It was the first time in 11 years, but it was the fourth stay (August 19-25) in Island Shangri-La. The staff always has a pleasant response, and the food in the hotel is delicious and comfortable. The bathroom is so old, but I think it is covered by other services (concierge, housekeeping etc).
The staff at the hotel went the extra mile after I sprained my ankle. A wheel chair was provided and arrangements made at the airport due to my ankle. Excellent care. Please thank your staff.
Elegant and cozy. Food, a bit expensive. Tea sets are available in the afternoon. Affordable. You may enjoy high quality service there. Pacific Place is within minutes' walk.
The lobby lounge is quite good for a drink with friends. The live music was very good.
Great stay at a beautiful hotel. The staff are excellent and the location - and views - are excellent. Booked an Horizon Club room which gives you three locations for breakfast and the usual club lounge benefits (drinks all day, canapes & champagne in the evening etc.) and would recommend it if you want something a bit special. Would definitely return.

everything went smoothly ; People are professional, efficient and friendly. Particularly the GRO team (Bernadette and Nicole); Nicole took great care of my daughter who arrived a head of me . She even noticed that it was near my daughter's birthday and sent a cake when we dined at the Summer Palace. Bernadette was great in arranging everything. I was able to meet the new GM and teanm and say goodbye to Franz.. The Petrus team esp Kate was also outstanding .
Very good value hotel, but the valet parking staff outside the door feels better than the people on the guest, no one is the driver of Uber!
Top hotel, excellent service at all levels. Extremely comfortable bed (pillows and comforter are better than at home!). Great view, rooms are at floors 40-56! Welcome tea and fruits, Nespresso machine, Occitane toiletries. Large roof top pool, sauna and hammam. Best choice in Hong Kong.
Of course the high class was taken off to the service level.
it was overall good. It will be good if a complementary morning coffee is available to the guest. While the coffee machine is in the room, but I have never used it in my last 15 years with Shangri-la.

This stay:
1. The elevator bell ringing all night, didn't matter if an elevator was arriving or not.
2. No one to make our bed in the evening. It remained as untidy room after we back from dinner.
3. Receptionist in Summer Palace didn't respond directly to the question we asked many times if the kitchen still open to accept orders.
We very much enjoyed our stay in your lovely hotel and club horizon. Amazingly warm welcome, care and attention at each stage from all the staff. Appreciated the room upgrade, birthday decorations, cake, chocolates, a few hiccups were satisfactorily resolved. Pleased that everything worked out so well. Thank you and see you again soon!
We return to Island Shangri-La after a great stay five years ago with high expectations. We have made Island Shangri-La our hotel of choice after our previous stay and definitely wanted to be back. However after this stay the feeling is probably we will be back and not definitely. We visit Hong Kong every two to three years.
What impressed us five years ago was the service level. We are travelling with two young kids. Let me detail what is the difference five years ago and now. Five years ago when we checked in the extra bed for the children was already in the room complete with two sets of children amenities like slippers, bathrobes and etc. A pot of chinese tea was delivered to the room as welcoming drink which we fully appreciate. The evening turn down service was great with milk, cookies, sweets and etc for the kids.
Fast forward to our current stay. We have inform during our reservation, before our stay by e mail and during our check in that we are travelling with two young children, therefore an extra bed would be required. The check in girl say it was ready. However when we reached the room the extra bed was not there and we had to call for it. They sent it quite fast but when they delivered the bed they provided a set of extra adult amenity instead of two sets of children amenities. This is despite the fact that my two kids were standing right in front of them. We had to request the slippers from the person which sent over the kids drinks and sweets. We had no use for the kid bathrobes or other kids amenities and so did not ask for them. A big disappointment is that we were not provided with the welcoming pot of chinese tea. We thought it was not provided anymore until we saw a pot coming out of another room.
We were also provided with a room on the 41st floor, one of the lowest floor which we accept as the luck of the draw. We somehow have the feeling that our room were allocated to someone else and we were simply given another room which was not ready for us.
We just came off a stay in China World Beijing(Shangri-La) and they had the extra bed in place when reach the room.
We also find that the room is feeling its age and needs rejuvenation. Coat hanger that topples and other aging furnishing. Aircon vent that is quite noisy once switched on to medium or higher. It would be nice if the bath tub can be converted to a walk in shower.
A high point is breakfast quality in cafe too was excellent. However five years back there was a guest relations officer in cafe too which provided great interaction. Too bad it doesn't exist anymore.
Five years ago we booked through Cathay Pacific and paid less. This time we booked direct and paid more. We are also golden circle member. A case of more for less.
Our family have stayed regularly in Island Shangri-La for over 10 years. We just stayed another 8 nights for family vacation. From booking 7 rooms, requesting many arrangements related to the rooms, breakfasts, room services, laundries, gift shop shoppings, checking out, etc, the total experience was just another thumbs up!!
We would like to particularly appreciate Ms Bernadette Guevarra- guest relation. Despite her medical leave, she continued to make sure our requests were taking care well!!. Also Ms Nicole Tang- reservation who was always very responsive and provided good solution! The lobby attendants were also superbly enthusiastic in helping us with the luggages, taxis and wheelchair!!
Everything was truly exceptional, this time. My only suggestion is that, perhaps the business hours of the Business Center, be extended, a bit. Closing at 18:30, just when people are retuning from the business day and may need to access it most, seemed a bit self-defeating.

