornmeal, and tastes like metal. This hotel use a brand name coffee not a good coffee.

The hotel has only camomile tea which is a night time tea for Chinese. Morning tea chrysanthemum, bonei, yak butter, white teas. Not available here.

Good thing : buffet breakfast includes mineral water.

My stay was ok and the staff were friendly; however, I was charged twice and the hotel was unresponsive when I followed up. I had opted for fast checkout i.e. the invoice was sent to my email. While returning the room keys, I saw another guest who had been charged incorrectly. At that point of time, I didn't expect that I will be wrongly charged as well. My advice is to not go for fast check out and review each and every item on your invoice before you make a payment. All the trouble following up isn't worth it

Not up to Sofitel standards:

Not up to Sofitel standards:
- low level of service, no one at the door when arriving or departing. Have to carry suitcases up and Down the stairs
- disappointing food and service for breakfast in main restaurant. Buffet not replenished regularly. Food cleared even before official time of closing, without any information to guests.
- location isn t ideal and road closures at night during weekend make it very complicated for taxi to reach, some drivers are refusing to take the road because it is one way most of the day.

We checked in at 2pm but the room was still not ready. The staff was friendly and offered us coffee while we waited but I would have wished there would be not wait at all since we were not checking in before the stipulated time.

The room is pretty and clean but as we faced the alley, we had a group of 5-6 staff smoking right outside across the street. They could see us and I could see them. As a result, we had to have the night curtains closed for the duration of the stay.

The breakfast was great.

Gorgeously decorated hotel. Fairly quick check in. Everything in the room is controlled by an iPad. Not very kid friendly. Right next to Lau Pa Sat. Stayed in the So Urban room which is a decent size. There are free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in the mini bar.

From the time we met Sally at reception till we got in our taxi being farewelled by Arnel,Azrul and Nazar the whole experience was way above expectations.
Ismail was extremely helpful throughout our stay even though his tip for the races was a dud, however he did go to great lengths to provide us with form guide for Singapore Derby.
Elena made sure our checkout was without fuss and explained everything about our stay was explained.
Well done also to restaurant staff and others we didn't get names of.

The hotel has professional and friendly service, and the facilities and facilities in the room are perfect for the chain hotel system above the star level!
Not only clean and comfortable, but also the air in the hotel with a touch of aroma!
It is a pity that although the room where I lived has a window but there is no outside, the window is open and is the corridor of the hotel hall. This is a strange configuration that will not be found in the high-end hotel.

Really efficient check-in (early as our flight was in the morning). Room was spotless, all the little touches make it really special. We had the pool all to ourselves in the afternoon before popping out for the day. Nice touch from all the staff to welcome you back in the evening. Overall we felt really welcomed and accommodated for the night!

After a positive experience in Sofitel Sentosa, we...

After a positive experience in Sofitel Sentosa, we were looking forward to our SO pad in the city. It was located within the business district, just minutes walk from 2 train stations and looking into the popular Lau Pa Sat market. This was ideal for meetings with our bankers and associates in Singapore.

The heritage colonial office exterior were starkly juxtaposed with ultra-modern interiors. Shining, glinting and glowing hexagonal design elements stood out in the lobby. Scattered around were the artistic influences of Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld.

Our suite was where fashion art met French colonial interiors. Parisian white paneled walls that stretched upwards created a gallery for brightly colored art and furniture statements. They also masked a generous wardrobe and beverage station.

The chic design elements continued into the over-sized bath and washroom area. We enjoyed having the his and hers vanity counters, a 2-person shower area and a standing tub wide enough for both of us, side by side. The room's design elements also made references to Singapore and it's cultural nuances.

We loved watching the city wake up from our private balcony. It was also ideal for sipping on a glass of wine in the night before retreating to our comfy king-sized bed and pillows.

Service from reception to concierge to restaurant was friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast post the morning executive rush was relaxing and satisfying. We also appreciate the welcome gift of pastries upon checking in and drinks by the open-air gold mosaic pool.

For a stay all SO chic and luxurious, we couldn't have chosen a better city hotel.

Very modern and stylish hotel that built on historical building, just close to Telok Ayer market that you can dine for breakfast/lunch/dinner there. The swimming pool is golden and lovely. I lived in a suite room and it's extremely large in the singapore standard. simply loved the hotel!

Nothing was too much with this hotel. THe staff were warm and welcoming and went out of their way to help you. The room was clean and today and the extras were much appreciated. THe location of the hotel was excellent as it had a wonderful food area directly outside and was also come to 3 train stations. I really loved the fact that before our late night flight from Singapore to London we were offered a hospitality room to use which gave us the chance to freshen up before our flight.

