Good stay. Wished the hotel provided a mini fridge.
The hotel was nice. Room was clean and up to date but there was a fairly bad smell that persisted through my stay. I think it only affected my room. I would stay at the hotel again.
Great Location, great rooms. Escalators and elevators not working but apart from that I loved it
Beautiful Hotel Downtown Raleigh!!! My daughter had her prom there and I was impressed. I live in Raleigh, but I may make a date night there... Fine dining, shopping, and other attractions nearby walking distance.
The staff is professional and helpful, room is clean and tidy except the shower head isn't working well.
What a night! #KidCapri spinning the music was awesome!!!
Great location, convenient to shops and restaurants in downtown Raleigh
Glad Sheraton is under the Marriott umbrella now. Really stepped up their game. Room was excellent. Bed outstanding. Staff great. Will stay there again.
The Sheraton Raleigh is a nice hotel. You can tell it is an older hotel and the staff does a good job keeping it fresh and clean. Rooms appear to be freshly refurnished including furniture and baths.
Quiet, clean and very nice area in down town. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, beer and anything u want within walking distance
Customer service was amazing, but the incredible lack of elevators and escalators is frustrating to disabled people.
Ate at Jimmy V's for our managers dinner. The food and the service were amazing! I look forward to going back for date night.
Dirty rooma, bad room service, elevators were broken. Rather go to the Mariott
Convenient location in downtown Raleigh, access to many restaurants and bars. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
*Accepts no ca$h
*acquisition of Marriott or not
rude as corporate decision
Food was great.stafd was friendly. Clean and beautiful hotel.
Nice large rooms. Great distance from all the bars/clubs.
I'm flight attendant who frequents hotels often ;> This hotel by far is top notch on many levels. The bed, amenities, location and staff are superb. Always recieve a warm welcome by the front staff. There is a professional and respectful valet, Wesley McCormick who always goes above and beyond to greet with a smile and kind word, ask about our flights, help wherever and when needed and send us off in a caring manner. Thanks for all that you do for our crew! My favorite layover and play over hands down.
Great location friendly staff very clean rooms I'll definitely be here again
They got rid of the pool, and our refrigerator didn't work, nor did one of our outlets, and the elevators kept acting up. Overpriced for how many things didn't work right
This hotel has customer service nailed. So helpful at every turn. Beautiful and comfortable facilities. Couldn't ask for a better stay!
I was visiting for the NCPA awards; beautiful building and a wonderful salmon and steak dinner!
We are Ritz Carlton rewards members and this is our 1st stay Starwood rewards....the staff was fantastic....Amanda at the front desk was a huge help!!!
Booked on Hotwire not impress. Guest noisy. Front desk didn't answer call.
Out-dated interior and finishes in the bathroom. Walls are paper thin and we could hear conversations clearly from the people next door. Not a comforts stay.
Nice, clean hotel in good central area. I would recommend and go back!
We went to Jimmy Vs and no oysters but service and food were great
Staff incredibly friendly and responsive to my request as a guest.
The management is reflected throughout the staff and it is excellent. Everyone is ao welcoming. The facility is clean, fresh, and addresses every aspect of comfort and service. They made our wedding anniversary so special and memorable by going above expectations with graciousness.
Incredibly friendly staff (especially in the attached restaurant), clean rooms, and great location. The only negative part of the experience was that I asked for a toothbrush on 3 separate occasions to 3 different front desk attendants and I never received one despite being told it would be brought to my room.
If you are used to Starwood hotels this will be one of the worst that you will experience. Constant sirens, parking is inconvenient especially for a downtown location.
I don t where to start. Thank God it was a 24-hr trip because I couldn t stay there another night. The room looked pretty. This was the first time I stayed in a hotel without carpeting but it worked. As soon as I walked in the bathroom however, I knew something was off. I ve stayed at enough hotels to know it s odd if the tissue isn t full and folded into a point. No, not required but I have come to expect it as a sign of completion. The tissue was less than half. Back in the space, I noticed a price tag on the floor. And a pen and pad next to the bed. Ok, again, not horrible but why? And what else isn t clean? We had a late night so I crawled into bed and was surprised at how comfy it was. Maybe it was all in my head, I thought. The next morning, head to the shower and there s two soap bars in the shower. Not ok. Now, I m sure the room wasn t ready for occupancy. Then, I look behind the toilet and .. well, see the picture. After I dress and open the curtains I see the mildew growing along the floor and the ceiling because of the poorly insulated window. I couldn t believe it! How embarrassing to charge someone for those conditions. AND half clean the space! And I m just praying the sheets were clean. Never again. Don t do it. Stay somewhere else.
The room was nice, clean and quiet. Staff was nice. Parking on opposite side of road with valet parking available.
Edit: I paid parking charges through the hotel card since I thought parking was included in stay. I got a significant charge on my card and I called them to know what they were, they forwarded my call to accountant who never replied. I called again this time attendant told me this was part parking and part tax. My hotel stay was paid by company and charges were charged to my account. I called them again, they forwarded my call to accountant again, didn't pick call and never replied to voice mail. I called hotel again and asked for manager then attendant told me accountant was busy and did not understand what I was saying so did not call me back. Good job Sheraton.
Excellent staff for the most part. Unfortunately the hotel is starting to feel a bit dated. Electrical outlet in my room was smashed in. Could definitely use a renovation.
