It's location is perfect for events. We did not spend the night, we attended a social event that was planned well. The staff was nice and kept the event going with refreshments and food.

We attended the Forever Bridal Vendor Blender, and the hotel provided a banquet room and dinner for the evening. Staff was very friendly!
Hotwire convinced me that this was going to be a 4 star hotel experience. Definitely not the case. The size of the rooms are small, so, instead of getting 2 queen beds (necessary when traveling with children who will be sharing a bed with each adult), you have 2 full beds and not much space. I realize the hotel is right near the convention center and the majority of their guests are probably there on business and thus their business accounts will gladly pay money for wifi - but I don't. When this room is valued at $195 a night, I expect free wifi. Period. I was hoping when I read other reviews that it was a single case of the rooms being not up to par. But sadly, our room, too, had cracked leather headboards, cracked lampshades, and mildew between the shower tiles. When using the elevators, there is a security feature (which I like) where you have to use your room key in order to make the elevator work above a certain floor. However, my key did not work. Additionally, one of the bed comforters had a stain on them. Finally, they failed to mention you needed to keep your room key in order to make the parking garage gate work at checkout. So, when trying to leave the garage, we had to convince the parking attendant that we were indeed hotel guests who were not informed to keep the hotel key when we checked out by the hotel staff. The location is nice and we enjoyed our walk to a great local Italian restaurant to eat. The staff seemed friendly enough. But, clearly the Raleigh Sheraton owners do not care enough to read these reviews and fix these complaints that other people have also testified to. Don't waste your money here.
We had a great experience with every employee we interacted with at the hotel. The room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance from shops, restaurants, and the Red Hat Amphitheatre. The bar downstairs was nice and had quite a selection of beverages. I'd stay at this hotel again!
Great location, within walking distance of everything downtown. Clean rooms and helpful staff.
We chose the Sheraton over other local hotels as we expected a little more. It was not terrible but not what we paid for. The building is clean, but there is room for improvements. Our bedding was old and lumpy and needed updating. The AC unit was not reliable. Overall, it was an ok hotel, but for what I paid I expected excellence.
Pretty run down and dirty. The rooms are not the cleanest. Prices are pretty great but you get what you pay for.
If I could rate negative I would. The gym equipment barely works and is in serious need of replacement. The TV does not work on treadmills or elipticles. It is very hard to select a workout, increase time or resistance on either machine. For this level of a hotel the gym equipment should be in decent shape
I will not comeback
Stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was an absolute treat. The staff was so kind to us, the room was excellent, and overall it contributed to one of our favorite trips. The hotel itself has a great theme and location. The recent renovations have made the hotel really nice, but we were sad that they got rid of the indoor pool.
Perfectly located hotel with good rooms and very helpful staff. Made me feel right at home.
I ve been to four events here and all of them have been great
Convenient downtown location, Jimmy John's across the street and Jimmy V's fine Italian dining experience is in the lobby. Great for business connections and is very close to the Raleigh Convention Center.
Great hotel on the party street of Raleigh! Clean sheets, everything you need.
The employees were kind and attentive and the location was in good shape
Rooms look nice, great location. Downsides are slow elevators, no ice machine at least on several floors we tried to acquire some at, pool is off limits during Animazement due to the actions of only a couple of guest.
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I made a reservation for two nights as this hotel is walking distance to the office I would be working in for two days. I drove into downtown Raleigh and walked into the lobby to check in and they told me something had caused several of the rooms to be unusable and they had a driver waiting to take me to another hotel in Durham. Durham is 30 miles away. The entire purpose of staying in downtown Raleigh was so I could walk and not have to deal with a commute into work thru traffic. I understand things like this can happen that are out of anyone's control but what was in their control was that they could have called me and explained the situation and given me the choice of how I wanted to proceed. They choose to do nothing and let me drive into a congested urban area and park and walk in and find this out. Whomever was in charge and made that decision is a horrible person and a terrible hotel manager. Unless I have no other choice I will never stay at this hotel again.
Amazing staff made me feel at home..This is the place to stay in Raleigh. The food and services was great!
Quiet, comfortable, classy, lounge food was awesome!
Room was fine, if a little small. Worse was the elevator situation where multiple guest elevators were broken causing large lines of guests and relegating others to use service elevators in the back of hotel that were just as slow to use because the staff were, of course, using them a lot already.
Friendly and clean. I love the rooms here. Hard wood floors with a small carpet by the bed
Excellent service by hotel staff, and a very nice, and clean room. Hotel was within walking distance of lots of great food and drink spots. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will likely be coming back!
Parking is terrible, it's a headache to get in and out, they do NOT offer ammonites that they advertise, very small tv, very small room, looks great on the outside, but the carpet in the hallway is nauseating. They have no refrigerator in the room. The bathrooms are outdated at best. I don't even want to stay here for the rest of my time in Raleigh.
10 years after our wedding reception (in the Sheraton) we went back for a night. The room was lovely, the continental breakfast was good. The only thing unfortunate was the "happy hour" drinks were very pricey IMHO. Otherwise, we had a great time and Jimmy V's restaurant in the lobby was delicious.
