Presidente InterContinental Puerto Vallarta Review

I just bought the membership at the Park Royal hotel in Huatulco 2 weeks ago, for work reasons I came to Puerto Vallarta and took advantage of coming to know the facilities and they did not allow me to enter or accredit with my contract number and identification, because we were not hosted or we had a reservation at the hotel. That they would only give me information of the facilities from a balcony where the pools are seen and in addition to the boy who took us to that place that is at the door of the hotel, a security person also came to watch us as if we were criminals. THAT IS NOT VALID. IT COSTS A LOT OF MONEY THE MEMBERSHIP WILL STOP THAT THEY TREAT YOU SO. It didn't take 2 minutes to tell us what the hotel has. How is it possible that you own something and you can't even see it. WE ARE VERY DISTURBED WITH THAT WAY TO PROCEED

Super good attention from the staff. Especially Cesar in the Mexican restaurant Frida and Miguel in the pool area.

Excellent service of the staff, very cordial and attentive, the rooms very well, the very rich foods, in addition to drinks with refil, you can take thermo and with pleasure they fill you (by the way their responsibility with the environment it shows) the pools the beach of the best! Excellent all inclusive! Congratulations to those who make up!

Very good attention: the facilities are missing but I think they left it very well

Staff was very friendly, everything was cleaned on a daily basis, taxis were readily available. Beautiful beach and scenery. The location was quiet compared to other hotels in the center of Puerta Vallarta. Entertainment was great ! Talented musicians and singers.
Cons: we had issues with our toilet system reported it twice, thought it was fixed and it was not..it was leaking and had a strong septic smell. Secondly the spa was closed the entire stay. One elevator was down making it hard to get up to the 8th floor with a bad knee. Food was mediocre and many of the menus in the different restaurants repeated themselves. Alcohol beverages were extremely weak and had to be fixed repeatedly. We picked up trash and plastics from other beach goers quite frequently.

Budget was pretty ok. Few bad dishes here and there. The rooms are extremely nice and there is even a convenience store in the lobby.

It is the second time that this hotel chain disappoints me regarding its pools, they promise you a heated pool but when you arrive they never have it in "operation" very bad experience. Not recommended. However, the only thing that can be rescued is the attention of the staff that I suppose goes beyond making their work excellent. They put themselves in the place of one because of the disgust of the pool, they made the service excellent.

Staff were all wonderful except for trying to change a room. No non -motorized water sports as advertised. No activities or entertainment except for 2 out 6 evenings. No in-room refrigerators or microwaves. Not even cold bottled water anywhere in the hotel. Breakfast buffet had a good variety but pretty much same thing every day. Italian restaurant was good one night and horrible next time. Hard to get change for large pesos......had to go back several times to desk and then could only change small amounts. Pool was so cold nobody hardly could get in it. Beach is very small.. All around was very disappointing. I will never go back there.

The hotel has good facilities and a very nice beach. Undoubtedly, the restaurant "La Trattoria" adds a great touch of elegance to the hotel. I only recommend that the people of Royal Holiday avoid being so insistent with the guests regarding sales.

I spent 3 wonderful nights at the hotel. Yes, they are building a building next door, a kind of "extension" and yes, it can be a bit noisy, but I'm from CDMX and I'm used to hearing a lot much much more noise every day.
The attention of the staff is great! They really do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Especially my congratulations to the waiter Orlando Carbajal and the lobby Barman. I definitely go back

Excellent place, its beauty catches you from the moment you arrive it has an incredible style.
The food is delicious in any of its restaurants, you can be sure that anyone who goes to eat can enjoy its delicious seasoning.

THE COMMENT IS LONG BUT WORTH IT ...

We traveled a family group, made up of 12 people with a wide age range (from 62 to 3), it was my mother's 60th birthday and from Spain and Argentina we decided to find a middle ground to celebrate it, so being Royal members and having excellent previous experiences, decided to know Puerto Vallarta.

The Good, though *:
- The Hotel is remodeled to new, in December they reopened its doors and the truth is that it was beautiful, you do not notice the difference between the new part of the old one,
- The rooms are very spacious, with huge windows with a beautiful view of the sea, it has a very nice private beach.
- Although it is located far from the center, you have the option of the collective / public bus to the center in no more than 15min.
- 90% of the excellent Staff (generally those of lower ranks)
- Apparently a Kid's Club is very fun, the children always wanted to go, and that is a good sign.
- Very good breakfast .... very varied :)

And here begins the asterisk ALTHOUGH, the good, the BAD:
1 - that 10% of the staff who were not excellent in their totality of more rank / area "managers":
- KARLA, from reception: on the few occasions that we made a request, I never presented the willingness to solve the problem. (Most of us come from the hotel / gastronomic sector and we always try to make the guest / client at ease, comfortable, to solve the inconvenience) in this case it does not have the same way of acting.
- MAURICIO, manager of the Mexican and Italian Restaurant, very arrogant and disrespectful, in situations where he would have to try to appease ... he told us here what I say is done, perhaps we were the exact words.
- SAMUEL, from the ROYAL partner area, the best way to define it is SELL SMOKE ...

