Tommy Blackburn is the man, he even lets me beat him at golf every time we play!

If I could give them a zero, I would. Working with this company or whomever they are saying they are working with was BEYOND a nightmare. I would not recommend doing business with this lender or anyone they recommend. They are not forthcoming, they will tell you all these elaborate plans they have for a refi & then, come back with issue after issue blaming someone else. They continue to leave out information even after being probed multiple times - you're lucky if you EVER make it to closing. We decided to cancel after recognizing how incompetent they were. If you are a veteran, I would avoid them & any other lender they recommend.

Doug Hart and Jill Anne Castle at Nexa Mortgage made our mortgage refinance happen when no other bank in CA would. My husband and I have non-traditional income sources (partly self-employed) which made our financial picture more challenging. I started receiving texts and emails from this company at the end of December. I was confused because I hadn't applied for a mortgage since 2017. This was not the company I worked with. The text stated "I have all of your past info and I am here if you need anything" I asked for any of my information to be properly destroyed and DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN. To my surprise the employee actually seemed perturbed with me. After 3 more texts from the employee he said I will not contact you again and good luck. I thought to myself, this guy just told me he had all of my information and now he's telling me Good Luck! Good Luck? As a past victim of identity theft I started having flashbacks. I thought Nexa took my request serious. Not the case. On Jan 11th at 4:24pm I get another text about tax time coming from you guessed it Nexa mortgage! I decided to seek legal help from my attorney friend and he said do not respond, do not delete and keep copies of all texts and emails. I continue to receive emails but they seem to be automated. To my surprise I received a letter in the mail today from an attorney. I turns out my information was involved in a data breach from a former employee of a mortgage company I was working with in 2017. The mortgage officer now works for Nexa and took my information and it didn't belong to him. Keep sending me emails to add to my collection. You can bet this won't be the last complaint.

My broker was actually a Loan officer, who had little experience. He received his licensed this year. He explained all the "Brokers" under NEXA Mortgage are actually loan officers. My deal never closed due to Zero Processing efforts. I later discussed what was the hold up?? The loan officer explained the Lender actually did NOT have processors, and he had NO experience in processing. I pulled out the process, 1st the rate offered was high, 2nd the cost of the loan was near $6K, across other platforms I found a rate at 3.25% with only $2200 in closing cost. Nexa is a Joke! Don't let it be on YOU!

I've known Mike Neill professionally since 2010. So I chose Mike to be our mortgage broker when we were house hunting. Mike was quick to get us a pre-approval but was not easy to get a pre-approval $ amount out of, I really had to work to get the number from him. Once we finally knew what our maximum $s were we started house hunting. So we found a home and got an accepted purchase agreement with a Oct 15 per the sellers counter offer. We weren't asked for payment for an appraisal until Sept 6th and thereafter it was very hard to get any info from Mike. He reduced communication to a minimum and kept us in the dark. There was a lot of none communication through out the process. We finally signed off on the CD on 10/21 and thought things were good. But suddenly there was a flurry of request for info and on Oct 31 (day 81 for a 65 day closing) in the late morning we received a denial letter. As we had given our landlord notice that we were moving out on Oct 31 this was a bit perplexing. Also as Nexa caused us to be in breach of contract do to the late denial we lost our earnest money. Mr. Kortas there's no purpose for me to call and discuss this with you so don't bother putting a call you in your response.

Carla, my loan officer, guided me through the entire loan process, which made for a very positive experience. She got me locked in at the rate I wanted and we closed in time to keep that rate. She was very professional in her approach, responded quickly to any questions I had, and got me a quality product at a very good value. I would highly recommend her and NEXA Mortgage to anyone looking to finance or refinance a mortgage loan.

This has been the worst experience. They have been so unorganized, you would think this was their first mortgage. After being told we were preapproved, we put money down to build a house. We watched it be built, our kids picked thier rooms, we've been beyond excited. When it came 30 days to being complete we notified Nexa. They started the process. After several weeks they come back and tell us they cant do it unless we come up with$27k. We scramble and make it work. Every week they tell us we're good and set dates, just to come back and tell us they need something else. It's been one thing after another. They have very little communication and leave you in the dark assuming things are going well. After reading reviews, this seems to be a common issue for them. Don't waste your time and money with them, go anywhere else.

Susan Schoonover contacted me to let me know she'd moved to a new company, she was quite exited to be working at NEXA. When I reached out for some information, I went five weeks without getting a response. During that time though, I received four more email blasts, two of them on two consecutive days, but no reply to my inquiry.

Unresponsive, would recommend you look elsewhere for your needs.

I just bought my first home, Greg Nichols is amazing! He was creative, patient, professional, but also really fun to work with. I tried to work with another lender previously, they didn't communicate well and left a bad taste, Greg gets an A+ from me. I was pretty needy throughout this process, lots of questions and hand-holding, but Greg treated me like a good big brother would the whole time.

I wish I would have searched for reviews on this company beforehand. I would have seen that many people in this company don't have communication skills. I'm beginning to think they just want everyone's financial information so they can steal identities. What a waste of time. Do yourself a favor - find another mortgage company that isn't run by a bunch a buffoons.

DO NOT WORK WITH mortgage broker, Mitch Kruger. He is completely incompetent and is taking no accountability for his actions. I had the very unlucky privilege of him being my broker for a home I recently purchased in MN. He first had the wrong closing date and was working towards that date unbeknownst to anyone else involved, causing us to not be able to close. Then he changed our loan application causing us again to have to delay, this time we didn t find out until we had moved out of our current home causing us to be homeless, and creating large expenses for us with hotel and storage, which he refuses to reimburse us for. THEN he had the wrong house cost on closing documents creating another delay. This is crazy! He needs to be held accountable for his actions.

Buyer decided to use Arthur Brison II as their LO with Nexa. Communication was non-existent. Lack of basic lending knowledge, non-existent. Arthur sent bogus loan status updates and promised it would close on time. Here we are days after close of escrow (not one update). Things go wrong in transactions but what these people did is negligent, arguably malicious. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

NEXA team stayed on top of things througout the process. They made it quick and easy, and kept the or organization going. Good rate too!

I really hoped they were different but noreen sparks knew our situation and yes she did try to push the refinance through but in the end it didn't go through, but there was no communication on their end letting us know about the outcome, hey we're sorry u were denied.. we were just left in the dark, wouldn't return my calls, emails or text messages , like i said in the beginning she was great but in the end we were left wondering, no communication atleast a simple call would of been nice... but its ok as soon as we are in a better situation we're just going to use the big companies atleast they keep u posted on the status of ur refinance

I had a very good experience with Nexa mortgage up until I decided to go with another lender with a better rate and fees. The service was great up until this point. When I explained I was going with another lender, the broker proceeded to say, "Oh we can match that rate." Why wouldn't I be offered this rate in the beginning? When I said no, he proceeded to say "this is very disrespectful in my industry, I worked really hard on this." Unfortunately, we all work hard on things and do not get the outcome we want, that's life. Let me give you a scenario. You are shopping for a new car and go to two dealerships. One dealer says it costs 60k, the other dealer says they can sell it to you for 55k. You tell the first dealer that you have found a better deal. That dealer then says "Oh! we can match that price!" Who are you going to give your business to? The dealer who tried to charge you more but would price match, or the dealer who gave you better upfront pricing in the first place? I think we all know the answer to that one. Like I said great service up untill that point.
