If I could give a minus star rating etc. and still have not received a response to our email, three weeks later....
So disappointed about our recent visit to Sofitel and Spa for couples massage package, a very special occasion which we looked forward to immensely. Whilst we understand current circumstances restrict some service, the condition of the SoSpa was unacceptable: uneven and broken flooring, buckets scattered to collect rain leaking through the roof and the 'jacuzzi' was broken, we had to turn off to hear ourselves talk. Massages were lacklustre. The disaster continued when we were transported to the hotel for champagne and canapes. We were initially ignored at The Cliff restaurant, then told to sit down anywhere, when we attempted to sit down we were regarded as a huge inconvenience by a senior staff member who scolded us, instructing that we return to the entrance until we were asked to be seated. The restaurant appeared to be in utter chaos with staff moving tables and chairs in amongst diners. The 'canapes' were deep fried and very old calamari.. inedible. To say it was a shambolic experience would be an understatement. We left with a very poor impression of Sofitel: a completely unpleasant and costly experience. I would definitely look elsewhere to spend your time and money.
