Experience was very unprofessional. I was told the insurance approval request was sent to them the day following the xrays, and it would take approximately 4 weeks before they insurance would let them know if my child is approved or disapproved for braces. After not hearing from them after the 5th week I called, once again I was told the information was sent off on the day after my appointment. I finally called the insurance company to inquire, and was told they had received the approval request, however it was post marked 3 weeks after my appointment date. Basically I was lied to by smile crafters staff, not once, but twice but three times concerning getting braces for my child. So dam frustrating!

While my experience with smilekrafters itself has not always been the best, I am at peace with the service I currently receive. Kait is by far the best in the building! She s very professional and great at what she does. With her, I always comfortable and honestly never have any complaints. I highly recommend requesting her !!
I've been in 4 different dentists offices, and this place, it's been the best so far... I had an oral surgery and my recovery was fast! Yesterday Carrie, the Dental. Assistant took care of me, and I was treated very proffessionallly! And I'm not changing dentists anymore!
Terrible billing department. I had a crown work done with them last year, 4 month after it fell out. Had to go back to them for rework, was guaranteed it was for free, however got a bill from them later. Don't trust this awful place.
Dr. Shah did a tooth extraction for my 8 year old daughter both him and his assistant Tiana were both amazing. Dr. Shah song when numbing her mouth made me wish I had a dentist like him.
Jaime my hygienist was great. I really dislike that they have smilekrafters has no issue making you wait 30-45 minutes for your cleaning, but if you are 5 minutes late for your appointment you are turned away. This policy makes me feel that smilekrafters as a company is completely inconsiderate of their patients time.
Excellent service from the Hygienist S.S. And the Dr. D. They were very professional, super friendly and they took the time to make patients understand everything about their treatment and procedures.

SmileKrafters service was amazing. the hygienist Sally Ann was so sweet, and gentle. Every time she did something she stopped and explained what she was doing and why. She also repeatedly asked if I was okay. Dr. Durai was great and quick. She came checked my teeth told me what needed to be done. She was quick and clear on everything. I was in and out with no issues from the office. I was even able to schedule my follow up appointments for my issues within the following week !
I had oral surgery to remove 4 of my wisdom teeth. The doctors and dental hygienist are increasingly nice and knowledgeable. Dr Jackson Nguyen is a very talented and skillful physician. He removed all 4 and gave both me and my mom wonderful care.
The only compliments I hear from this practice is from bad experience from the front desk but you have to understand the type of people the front desk have to deal with. I wouldn t blame them for not being super friendly and happy all the time but a simple hello or good morning goes a long way to the patients. I was scared and terrified of my surgery. Doctors office are held to a higher standard of conduct because they are health professionals whose number one goal is the patient. Oral surgery is extremely painful and first time patients are nervous, scared, and apprehensive.
My experience with them I was treated as a number. I did not feel welcomed or comfortable in the office. The desk workers miss spelled my name several times after I showed them how to correctly spell it and then completely spelled the wrong name on important documents related to my insurance. If I didn t say something I was worried they could have wrote the prescription to the wrong person, my insurance company wouldn t have paid for the service, and all the important documents would have needed to be redone. The only reassurance was from the wonderful staff that work in the back. Every dental hygienist was nice and friendly to me. I was welcomed and felt like I could trust my dentist and his team for my surgery.
From my experience working in healthcare, I would recommend one on one discussion with the front desk employees. I do not believe they understand the importance of acknowledging the patients and the beginning process of building a relationship with them. People don t go to the doctors because it s fun. In my time in the pharmacy I have meet patients who are fighting a cold to those who are fighting for their lives. I know there is a family behind every patient suffering with them so I try my best to make their day slightly better. I hope to see the front desk improve themselves to the level of excellence I know they have the potential to be.
Simple evaluation, people will continue to come back because of the amazing dentist and staff but feel unsatisfied with the unprofessionalism by the front desk.
The worst service ever seen in orthodontist department.. I would never recommend any one for getting braces there as their after service is so horrible.. For then emergency appointment is after5 to 6 days of your emergency appointment call.. Orthodontist Doctor is nice but the front lady staff is so rude.. No one should go there for braces as I have experienced their worst and delayed service by 4-5 days for emergency appointments.. Not recommended....
Do not go here. I had consultation today with their oral surgeon, Dr. Anthony J. Panossian today. He gave me a very bad attitude the moment he saw my xray. Said I had an infection building in my mouth for about 10 years by the look of the xray. This dude was the same man who did my wisdom teeth back in 2011 and didn't properly stitch them. Cause of him I had to spend 2 and a half days with bleeding gums. He refused at first to even knowledge I was a returning smile krafters patient and he did my wisdom teeth. So after arguing with him for 5 mins about me being a returning patient, he went and grabbed my records. After returning with my records, he refused to do any work or talk about doing any work because I didn't fallow through with their treatment plan from 4 years ago. I didn't go through with their treatment plan because my insurance ran out. All this after getting out of the hospital after being in for 2.5 days cause of an infection. One I went to them about a week before. But they didn't do anything other then prescribe me antibiotics that failed.and sent me for a second consultation which I had today. Whatever you do, do not go here. They treat you like scum. mess up dental work and refuse to do additional work if you do not fallow through with their dental plan, even if you can no longer afford it. This place and especial "Dr." Anthony J. Panossian are rude and untrust worthy scum
EDIT: Oh look a complete lie for a reply to my review. Your "Doctor" was rude and a condensing brick. How dare you defend him and claim police were involved when they certainly were not. I was in the hospital for crying out loud because antibiotics your office prescribe failed. I was told by the hospital I could of ended up in a coma or worse. Yet your "doctor" refused to even talk about removing or treating the said tooth. All he wanted to do was be little me for not fallowing through with a treatment plan four years ago I couldn't afford. Your office back then didn't even try and offer some kind of payment plan. All they heard was no longer insuranced and said good bye. So yeah, your "doctors" shouldn't be aloud to be operate on people. I am seeking the lost of your oral surgeon's license. And now that your defending his and his fellow staffs behavior, the closer of your office. See you all in court!

