I have had very good results dealing with Rock Auto over the past 3 years and will continue to do business with them. I had a recent question on shipping costs which I thought were excessive. They came right back to me with a suitable answer.

They give the customer a choice of brands and prices for the same item.

Horrible company. You buy cheap, you get cheap. Don't bother trying to return anything to these guys. They make you jump through hoops and make you pay the shipping on out of box defective parts even though their site says you don't have to! False advertising! I have been a customer for 20 years and they just treated me like someone off the street. Actually closed my ticket mid conversation and didn't even respond to me asking for a customer support line. You will not get ahold of a live person. I will never purchase from these crooks again. Buyer beware! Stay away. Its not about how the smooth sales go, it's about how issues are handled when they arise and these guys get a big zero.

I ordered a pedal position sensor for my kia, when the weekend came I could not get it to fit and had to schedule an appt. with a mechanic to have it installed,2 weeks later the mech. also could not get it to fit and discovered it was the wrong part. A week or so later I went to the website to get a return authorization and was not allowed to fill out the form as it was over 30 days! What am I supposed to do with a $75.00 part that will not fit my car. It was never installed or plugged in and was sent to me because of your error!! THANKS ROCKAUTO

I can say without any reservations that Rock Auto has saved me and my friends and family a lot of time and money. Parts are easy to look up and you usually have a selection from OEM to the best after market parts with great service and fast delivery. If you need auto parts they have them!

Some of the items I wanted to order for installation had part numbers that wouldn't come up when I went to parts search,so I really had to hunt for the parts and couldn't get anyone on the phone to give me the correct parts numbers.The "person" on the phone just said if you don't see your part listed, we don't sell it. yeah right

Best Price Anywhere. I have a discount thru my employer at a national auto parts store with deeply discounted prices compared to the general public. My mechanic can't even get parts with his retailer discount as low as I can. I needed a catalytic converter with the exhaust manifold and checked the price with my discount and it was $520.00 and it had to be ordered. A friend at work told me to check Rock Auto, and the price SHIPPED was $276.00. Now I'm buying struts and a wheel bearing because I won't buy parts anywhere else! Check their prices, you only have money to loose if you buy elsewhere.

shipped another persons order. Now I have to ship the wrong parts back and reorder my parts and pay extra to get them shipped to me in time. I buy my parts from the least expensive place, (who pays more when they don't have to?) but with screw ups like this Rock auto is no longer the best place to buy. At least if I buy local I know I'll get the parts I want the first time when I need them.

I order parts from rock auto regularly but, I had a bad experience with the last order and the situation was never rectified I purchased an instrument cluster for my 2003 chevy suburban and my vehicle has the data info system. The cluster they sent me after I had given them all the details did not acknowledge the info system at all, I sent it back explaining the situation in detail again this took another week I was not able to drive this vehicle for about a month or more . I would still like to give rock auto a chance to correct this situation by allowing me to send back the cluster I have for one that truly replaces what I took out of the vehicle.

I recently ordered a new Bosch O2 sensor from Rock Auto. First time using this site. The Auto Zone and O Reilly auto parts stores in my town were both charging $100 dollars more for the same part than Rock Auto s price. I only had to wait 2 days for it to arrive and it came all the way from California to my house in NC! Unless I need the part today, I will always use Rock Auto.

Stay away from Rock Auto. Purchased lower control arms for a MKS the hydro bushing brackets where pressed on backwards. They will not return the parts because the mechanic threw away the box. Now I am stuck with $250.00 worth of parts that i cannot use. Stay Away from Rock Auto!

ROCK AUTO IS THE BEST AUTO PARTS DISTRIBUTOR ANYWHERE. THE WEB SITE IS VERY EASY TO NAVIGATE. MY ORDER ARRIVED VERY QUICKLY AND WAS EXACTLY AS I ORDERED. I DON'T BELIEVE THEIR PRICES CAN BE BEAT ANYWHERE. MY SHOPPING AT ROCK AUTO WAS MOST ENJOYABLE.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I ordered a bumper molding cover for the driver's side front end and was sent the wrong side (based on the information and pictures on their website). The return process on the internet was not very helpful for me to reach a resolution. When I finally was able to reach someone on the phone, I could not have talked to a more condescending person. This individual was the definition of rude and the antonym of customer service.

