Location: 5 stars, super right on the cathedral and the Spree and central to the Museum Island. Staff 5 stars: very polite, well trained and courteous. Booked BUSINESS double room: 3 stars, small, no shower, tub with shower. Beds too short. Location to the cathedral also costs 50 / day extra. Breakfast buffet: 3-4 stars, on the 2nd day no salmon / fish, cold cuts poor and not laid. Plus fresh fruit and smoothies. The room category and breakfast buffet don't justify the price, only the location, staff and lobby with the impressive aquarium.

Really nice architecture with the comfort you need (spa, treadmills,..). I would also recommend you to have the stunning buffet breakfast for 12 as well if you stay there (around 25 if you are not a guest).
(writing a review while having a miserable stay) - Don't even bother staying here. Wait 2-3 years, when they promised a renovation for the rooms. This hotel has SO MANY problems that it should be excluded of the Radisson Blu chain (other brands are fantastic, try the one in Vilnius). Very expensive for the poor quality of service you get. Problems - No charging stations next to your bed (I was able to get an extension cord at the reception, but still not ideal) - The room is dirty and dusty. The cleaning staff seem very unpleased at their jobs and the daily cleaning is poor. They won't replace your amenities - Some staff at the front desk are unwilling to help (some others might make an effort to hear your complaints, and they'll mention the restoration scheduled for 2020). I feel empathy for them, there is nothing they can do besides wait. - Even though you pay a lot of money, forget about the elevator for the aquarium. You must pay extra. - 24EUR (promo) or 29EUR(reg price) for a breakfast buffet is ridiculous. Walk to the places nearby to get breakfast. - The toilet smells really bad. It smells like a public toilet. - The pillows are the worst. They are mushy and thin. 0 comfort. - The rooms are small and the layout is not efficient. A lot of wasted space - Bathroom equally poorly designed - The lobby is loud and busy during the summer (fine, it's normal) and there are no power outlets to charge your devices in case are planning to do some work in the ground floor - No minibar (there is a cooler for drinks only) - Staff will knock on your door for different purposes throughout the day (ex: to deliver a note about the SPA, etc). When it's a paper, just pass it under the door! (Minor complaint, but if you need to work during your stay, be aware) - SPA closed during part of our stay (another minor, problems happen) - If after all these problems you think of going anywhere else, the'll charge 90% of what you paid (booked using the official website)
The good part: Excellent location for tourists. Beautiful aquarium (you can see it from the other elevators).
Thanks to the one staff (Bruno) that heard a shortened version of my complaints. I understand nothing can be done right now.
TL;DR somewhere else would be better. Try Motel One
Very nice hotel in a very good central location. Service is excellent and every request. Especially impressive was the large fish aquarium in the hotel. The rooms are very cozy and a good size. The swimming pool is quite small but for a short bath quite enough. Was very happy with my stay. Would recommend this hotel.
Great building, nice rooms and a great parking garage Highly recommended, the staff is very friendly. Lifts are great and the aquarium is a highlight Really 5 stars
Nice there, spectacular lobby with a huge aquarium. Unfortunately, as a hotel guest, you cannot take the elevator through the aquarium. Otherwise nice room with a view of the Berlin Cathedral. The Museum Island is right next door. Staff attentive and friendly competent. Breakfast delicious.
The location of the hotel opposite the Berlin Cathedral is perfect for city trips. A great hotel! It was a very good experience and a pleasant stay. Our room had a view of the aquarium. Very friendly staff, clean rooms (back very quiet), a great breakfast buffet. The spa and pool area is very manageable. The Radisson Blu Berlin is a good 4-star hotel.
Our beautiful hotel right on the Berlin Cathedral. The aquarium is a real highlight. The rooms are great. The breakfast is very rich. Absolutely recommendable
For this price range, a complete disaster. You pay 30 for a standard breakfast. The staff was sometimes very unfriendly, which made one angry. NEVER AGAIN
Very nice hotel. Don't be fooled by the aquarium in the lobby, you can't go in it because it's part of the sea life centre. It's nice to look at but I felt cheated by this as it's not mentioned on their website. Great location near to shops and bars and the sights.
Location is great, the room furnishings are okay. Unfortunately, the hotel was way too crowded for the corona operation. Actually only 2 people are allowed in the elevators. Unfortunately this is not practical. So you wait 15 minutes until you catch one of the 4 elevators where you are still allowed in. Unfortunately, only 2 of the 4 elevators go to the underground car park. Insider tip, book a room on the first floor (if available) and avoid the elevator if possible.