Currently on hold for over 30 minutes. To reschedule an appt. That I called before for and never got a call back. As a new client I'm not impressed with the general dentistry at all. Oral surgery 100% happy with every bit of the experience. Perhaps I should go to another dentists office that respects and values my time. I've been nothing but patient with the few visits I've been in for but this is getting ridiculous. That your office does not do what you get scheduled for and then has the nerve to reschedule months out. Not acceptable at all.
My appointment got cancelled couple months ago. They rescheduled it. Waited patiently for two months even though I'm experiencing pain in my tooth daily. They called a day before my appointment only to tell me my appointment is cancelled....again AND now they don't take my insurance. Congratulations! SmileKrafters in Allentown is THE worst.

If they had a half or even less than that of a star they would get it, they shouldn't be in business if they can't even take a simple phone call for oral surgery appointment ,been playing phone tag with them for over 2-3months left several messages than was told my referral is old and need another consultation , and was also told I never showed up when I was there 30-45 mins early , won't ever come back and wont waste my time again, 100 percent unprofessional.

I just got my wisdom teeth pulled this morning and I was pretty nervous about going under since I have never been and everyone was so sweet, the girl with the dermal (I don t remember her name, I m sorry!) was amazing and made me feel more comfortable when I first got there. Desiree held my hand and also made me feel very comfortable. Dr Jackson was great as well! Thank you all for making me feel so comfortable doing something I was so scared of!
They are the best dentist in town. The staff is very nice , polite , very friendly. My daughter had an appointment today for a cleaning. Sally Ann is so kind and gentle and made my daughter very comfortable and safe. My daughter gets very nervous and she made her feel relax and assure her that everything is going to be fine. I went in for a consulation, and will never go back. I've worked with some amazing, caring dentists before, but this place is not even close. I found them to be condescending - I was visiting to get work done and get my teeth fixed. I'm aware I need work done, and I don't appreciate employees laughing - it's not at all amusing to me. They were pushy, and it felt like they were only trying to sell me what they wanted to. They were not at all willing to listen to me or talk to me. I will never go back to this place, and certainly would never recommend them.
I had to reschedule an appointment for a cleaning and a reschedule is 6 months out! I cant believe it takes that long for a reschedule and they NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES! Please don't go here your teeth will end up falling out before they actually want to do something about it. So disappointing.

I went in for a cleaning. Dani was very professional and explained the process of the cleaning very thoroughly. I also needed X-rays and Dani made me aware that once the sensor was available that I would get my X-rays done. Dani walked me through every step and what was gonna happen next.

I got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out and the staff did an awesome job at making me feel relaxed the entire time. The doctor was smooth with the surgery and I was out the door to a speedy recovery in no time. Very friendly staff full of smiles were there to take care of me. Chelsea was very polite and professional and was able to get me through the process of it all in superb fashion.
Horrible business! I can t even explain how inconsiderate this place is. I was in AGONY and needed a tooth pulled. They closest they can take it out was a month later! Then, they called and said my dr won t be in now that day and pushed me back 2 more months!! So they expected me to wait for 3 months with an infected mouth, in agony with no meds at all! And we can t do anything else for you is all I get! Are you kidding me!?! Nothing but a bunch of selfish jerks
After having my kid's braces on for 4 years, upon the last 4 visits they promised to have them finally - finally removed, and kept changing the date. Who has braces on for FOUR years? His teeth weren't too crooked, even. We couldn't get a return call back - for an appointment - to finally remove them, and they won't schedule the final appointment to do so. Frustrated is not the word
The best expierince i had. Desiree made me laugh and my appointment was so easy, With all this Covid stress going on the team there made me feel at ease and confident this is place I need to have my smile fixed. Hats off to Desiree and the staff......5 star treatment
Worsest place to go They will diagnose but they won t treat you and they never tell you what to do !! They just look in your mouth for 5 minutes than walk out and your sitting there like a fool not knowing what to do and how to fix the damage in your gums or teeth!! The doc recommended this med but he didn t give me a prescription nor when l left an after summery visit !! I don t recommend this place !!

