The room is very well maintained; clean; air conditioning is cold; toilet functions properly; staff is attentive, conscientious & courteous; toilet amenities constantly replaced & luxurious; lobby, common areas such as corridors, elevators, toilets, coffee shop, Petrus are well maintained; bell boys helpful, courteous & efficient in handling luggage; doormen attentive, efficient, courteous to calling taxis; food is very good in Cafe Too & Petrus.

Best hotel in hongkong! Omg i love this hotel so much! The interior is amazing, friendly staff , view is super pretty, huge and clean room!

The dinner buffet uses the right ingredients and the place is good, but the lights are dim and there is a discount in the family. It is better than a buffet meal of 3,400 mosquitoes.

Their buffet too popular so can never book a seat. Should consider expanding their facilities to spread their fixed costs since the demand is there. Terrible phone waiting queues, hangs up on you.

Wonderful hotel, great staff, and incredible breakfast

Good Staff. I love the Club Lounge and its smoking terrace. My room was a bit old but clean. The curtains did not close properly and they left croissants in my room for 5 days despite my asking them to remove food from my room upon arrival but nobody did anything but since I have been contacted by a member of management who has apologised.

The place is splendid designed with well finished, very relaxing for my tea buffet on the day

The food is of good quality and the environment is good.

A classical Shangri-La hospitality and attention to detail in Hong Kong

We are very impressed by the helpfulness of your staff and your hospitality. The setup for wedding purpose is appreciated eg complimentary wedding welcoming snacks, utensils for tea drinking ceremony including the lotus seed and red dates. I have stayed twice this year, once in the past year, and both times were very satisfied. Everything was perfect, from elevator carpets, welcome fruit and tea, good amenity and the kindness and cleanliness of the person who cleaned up every day. Breakfast was also very good and we ate every day because there were many dishes and desserts that spanned various countries. The elevator was too fast and I was scared because I shook a lot. Some elevators are shaking to and fro in service and some elevators are shaking up and down trying to get off. Flattering

The summer palace staff is very poor. Japanese restaurant Teppanyaki A5 beef is not as good as A4, how many deceptive ingredients. The cooking and the fried rice were not broken, and I didn t know what to do. The employees at the time of leaving were extremely poor and taught me how to use your affiliate card. brainless!

Everything about our stay was fantastic - room, staff, food, views. It was all top-notch!

Good hospitality. But first night was kind of nightmare. The room smelled like it s molded I guess the room was a spare room.
But thank you for replacing the room right after I claimed.

The hotel is well maintained. Most of the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. The welcome amenities were first class.

However the hotel is slightly dated especially the bathroom.

The location is very good, there is a subway station downstairs, and a bus to the Ocean Park. The room is given 2 bottles of imported French mineral water every day, and there is free fruit to eat every day. The lobby of the hotel can be described as luxurious, almost 10 meters high, and the ceiling is super nice.

From the moment we stepped on to the property, Maggie, Cindy, & Joan made us feel right at home. They were able to answer all our questions from booking restaurants to giving directions to places. They are true professionals and are assets to your team. We look forward to booking with Island Shangrila in the near future.

We spent a wonderful time earlier this evening after dinner at the Lobby Lounge with a new Shangri-La hotel after dinner in Nanjing - leisurely whiskey and listening side / performance beautiful singer pianist will accompany her. She is rich in repertoire, she can have strong voice, but touch to sit, a quality of music with normal. The lounge itself is climbed down with high ceilings. Its refreshing big difference is modern design with other Shangri-La properties. Young service staff provided hope. All of these make us truly relaxed and enjoyable nights.

As always when we stay at Island Shangri-La, our welcome was warm and check in was efficient. We experienced the usual highest standards from all staff, particularly from the in-house IT Department and the Horizon Club who were most helpful. The gym staff were also friendly and professional.

We return in 8 weeks and are looking forward to it !

Dining at Petrus was an exceptional experience. Should be a Michelin rated restaurant! Great service and food in a lovely location.

It always nice to be back in Hong Kong and have the chance to stay again in my best favourite hotel. Always the best and classy of room and services. Hope can visit HK again soon

There are a lot of buffet styles, but the taste is wrong, it is worth trying.

Classic Hong Kong luxury hotel with chinoise aesthetic

From the moment i arrived at the front staff the staff was attentive. You really feel like a VIP coming into the Island Shangri-La no matter what your status is on the rewards system. The reception staff, Tiffany was extremely efficient and attentive. She also had a great smile, which shown through in the service she delivered. Only place I want to stay when I come to Hong Kong.

I had an excellent stay last week. Room was very comfortable, super clean, lots of space (especially in the HK context) and good layout, all the amenities I needed in a business trip, plus the view of the peak was fantastic. Service was efficient, attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive. I enjoyed the welcome tea (in a warmer basket) especially.

A touch of old school Hong Kong glamour. Restaurant here is fabulous for events...weddings and receptions.

My favorite hotel in Hong Kong despite so many wonderful choices. I admit that I have a long, sentimental attachment to this Shangri La, but it remains just as elegant and perfectly run as the first time I stayed there. The location is terrific and the common areas inspiring. This is a wonderful base for business or pleasure in Hong Kong.