I really enjoyed my stay at So Sofitel. I stayed in the "So Urban" room which is a great size and was very comfortable. The complimentary food and drinks in the mini bar and the illy coffee, which were re-stocked each day, were very much appreciated. A very minor criticism is the thinness of the walls between the rooms. I was able to clearly hear people in the rooms next to me.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant from my first day until the last. All staff members I encountered were always happy to help me with any queries and were quick to offer helpfukl tips and tricks for getting around and visiting places in Singapore.

The breakfast at the Xperience Restaurant was amazing, with there being a wide variety of western and traditional Singaporean food on offer. The food was always tasty and of good quality. Being given a french press full of freshly made coffee rather than a single cup was a great touch on top of the food on offer.

Overall, I had an enjoyable stay at So Sofitel and would recommend it to others travelling to Singapore.

Cozy and hip for the youngsters (or the ones who like to stay young). Rooms are decent size and well equipped, free mini-bar with both (non-alcoholic) drinks and snacks. Very good breakfast - hotel was fullly booked one evening but still not at all crowded at breakfast. Plentiful, very helpful and friendly staff. Recommended.

I would like to share my experience working at this hotel as a banquet server. Was new to banquet but more than willing to learn however i was brushed off by the the person who was suppose to guide me along simply by saying i have no time now and got scolded for nothing when they have miscommunication among themselves and delivered wrong messages to me but i got scolded even though i followed the instruction given treated unfairly rude and pinpointing me because my agent reflected the issue to the hotel unreasonable assistant operation manager Jacky Chia. Second day of work was asked to leave just 30mins into the work because i was honest that i didnt like the way attitude language tone from the assistant manager Jacky Chia. I would like to feedback to the hotel management about this at the same time serve as a reminder to you that every staff even the part timers that works for the hotel should be treated with upmost respect. I do hope the hotel would not only take into account the well-being of their guest but also their staff especially when they are new and unfamiliar. Didnt have a chance to voice out as i left the place with tears felt so wronged. Thankyou.

While the view from the high floor is important, this hotel is convenient to go anywhere though it is low floor, welcome drink is also test tube with mango juice in test tube, the room has a large bath tub, the shower room also comes out from the ceiling Coming type, drinks free, amenities for men, for women were fulfilling, and it was fashionable, convenient and comfortable. I want to use it again when I go to Singapore.

Everything looks premium. You're provided with a phone and tablet to use (though the tablet is frustrating as hell to use). A lot of the things are/can be controlled using the tablet, even the curtains! There's an umbrella, iron and ironing board in the hotel room. Breakfast choices and quality are pretty decent, though the fruit juices are not freshly squeezed (which is what I would expect for the price). Very good experience overall.

Great location - right at the center of CBD and across the street from a huge hawker center.
Smaller than the usual business hotels (both in number of rooms and size of the room) but it's well-kept and high-tech (iPads and iPhones in each room).

Only thing I disliked was that I wasn't getting natural light in my room. Some rooms look out into the atrium of the hotel.

Quite impressed with the decor of the hotel. However, overall service levels were not up to the mark. Response times for room service orders (breakfast tea only!) was slower than I experience in other hotels during my business trips across Asia and beyond. On the first day, when I returned back from work, I found that, while the room was cleaned, the tray for morning tea was not yet cleared. More critically, I am yet to receive the invoice for my stay despite being told that it will be emailed. While I have received this survey email, I am yet to receive an invoice and planning to call the hotel Monday morning, since I need the invoice for my expense claim.

This is now our fourth stay at your property, and whilst it was for just one night we noticed the attention to detail is not what it has been in the past. On this occasion we booked a Suite with Champagne breakfast, however this was totally overlooked by the staff. As a platinum member we had a complimentary drink voucher which we went to use before departure and ordered a wine and signature cocktail, however we were told it could not be used for the cocktail despite not delivering on the champagne breakfast. We were returning from a three week vacation in Europe where we stayed at Accor properties for the duration, I would think there is no better demonstration of brand loyalty than this, therefore there is an expectation that this would be rewarded by the properties. Perhaps look to the Sofitel in Frankfurt where the service was sensational. Whilst it is only a little thing I would have to say this time we did not feel like Accor platinum members who had stayed at your property four time before and introduced three seperate other guest to your property, Oh well better luck next time.

Inadequacy and inexperience of front line staff has not improved though it's our 2nd visit. Upon check in was informed we will be getting a surprise upgrade. Whats promised was rather hilarious as we knew we booked the VIP in our original booking. Nothing came out of that upgrade promise nor the concierge call to ensure a kiddy pack be made available for my visiting 2 year old niece. Repeated reminders were not followed up with one follow up call offering incredulously to arrange an extra bed. Buck up your act, team.

Very beautiful hotel in the heart of Singapore's business district. Check in is 3pm. The room is wider than expected. In the room, there are non-alcoholic beverages for free as well. If it is an alcohol, it must be paid separately. In the bathroom there is a bathtub with a separate shower and toilet. Inside the room is beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, but the lights give a little light in the room, causing the room to be a bit dark. Beside the school, there is a night market where you can sit, eat and drink.