I went to get the remainder of my teeth removed, I had only 6 teeth left, went through 5 previous treatments for removal by a completely different dentist with no problems, this time with smile krafters was horrible, I have had chunks left behind and are growing out of my gums, I have been in constant pain and the dentist I seen refused to do anything for 4 weeks, mind you with my previous dentist I had one spot that was painful and they took care of right after I complained, I wish that dentist wasn't almost 2 hours away and took the insurance I have now, I wish I had better options, I will never reccomend this place...I have been in pain since 12/31/19 and they don't care...they blame the patient, saying the pain is their fault...unfortunately I am stuck due to my limited options from my insurance

Very unprofessional. Would NEVER EVER recommend! I was stuck in traffic for over 20 minutes on Cedar Crest Blvd and call to say what was going on. They proceed to tell me they have no late policy but will check with the hygienist. When I got there nothing was even done, never checked and then I had to wait till they checked, mind you I was only 6 minutes late. The receptionist then came out and said she couldn't talk to anyone at the moment they we're busy but I could fill out the 6 month paperwork and wait to see if the next appointment showed if they didn't I could take that appointment otherwise would have to reschedule for another 6 months! Definitely find another denist if you are even considering this place. Will also be filing with Better business bureau .

Finding the right orthodontist is a very important decision for your dental health and overall well-being. Like all patients, I wanted the peace of mind knowing that I ve selected an orthodontist that offers top-notch care. I got just that with Dr. Dhyllon. I had severe crowding of my lower teeth and an awful overbite not knowing what to expect and anxiety levels high, Dr. Dhyllon and his assistant Tina did an outstanding job explaining current progress, the treatment protocols and what to expect all while setting my mind at ease. Tina always set up appointments that fit my schedule. I cannot thank these two enough for all that they have done for me over the last couple years. I highly recommend Dr. Dhyllon to anyone who is looking for Orthodontic treatment.
I take my son the the pediatrics side of Smile Krafters. Sheri has been one of my sons hygienists for the last few years and she is awesome. She is patient and kind. I always hope to have her when I bring my son. If we are delayed she knows how to put a smile on our faces.

This place is absolutely ridiculous. 2:15 appointment and wasn't even seen at 4:00 they suggested that I reschedule because they "were 2 hours behind". If you cancel on them they charge $150. So where's my $150 for them not doing their part? They need to get rid of someone over there. I've seen nothing but negative reviews and that has to be someone's fault.
My experience was very good, jaime was my hygienist and she was super helpful when i told her i was feeling sensitivity in my lower teeth, she talked and make me feel very comfortably. Overall i was very comfortable and didn t feel scared at all like i usually am.
Went there in July 2016 to have a crown glued back in and my teeth cleaned. Was new to the area, and had Medicaid, the only reason I went here. Dentist who examined me told me you have a cavity and we would fill it in a perfect world. Then she glued the crown back in that I brought with me and told me bite down on a piece a gauge. This crown was from my dentist in Georgia. She never came back, or explained what she meant about the cavity, since she had her fingers in my mouth, I could not ask her. I went out and ask someone if I was finished and they me to set up appointment for six months. Crown was not seated properly and my bite was off. Consequently crown came back out. Went to another dentist to get it fixed and will never go back there. Today, I received a bill from them for three crowns, that I never got, for $3,600. Unbelievable.