Great. View is good. Good service. Quiet and clean. It is a bit far from the public transport and you have to wait a little while to get in the taxi. Everything else is good.
The location is moderate, the transportation is convenient, and the taxi station has a good car...
We would like to mention Theresa and her wonderful team at the Club Lounge-Horizon, Hailey from downstairs/Guests rep. , and also Mr. Shyam Joshi the Indian chef from the fantastic breakfast buffet. At the buffet the Ramen soup and the bakery had some of the best we ever had.
Our room was exceptionally clean, and the hotel was in pristine condition. We thought the evening light ( food)menu at the club should be modernized a bit and that a printed cocktail and wine menu would be helpful.
Everybody at your hotel was welcoming and caring.
Our only slight disappointment was a lunch experience by the pool Thai restaurant. The lady in charge was very vocal, kept shouting towards the kitchen, and ignored us for a long time period even though we were the only ones there. Food was good but could improve. We also were a bit puzzled by the fact that we did not accumulated any golden circle points due to the fact we booked on Expedia.
We appreciated our welcome tea, fruit, wine, and the wonderful flowers you gave us for our 25th anniversary. I carried it with me for a long time.
Please keep the traditional values of your hotel chain, we would return!

Unparalleled customer service throughout the entire stay. Cannot say enough of the courtesy of the staff as well as the amenities provided by the hotel. We were able to check in at 6am as an accommodation and it was invaluable to us after a long flight from the US!
The Location was good.....Extremely courteous staff and a very knowledgeable and helpful concierge.
The breakfast was a good spread too. I stayed for one night and was happy I made this choice.

Some staffs were extremely good and some were extremely bad. Especially a lady from concierge, the attitude was very irritated just from having conversation. I was only asking few questions for sightseeing and her attitude answering was very unprofessional and manner and tones were very rude. I did not say much and left but the whole afternoon was very unpleasant because of that. This need to be shared and train staff properly, specially when someone is working in concierge to assist hotel guests... FYI
From the pick up at the airport through to saying good bye when we left, we were made to feel like valued and welcomed guests by everyone we met. The service, the food and drinks, and the accommodation all exceeded our expectations. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
I've been here twice on my visits to Edinburgh and I can't fault what should undoubtedly be a tourist trap (being on the royal mile, right by the castle) but is somehow a cozy little pub with reasonable prices and lovely traditional Scottish folk music every night!
You see below that you got 5 in all categories except one. my only grouse was that early Sunday morning you chose to cut water supply from 1-6am. you did not even put extra drinking water in the room for me. also your rate on that night was the highest of all my nights, !
Nice location. Comfortable & spacious room w spectacular harbor views. Extremely friendly helpful staff throughout - very supportive - anticipate your wishes. Nice gym; pool. Breakfast on top floor w spectacular views over harbour and impressive menu - loved the scrambled eggs w lobster - perfect and truly delicious.
Two minor glitches - airco tended to become very noisy when i increased the fan speed; so i lowered it but then the temp became somewhat uncomfortable ; also tub tap speed very slow (slowed to a trickle when i increased the temp so i gave up and decided to just take a shower instead)