The hotel is centrally located The service is about polite (apologizes very often) The room is perfectly ok The service in the restaurant of the hotel is too inattentive (it takes a long time to get an order)
Very great hotel. The view from the glass elevators to the aquarium in the foyer is breathtaking. Location is perfect and super central. Very friendly staff. Parking in the underground car park is very convenient (22 / night).
Excellent location, delicious breakfast, clean rooms and good housekeeping staff. Everything about the Radisson Blu Hotel, Mitte, in Berlin was outstanding! The staff was extraordinarily efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. Special kudos to concierge Rene Waltz for his endless patience, knowledge of the city and warm, helpful service--always with a smile and sense of humor!
There is nothing to complain about about the hotel, the service was nice, the room was great and quiet. Hotel location perfect in terms of accessibility.
Great hotel with an aquarium and 4 star restaurant inside! Be careful the room keys are really sensitive to any magnetic force so my key kept resetting.
We stayed here soon after staying at the Radisson Blu in Cologne and the experience this time was even better!
We arrived by car and as the Radisson Blue Berlin is located inside the environmental zone for Berlin you need a Green sticker. Any cars rented from inside Germany should already have this fitted, cars rented outside Germany will not and you will need to leave the car outside the area, organise one yourself (takes time) or risk a 40 fine (not sure if they have cameras or you have to be stopped).
The car park entry is outside the main entry (stick to the right hand lane when driving towards Museum Island). Parking was 20 for a 24 hour period.
Check in was fast and the staff pleasant, the foyer has the worlds largest fish tank for you watch whilst you are being checked in and you can also ride up inside the fish tank via a commercial operation that is outside the hotel (you can probably arrange tickets with the hotel).
The room was great, it was clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom, comfortable bed and like other Radisson Blu hotels offer unlimited high speed WiFi and Ethernet internet (50Mb Symmetrical!) at no additional charge.
The hotel is within walking distance of many locations such as Museum Island, the Berlin TV Tower, Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Cathedral, Checkpoint Charlie, the Pergamon Museum, the Reichstag Building and the Topography of Terror.
Our room had a balcony and was at the rear of the hotel so the door was able to be opened two ways, tilted or fully opened. The balcony was small but had two chairs and a table, if the weather was nicer it would have been a good spot for dinner or breakfast. The air conditioning worked well and kept the room cool at night.
Breakfast in the morning could have been great however we were in a rush so didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked but it had a great variety.
We would definitely stay here again and other Radisson Blu Hotels as they seem to have consistency across their hotels.
Room Tip: I would be wary about having a room facing the outside Atrium as there are commercial offices on the other side.
Great clean, comfortable, and modern hotel in my favourite part of Berlin. The business class rooms are a little more expensive but probably worth it for the views alone.
The kindly upgraded our room to one with the tower literally outside our window it was a marvellous view. You never got lost in the city as you can clearly find your way back because of the giant building and tower being next door.
Only pitfall would be the tiny extra charges for everything like luggage storage, toilets in reception etc. and the in-room toiletries are very limited and the pillow was pretty flimsy.
But, great price, location and view would stay again in Berlin.
Excellent location, atmosphere, attention. Modern rooms, impeccable amenities. It has a magnificent aquarium in the lobby. Your staff is waiting for everything. The best condition in Berlin
Apart from location which is great, awful experience. Internet not working, room mediocre & not soundproof (they were doing some renovation work which didn't help at all - Of course that's not really what you wish for for a business stay), shower didn't work properly... I couldn't go on and on. Go stay in the Hilton instead!
Went here in 2015. Their location is the best and the Aqua Dom is breathtaking, the staff is helpful and their food is great. The views of the Berlin Dom and the river front are so beautiful and their breakfast tastes so good! Highly recommend. A+ Thank you!
