This hotel is in walking distance to the different restaurants and cultural center of Raleigh. There was an art fair going on right in the neighborhood and we both walked and Bird scootered to brunch/club/dinner. Parking is right across the street and the staff was polite and unobtrusive.

Absolutely wonderful stay for a Platinum Premier member. The hotel staff went above and beyond to arrange connecting rooms and make our party feel like VIP's. I was particularly impressed with the management. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped- just as you'd expect from a Sheraton. The lounge has two Starbucks machines. One for regular coffee and one for latte's, cappuccino's, etc. The evening lounge food selection was enough to fill up on. We had full pieces of chicken, nice salads, and more. The cold drinks consist of Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Fanta, several fruit juices, chocolate milk, and more. The lounge breakfast had the standards like omelettes and oatmeal...as well as a generous selection of berries. I will definitely be back.

I'm staying here now through Saturday. The pool is being closed and that wasn't disclosed when I made my reservations. Little things are bothersome, like there being no ice on the floor I'm on with no advance warning or instructions about that. Definitely not worth the price. I will book elsewhere in the future.

Was checked in by Tyler..and it was the most unprofessional check in I ever experienced. No welcome, no thank you, no please, no smile whatsoever... a real disappointment. I expected something like this at a Motel... not in a Sheraton. Due to covid no one was able to help with luggage, they give you a bell cart and you can do it yourself.

This was my second stay at this location. The staff was once again friendly and very helpful and readily moved us to a different room when an event external to the hotel became obnoxiously noisy. Overall the room met my expectations for cleanliness and was in good repair. Vending and ice are only available on the odd numbered floors but the vending nooks on the even floors are still there despite having been abandoned, which is somewhat confusing. I can't speak to the quality of the bar or restaurant since we did not use them.

Extremely inconsiderate staff. You pay for your stay and can t even get a room until their employees are done cleaning. And you pay so much per night for expensive breast-fast, parking, and no pool. Worst hotel I ve ever been to.

Spent October 8th 2014 here---Upon entering room, both beds looked like someone had been laying on them previously; bathroom floor was not clean; carpet dirty; bed was ok; Could hear TV and conversation in room next door; Walls very thin; elevators require you to slip room card in then push button, even if you are going down (so keep key card out at all times).

We were given a king bed instead of two queens as requested. We had four people. It took a long time to get extra towels and a rollaway bed. The room was clean but small. Elevators were a hassle. Parking situation isn't great. But reasonable price to stay right downtown.

I'd give it a half star or none if I could. So many issues here. #1 The pool was not available to use. Who does pool maintenance in the summer on one of the busiest weekends in Raleigh?! #2 The elevator were messing up! They had 3 elevators for public use. One didn't work at all. The other 2 took for ever! They were so slow. Took 30 mins for one to get to the lobby. #3 Because of the elevator issues, we had to take the stairs often. With that being said, the stairwell was filthy! They actually stored silverware & plated for the restaurant in boxes on the stairs. #4 Some of the staff were extremely rude & very inconsiderate. If you don't like your job, quit. There is no reason to be hateful to the guest. I most definitely will never stay there again, even if it is the last hotel available. I'll also never stay at another Sheraton nation wide.

Great hotel! The staff is super friendly. First night 1 out of 3 elevators was out of service, so the wait to go to the room a back to the lobby was long. I could take the stairs, but kind of hard if you're on the 11th floor. Gym isn't big, but with enough equipment for a travel workout. Location is very central in downtown. Walking distance to Conversation Center and restaurants.

My gf and I were going up to Raleigh for a concert Friday night and took advantage of grandparents wanting to watch the kids for the weekend, decided to make it a weekend getaway. Instead of staying at a hotel near the concert venue or a nearby town, I figured why not stay in the heart of the city.

The hotel configuration itself is a little confusing. The valet/parking entrance is on the 1st floor while the main desk is on the 2nd floor. This isn't clearly posted. The escalator to the 2nd floor was out so you had to take the elevator. Out of the 3 elevators available to the public, only one worked. (This would be an issue later on).

