Generally the hotel was nice, the problem is only 2 of the three elevators were in working order and the escalator that takes you to the main floor where the check in desk is located was out of service as well. This made for long waits at the elevators. Additionally, the water pressure in the bathroom was quite low which made taking a shower unusually lengthy. The rooms were decent and clean, and the banquet facilities were nice. The food was sub par.

Downtown experience. We had a relatively quite evening as soon as the late hours hit. The room, itself was very clean also.

Bathrooms had very little counter space. Bathroom door very difficult to close. Made two calls about a terrible smell in hallway that lingered for at least 3 hours. TV was only 32" and old. Room generally felt a little dirty with several stains on carpet. One small dead bug on comforter. Elevators dirty and in need of repair. NO POOL, closed in 2018. Light bulb out in one of two lamps in all of main room. A/C could barely keep room cool enough...in January with outside temp at 55. If thermostat set above 67, room was very humid. Wi-Fi weak. This place needs help.

The room is good, we had really fast service when we asked for extra pillows. But they were working on the door when we came in, which made it difficult to get in. Then one of the elevators was down when we first got here. And then the third elevator went down so we only had one elevator on opening day of Supercon. There were a ton of people it took us about 3 hours just to get our stuff to our room. The staff helped as much as they could. So far besides using the stairs, since we are on level 5, it's been perfect. The cafe on 2 has great coffee and the restaurant has really good food.

Love the rooms very clean. My review comes from two things. First alot of the elavators and escalatores were broken. When i asked Corinne the check in hostess about it she rudely responded about how they would not be fixed. She made the check in terrible and im really questioning using the sheraton again.

I have to say that this is the worst hotel that I have stayed at, not for the construction or aesthetic, but the navigation of it. I stayed here recently for Raleigh Supercon. I was excited to stay at this hotel. Sadly, I will not be staying at it again unless I have to. I arrived around 11am and the driver told us that we needed to park across the street in the parking deck. Driving up was easy but the problem we ran into is that it was severely full and people were having to come back down. It took about ten minutes for them to clear out the excess cars that couldn't find a spot and we had to find our own parking because they didn't have a backup.
We came back to check in that evening and couldn't figure out how to get to the main area of the hotel. I entered through what I thought was the main entrance to see no signs or navigation. I rode the escalator up and saw no receptionist. I tried the elevators which are meant for upscale guests, I am guessing, and then found another set of elevators which led us to the ballrooms. I continued to walk around aimlessly with no signs as to where the lobby was. I found a walkway which led me to the main hotel. I waited for the elevator for at least fifteen minutes because only one of three was working consistently. I tried to find a staircase because I was tired of waiting and just wanted to get to my room. I was willing to walk 7 flights of stairs, the elevator was so slow. I finally got to my room and I was supposed to get a double bed room, I traveled with my brother and sister, and was greeted with a king bed.
The pros are the bed, super comfy, and the overall aesthetic of the room. Everything else about the hotel has a lot left to be desired.

This is coming from someone who has spent many years on the road.
First, the comforter on the bed had a blood stain - enough said. When I requested they change all of the linens, they sent someone up to do so. Upon coming back to the room, I found the beds made and thought "great, this is taken care of". When I went to check out the sheets I noticed that while they changed the blood stained comforter, they just kept the rest of the linens on the bed. How do I know this? Well there was a spot on the sheet before they "changed" it and then there was magically the same spot after they changed it. Clearly, it was the same sheet.
Beyond disgusted by this experience and will certainly not be staying here again. Even though I did get the "we're so sorry, here's 7,000 points" - thanks, but no thanks. I would rather just have had an experience you would expect from a nice hotel.

While in Raleigh for work, it started to snow bad, so bad that we decided to return to the hotel so we didn't have to drive in the evening when the snow becomes ice. We came back around lunch time, but we forgot to get food. It was a team of 8 of us that needed food and the manager, Christine, was very kind and accommodating by giving us food as we are weekly travelers and stay at the Sheraton. It was very compassionate and generous for her to help my team with food as it would be very hard to get to other restaurants and get food fast due to the weather. All of the staff is very nice at the hotel.