So then I sent a very detailed email to them with pictures and screenshots showing how their website was incorrect. I got a reply from Jen admitting that their website was incorrect but, and get this, there was a disclaimer which could have been found and read had I clicked a few buttons, so they were not going to take any responsibility! Wow.

This was one of the absolute worst shopping experience I've had and it's shocking that they did not do anything to make it right. I was eventually able to find what I needed through CARiD, who actually had the exact same part for cheaper and with lower shipping rates.

I would strongly encourage people to stay away from RockAuto. They obviously do not take customer service seriously (which is apparent from reading other reviews too).

I can not believe that there is no way to contact someone at your company. I received an order from you that I paid overnight shipping on, and the part is defective. I paid more in shipping than the cost of the part itself.
I filled out the refund info and submitted it, but am NOT happy about having to eat $25 of shipping for your mistake.
Now, not only am I out $25 for your error, I have to source the part from somewhere else and pay for it again, the car is taking up space in my shop and I have an irate customer that didn't get her vehicle back as promised.
No wonder you don't want anyone to be able to call you or provide any way for customers to talk to anyone about anything...it's obvious you just don't care as long as you hit your sales volume each month.

I used them a number of times found it cheaper to buy on Amazon than pay all their shipping charges. If you order a few items and they come from different warehouses they nail you for shipping charges from both warehouses. Also their refund policy if you claim a warranty and they do a refund they won't mail you a check they will refund you on the card you purchase it with even if the account is not active anymore. You have to go to the bank and than wait 3 weeks for the bank to refund you or make you take a credit. I rather pay a little bit more and deal with a company that would be flexible on giving your money back if you move or close an account

They Post fake positive reviews on sites, and have the worst customer service. Will not refund money back on any updated credit/debit card or allow you to update any current address. The corporate office hangs up on customers who ask to speak to upper management.

They sent me one rotor correct and one incorrect I didnt notice this mistake because the latter was boxed with the same part number as the one i checked so when i compared i assumed they where the same I've been waiting two weeks for them to correct their mistake. What a huge inconvenience for me because I essentially I have to do two break jobs!!! DONT EXPECT AN APOLOGY BECAUSE THE RETURN PROCESS IS HANDLED SOLEY BY COMPUTER. Next time I'll go to the parts store and pay $30 more...at least ill get customer service and fix mistakes faster.

They continue to offer great service during covid19 while many other company's are using as a excuse to offer sub par service. I ordered yesturday at 3:22 shipped at 5 and delivered at noon today. Just amazing. I wish my vendors were this dedicated to customers. You guys ROCK!

Quality part, arrived quickly, cheap shipping, all at about 1/3 of what any auto parts store charges. Paid $45 for a tail light assembly, dealer wanted $230 plus installation labor! Took me less than 5 minutes. Overall, saved me around $250

I needed a new coil pack for my 2009 Chev Aveo. RockAuto had a good selection and I had reviewed 4 of then in the low to mid range price before making the decision based on the manufacturers specs and reviews.

But when the part arrived it was the right box but the part inside was the cheaper brand than what I had ordered.

When I submitted a problem report that if I had wanted the cheaper brand I would have ordered the cheaper brand and I was told :
"Sometimes manufacturers buy parts from other manufacturers and re-sell them as their own. In doing so, they declare the quality of the part worthy of their name and stand behind the product with their warranty. Finding a Brand Y part in a Brand X box can be a nice surprise when Y is the vehicle manufacturer (OEM) or another respected brand. It can be frustrating when Y, sold under its own brand, costs less than X.

We have no control over manufacturer supply chains. When we buy a part from Brand X, we pay X's price for it, and your price is based on our cost."

No offer to exchange it for the better quality brand I had ordered or even an offer to refund the difference in price (which is only $5.00). So if that is how they value customer satisfaction for only $5.00 I would not like to see how they would be for a more expensive part