After finding the front desk, check-in was smooth, parking was simple as the garage is right across from the hotel ($15 per day). As we were getting ready for the concert, we decided to get some room service. Process was easy, food was hot and fast. After getting ready, we had some time to kill so we went down to the Jimmy-V bar and had some drinks. The bartender was great, very informative about the area. Drinks are a little pricey but to be expected considering location and the fact the restaurant was available to the public as well.

Returning from the concert, all the elevators were down. This would be a theme for the rest of the weekend. There are NO public stairs. None. Like? What?! We had to find someone to escort us to the service elevators to get up to our room.

They have a program where you can deny room service one day and get $ towards food/beverage. Since we didn't need room service Sat morning, I received the credit and thought I would just apply it to my bill, as we had charged drinks and room service to the room. You can't. It must be presented at time or purchase. So... yeah.

We went out during the day on Saturday to experience Raleigh. Upon return, there was a festival on Fayetteville St and the hotel parking structure was blocked off in the main entrance. Driving around to Gale St and it was full. Full? $15 a day and I couldn't park?! The attendant was attempting to remove 'non hotel guests' as we waited and the exit line out the parking garage was blocking any passage up the garage.

The hotel now had posted signs and directions to the service elevators, however only one was working. At this point, NONE of the guest elevators were working. Wait times for elevators on Saturday were upwards of 20 mins. This wouldn't have been an issue if there were public stairs you could access to use to get to your room. The emergency exit stairs were just that, the 2nd-4th floors didn't have access to those stairs and at the door at the 1st floor was wired for emergency alarms. (We found this out by walking down 13 floors trying to leave Saturday morning)

We got some room service upon getting back to the room and that included a bottle of wine. Once again, service was fast and the wine was cold. However, I was charged $17 more than the bottle was listed for on the room service menu.

Going out to dinner and coming back from dinner, the environment was still the same. Only one service elevator work and wait times still pretty long considering the little traffic at that time. This is when we noticed - room had no fridge. What? Like?! No fridge?! How?!? I go back home to small town Oklahoma and the local 'town inn' that brags about "HBO included" in their $39.99 rates... has a fridge in the rooms. So much for keep the leftovers from that amazing meal.

With all the aggravation of the elevators, parking, no fridge and just the overall experiencing not matching what you would expect for the location/price, this was going to be a one star review. I changed it to a two star review based on the customer service I received when I was checking out and informed the desk of the wine over charge. I can't specifically call out names, as the staff doesn't wear name tags (What?.. smh) but I was assisted by a gentleman who wasn't able to correct the over change but was able to find out how. He was very helpful and polite. That small touch was enough to give me hope for this place in the future

Meh

Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,
I have not stayed here and I wouldn't stay here. I was suppose to stay here for a wedding in June and I paid a deposit for two rooms. Due to Covid 19 the wedding was cancelled and I called on March 28th 2020 to cancel my reservation. To this day I have no refund.... I call and call and I keep getting told the same thing over and over.... still no refund. What kind of corporation is this that holds on to a customers money for this long (probably still going to have to wait) 19 DAYS and still counting. Customer service for this company is not answering my question on when this will be resolved they are just using their I understand and not providing anything. The last person I spoke with said it could take up to 90 DAYS. My money was taken out as soon as I made the reservation it should be back the same way... there was no 90 day wait for them to receive their money.

This is unacceptable... and no one wants to help they keep passing the buck while 22 million people are unemployed.

Ok

The customer service here is out of this world. Yes, you occasionally have a problem with a room, but for me, how the hotel responds is the only important thing. This hotel and it's staff will always resolve issues and take even the most minor inconvenience seriously. And that's why this is the only place we stay when we visit Raleigh.

The facility is old and rooms need refurbished. Examples include worn headboard and walls, light water pressure, and poor soundproofing. The staff of welcoming, lobby is large, and a good onsite restaurant.

Great place to bring your family! This hotel is right in the middle of downtown Raleigh. It is surrounded by a lot of places to eat and see that are in walking distance. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Highly recommend

Went for a Semi-formal, facilities were appropriate. Accommodated us quite well, staff was professional and courteous. Ballroom was large enough for about 120 people, overall no complaints for what we needed.
