We have enjoyed our stay in Island Shangri-la, starting with welcome tea to superb breakfast and lunch. The outdoor swimming pool was good, though outdoor hottub was closed for the whole week of our stay.

Excellent service from the time I stepped in the hotel. Thank you Nicole, Juna, Hailey, Rain, Irene, Nana, Daniela, a tour before entering the room. The housekeeping helped tidy-up while I were out for a quick dinner, thanks.

Overall, experience was perfect! Everything, even to the smallest details, are well taken care of. I have nothing to worry or even need to ask for. If ever I need to give a feedback, it would be having a mix of firm and soft pillows.

We received an early check-in, and the Horizon Club was a great stay with car arrangements and more. I was happy to hear the letters of the pick-up car at check-in and return. I will go back to stay soon

I had an amazing experience staying in Island Shangri La, from being well served at the entrance to the deluxe breakfast on the top floor. Also inside the guess room I found it almost flawless but just a little disappointing that the 2 sets of sofa were s bit old and dirty. The stay was gorgeous.

It was amazing, and Joan was particularly helpful. I had come to celebrate my birthday and was pleasantly surprised with how polite the staff were. They even brought a cake up to my room! Unfortunately the cake had egg, which i am allergic to, but upon finding that out, they brought a box of amazing chocolates for me.

I really had an amazing time.

As usual & as always, have a great experience at your wonderful hotel greeted by your wonderful guest relation officers headed by Bernadette, Nicole, Joan, Juna, Hailey, Tiffany, Rain and Natalie, they are all very accommodating & courteous, which make you feel at home

My wife and I recently traveled from Shanghai to Hong Kong with our 3 month twins and was extremely concerned about travel and accommodations. Shangri-la was fantastic at arranging airport transfers with two infant seats, in room check-in so the infants could settle in quicker, plus a room equipped with a play pen. They even surprised us with an infant care package that ended up being especially useful as we forgot diaper lotion. Shangri-la took good care of two very concerned parents so we could take care of our infants. Thank you very much.

Friendly staff, awesome breakfast, spacious room and very good service.

But facility quite ageing, suggest upgrade partial facilities such as room lighting and plaster ceiling or implement new wallpaper. This would help to bring fresh image to customers. Overall outstanding, keep it up!

Amazing hotel. Amazing team. Amazing stay. Late checkout at 3pm was a god send. Thank you Shangri-La.
Shame I wasn't entitled to Golden Circle points for my stay otherwise, I dare say my stay was as perfect as one could ask for.

Our original reservation was for 8 nights in the harbor view suite at the Kowloon Shangri La to celebrate our anniversary. We found out that the air conditioning system for the entire hotel was not operational when we arrived. The manager was nice enough to give us another room at the island Shangri La across the bay. For our inconvenience, Shangri La refund us the difference in room cost and gave us two free night stay. I dealt with Julian Wipper the hotel manager and he was very professional and resolve our issues promptly. I would recommend Shangri La to anyone who is visiting Hong Kong, the staff and the facility is top notch and we had a wonderful time with our stay considering it could have been a lot worst with the unforeseen mechanical malfunction in the facility.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Everything was top notch - a beautiful room with an incredible view, a perfectly coordinated airport transfer and check in experience, and a delightful breakfast buffet with helpful staff who made my son feel at home.

One of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at. Loved the breakfast and the staff were excellent. Real class - what more can you say about a hotel where the attention to detail is such that they change the carpets in the lifts to reflect which day of the week it is!

This is my second stay in this hotel. I love the hotel. Service is amazing. Staff has a very warm smile and welcoming attitude. Really like the room, the views and the whole setup. The health club is amazing, the bar is beautiful with nice views. Will definitely stay again.

Shangri-La provides quality services to each visit...

Shangri-La provides quality services to each visitor. There are few suggestions and notes for reference.

(1) It would be nice if staff members could greet us in a slower pace when answering the phone, so that we could hear their names clearly.

