Back in 2007, my daughter was involved in the gymnastics recruiting process for the NCAA. She was in contact with Kathy Klages through emails from Canada. Given what transpired at this institution over decades, I can only be eternally grateful that my daughter wasn't accepted for their program and was recruited by a Division I Ivy League University instead.

It's an excellent university with great professors. The technology is extremely modern and always being updated. The picture shown of the computer's in MSU's library. The Internet speed from a hardwired connection (RJ45/Ethernet) is almost always about ~900 megabits down and 900 megabits up. The WiFi, though, is extremely lacking. Ensure you have a nice data plan when you attend.

Michigan State University is a public research university located in East Lansing, Michigan, USA. Founded in 1855, Michigan State University is the first land-grant university in the United States established under the 1862 Land Grants Act and serves as a model for the subsequent construction of the University of the Territory. Formerly known as the Michigan Agricultural College, the school was one of the first higher education institutions in the United States to teach agricultural technology.

As a student with a disability, I can't wait to be done at MSU. I have nothing nice to say about the school or most of its people. I used to be so excited at the idea of going here, now I don't even think this place should be in business bc of the injustice it does to their students. I've never felt such discrimination and poor treatment in my life. Everything is all about getting as much money as they possibly can from you, whether it's through tuition, unjustified vehicle towing/tickets, hidden fees, etc. The second they get your dollar, they couldn't care less about making sure you succeed as a student. No one wants to do anything in a timely manner, be held accountable for their negligence or go out of their way to ensure the right thing is being done. I can only imagine the number of people that had to quit trying to get an education bc of the institution's mistakes. But we should all appreciate the $10 million scoreboard they put in the stadium?! MSU is a disgrace to educational institutions.

Not to stand out like a sore thumb, but my experiences with MSU have never been pleasant. Taking a campus visit I was greeted with rude staff who tried their best to make my day horrible. The students are...how can I say this? Wild animals. The classes are too large for any professor to know you as anything more than a number and the atmosphere is beyond unwelcoming. I'm not sure whether or not I was just caught in a bad day, but as far as I'm concerned I'd rather be studying in Hell. It was THAT bad.

This is Carolyn Kemp and I graduated from State in 1968 and proud of it. But, I am appalled that MSU would host an "Intelligent Design" summit. That should only take place on a religious campus! Who let this happen? May as well discuss "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!"

Beautiful campus to visit , nice floral garden and the dairy store is a must visit , for delicious icecream and visit the museum, as well as a surplus store , were you can find a variety of goods to buy and don't forget to visit Brody Hall for eating at a great price and they had a large BUFFET, that is open to the public and you can park at Kellogg center across the street. And the Warton Center offers great Broadway shows.

MSU has a massive student population and wonderful resources for any interest or passion imaginable. It might be too big for some people, it's easy to get lost in the crowd. Follow your interests, get involved in groups, and you will have a great time while getting educated by excellent faculty members.

I loved the variety of study abroad programs that were available. My experience in Tours, France during the summer of 2002 was absolutely amazing. I also participated in an alternative Spring Break to Quebec City, Quebec. I'm still friends with people from both experiences even ten years out of college. My sister, from the class of '12 went to Valencia, Spain with MSU, and also found it to be a life-changing experience. The campus, especially the North end, is absolutely beautiful. I just love the older buildings, including the Mason/Abbott/Snyder/Phillips complex. That was a great place to live for short walks to class if you were in the College of Arts & Letters. I really enjoyed shopping and hanging out on Grand River while an undergrad as well.

MSU is now deploying random 5-star reviews to compensate for the 1-star reviews that alumni are justifiably leaving in the wake of the Nassar scandal. Update: Now featuring Richard Spencer. Update: Resumed offering bribes to silence victims, courtesy of John Engler. Update: John Engler is still there. Update: John Engler is still there, now silencing victims through Alumni Magazine with Emily Guerrant's assistance. Do what you will.