I would like to thank everyone from Shangri-la for this fantastic experience! Every single interaction felt immaculate and genuinely coming from the heart spanning from the airport pick-up, over a five day stay at the Island Shangri-la where service was displayed with such a perfection and heartfulness, e.g. the welcoming, being personally walked to a shortcut in order not to get lost, up to the very end of the stay at the help was extended until immigration at thee airport; I can only say it was truly a fantastic experience.
The location is ideal for any business matters e.g. the convention center; the Pacific Place shopping center is below the hotel providing all high brands, and some exciting galleries are to be reached within 10-15 mins by taxi.
Moreover, the internet speed was great, around 4-5 MB/s and even a mobile wifi device was provided free of charge!

Limousine service contracted out are never on par quality level with ISL own limousines.
It is an old-fashioned and luxurious hotel, with a harmonious blend of oriental paintings and chandeliers. The club lounge is nice and has a great view, and the lounge and main buffet on the second floor are all tasty and delicious. You can see the wonderful oriental paintings of about 30 stories above the Guinness Book of World Records by using the elevator. The view from the room is also great, not much different from the club lounge.
Anna from the guest relation department is extremely courteous and helpful when we arrived from the airport. The in room check in was fast and efficient. The luggage was there in the room before the check in was completed, a feat most appreciated by any weary traveller. Anna made extra effort to make sure that my stay was credited to my Golden circle account despite I gave her the wrong information at the beginning.

During my stay from 26 to 29 Oct '18, i was unable to find sit for myself, my mother n sister, who are also the frequent guest of Island Shangrila hotel, for two occasion due to the staffs n senior staff were NOT assigning seats according to the number of customers, but instead customers were allowed to sit anywhere they like n resulted that one customer sit at table for 6 person.
When i question the senior staff name Teresa she was not professional enough to explain reasonably well n told me to accept the way it was.
At Cafe Too, staffs assign seat according to the number of customers therefore all customers got their seat fairly n happily. This is the way it should be n been practiced every hotels n cafes n clubs. No exceptional to been from China or other countries.
Please improve this wrong doing by the staffs at 47 floor, the Horizon Club Lounge, as it have caused many guests to be turned away n disappointed.

One of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was excellent -- extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The hotel itself was beautiful, my room was extremely comfortable and quiet. Food was excellent as was the service and selection in the Horizon Club. The Spa (although small and lacking a comfortable relaxation area) provided a wonderful massage. This was my first stay at a Shangri-la but it will not be my last -- you have a new, loyal customer.
From our warm welcome on arrival through to the smooth check-out on departure, we found the staff to be courteous and helpful. It's in a fantastic location - close to the MTR, on top of a high end mall and in walking distance of several parks. The room was lovely, stocked with all the little niceties and with incredibly comfortable pillows and mattress. We had breakfast in Cafe Too in the hotel everyday and also had dinner there several nights. The range of food was impressive and, from what we tried, of good quality. Breakfast was clearly labelled which was helpful (we are both gluten intolerant) but there was not always the same clarity at dinner so we had to query some items (not a big deal). Overall, the Island Shangri-La is a stunning hotel!
Nice environment located next to Hong Kong Garden, using escalator from Pacific Place with few minutes walk from the Admiralty station. Function room, restaurant and coffee shop are well furnished with delicious food.
I was really happily surprised that my room was ready upon arrival time at 0730 am after 10 hrs flight.
This was excellent as we got shower and breakfast, before heading to the Victoria Peak which was within walking distance (tram station). The portable WIFI was really good benefit while staying in the Club Horizon room - among other multiple benefits which were included.

The first-class hotel opened by the Admiral Taikoo Hiroshima real estate developer has a superb view from the window and a large commercial space, so it is expensive.
Lovely stay. Got upgrade to the sea view deluxe with chandallier in the room. Great pool. Abit packed w all the staycationers. Butter chicken is abit heavy on the sodium. Amazing bread w their salted butter.
I stayed for two nights and I thought overall it was really good. The hotel is situated in a good location, has a nice bar and the rooms are very spacious. You did have to climb into the bath to have a shower, which I wasn't a massive fan of, but otherwise it was good.
If you are given a good spot, you feel the ambience ; the tables in the middle are a bit too cramp for this level of restaurants; better specify your seating preference.