(2) As the AE platinum card holder, I d appreciate if the sedan services could be changed into credits to redeem at the hotel, where most fine hotels and resorts of AE and Shangri-La Pudong Shanghai offer: not everyone needs sedan to the airport.

(3) the breakfast choices at Petrus, Cafe Too and room services are a great gesture to us. It delights our morning by having many options rather than queuing in buffet line.

(4) I appreciate the gesture of the staff members who sent me email after our visit. It reminds me lots of exchanges with them. This is impressive.

Rooms were elegant but tired, Television didn't wo...

Rooms were elegant but tired, Television didn't work, lightbulbs out in chandelier in room, Toilet ran incessantly. Air con kept the room at 19.5-20.5 at highest temp with a musty dirty humid smell to the room...like old water. One of the Best Club lounges I have ever visited, employees very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at Petrus, serving staff disorganized and untrained.....took utensils and did not replace, salt didn't work, brought pepper back? No multi-tasking.....Leaving was delayed with construction on street, you should notify customers in advance if there is construction close to property.....small things add up. There was so many problems I didn't complain.....I was only there for 2 days and didn't want to have to move etc. I had friends I was visiting and they had a complete breakdown in their room and Staff handled the situation terribly......it was not a 5 star experience. and the 5 of us would Not stay at the Shangri-la Island again. For the price there are far better hotels to be found.

I have to rate 5/5 but there are areas for improve...

I have to rate 5/5 but there are areas for improvement! First the good/great things:

The staff were excellent. A credit to your company and management! Special shouts to the cleaner of our room who was (by far) the best we've yet experienced in any hotel, anywhere in the world. Cleanliness, thoughtfulness and attention to detail are A+++

Also the staff who helped make our child's birthday so special (and as a surprise to us) was so thoughtful.

The staff outside the front doors were great too.

Bad points:
The light system in the room is overly complicated - trying to be too clever for its own good. It can be simplified and more flexible at the same time

The smell! Some days the smell of toilets was very strong especially in the hallways.

One suggestion: Drinks and food are free in the exec lounge but not by the pool or other places. I think you should extend this out to other areas. It seems plain daft that you need to go to the lounge for a free glass of something. that's just messy red tape that would make the stay even better if sorted

Everything is just perfect with no doubt, I can feel they pay utmost effort in every single point in order to cherish the guests. The harbour view room is spacious and classy, bed linen and pillows also worth for the full score as well. Deeply appreciate all the staff including the Guest Relation Team, Concierge, House Keeper, Lobster Bar & Grill, for their hardest efforts being made during our stay. It is definitely a memorable night in our lives and we can t wait to stay with Island Shangri-La in the near future.

It is a pity that many of your friendly old staff like Anita at the Horizon Club have left. An effort should be made to retain old staff who are familiar with guests who have been with the hotel for years.

Thank you so much for decorating our room!

The breakfast buffet was delicious, the lounge was beautifully decorated and such a delight to have champagne everyday!

I tried to take a free airport bus after using the MTR, but there were many customers going to the hotel, so I took a taxi. It seems to be very good to use Shangri-la hotel if shuttle bus from hotel to airport is good.

It s an outstanding property. Keep up the good work. The lobby lounge music is an icing on the cake. I spent quality time there listening to pianist Victoria. Room service was great. Swimming pool well managed. Service quality good. Though some trouble in getting taxi on check out and the boys outside were not much of help. In the end I gave up and too the MTR

Their Cafe Too is a place I seldom missed if time could be spared during transit through Hong Kong.
For the last 12 months their dishes of roasted food in Cantonese style were excellent. The seafood soup was good. Service is always excellent: subtlely present but NOT intrusive
Strongly recommend to any travellers who liked good meal on the run.

The grand old lady of Admiralty continues to stay a favourite for many a traveller due to her timeless style and excellent service but most of all location. The lobby lounge and lobster bar are long standing favorites and the buffet has one of the best spreads in HK. Connected to the Pacific Place Mall which is arguably one of the best malls in the city, you could visit HK and not leave the development and have all your shopping , dining and spa needs more than adequately catered for