My experience at the Shangri-la was, as always, top-notch. From the tea that greeted me to the mobile checkout, I appreciated the effort and detail from start to finish.

Once we were in Hong Kong, we should come here... This is what my friend recommended to me. After dinner we decided to come and drink. It was Saturday night and it was a bit shadowy. But the view is really great. I still can't forget the special scenery and the panoramic view of the night.

I've been visiting the Island Shangri La, Hong Kong, since 1995. During this time, almost a quarter century, its service has never dropped from the highest level. It is simply the best, and the staff are wonderful. The hotel obviously values its staff as some have been there for as long as I can remember and it is so nice that they also remember me. As a result the staff approach their jobs with an immense sense of pride and loyalty, as if it was their own family business. Honestly, I do not think there is a better way one could spend the day than as a guest of the Island Shangri La. My favourites are drinks and dinner at the Lobster Bar & Grill, afternoon tea at Island Gourmet, and sitting in my room looking out over Hong Kong from a high floor room enjoying the freshly brewed pot of jasmine tea that was delivered to my room upon arrival with some chocolate truffles.

New and majestic. Beautiful roof top bar and high end restaurants in the hotel. Beautiful views from the top. You can see the whole Hong Kong Island which was amazing. Be prepared splurge quite a bit though!

This is a premier hotel in HK, quite luxurious. We had read before going that the decor is a little outdated and there are some works going on. We didn't notice any disturbance, the rooms were well furnished and spacious. Situated within a shopping complex, quite convenient for the underground station, you don't have to leave the complex at all.We stayed in a suite with mountain view, we had access to the Executive Lounge and the facilities there were fantastic. Staff were very courteous and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

One of the top hotels in Hong Kong. The staff is on all levels very service oriented and makes you feel very welcome and special.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to check into the Island Shangri La on one of their stacation specials. I am based in HK and without international travel thought I would give a station a go. You can see from the photos and reviews online that the facilities/restaurants/rooms are outstanding. But it was the service that really stood out for me:

As part of the staycation special I was picked up by by a lovely punctual driver (please forgive me for not remembering your name) who was very friendly, and drove a large Mercedes with comfortable leather seats. Upon arrival at the Island Shangri La I was greeted by the lovely Nicole, guest relations. Check in was a breeze, with Nicole by my side to ensure everything went smoothly. It is very rare that checking into a hotel is an enjoyable experience, but Nicole made it so, as did the lovely gentleman behind the check-in counter.

It's worth noting that I had been contacted by phone by Nicole the day prior to my booking, who had called to ask what time pick up suited best, and whether I wanted her to book me a table (pre reserved) at one of the hotels top restaurants. To my surprise she also offered me a late check out on the spot, which I happily accepted. Great to have a personal touch, and not have to be trawling though a website verifying personal details in order to reserve a table.

From there Nicole escorted me to my room on the 45th floor overlooking the HK's Victoria Harbour. The rest of my stay was absolutely fantastic. I'd like to thanks to the wonderful staff that really made my staycation feel special, specifically those on the guest relation team, Nicole, Juna, Hailey, Rain, Nana and Daniela.

Can't wait to get back for my next staycation.

Never got disappointed by Shangri-La's ... and could say the same bout this one! OK location but great facilities, spacious rooms and amazing breakfast in the morning! The swimming pool, spa and gym aren't bad either :D

We had a great check in. They prepared a wonderful surprise for us as this was our anniversary vacation.

We were just a bit bothered, because our room was next to the area where it is being renovated. So you could hear construction works during the day.

Staying at Shangri-La gives me the feeling of being comfortable, meticulous, and able to remember your habits, too human. When you stay in the room, you will see a pot of hot tea, a box of exquisite snacks, and a plate of fresh fruit, just like you feel at home.

The Island Shangri-La continues to offer consistently good service . The staff at the Horizon Lounge need a boost in "general knowledge" of hotel amenities and current events in Hong Kong.
Chef Ricardo at Petrus offered a stellar "Fireworks Evening dinner menu" on the 6th February. His herb garden on the rooftop provides the freshest salad greens and herbs for his dishes.

Impressed by the staffs at the Horizon Club before my arrival. The attention the details and helpfulness were superb. They were able to accommodate my request in advance, made my stay perfect.

Nice hotel next to Pacific Place mall. It is close to central. High class as all Shangrila hotels.

It is conveniently located on the top of Admiralty Station. The swimming pool can take pictures of the skyscrapers in the financial center, and the swimming pool is longer than the average hotel.
This time I stayed in the hotel and upgraded me to a sea view room. The Victoria Harbour view from the room is spectacular, no matter how good the photos are. I will choose this hotel in the future.

I went for a seminar, so I can't rate the hotel as such. Located very centrally in Pacific Place well connected with the shopping mall and MTR.

We had tea time at Island Shangri-La and was leaving to Wanchai afterwards, while we re asked to queue after the non-hotel guests line. Eventually we walked 15 mins and receive no assistance from the hotel staffs. We decided to take MTR in the end. Very unpleasant experience indeed.
