I'm here most weeks it seems to review. This season has been a turning of the glass and the Globe turned upside down with it. Just emerged from an eldtritch elfin Love's Labour's Lost with the most exquisite music ever heard here - or at least in the Wanamaker. What's special is the pitch between robust and intimate Shakespeare, between candelight and shouting in the open air, with the contrasting theatre spaces. Then there's Read Not Dead and 400 year old plays revived for the first time. And new plays thriving in the Globe space perhaps even more than Shakespeare as well as in the Wanamaker. The site's magical. There's life.
