They took forever to get my order to me. Since it did not arrive in time for my project i needed to return it and they made me pay the shipping to return. Cheaper prices but terrible service that you have to pay to return products.

If I could review this company as no stars, I would. Very poor customer service. I ordered a deep freezer and accidentally ordered the chest instead of an upright freezer. Within 1 minute of placing the order I called the customer service number to cancel the order and was told that the order could not be cancelled due to already being processed and shipped. I had not even received the order confirmation email since I called within a minute of placing the order. I then had to call the shipping company once I received a tracking number and ask for them not to deliver it and send it back to the company. The item was re-routed within the state from which it left and was returned to the warehouse. I finally received my refund after a few weeks and $45 was deducted from my refund for return shipping. Contacted the company again and was told they won t refund the full amount. I think that is very poor customer service to tell a customer that they cannot cancel because that within a minute of placing the order that the item was processed and shipped; which in reality is impossible. Everything should have been done to try and cancel the order but clearly that was not the case.

One of the few places I've found that actually sells real OEM replacement bulbs for Panasonic projectors, not some shady knockoff claiming to be original like pretty much everything on Amazon. Their ordering process is a little bit of a pain, hence the 1 star I knocked off.

Ordered a replacement part for an OtterBox defender case for an iPad and it turned out to be the wrong size for my iPad. Had to pay for shipping myself to return and was only reimbursed for the item not the return shipping so all in all was at a loss out of pocket and no product.

Updated 1/10/2020. It has taken over a month to get this issue resolved. OPPRESSIVE return policies! ZERO STARS - Received my Unifi cameras quickly from this seller. Cameras turned out to different than what they advertised on their website (bait and switch). Not allowed to return without an RMA. You must email them (filling out a web form for this) and they will "get back to you" in about a week. A week to return an email? I finally heard from them telling me to "Please allow up to 20 business days for this process to go through. Once finished I will email you the return instructions and where to return the items.". Twenty days to get an RMA? So just now they send me an RMA number for only one of the two cameras. I have only 10 days to ship back to them (UPS only) at my cost! Because the second camera was opened they say that will be a separate RMA number. How hard can they make this process?

Buyer Beware......

You better hope you never have to return anything.

After purchasing from provantage for nearly a decade we finally got a batch of thin clients in that were bad.

We alerted provantage of the problem immediately but they offered no assistance except to contact the manufacturer

We continued to worked directly with HP for 2 weeks. With no resolution in site we attempted to exchange or return the thin clients

At first we were instructed that we would be hit with a restocking fee of 25%. If this wasn't bad enough we were then informed we would need to deal with HP directly as no return or exchange could happen as it had been 34 days and their return policy is 30.

Please think twice before before purchasing.

I absolutely love this place for various reasons. First off, they always have best or near best prices on most parts im looking for, and if something is out of stock they reach out an order it for you, and it gets to you about as quick as if they had it in stock themselves. Its really nice to be able to get popular parts reliably even ones on back order. And in the event you have an issue with your order their satisfaction guarantee has always be honored to the letter. Great place thats been around a while and knows how to treat its customers. 5 stars for sure.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I ordered a current model Samsung blue ray player on Black Friday 11/24/17. Instead of honoring the price Provantage cancelled my order and stated that the product was not available. The product is available. Shame on this company for being so deceitful. Avoid this company and do your shopping with a company that has better moral values.

I will never use this vendor again.

I purchased parts from Provantage for a business project based on their indication that the parts were in stock and could ship over night. I paid a premium for over night shipping. I passed on other vendors I have done business with in the past based on the fact Provantage "had the parts in stock".

Provantage lied the parts did not ship for 14 days, much worse than the delivery promise of other vendors I trust who honestly told me 4-6 days before shipment.

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered a part, called to make sure it was in stock, paid for overnight AM delivery. You can probably guess where this is going - three days later it still hasn't arrived. Called to check and was told it just shipped today. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE AGAIN.

**UPDATE: I've changed my rating from 1 to 3 after Provantage made things right.

I ordered some bulk cat6a cable from Provantage. I received an email a few days later saying it was backordered and wouldn t be shipping for a couple weeks. I needed it sooner, so I called and cancelled the order. I then purchased the same cable from another company (for a bit more money). A couple weeks later I received the cable from Provantage that I had cancelled. I contacted them so I could get it shipped back, and they said they had no record of me calling to cancel the order in the first place. This was frustrating. I still wanted to return the cable either way so I requested an RMA. The RMA took two days to get approved, but I was on a short vacation when the email came across. When I finally read the email 5 days later, O realized it was only good for 10 days from receipt of the email. Another frustration. So now I scramble to get the shipping labels created and realize it s going to cost me around $100 to ship due to the weight. So I contact Provantage to see if they will cover the cost of the shipping. No luck. I was told that shipping labels are for damages and defective returns. We do not provide them for items that are no longer wanted or needed. So despite calling and cancelling the order originally, I m now stuck with a spool of cable I no longer need that isn t worth shipping back. Guess it s going on Craigslist or Ebay. I will never do business with Provantage again. I don t like being made to feel like a liar when they were in the wrong.