I noticed on Yelp, others had rated them poorly...the only thought I have on those ratings were that the other patients were treated based upon how the they acted and treated others...sure they were cocky and completely incompetent upon dentistry skills...DO NOT USE THEIR RATINGS TO AFFECT YOUR JUDGMENT UPON USING THIS PLACE FOR DENTISTS!!! The scheduling staff is going to ruin this place for the caring nurses and doctors. They are impossible to deal with. They are rude, unhelpful, and annoying. I almost always make my appointments 6 months out so that I don't have a scheduling conflict with our busy schedules. They recently cancelled and appointment and then threatened to charge us for that appointment if we don't reschedule. Meanwhile the office is CLOSED that day! Why I was able to make an appointmemt for a day they were closed to begin with is beyond me! Not to mention... I called the day before that ridiculous threat to try to schedule something. And the lady (whose accent was so difficult for me to ubderstand) was so frustrating I hung up. I specifically told her what days I could do and she insisted on offering me random days. THEN I told her I work until 4 on a day that I told her to begin with that wouldn't work and she was indignant that I couldn't get there for 415. Um, first of all... I understand that they may be dealing with a whole lot of people who don't work but I can't leave work at 4 go all the way home to get my kids and come all the way back to Allentown in 15 minutes.
I had an absolutely GREAT experience at Smiles Crafters . The entire team from the front desk receptionist to all of the staff that supported me in oral surgery were EXCELLENT!!! I would never go anywhere else for dental work! Thank you Smiles Crafters! FIVE STARS FOR SURE!!!
Sallyann is a wonderful hygienist. She explained every process and procedure. She answered all my questions and was very professional. She was concerned with my comfort during the exam. She recommended things I could do to care for my teeth and gums. A great experience as usual at this office. I would highly recommend this dental office and have been going here for years now.
Please save yourself all kinds of trouble and stay away! . am a very calm person, I don't ever recall having been rude to anyone in any way, it just isn't me. I'd rather excuse their rudeness in my mind and keep going as friendly as can be...until today.
I'm going to review this place based on 3 visits, using bullet points to make sure I get it all and it's easy to read and understand. The end is way worse than the beginning.
* First visit: I took my 23 year old daughter to their oral surgery department for a consultation. We stood at the counter for several minutes while the woman behind the counter performed her paperwork related duties without acknowledging us. When she finally did so, she handed us paperwork to fill out. I was irritated, but polite. My daughter's appointment was with a knowledgeable young doctor we quite liked. We left happy.
* Second visit: The surgery appeared to go well. It was not the same doctor who'd given her the consult, it was a much older doctor. That's okay, older means experienced.
* Weeks later: My daughter's lower jaw was still completely numb. Our dentist said the doctor probably nicked a nerve and it may stay completely numb for life. Fortunately, weeks later most of the numbness has faded, but some still remains and will probably always be numb.
* The tooth that was exposed by the surgery to remove a sideways placed tooth was cracked in half and another surgery was needed. My daughter is of the belief that this tooth was cracked by the surgeon, but we don't know for sure because it did have a cavity in it.
*Third visit: Another consultation. She had a 3:30 appointment. On the day of the appointment they called to say that she needed to be there by 3:15. I said that was fine, and figured it was a paperwork thing and hoped her previous paperwork would suffice, but we planned to be there by 3:15.
.....*Construction, a missed exit, and more conspired against us and we arrived 2-3 MINUTES late. I sent my daughter in while I parked. When I got to the third floor she told me the receptionist had seen her arrive but had left the counter and walked off. A few minutes later the receptionist returned. My daughter gave her her name and the woman said that we were late. That the cutoff was 3:15 and because we were late we'd have to reschedule. It cost us (according to Mapquest) $10.30 in gas plus $6.70 in tolls and two hours round trip driving for this appointment and we were 12-13 minutes early for the appointment we'd made, and 2-3 minutes late for their new appointment time and THEY WOULD NOT SEE HER! They wanted us to reschedule.
.....*I'm sorry, I was rude. I exclaimed (not loudly) that we'd driven an hour to get there, had gotten lost, were a few minutes late and they refused to see us! I turned my daughter around and we walked out, never, EVER, to return. 3 minutes late at the latest for their revised appointment time and they sent us packing. Read other reviews for this place and you'll see what I mean. These people behind that desk behave as if they are entitled and privileged and their station in life is well above everyone else's.
I drove home in so angry, apologizing to my daughter the whole time, promising to find her another surgeon quickly. I stopped at my other daughter's home on the way. I'd vented to her on the phone as we were driving and she had dinner waiting, which went well with the grandchildren hugs.
After a nice evening and long walk with the family, I was able to calm down enough to write this review without screaming it. The appointment was 3.5 hours ago, it took me that long to calm down.
If you are looking at this office for service, I truly suggest you look elsewhere, or maybe take some Valium before dealing with them. And don't be 3 minutes late!
The call center can generally only schedule appointments. Other matters are referred to the office, but they sometimes fail to return a call in a timely manner. Sometimes the call center forgets to open the phone lines and the IVR won't accept any input whatsoever. Every selection is met with "You have made in invalid choice. Please listen to the entire menu before making your selection." This goes on endlessly.
On the plus side, The dentists seem to be caring and professional, they accept almost any kind of insurance, and have state of the art technologies right on site. Some of the specialists have wonderful schedulers who do return calls and give you their email addresses in case you need to contact them directly.
