It is Thanks to the Communist witch hunts in the good old US of A that we have the Globe replica to visit today. People driven out of the USA came to Europe to find work and one such person was Sam Wanamaker, father of the Actress Zoe Wanamaker.
It was thanks to his vision and drive that the Globe was built as close to the original spot as possible.

I am not a Shakespeare fan and have never seen even one of his plays, but I do like History.
This replica of the Globe is as close as your ever going to get to what Shakespeare would have remembered but with all the modern safety bells and whistles .
It goes without saying that they donot have a dedicated car park attached to the Attraction but, there are a limited (and I do mean limited ) number of spaces for disabled drivers. To book one of these spots you need to contact their office, and its on a first come first served basis.

They get 5 stars from me for having a dedicated help line for special services for disabled people. Contact them with your needs and they will bend over backwards to assist you.
The whole site is very much wheelchair friendly with wheelchair friendly toilet facilities.

I enjoyed my visit and I will return again, perhaps even to watch a performance the old fashion way .