I stayed here last year for a convention and was pretty disappointed. I've stayed at the Marriot the previous years I attended and would highly recommend it over the Sheraton. My friends and I had to stay here due to scheduling issues. The rooms seemed dated, not as spacious as anticipated, we had issues with the AC the entire weekend; it stayed about 50 degrees in our room and they would not provide us with extra blankets when we asked for them. We had to buy extra blankets from dealers at the convention. Both elevators were down most of the time we were there and when one did get fixed, it made horrible noises when you rode it. We didn't get any fresh towels, the bathroom door didn't shut all the way, and it overall wasn't a great experience. Especially not for the price that you pay. I'll won't be staying here again.
Excellent customer service. Excellent location. Rooms need to be updated.
Common areas are very nice. Room is simple but mostly clean (shower could use some extra TLC). Jimmy Vs (the bar/restaurant) had great food and decent prices for downtown.
Staff is pretty friendly and helpful and the location is, of course, great right in the middle of downtown.
Loved staying here. My time spent there for a conference was wonderful. Good location and very nice service and quality.
Very unhelpful staff when it came to fixing an online booking issue
Decent stay. Room was clean and the attendants are helpful.
Fairly nice hotel. Got perks including free Internet and access to the "Club Lounge" due to my employer. Without such it would be lesser than a Hampton Inn. No fridge or microwave. Near lots of good food!
Great rooms. Updated inside modern. Staff wad nice, food wad great
The downtown location was convenient for walking to nearby restaurant s. Parking was not free, but that is expected in any downtown hotel. The staff that I interacted with were professional and courteous. The room was premium for the price and appeared to be recently renovated.
Nice room, parking can be challenging considering it's not included in hotel price
Very nice staff, clean/updates rooms, and the location is great. I would recommend staying here to anyone either business or personal travel. Very nice lobby, conference rooms, ballroom, and attached restaurant.
The room was very nice. Their is no microwave though and refrigerator are in limited ask for supply. Their are not enough elevators and I couldn't find the stairs. I also thought the smell of the hotel was very cloying. Although the staff was pretty nice.
We were in town for a wedding November 30 thru Dec 2. I thought I had booked two rooms and had an email with the 2 room total, credit card but apparently I did not hit the confirm button. Needless to say we did not get the wedding rate - we were charged $65 extra for each room. We were only able to stay one night because hotel was sold out. I was very disappointed in the rooms. One toilet stopped up in the middle of the night and the showers have no water pressure.
Intown property. Access and traffic are a bit dodgy.
The room was very clean and the employees were very helpful and friendly, especially with the numerous lock issues we had
The hotel is amazing it's nice and clean if anything I wish they told me about the 75 dollar fee
There was flies on the lobby... that's all I gotta say for now...
The hotel is nice, updated with a historic feel. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Bathrooms could use some updating and lacked counter space. Parking is acroas the street and an additional fee which was inconvenient and a fact that was not readily available when booking.
This place looks nice from the lobby, but once you get into your room you will see why it is a 1 star rating IMHO
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the food at Jimmy Vs located inside the facility.
Jimmy V's is good and the hotel atmosphere is decent. The rooms aren't that nice and the bed was disappointing. No support. Pillows are not what you would expect from a hotel.
The staff at this hotel are wonderful and incredibly helpful. The rooms are clean, beautiful, well-maintained, and well-appointed. When we realized there was no mini-fridge for our leftovers from dinner, they brought us one within the hour!
The linens and towels are amazing and I wanted to take them home with me. Only downside was the mattress was super hard, which made for a slightly uncomfortable sleep.
Overall, however, I'd gladly stay hereally again.
Also, I'd recommend their restaurant; the food was excellent!
Staying here three nights to attend a convention at the Raleigh conference center. Everyone that works here is super friendly, the rooms are beautiful, the view is amazing, and the entire hotel is very clean. The fitness center is a bit small, but is right next to the pool, so after a workout you can take a dip! The vending machines only take cash, which is tough. The breakfast buffet is okay. Not great, but just okay. The location is very good. Next door to the convention center, very close to some good food options, like the pit, happy hale, and crank arm brewery. I'm thoroughly enjoying my stay.
Love the mattresses and pillows and the restaurant. PLEASE put shelves in the bathroom and get rid of the cheesy plastic round table in the bathroom! Very awkward and unclassy!!
Very nice hotel downtown. The rooms a re nice and clean
Awesome staff and amenities-great location!!! Front desk is amazing
Very nice hotel. Tasteful decor and common areas. Only downside was the issue with the elevators/escalators.
Great amenities on the club level but our room was right across from the elevators so we could hear noise from the machine room with the elevators constantly going up and down. Thankfully the staff was great and moved us to another room for our second night down the hall, away from the elevators.
Clean rooms, attentive staff and right downtown so walking distance from pretty much everything. There's some things that could use some updating. 2 times I've stayed here the shower didn't work, the elevators are extremely slow (typically wait for a while) and the basic tier of Internet @ $9/night just crawls don't even try to stream anything.
This is the worst experience I've had at any hotel. As I write this review I'm listening to every word the people next door is saying because these walls are paper thin. Every little nose in the hallway can be heard. Obviously the people next door has never seen an adjoining room. They kept messing with the door very irritating. But that is not why I have it a two star rating. If I stay in a hotel that is almost a 4 star then the walls shouldn't be made out of toilet tissue. Never staying here again
Great location, friendly staff, and the rooms were clean and spacious enough.
Great hotel for anything related to the Raleigh convention center
Great service, and clean room period location and view are fantastic. Was disappointed to find out that there was no longer a pool at the location after seeing that there was supposed to be one online.
First room the lock didn't function. Second room the diverter valve in the shower just spun and did nothing. The bathroom door stuck and didn't fully close as well. Seems like they should work on maintenance issues.
No pool or hot tub...called day before to make sure that they were available. Would have stayed somewhere else if I had known they were being repaired
This place is fine, but the Marriott next door is fantastic
