Nice tour and the best tour guide ever! His enthousiasm was lovely!
Attended a performance of A Midsummer's Night Dream. GCSE English classes have nothing on actually seeing it played out! Wasn't expecting to laugh as much as I did at a Shakespearean comedy, but the actors' delivery was so good that it wasn't necessary to understand 100% of the language used. The wooden benches are a bit of a (literal) sore point, but cushions are available to rent before the show starts. Though, I don't know how they feel about you bringing your own. Despite that, I do want to attend again, as I was so swept up in the performance. I'd like to see one of Shakespeare's dramas next, just to see how they outshine a classroom reading.
Every City worth its salt will boast of a watering hole where art and culture is nurtured and people of like minded leanings will throng to quench their thirst for expression. Shakespeare s Globe right at heart of London is also another option for artists and lovers of art to throng in. Tourist and locals both converge at this place. Plenty to keep kids engaged. Friendly website guides to what and when to visit for. Go For It
The Swan restaurant at the Globe - great food, drink, service and location, what more can you want?
Just for the experience. Not sure a regular customer.
Although it is a reconstruction it is a beautiful place to visit and get the idea of what the theater was like in the time of Shakespeare
absolutely bloody brilliant , could not fault the production or the work the actors put in . an amazing London experience!
Loved it! Absolutely brilliant day out with my mum! Really enjoyed King Lear. And the Globe is a wonderful atmosphere!
The Workshop was excellent and the Globe its self was also a nice experience!
Amazing tour guide, interesting history and fantastic experience.
Very authentic theater. Old style, Wooden, partially outdoors, multi level. I think, but am not sure, that this theater was used in the movie "Shakespeare in Love". Or this is a very close double if it isn't. Saw the production named Boudicca. An interesting story and production. Well worth seeing.
One of the best and most affordable theatres in London for Shakespeare.
The recreation of a moment in time was past my expectations. The guide was excellent as well. Also note that documents were provided for clarity of the construction. Well worth the visitor.
I love Shakespeare's Globe as the building is beautiful and the plays are great. Yesterday we saw A Comedy of Errors. We laughed so much. Fantastic!
Guided tour which could have been more interesting if the guide knew the place better
Amazing space to experience theatre outside. Especially do ring the warmer seasons. The space itself is worth going to see. Adding a great performance on top of that is a win win combination. You'll not be disappointed. Also great walks to have very close by.
I saw a performance here of 'As You Like It' and it was amazing. The atmosphere was wonderful. The building itself is easy to get to and just gorgeous to look at and the gift shop has a good selection. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic performance! Well worth a visit and the standing tickets are so cheap!
Interesting Shakespeare Exhibition too. Lots of hands on activities.
Beautiful venue.Excellent performance.A must go to when visiting London.
To better understand the Londoners and their relationship over time with Shakespeare's theater.
Really fun and great atmosphere. If you don't mind standing the yard tickets are the best and cheapest!
Fantastic, if you haven't been an you like Shakespeare you simply must!
Friendly staff. Wooden seats, cushions cost extra.
Amazing ! Enjoyed every moment the guide was totally absorbing. Bringing the place alive to old and young, without losing anyone's attention x
Very pleasant they do not rush you and the staff are very friendly.
For those of us who like to respect historic buildings, visiting this location is pure pleasure.
Nice place to see a play. Theatre is not covered so it is better to go in the summer or when it is not snowing or raining.
Cute from the outside. The price for the visit 17 pounds is not worth the theater
Very beautiful reconstruction of the theater of Shekspeare in which we learn about his career.
The problem is, it's very expensive!
Amazing experience, would recommend to anyone purely for soaking up the atmosphere of what it would have been like to witness a play in Shakespearian times!
Perfect replica of the Elizabethan period theater, built to live the theater as it was in Shakespeare's time, therefore with much more involvement of the audience.
If you are already familiar with English, watch a show set in the 16th or 17th century. Maybe inquire before the topic and the plot: even if you don't understand everything, it will be very worthwhile
