Amazing to see for yourself, and the performance was very entertaining, and had a nice modern comedic twist on Shakespeare. A great atmosphere, although if you get yard tickets prepare to get sore legs

Very boring place. I just want to take some pictures. But I need to spend 1 hour to join the guide tour and only 4:45 & 5:00pm 2 choices for the guide tour by London pass. It's the worst experience for my journey in London.

Went to an Irish version of the Taming of the Shrew. It was excellent, with genuine Irish actors and parts where it was Latin was turned into As Gaeilge.
It is definitely an experience of a life time . Especially if you are into Shakespeare.

Went to see 'As you like it' at the Globe on the 08/07/18! Amazing actors and actresses interacting with audience members :)
It was a very hot day when we went to watch the performance (6:30pm start) as the sun was still shining into the Globe- so, it was extremely warm when we were watching the performance. I would recommend getting a seat that's right at the back, as you will have back support. I sat on a seat in the middle and I have to admit that my back was very sore at the end.
Extremely short interval, so I would recommend pre-ordering drinks at the bar.

Very interesting even for a non Shakespeare- iphile. Guide was knowledgeable and gave insight to the time period, the theatre construction, and how the plays are performed. Make sure to leave ample time to see the walk through self guided tour as well - can be done after the guided tour , or before - leave yourself 30-40 minutes.

It was so cool! There was a massive gift shop. I really enjoyed the experience and I learned a lot. That was only from the tour. They do also do plays in the theatre so I would reccomend to check them out. In conclusion, it was amazing.

What an awesome experience! Loved their take on Twelfth Night--hilarious, refreshing, and just down-right entertaining! We were able to get standing tickets in the yard day of for 5 pounds a piece (we came an hour before curtain on a Wednesday and waited).

The ushers were wonderful, the show was fantastic, and the crowd was engaged and supportive. Highly recommend!

My family went to this place because it is included in the London Pass. Although they provide leaflets in different languages, which is nice and thoughtful, my parents could not understand the guide so felt bored throughout the trip. Not recommended for non-English speaking visitors.

We saw the play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, (Shakespeare's Dream of a Summer Night). The work lasts 2 hours 35 minutes with a rest of 15 minutes in between. Very fun, recommended to see with family or friends. The actors very implocated and the participatory public. 100% recommendable. If you pass through London do not miss the opportunity to visit this historic theater.

This place was really neat. We didn't get to see a play here but we were able to watch the crew practice for the upcoming play they were doing. It seems to be a very well run and historically accurate representation of who Shakespeare was and what he represented. If you are in town it is definitely a great place to visit.

It is Thanks to the Communist witch hunts in the good old US of A that we have the Globe replica to visit today. People driven out of the USA came to Europe to find work and one such person was Sam Wanamaker, father of the Actress Zoe Wanamaker.
It was thanks to his vision and drive that the Globe was built as close to the original spot as possible.

I am not a Shakespeare fan and have never seen even one of his plays, but I do like History.
This replica of the Globe is as close as your ever going to get to what Shakespeare would have remembered but with all the modern safety bells and whistles .
It goes without saying that they donot have a dedicated car park attached to the Attraction but, there are a limited (and I do mean limited ) number of spaces for disabled drivers. To book one of these spots you need to contact their office, and its on a first come first served basis.

They get 5 stars from me for having a dedicated help line for special services for disabled people. Contact them with your needs and they will bend over backwards to assist you.
The whole site is very much wheelchair friendly with wheelchair friendly toilet facilities.

I enjoyed my visit and I will return again, perhaps even to watch a performance the old fashion way .

I'm here most weeks it seems to review. This season has been a turning of the glass and the Globe turned upside down with it. Just emerged from an eldtritch elfin Love's Labour's Lost with the most exquisite music ever heard here - or at least in the Wanamaker. What's special is the pitch between robust and intimate Shakespeare, between candelight and shouting in the open air, with the contrasting theatre spaces. Then there's Read Not Dead and 400 year old plays revived for the first time. And new plays thriving in the Globe space perhaps even more than Shakespeare as well as in the Wanamaker. The site's magical. There's life.

The website advertised King Lear, which one can reasonably assume to be a faithful, traditional performance of the play when staged at Shakespeare's Globe. Sadly, it was not. Pre-Roman Britain portrayed by actors in hoodies wearing Dr Martens! Had it been advertised as a modernisation, I would not have booked, and feel very cheated. When I raised this (both on site and through the complaint's process), the staff were dismissive and haughty. There was not even an apology, and they allege that they can't advertise their performances correctly as they don't know what will be performed until the curtain rises. Utter nonsense. I will not be returning.

For anyone who enjoys Shakespeare, avoid the Globe and anything "directed" by Nancy Meckler!

I was dissapointed that I saw a production that was for Billy Butland Holiday Parks , summer time England . It was rubbish , must better shows I struck a real dog . Could not be bothered to visit the show in New Zealand but I hear it was better as far as the actors went .Not trashy .

A very enjoyable venue, which transports you back in time to the 17th century. Three floors of seating surround a central standing area, and there is a good view of the stage from all except a handful of seats immediately to each side of the stage.
There is no amplification, but the sound carries extremely well. I was on the top floor and had no problem hearing.
The seated area have quite narrow wooden benches, and for a nominal fee you can rent a cushion - I highly recommend that option!

Wow, when visiting London you have to go here! A really interesting tour of the Theatre and if you get the chance see a play! Be a "groundling" and live the action! Not to be missed!

I loved the play and always enjoy the experience the globe brings to any production. It dropped a star as I am over 6 foot and the seats chosen could not accommodate my legs. I expected to bring a cushion to sit on - not for my kneecaps also. Could be clearer on website.

Definitely one of the most exciting experiences when in London. Plays are adapted for contemporary audience so it would be three hours of pure fun and enjoyment. Take a standing ticket and feel like a real peasant.

Seeing a performance here will remind you why Shakespeare is famous. The acting is wonderful and the staging is great - masterful blocking. The atmosphere is great. It seems like a 3 hour show would be long, but its totally worth your time!
