The staff were great from the reception staff, to the dining area and cleaners.
Food in the restaurant was very good, the hotel was a close walk to many interesting areas including Chinatown, the marina area and it was fantastic having satays in the neighboring street at night.
There was a great deal of food choices available to us outside of the hotel also.
The rooms are a little small for our liking as we had full suitcases having been travelling to another country beforehand.
Special thanks to Elena at reception as she was always helpful, and had a lovely, friendly demeanor.
Also Paulo (? spelling correct) in the restaurant who served us. He was also a delightful young man.
The hotel is very chilly though in hte reception area although it is good relief from the humidity outside.
I loved the scent of the corridors/hallways to our room!
All in all, a lovely stay. Thank-you

Was disappointed that the pool was rented out for a raucous private function. Next morning it was being washed when we went at the opening time. Breakfast was OK. Reception was rather haughty. No recognition for Platinums.

Strategic location, next to hawker food station, room so cozy and everything controlled using ipad. Service of workers are fine

Great service and comfortable room, pretty clean i must say. However I did develop a rash after my stay (I don't have allergies) so maybe they can look into cleanliness of bed, cushions and the bathrobe

Stayed with you got business for 6 nights and it was a fantastic experience., The hotel is beautiful but what stands out is the attention to detail. The fact that the cleaning staff moved the slippers from the left to the right hand side of the bed because they saw that this was the side i was sleeping on is incredible. Amazing hotel, friendly staff and great location.

If you want to use a clean toilet near La Opasa, rent the first floor here.

Friendliness of all staff, nice upgrade thanks to my status and late checkout. Besides the hotel that I like (I stay there every time) my Platinum status has been fully taken into account

Comfortable overall but a lack of windows & too much artificial lighting. Bar on the roof is nice. But a little gaudily decorated and staff are not so smooth with customer service.

Breakfast experience want great. Too large a crowd, for too small a space.

Dim sum is okay but start serving with dim sum and not fried rice and a bowl of soup to fill up the guests !

Was eating dinner at Lau Pa Sat and needed to go to the washroom badly. I entered the hotel and asked to use the washroom, they told me that i had to be a guest to use it. At this point I was very urgent and begged them to allow me to use it . They said no and told me to leave. Take note I was dressed appropriately and I spoke to them in a nice manner.

Staff were very friendly and attentive to the needs of the guests. Service exceeds expectation and room was huge and in very good condition. Very pleasant experience during the stay.

First time in Singapore I chose the SO Sofitel for a one night stay. Did the room upgrade package that comes with breakfast and an enormous room. (Huge Bathroom!)
Hotel offers great In- room amenities.
Quality lotions, deluxe shave kits, facial masks, scents to wear, free treats and drinks from the mini fridge, complimentary mobile wifi router (to bring on the go), In-room Ipad for browsing and an awesome Nespresso machine!
They have a decent gym/fitness center and a gorgeous pool. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, appetizing and a good selection of local and cultural dishes too!
One word to describe this hotel would be... Boutique. Cute decor throughout.

Went for dinner and ordered a 3 course meal. The service was excellent, but the food(especially main course, ordered a risotto) could have been MUCH better.

Love the hotel design. We stayed in so cozy. The room is decorated beautifully. It is a bit small but cozy, and feels very modern. Bed is too soft for me. You can control a lot of stuffs with their iPad. The room iPhone is a bit useless. You can only use it to make a phone call.
The rooftop pool is a bit small and not as we expected. Would love to stay here again in the future and hopefully get a room upgrade. ;)

Overall a great hotel, top floor pool with bar, very unique decor, type was missing in our bathroom. Overall all good.

Lovely hotel, incredible pool. Location ideal, food market right outside. Kitsch decor. Standard rooms are a little small, only one espresso capsule, and no baths.

Was ok. In room automation by iPad was surprisingly good. Rooms were small but clean.
Bed/pillows too soft. Rooftop pool looked run down.

