Absolutely horrible customer service. I called to follow up on when I can expect to be refunded for my core that was returned almost two months ago. Instead of trying to help Shawn was a complete smartass and made several condescending remarks. When I asked to be transferred to a supervisor who might be more interested in handling this issue in a more professional manner he refused and informed me that anybody else I speak to will take the same course of action. I attempted 3 more times to ask for another CSR or supervisor to no avail. At this point I've issued a denial of payment to American Express and will no longer be doing any business with Rock Auto.

They screwed up my order, sent cheaper parts....this sucks

I purchased a pair of headlights for my truck. I installed them and while adjusting them one broke at a mounting point.
I went on line to return it and I did not know if I had to return 1 or both. I was inputting the info and hit a wrong key and the computer said part number does not match and locked me out.
I have not been able to get any help online or by phone. The phone message says to do all contact online. There is no way !!!!

I ordered a fuel pump assembly to include the pump and sending unit and a fuel filter. I placed my order on Monday afternoon, parts were shipped before close of business on Monday, they arrived Thursday and everything fit properly. Did I mention that it cost one half the Dealer quote?

I have used Rock Auto for several years and for different vehicles. This is as hassle free as you can get. Website catalog is easy to navigate. Different options and price ranges are available. All the prices I have found are a real bargain. Make a mistake and order the wrong part, they will take care of you. And, in my case, I returned an item and got the correct one for no extra cost to me, and I made the mistake.
Having owned an auto parts store and spent a number of years in the auto parts business, I could not ever been any better than ROCK AUTO.

Well I'm a do it all myself and I'v found all the parts that I need at reasonable or sometime surprising very low price, I do not know what I would do without RockAuto.

Paid for overnight shipping and didn't receive it after several emails and three lost days I received the wrong part. Their catalog was wrong. their customer service is non existent if you don't have one of their predetermined problems!!!! They do not have customer service reps. you can speak too. I am left clueless to what the hell is going on without a company vehicle because their emails are generic and don't explain anything useful. Never have I dealt with a company like this!!! Been dealing with them for over ten years and never had a problem but after this I'm taking my business elsewhere

After searching parts in other places for my 1979 T-bird I have finally found on google this very easy to use parts catalogue site. The parts arrived 2 days sooner (and I am living in Romania) and they were exactly what I was necesar. Many thanks to RockAuto team!

if they send you wrong part and you try to install without thinking it is possible they made the mistake - they will not take it back if you scratched or got it dirty so they can resell - they admit their mistake but you are out time and money !!!!!

My husband ordered a ac compressor for my car. When we had it put on it did not work. It was taken off and sent back for a refund. After numerous emails and calls we were told they denied our refund and don't know where our part is! We have sent all the proper paperwork they requested and because they didn't think it looked appropriate they denied it yet again. We were told it was our fault for not paying to have a bad part sent back to us. So now they have our part and our money and refuse to so anything to remedy the issue, other than the rude guy, Anthony, we spoke with telling us we are talking in circles and he can't help us. So be very wary of ordering from RockAuto, LLC.

This company hit my card with $700 of fraudulent charges and when I try contacting them there is no way to speak to an actual person. Through many emails, mind you a response from a different person every time, they claim they cant provide me with an invoice showing what was ordered and to whom it was supposedly shipped. Claim there system cant track orders by credit card payments, so I ask how exactly do they provide refunds?? Careful everyone they will steal your money!

I have placed several orders in the past few months and have had excellent service. All parts were delivered quickly with no damage. Very easy website to use and the price was well below dealership prices and local auto parts store prices. Will recommend to all my friends.

I was charged for an item that was cancelled by RockAuto. At first it showed as stocked and later got an email stating the order had to be canceled. Got it, system error. But why would your help menu state that if it says "in stock" that you have it. Not only that I have been charged for the part already. NO it is not on hold in my bank account or pending. The funds have been given to RockAuto. Where is my money or my part?

It is honestly a great place to get auto parts. You will almost definitely get the lowest price. Now, if you really want to make it worth it, don't just get one thing; only order something if you have multiple things in your cart. This way the shipping costs seem minimal compared to my Amazon Prime account. Makes it all the more sweeter. If anyone has any questions then message me.

Quality control sucks!

I ordered tie rod ends for my vehicle. One was missing a locknut. I was given instructions to return the part and I would be sent a replacement. I received the replacement and it was still missing the locknut. Are you serious? 10 days after my order which I paid for next day shipping and still the same missing part? Now I'm told they have to give me a refund because they had some bad stock. Terrible experience! Wasted time and money!

I have been ordering from Rockauto for the past 5 years because of their huge selection and great prices. To top it off, they deliver quick and on time, over and over again. Parts were defective straight out of the box and they are giving me runaround on replacements. When you shop here. You are basically at your own risks. Go to other retailers that take responsibility for their errors.