Nice property. Organized, efficient staff. Quiet and restful. Love the Sheraton product. It is consistently well done!
Went for New Year's, got an excellent room with a bit of assistance from the front desk. Excellent view of the Acorn drop, the stage and Fayetteville Street. Will be back next year!
I have never stayed here, but I do deliver for Domino's and the staff are very friendly. I haven't seen any part of the hotel that is dirty either.
Friendly staff. Old hotel that is well kept, clean and appears to have been remodeled fairly recently.
Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have had in the last decade. Tiny, antiquated rooms, with none of the conveniences I have come to expect from chain hotels. A tiny, cramped bath with poor lighting and insufficient space for one person, much less two. Rust on the sliding glass doors/windows that do not slide and longer. Internet not provided unless you are willing to cough up the $10 per night fee. This is the 21st century, right? The price (over $200 for a king for one night once parking was added) was outrageous given the quality of the product. Shop around
Nice clean room, very friendly and helpful staff and a very nice comfortable lobby.
Don't stay here for a convention if you are a light sleeper. The noice is really bad especially if you have a six year old with you who goes to bed before the event ends for the night ><
Clean and well equipped room. Plenty of great nearby bars and restaurants. Room service was prompt in the morning.
Nice hotel for sure. Single king room was smaller than expected. Three stars because it took the front desk three times to get us the correct room. The first one included them giving us the keys to a room that was already occupied. Second time was the incorrect size bed. Third time worked. Customer service was low and no apologies. Unfortunate experience when you re ready to relax.
Hotel is nice, the artwork stands out and the staff is helpful.
Down in the heart of things. Nice bar with great drinks.
I did not care for the room and the bathroom was most disappointing. The room uses some kind of cheap floor material that makes noise as you step on it. I would have preferred carpet. The bathroom is small and old feeling. Worst off, the toilet frequently continues to run, sometimes even after carefully jiggling the handle. This apparently happens in more than just my room.
Older hotel that's been remodled. It's ok. Roght across the street from convention center so it's very convenient. Walking distance to most of downtown Raleigh.
Customer service is key. Simple things. Name usage. Elite recognition. Etc. It does and will make the difference.
Great hotel that's very close to the Raleigh Convention Center, practically right across the street. Rooms can hold up to 4 people. There's an in hotel restaurant too.
Hotels in the process of being renovatjng and there were many features that did not come with the room there was a broken toilet in the bathroom and the bathrooms are extremely small also there were problems with the staff and they seemed unprepared for the number of guests they have.
Nice place to stay, enjoy. We held or Family Reunion there, everything good, let me be honest dinner buffet can have a little work. The food was late, 15 mins, a little cold replenish a little slow but serve, overall good.
Paid for early check in. Room wasn't ready til after 4pm. Tried to downgrade my room to suite the times. Room was dirty. Bed was dirty. Paint is flaking. Headboard flaking. Staff very unprepared. Reserved elevators for Clemson but they didn't arrive til hours later. Will never stay at again. Waste of time and money. Horrible.
Realized after booking that they charged $70 more than the Sheraton app indicated just before walking in, despite the fact that I'm an SPG member. Also didn't indicate that the pool and fitness center were closed for renovation. Ice machine on my floor was broken. Steam cleaning hall carpet early in the morning, very noisy.
wonderful.. clean. friendly staff. close to great places.. I'll return
Very conveniently located near the convention center. Easy walk to a variety of restaurants shops.
Not fridge or microwave. Weird lobby/floor layout. But is close to all the cool stuff
Still a very nice and prompt service from staff. Also has a car rental counter which is nice.
I was using the guest wifi to handle some business related affairs. I was told to leave the hotel because I did not have a room and because I was sitting on the couch minding my own business. I felt disrespected and offended and will not be returning to this location for anything. I didn't have a room, but now that I know how unfriendly they are to a tourist, I will not be giving any business to this hotel. That action was completely unacceptable and uncalled for.
Went to New year's event at the hotel. Drinks were over priced, but had a good time
The hotel was nice, he option to opt out of room service was also very nice because I never use it at other hotels any way. The hot tub was luke warm the first time I went to it but when I went later that day it was at a good temperature. The elevator broke because it was a busy weekend but it became active again shortly, the staff was also friendly when I had concerns about parking.
The hotel staff here is what makes the difference. Great hospitality!!
Great hotel with a really nice downtown location, close to everything. Pretty standard rooms, super comfy beds, and super friendly & helpful staff.
The soap selections are bad, everything else is good. Jimmy V's is great.
The staff is professional, the management is effective, and the service and food was amazing at the restaurant.
The staff was very nice and helpful during my stay and the room was updated and comfortable. The hotel seemed to be under construction, however, and the amenities were definitely lacking because of that ("gym" was in a conference room...). Overall I'd stay again.
A little confusing entrance and parking nice hotel over all.
Our room had a great view over Fayetteville st. Loved the area and the hotel staff was amazing.