Rooms can be facing interior lobby. Breakfast was good, good location; pool and terrace not great.

The staffs were very nice, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. As a whole, the hotel provided a wonderful and amazing experience to us, especially the integration of modern technology in the equipment.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. the rooms was very comfortable with easy to operate controls for everything using an Ipad. Very comfortable bed and great shower. The So Cosy rooms are a little small for a stay longer than 2 or 3 nights. The roof op bar comes alive every night and is obviously a hip place for locals as well as hotel guests.

Three course business lunch was pretty average. Everything was ok nothing great or amazing. A cheese board with one block of cheese just wasn't cutting it. The ribs were a little dull and lacked real flavour. For the price there are much better business lunches around the area. However the staff were great and made customers feel welcome. Open kitchen concept is nice except if seated close by prepare to smell.

Surprisingly so so... very expensive hotel considering the other superior hotels around it.

Very beautiful hotel. The staff are all amazing and super helpful. The rooms, while a little small, are extremely clean and beautifully decorated, with advance d features like full automation controlled by an iPad on the night stand! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Hotel located at a good location at the heart of CBD. Food at the restaurant was average and price was too high for its quality, staff were inexperienced too. Toilets had weird placement, urinal beside the sink? Odd stuff. Not a very pleasant experience for a hotel which labels itself as 5 stars.

The new 1927 Rooftop Bar and Pool offers a view as you enjoy cocktails, bar food and other beverages.

Everything in the room is placed at a convenient location, easy to find, nothing is missing (except maybe envelopes). The iPhone was cool, the room management system on the iPad was very nice - controlling everything! Amazing! The Paris-style room decor was impressive, however not everyone enjoy the french style noisy bathroom drain. Staff service was impeccable. Overall a great experience. Bravo.

We were attracted by the beautiful architecture and nice ambience in the lobby so we decided to go in for a coffee. There were no service staff at the lobby cafe, so we just find a seat by ourselves. When we wanted to sit at a table, one waiter came to ask if we are here for drinks, we said yes. He told us that table is for dining, so we stood up, but he didn t tell us where we can sit. We then found a seat near the window and we have to ask him if it s ok for us to sit there. We asked if there s any cakes or scone, he just answer NOPE , with an attitude of course. Overall, we just don t feel welcomed here, should have just find a Starbucks nearby. We felt very disappointed.

Overall experience was amazing. Staff were very professional and went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable. The room was superburb with high speed internet, beautiful bathroom extremely well equiped and the decor spectacular. Hope to return

The experience was priceless as we treated like kings and queen. The customer service was immeasurable and perfect, the food was off this world as the cheff was waow. Wish to visit there soonest.

Breakfast was generally dry and cold..and couldn t order my tea or coffee during 30 mins so I grabbed one outside of the hotel. Probably staffs were busy though the floor was not fully occupied. Still it s a pretty hotel and hope it was just the incident of that day only.

Excellent hotel. Stayed here 3 nights for my 30th bday great central location great room and great staff. Even though rooftop was closed for refurbishment theylooked after us so well. Dinner and breakfast were yummy too!

Everything was perfect and most enjoyable. the french inspired design & furnishing, smart room functions and the spacious room was wonderful. would defnitely stay again.

Very modern hotel and breakfast is amazing! Rooms have rugs that hace a very musty smell. I changed rooms thinking it was only my room but the next one had the same smell. Kind of like wet dog.

The hotel is beginning to see dilapidated, and the maintenance feels a bit ordinary.
The air-conditioning in the room should be large enough to get rid of the musty smell, the toilet smells, and there is still a little air-opening all night.
Adequate spares, there is a bed-opening service, all can be controlled by IPAD, convenient!
Room SIZE I think is OK, big enough.
The hotel pool is small and there are many beach chairs.
It s easy to get off the street at Shabu Street.

Our stay was amazing everyone so friendly how the staff said welcome back when you have been out all day. I would like to let you no about one of your staff his name is Howard Huang he was so helpful and veryfriendly to us both .