RockAuto is one of the few companies that will ship to Hawaii without all the extra charges..and will ship USPS..for this reason I rate it a 4 Star.
So many other companies, including a big one that starts with an A... has decided to make shipping here a hassle and will not bend in their shipping rules. I found RockAuto to be as cheap or cheaper than "A" company even with their "Prime".
So..hats off to RockAuto!

Rock auto is a great place to buy auto parts, and is cheaper than local auto stores by about half. I am disappointed that I can never use my discount at checkout. You sent me an e-mail with numbers to use, but there is no place to use at check-out, and this would help with shipping costs. You still beat the pants off the competition!

Rock auto really excels at parts and performance. Shipping is always quick and on time. I really enjoy a company that delivers and is very truthful with all choices of the parts the carry. We always go to them first instead of Auto zone, eBay. Yes some of those places will be cheaper but you get what you pay for. Rock Auto shows Economy , OEM, Performance parts so you can choose based on part availability and cost. Where as the other places may not be able to get choices.
We recommend Rock auto and will shop there. My son and I get great values and above average parts. A Family that has to buy used cars that need work, the have saved us so many times.

I restore OLD cars and I am an old guy. Rock Auto sources lots of "new old stock"
parts. With few exceptions the parts are old line name brand and made in
USA or Canada. You are the "Parts Counter Man" in this deal so you have
to ask yourself all the questions the old line parts guys and gals did with all those catalogs. I was a counter man (before and after I was drafted) and have asked ALL those little questions about your ride, just to get you the correct part. Now that is up to you and you need to do a little bit of digging about your model and the options it has. You can save lots of money at Rock Auto and get VERY GOOD Quality parts. If that won't work for ya
find yourself an OLD line auto parts store and you can't go wrong. But you will probably pay more than you will at Rock Auto. I have NO stock in this company but honestly think it is a GREAT resource. Best regards, J Martin

Great prices and web site, great selection. Pray your order doesn't have shipping problems because customer service will pay no attention until it is missing for 7 days... Not Amazon level customer service. That said, price is king, and parts are their kingdom.

I am sold on RockAuto. Why pay 2 to 2 times more for the exact same part.? Great selection of parts featuring the same brand names sold by local Auto Part chains at much lower prices. Even after shipping cost is added to your order you save an average of 50% compared to local retailers.

We ordered the parts for our Dodge Grand Caravan one day and received them the next day. We have gotten parts from Rock Auto before and we have never had a problem. Most of the time it is cheaper , even with shipping than buying local.

As a recently dissatisfied customer I would like to take a moment to voice my opinion on this page. I purchased an oil pan gasket for a 1998 Saab 900 2.3 non-turbo from RockAuto based on the part match in their drop down list. I then brought this part to my mechanic. He discovered this was the wrong part for my vehicle and had to source one for me locally. My mechanic explained that my 1998 saab 900 non turbo receives the same gasket as the 1998 saab 900 turbo version. I called RockAuto and gave them this feedback. I requested that they update their drop down menu for future customers to have the option to choose between these two different gaskets and provide me a full refund. RockAuto refunded my product cost which was approximately $15. But will not refund me the shipping cost which was approximately another $15. Having been a proud customer for nearly a decade I am extremely disappointed in this treatment! RockAuto foolishly threw away the opportunity to improve a negative situation by rectifying an internal error and making me a more loyal customer by refunding me the full amount for my troubles. Buyer beware!

If you want less expensive parts delivered to you faster than expected, Rock Auto is your safest bet. They have never sent me a wrong part, and if you get a email saying it s going to be delivered on a Friday, you can bet it will be delivered Thursday. Never late, always early. Rock Auto is the best and no I m not being compensated by Rock Auto, I m just a very satisfied long time customer.

You can't beat them. Price, selection, ease of returns, fast reasonable shipping.

The worst customer service ever . We still need help form a person not a machine . I bought a pair of KYB struts to get a better ride and get all the noice out but I got even worse and 350 dollars went to the garbage. Also installation , alignment ext . What a waist of money and time . You were my favorite place to buy staff but never again . Just you ruined my car !!!! And I can t get any help from nobody ....

The parts I need are always available, the values are reasonable. The only criticism is the value of the transport, something excessive.

Never had to deal with them on the phone, or make a return, but overall, I have had a great experience. Four stars because I have not had the "full" experience. That said, I make extra sure when buying online, and have made no returns in my 16 years of buying online.

Rockauto has always been rock solid. I have ordered many parts from them and been pleased with the cost and speed. Once I received a part the was not the correct, and they quickly took care of the situation. I am very happy to have them on my side.

Rock Auto almost always has had what I needed, is 2/3 the price of chain auto part stores and way, way less than the dealer.