We stayed at the Raleigh Sheraton for two nights. Everything was nice, except that our room did not get cleaned. I am not sure how this happened, since we were gone the whole day, but the front desk quickly got clean towels sent up when I asked about it. The staff was very friendly and polite.

Arrived on Thursday March 22nd. I had originally placed a reservation months ago and asked for an early check in. They told me it was fine, no problem. Got there, and they informed my husband we couldn't check in till 4pm. I was very upset and tired from a long trip. We decided to wait at the hotel, lucky they found us a room.
Overall, it was a bad experience. Not worth the money.

This old Sheraton is really worn out. Everywhere you look something is stained or peeling. Mattress should have been replaced years ago. We made two calls to the front desk: 1 for a slow bath drain and the other for a loud neighbor. Neither was addressed. Arrived 10/25/15. Checked out 10/27/15.

Nice, older hotel, right in the middle of downtown. Easy walking distance to all the major attractions in Raleigh. TV in room did not work, reported to the front desk but never fixed nor did I hear anything from them. Nice people and I would stay here again. A little pricey but comfortable.

Recently i stayed at this establishment for a work symposium. The hotel, associated amenities, food and staff were all amazing! Over the course of my 4 day and 4 night stay, I have not one complaint including their suggestions for local places to checkout. I would definitely stay at the Sheraton Raleigh again!

The hotel is lovely, but when we first checked in and went to our room, we opened the correct room with our key and there was a woman in bed reading a book. When we returned to the desk they had no idea who was in the room and gave us a new room and key and a voucher for a drink at the bar, which was quite nice. When we went to our new room, there was the distinct odor of cigarettes, which was quite off-putting, so we told them and they made note of it so as not to charge us an extra fee. For a beautiful hotel, we were disappointed about what seemed like some confusion and disorganization.

So many issues. Way over priced. Images provided were very misleading. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because the pictures of the pool looked so nice but there was NO pool. Not all elevators were functional and the were very slow to arrive to our floor. A lamp and an outlet were not working. The window filled with condensation and left pools of water on the floor. The shower walls were not very clean. There was no refrigerator. All in all this room was not worth what we paid for it !!

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. The WiFi here is hardly usable though. Don't bother paying the crazy prices they try to charge for faster data speeds. Bring your own bottled water cause the cost $2.50 each around the hotel (although they do give you one for free).

No need to hit the gym at this hotel. The broken elevators and escalators will ensure you take the stairs up to your room at this 17-level hotel - once you find them (they are hidden in the "employees only" area - fire hazard?)
In their parking lot across the street, make sure you are not in it if a fire starts, since the emergency stairwells are out-of-commission as well.
After climbing all those stairs to your room, your muscles will likely be craving some relaxing in a nice heated pool like the one showcased on the Starwood Hotel website. Don't get your hopes up - that pool doesn't actually exist anymore. It hasn't for about a month. That hasn't stopped this hotel from advertising amenities it doesn't actually offer, however. After all, false advertising isn't illegal, is it?
The broken closet doors will challenge your ingenuity as you try and get your stuff in and out of the closet. As you pick up the phone handset to complain to the front desk, you will quickly realize that it does not work either. Not to worry - just use the speakerphone for all your calls (especially those saucy private ones with your spouse). Complaining is a waste of time anyway - they are so used to complaints that they have mastered the art of indifference when receiving calls from their customers.
For a real challenge, try calling Corporate to complain. Doing so will test your patience while waiting on hold for over an hour before being disconnected.
All this and a room unlike any you probably actually reserved - it is enough to make you say "I'll never stay at Sheraton ever again!"