Unbelievably unfriendly security lady at the reception. I had to leave the hotel in tears because she made me ready in front of the guests, in front of our 3 children. Even the service at the bar probably got the incident. My husband and our 3 children (2,4,7 years) were in transit in Berlin. Actually we wanted to drink coffee in the lobby and of course the great aquarium show the children. We were also allowed in, the security lady let us in. After we finished with coffee and ice, my 4 year old son wanted to ride the elevator with me. I did not think bad and got the elevator. Promt other guests have joined. Only when we were in, I realized that I do not come up without a hotel card, you have to plug in the entrance, not at all. But then we started already. I asked the guests in the elevator if I could go down without a map and if there is a staircase. On my luck I pressed the EC button and on arrival on the ground floor was already waiting for me the security lady. It was immediately clear to me that there is trouble right now. I immediately apologized and told her that it only became clear to me in the elevator how it works with startup. She did not react at all. She told me that I had sneaked into the elevator according to her surveillance camera and endangered the safety of the guests. Her announcements were literally: her the lady, follow me (also not please), child at hand! With command tone par excellence! (my son was with me all the time). At the announcement: child to the hand! I was still confused, of course, followed her and said friendly, that I take care of my child already. My husband saw the situation from afar and hurried to it immediately. The security lady then informed us that the hotel was exclusively for hotel guests and that they only tolerated us because of our children (!) And that they also do not have to be friendly! On top of that came the reproach to my husband that he had moved away from our children for more than 20 meters! ?? I beg your pardon? What else should he have done? He came to my rescue, it's clear. Unbelievable, impossible, unfriendly, loud, almost threatening. I will definitely not go there, even from the feeling that I do not welcome there as a guest, but be tolerated
Staff was friendly and polite. Rooms are comfortably furnished. In house restaurant was good if a little expensive. Hallways constantly smelled like shoe polish. Room windows do not have bug-stopping screens. The lobby is pleasantly cool. More
Location great, room expensive and shabby. Because of corona no breakfast buffet, which would not be tragic. You get everything ready, unfortunately there is far too little staff available. The blond young man has a talent for watching an egg omelet fry. You could also distribute bacon or scrambled eggs, but you don't have to. So you need up to 15 minutes to have cheese, rolls and a fried egg. The air conditioning is set to Siberian. Nevertheless, you have to praise the large selection at breakfast. And some service staff run and do and do ... The aquarium in the lobby is part of the sealife and can only be viewed from the outside. The bar was closed. It's a shame for all the money ...
Very nice hotel with the most amazing Fish tank on the lobby that you will ever see. The fish tank has a lift running through the middle. Hotel restaurant was nicely situated alongside the river. Staff were very friendly and good at communicating in German or English
The hotel is very good. Close to Alexander platz and the island of museums very well connected with everything. It has an aquarium at the reception, what does not seem right is that customers or non-customers have to pay 4.5 to visit it in an indoor elevator
Highly recommended as a conference hotel! The congress rooms on the upper floors are surrounded by glass and very classy! The flying buffet during the lunch break including very attentive staff is also great! Special feature: homemade granola bars for the cake buffet! :-) Another absolute highlight: The view in all directions and the aquarium in the middle of the building (currently, however, in the renovation).
It is a very original hotel. The rooms face this monumental and indoor aquarium. It has a huge variety of marine species. The elevators are also facing the aquarium. For a third perception of the dimension of this structure, a photo with a diver (attendant) is needed. It has a space inside, which works as a bar that deserves a visit. The shade of blue gives a feeling of serenity.
Nice atmosphere, the aquarium is a real eye-catcher. To get to the upper conference rooms, unfortunately, a scavenger hunt across the building is necessary, but the food makes up for it.
I was there for a professional training course and can only say that I will be happy to go there again. Everything was very clean and the staff was great, friendly and always helpful.
Really a wonderful hotel, besides the interesting design of the hotel itself, also an outstanding service. My family stayed there for a week at the beginning of the year and we hardly had to take care of anything ourselves - tickets and reservations could be handled entirely through the concierge. Suitable for everyone who would like to enjoy a wonderful view in the middle of the city, either of the Berlin Cathedral, the television tower or the huge aquarium inside, and who just wants to relax without having to plan and do everything themselves.
Fresh news because we returned yesterday from Berlin Ideal hotel location, near Alexanderplatz square where public transport and shopping center are located just the bridge to cross and you are on Museum Island, under the bridge you can take the boat ride, we also bought the tickets via the hotel concierge The aquarium is still under renovation we were quite disappointed as some of you we had a room which overlooked the inner courtyard where there is the reception, the bar etc ... not great because not enough privacy BE CAREFUL we were surprised to discover that the sauna is mixed, it does not pose a problem if swimsuits are not prohibited. Everyone naked (young people, men women) !!!! suddenly I think that a lot of French people cannot take advantage of this service, it is a shame or another nationality which is not used to that these said we saw people returned with their swimsuits. we had booked 3 rooms (bath, no shower) the staff very friendly, and we enjoyed the breakfast, pan cake, various fruit juices, various breads, cereals, cheese (good), eggs (omelet, fried, shell, scrambled) sausage, smoked salmon etc. .. 20 to 30 minutes from TEGEL airport IMPORTANT: do not go into the hotel without your room card if you do not meet a hotel guest who goes to the same floor that you will not be able to go back to your room even when using the stairs with the door locked.
Beautiful and luxurious hotel with a huge aquarium as the main eye-catcher that is cleaned every day by two divers. Good service and welcoming reception. Visit Berlin and stop by for a drink at the bar. You are then right under / next to the fish tank!