Will probably shop there again but I am disappointed in their customer service...there isn't any. If your package becomes lost like mine did, there isn't anyone to call. Still haven't got my package. Guess I will have to go to my bank and contest the purchase.

I recently placed 2 orders for parts . My radiator ordered was an AC Delco ,USA made ,but my Dorman window regulator was made in China ,Much to my dismay. I belive there should be a truth in advertising that states country of origin. You say your a family business, get with it Rock Auto,and stop selling non USA Parts!!!

I ordered my brake parts and had great delivery. The parts worked, but I had to do some customizing on the brake pads to get them to fit.

I would use Rock Auto again, but if the same problem recurred, it would be last time.

I have had only the best experiences with Rockauto. I've read a few guys reviews on here who complain but I never had any problems returning an item and getting credit. Also, I always use PayPal so I'm doubly covered. These guys are really good and you can't beat their prices or fast service. When you order multiple items just pay attention to what warehouse it ships from and you can then edit your choices to cut down on shipping costs. This is just a great place to do business!

Brake Kit was missing parts. With car on jack stands I had to make a run to my local Auto Parts store and get an inferior product. They only reimbursed me the cost of the cheaper parts. Also I found the same set on Amazon for $100 cheaper after I ordered.

I called customer service, to return the wrong part that was shipped to me but it was the wrong part for my vehicle. Customer service said that I had to pay for shipping again since it was my fault for ordering the part. My question is why do I have to pay twice for shipping when they send me the wrong part according to the info and pics on their website? The customer service basically told me to go pound sand and when I told him I would never use his services again. All he said fine thanks and bye . This after spending my hard earn money trying to help this internet business. Well to say the least

Mostly good. I got one crap part that wasn't worth the shipping to return it but considering the value of the many other parts ordered it was worth it to eat one lousy part. It WOULD be nice to communicate with a customer service repBUT if it causes any price increase AT ALL, I can live with out it. Bottom line? Rock Auto is awesome. I love Rock auto

even standard shipping, but not Rock Auto. Not only did the parts come fast and cheap but, they actually had what I needed. All the local
parts stores didn't have parts for my foreign car and the parts they could order were double the price!

Been a customer for awhile now, always fast service, great with the Google notifications, just got a closeout on Wiper blades, $1.67 per blade, and winter wipers at that!!!!!!First place i go is Rockauto when parts are needed.

I had two leaking headlamp assemblies which were defective. I returned them to Rock Auto and waited for them to be received so I would have a credit. The parts were not available on the website when the return was processed. After the return parts were received by Rock Auto - in the process of reordering new as parts on order # 163945968 it did not log a credit and my credit card charged for the full amount. I made a mistake. Now I have a credit balance I wanted to get this credit balance back, but there s no option or person to talk to. Now I have to wait for another need to use this credit good for 5 years. At 69 years old I really don t appreciate this. I agree Rock Auto has good prices, but customer service isn t good.

Bad service, called for assistance and the response was. Well if you don't see it under with your model of car that means we don't carry it. Very rude. Just wanted to see if I wasn't over looking the catalog. No questions was asked to try to help me find the part Etc. Very unfortunate.

I have used Rock Auto because I trust them. I am a 65-year-old female, I grew up working on my own cars and still do when I can. I order my parts from Rock Auto and have not been steered wrong in the four years I have used them. I have always had fast shipping and never a back order or wrong parts sent to me. I really have nothing bad to say. What makes me very happy is that I have an older model Buick and I can still find parts. So thankful for Rock Auto.

Rockauto Has Zero Customer Service! I've used Rockauto for a couple of years now as a happy customer spreading the word however I ordered a part 3 weeks ago & still no part and now have no way to speak with someone to see what has happened. When I went through the online "help" it told me to check back in two weeks befor they would be able to do anything. Really? It'll be Over a month... id rather pay rental price & get it in a descent time or at least have someone to speak with in regards to my concern. If rockauto no longer cares enough about its customers to give customer service then I no longer cares to do business with them.

I live in New Zealand and have a 1995 Z28 Camaro. I ordered my part (Master Cylinder) on a Monday night at 8:00 pm local time or 0200 hrs EST. Confirmation of my order was almost immediate and the part was shipped within 8 hours. It arrived at my door 7 days after i ordered, and we had a holiday weekend in there.
Price was awesome. It was going to cost me more than double what I paid to get my part rebuilt and I had to send it out of town (3 day's)
Part was as described. Brand new and OE part. Its in the car and fits & performs perfectly (straight swap and brake bleed. Job done)
My local service centre and parts shop could not supply for the price I paid through RockAuto and they could not get it to me as quickly. (Also takes in to account the exchange rate)
I am recommending RockAuto to all my friends.