The item we ordered (a laptop) was sent to us promptly, but we realized it wasn't quite what we wanted, so we needed to return it and order a slightly different model. Provantage does not make it particularly easy to do returns. For that reason alone I'm not inclined to buy from them again.

BEWARE!!!!!! Terrible service. was sent damaged toner CPU unit and returned it right away. Took 4 weeks to get a credit issued to my card, however, I am pretty sure it still not has not been done as it has been over 5 business days and the credit has not appeared and they have not sent me the credit card receipt of the credit - which I have asked for. Seems VERY shady and it looks like I will have to dispute through my actual credit card company.

Placed an order for 3 chromebooks, for my triplets, as birthday gifts. Paid extra for 2 day delivery and website said there were 66 in stock. Never received my order or a tracking number. Contacted via e-mail and representative said they would contact their distribution center and let me know. Never heard back. Called the customer service number the next morning. Nice lady answered but then transferred me to the same rep I spoke with via e-mail. Not only was she rude, but she sounded as if I had just woken her up. She said my item is now on back order for over a month! I said that I would like my 2 day shipping money refunded as they did not provide 2 day shipping. Rep said she would have to talk to her manager......I also stated that their website said they had 66, of this particular chromebook, available, to which the rep replied, yeah, well I don t know who updates the website or how often that s done, so that s too bad for you . Too bad for me? You had no problem taking $800 from me immediately after placing the order. They are also linked to Samsung s website to buy from! Never again!

After reading the reviews here I'd say this compan...

After reading the reviews here I'd say this company suffers from having a large number of very unreasonable people as customers.

My personal experience is excellent. Whatever I order is always received within the expected amount of time. If an item is in stock I receive it within a few days. If an item shows low or no stock backorder processing occurs automatically. The backorder estimations are generally conservative so I get a nice surprise when it arrives early. I've even gotten e-mails from a sales rep to change to a new product when the old one became unavailable.

They also have a wide array of IT products that are generally harder to find in online stores. I recently bought a terminal server from them to replace an old one. I was honestly amazed they stocked them. These things were cool in the 90s when people needed to stack modems for dialup.

Placed an order in late March and when it had not arrived in late April the said it had an ETA of 4/29. That date came and went no order delivered. Emailed company and was told new ETA of 5/15. Date is here now, no order received. Emailed again and said we would like a refund of our funds. Got reply back saying simply that the order was canceled. No indication of refund or what occurred as to why the order was so late. Nearly two months wait for one item is WAY to long. Never again will we order from PROVANTAGE.

We are a small non profit & in July we ordered a new laptop & docking station, as well as a few other pieces of equipment. This was a huge stretch for our budget. The 2nd monitor kept going black, but it was a hectic time & the one monitor sufficed. Once our limited staff had a change to troubleshoot, it was a few months from ordering. A brand new monitor didn t fix the problem & I was advised that the docking station seemed defective. I contacted Provantage & it was outside of their warranty & told me to contact Dell. After nearly 90-minutes in the phone with Dell, I was told the docking station was not compatible with the laptop & they should not have been sold together. I was advised that Provantage should have asked for the model info of the laptop first, and Dell said Provantage was responsible. I reached out a 2nd time & even as the tech experts they declined to assist. So I m stuck with a relatively expensive piece of equipment that does not help me in using dual monitors. I m extremely frustrated by this, and will not recommend Provantage to anyone.

I'm the IT manager for my company and I've been doing business with Provantage for over 15 years. They are frequently cheaper than Amazon and items arrive as fast or faster in most cases. The few times I've needed some help with an issue, they have been attentive to the issue and found a way to resolve it, even coordinating with third parties towards that end. They also handle a lot of items that Amazon does not, such as software licensing and hardware service and support renewals. Even in cases where I've been looking for something they don't normally carry, they always seem to have a contact to work with to get it drop-shipped at very good prices. Do your homework, know what you need, and they will get it to you quickly and cheaply.

I have always purchased from Provantage every chance I get. They are a trustworthy company, and have always stood by their products. I have a computer consulting company, and we have been purchasing from Provantage for as long as I can remember. I purchased a Sonicwall Power supply yesterday at 3:00pm and it was at my door at 1:00pm today. Only paid for Ground shipping.
I went out of my way to write this review, because I am very satisfied with their service.

Ordered a item from the website. Item was damaged upon arrival. Wanted pictures to prove damage, but there system will not let the emails with picture files attached go through. Never received a RMA#, found out later on that the product received was not actually the item ordered but a close copy of the actual item.