The experience wasn t as it was cracked up to be. From the get go i knew it wasn t gonna be that good. The lady at the front desk double charged my friend then denied it saying she would have to call her credit card company if she thought there was a problem when her account clearly said it was charged twice.
Then, we re all asleep at MIDNIGHT when the phone rings. Some lady was on the other line asking if we had a pet, I groggily said we do in fact have a dog and she said that their hotel wasn t pet friendly. So not knowing what to say I handed the phone to my dad which he explain in full detail that we checked in with her and that she had her service vest on. She had explained that there were people complaining about her occasional bark. She was only barking because there were people walking by not caring about the time and being super loud. She was barking as a warning.
The service was meh at best. I just don t think i ll be coming back and time soon.

Nice room, okay service. Service is a little below par and the greeters could be more helping upon arriving. When having our room cleaned we weren't brought fresh towels for the next morning. We were charged an unaccountable $146 dollars. I'm unsure if we would choose to stay here again but the location is the best you can get if you're wanting to be as close to downtown as possible and near the best restaurants in town. Buku, Trophy tap and table, chicken and honey, and so much more are a 3-5 minute walk.

Very nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable, firm but not too firm. The pillows were down type, a little too thin unless you like thin pillows. Very clean rooms, the hallways smell absolutely wonderful. Very pretty hotel, stylish and upscale. Price was very reasonable, service was outstanding. Paid the extra price for the club level upgrade ($35), the lounge and upgraded internet are well worth it. They have dinner and breakfast in the lounge if you upgrade. The food was very good, much better than what would be expected. They keep the lounge stocked with sodas, milk, juices, bottled water, coffee, tea and some light snacks, this alone is more than worth the upgrade price, especially if your stomach is sensitive to local water (and Raleigh water is... yuck). Had an interesting experience as the floor I was staying on was apparently having a party, and my wife, 3yr old and I were not officially invited, but we had to hear it anyways. They have highly visibly posted quiet hours, which the front desk and security did their best to respond to, when the people partying on the floor and in the hallways did not agree with the concept of highly visibly posted quiet hours. In the end, the loud people just went back about their business of being loud(they were essentially, professionally loud), but security responded each time in a very timely manner. As I was checking out, the manager addressed my concerns very well and compensated us for the loss of a little sleep, that was out of their control. The way they responded to my concerns was amazing, I felt valued and respected, and made me feel like I wasn't complaining, which was great. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location right next to my office for work in the heart of downtown, also barely a 10 minute walk from the train station. The room was clean and fresh, the staff were extremely helpful, and I don't have any complaints from my stay.

Have stayed twice this year for work trips. Corrine, Alton (hope I got his name right!) and Christine at the front desk were fantastic. Especially Corrine - our team had a complicated check in and she was so patient, even while we had to call our travel arranger to verify some info. Corrine was so sweet and accommodating while I peppered her with requests: how do I print, do you have a conference room where we can practice our presentation, can you help me arrange a client dinner - she's a total pro and makes doing business in Raleigh easy. Thank you!
Note on the rooms: clean and comfortable. I loved the side couch and table. Made it comfy to decompress after a long day of meetings.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. I loved my suite and the staff was super nice. I want to give a special shout out to Chirstine Elchuck, Rooms Manager--she was amazing! Oh yeah, and their gym is great too. Lastly, I really liked the location of the hotel. It's close to so many awesome things. Staying at this Sheraton made me appreciate Raleigh more.

Average higher standard hotel with nice and helpful staff. I appreciate that you can get 5$ back to spend on food if you do green choice. On the other hand room was really wet with a lot of condensated water on the window and there was big hole under the door so room was noisy. I was in raleigh for a conference this week and had to book a last minute room. Preston, one of the front desk attendants was extremely accomodating. He made my last minute booking stressless and went above and beyond to make sure that my colleagues and I had an impeccable stay. Kudos to the Sheraton and their team for amazing customer service. Thanks again Preston!