Very helpful and courteous staff whether front office, restaurant, concierge or housekeeping. The only setback was on our second day where the room was not made up when we came back at about 4pm. Though we put the sign on.

The restaurant had a nice interior design and the food was delish.

We were looked after from the moment we arrived. We arrived early in the morning and were given a room as soon as we arrived, which after a long overnight flight was a gift. The day we were leaving we had an evening flight and were offered a hospitality room for half an hour so we could shower and change before we left. Excellent service.

the service was excellent from the time of arrival. we were able to walk to most locations including the sky gardens and marine sands hotel. The roof top bar was very good, although drinks quite expensive. The room and bathroom facilities very modern, using iPad controls. overall would stay again.

This boutique hotel is located in the quiet end of the CBD next to a hawker food centre. I don't really like the decor of the hotel but that's only my personal view or taste. The overall vibe of the hotel is fun and easy going yet maintaining a high quality service.

After three stays over the last few years at Sofitel So Singapore, we have no hesitation to call this hotel our favourite in Singapore Service is flawless, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, breakfast is excellent, we love the rooftop pool and bar and the location is perfect for exploring near and far. Complimentary items in the room are also a luxurious bonus - from abundant toiletries and water bottles to a portable wifi hub. Can t wait for our next stay!

Central location in financial district. Very attentive conceige and front desk. Rooms spot on and we'll maintained. Disappointingly the restaurant was a little hit and miss, in particular at breakfast. Some days the service was bang on, other days not so much. On balance, would stay here again.

Spent only one night here in transit but would have love to stay longer. Lovely boutique hotel, located just across the road from the market where there is a large range of hawker food on offer. This hotel was beautifully restored and converted from an old colonial building. Bedroom is very neat and quiet, with French chic. Wonderful and extremely helpful staff down at the concierge, on check-in and on check-out. Thanks very much to Tyson for all your help and courtesy. Greatly appreciated. Strongly recommended and would definitely come back again .

What a beautiful hotel. Gorgeous rooms, well designed lobby - everything feels first class. In fact it was the first time in a long time that I've wanted to talk something home from a hotel. Unfortunately my room smelled a bit musty, in fact if it was not midnight when I checked in I would have walked right back out. I know it's tough in Singapore, but from a hotel that felt so premium I expected perfection. I'd definitely come back, but next time I'll be a bit more picky.

Good and bad. The entire hotel looks like a showroom for the ostentatious furniture store Zgallery. Great service from the staff...1.5-2 block proximity to one of 3 metro stations/lines.. but literally 20 feet from the world renowned boon tat st satay food Bazar, which is very festive every night. Really something and the food smells and tastes amazing. The 6th story rooftop pool is lovely and we are glad we visited it Sunday afternoon. Comfy bed, smallish room but bathroom feels like it was in the room itself.

At the moment it is not open for public booking as it is serving as SHN lodging for the Immigration Department of Singapore

The location of the hotel is great, the architecture too. But unfortunately that is it. The front desk is always overwhelmed/understaffed. It takes forever to checkin - even in the afternoon long after check in time. If you (very politely) complain, nobody seems to care.

No compensation offered, no upgrade, not even a drink while waiting.

Any of these - or at the least a sincere apology - would have been normal in any other five star hotel. Not at the SO. And we waited more than 45 minutes to get our room. At 4pm ....

Then the room smelled moldy and the aircon didn't work properly. The next room was the same. We gave up.

At the pool there were never enough loungers for the guests, etc.

A complaint management is not in place respectively could not be bothered. That includes (!) the GM, Mr. Hosany.

AVOID. Singapore Hotels are expensive, but there must (is) be much better out there, especially at these tariffs.

Such a nice hotel right in the centre of the city, so easily accessible to do much. Staff is incredibly helpful and nice as well. Bed was very comfortable and I appreciated how much was included with the room (free mini bar, great toiletries, breakfast, etc). Will definitely stay here again when I'm in town for business.