2- Considered and sold as a Family hotel and far from the city:
- He has no (NONE) aquatic activities to do .... the answer was always let's go .....
- they do not make reservations


- Another of the rich restaurant (El Pescador), only open on weekends (and it may be logical since the hotel was not even 50%)
3- LOW COMMUNICATION, which would have been solved with 4 miserable impressions (one per elevator, everyone communicated and zero complaints!)

- In addition, they did not shy away from telling us that the next day (the third and last day that it was supposedly open) it would be closed for spare parts ...
- Like other of the few services that we do have, such as a gym, massages, a member's room ... AND WHAT SUCH REFACTIONS were made at all times and with an electric hammer, it wasn't painting !! ... they didn't even notice from the siesta time, and from 9 am ... ONE IS NOT GOING TO REST ??
4- one Saturday mid-afternoon they ran out of lager, it's not relevant, but ...
5- compared to other Royals, it does not have first brands of White Drinks ... it is not relevant but ...

I don't think I forget anything ...
It is unfortunate how simple and banal details can be worth taking the time to write and read this comment ...

Let's say it is not what is expected, it is rescued by its beach

It is the best hotel I have visited in Puerto Vallarta.
The beach is super beautiful, the hotel offers activities during the day and they have excellent service.
The food is delicious, my favorite restaurant was the fisherman and Frida.
The buffet offers a huge variety of food and every day is different.
I want to thank all the waiters who attended us in our stay, especially Ricardo, Diego, Orlando, Misael and Elizabet. They attended us in the different hotel restaurants.
Unfortunately we do not have enough time to go to the Italian restaurant but I hope that very soon I will return to this extraordinary place.
Thanks also to the waiters who served us on the beach giving us drinks at all times.

I loved the ocean view the rich food but very little variety

I'm going to be very honest in my opinion regarding this hotel. If what you are looking for is to be served and have a wide variety of food and drinks: this is not the hotel you are looking for.

To begin, they welcome you with a "cordial" welcome offering you a courtesy breakfast because the chain is turning x number of years and they want you to meet them in "90 minutes" but when you say that you are not interested in wasting time on your vacation they become rude and they literally want to force you to attend said breakfast "giving you tours or cash for booths or gasoline." Clear! They also ask you to go with bank cards to said breakfast so that you can enter a raffle. I did not attend that breakfast, because my interest and priority were my vacations and enjoying my family, but from there they make you have an unpleasant time.

At reception, they were unkind and courteous. They never located us about the facilities, restaurants, schedules or activities, they only gave us the cards and bye.

I travel with a companion and my son and they only gave us 2 towel cards (and my son, what?

The room (in my case) was a complete disappointment, it was dirty. The bathroom is completely neglected, it literally looks like a hotel bathroom with a star peck; the bathtub or tub was neglected, chipped and full of scale (it sucks to bathe there), the sink was broken, dirty and with scale, with water leakage.

The service is not great, nor is it lousy; Let's say that the staff does what they can with what they have, but they lack a lot, a lot of staff to be a hotel of the category that they were awarded.

There are no waiters to offer you drinks in the pool, beach or snack bar areas. You literally have to get up and go to the bar, it is worth mentioning that I went in low season and they couldn't even give this service. Obviously, if there was no one to offer you a drink less, there would be someone who would lift so much glass or plates (I had to lift my glasses, which is not annoying but I also had to lift some that were thrown away)

The drinks and snacks in the aforementioned areas are disposable, really? (Ah but the signs to help us conserve the planet and we do not wash towels daily ...) I think you should consider buying plastic plates and cups I think they do not pollute as much as disposable ones.

I asked for an umbrella for the beach which, well, I kept waiting for hours and it never came so I had to go to the pool better, and that there were no people but I can't imagine ...

The food as well as the service is not great but it is not bad either. There is only one specialty restaurant (Italian), I'm not saying it's bad but they could improve a lot. In the buffet there is not much variety of dishes, there is no dessert bar so you have to ask for them and see what there is (in my case the first day there were 3 desserts: mouse, pie or gelatin and on the second day it was gelatin or jelly )

As for the drink, because what looks good on them is water and soda ... because literally their drinks no more, apart from the good luck that there was nothing because surely the warehouse one forgot I requested purchases and there was no Malibu rum, there was no way to make a mojito because there was no mint or spearmint, and so on when I requested common and current drinks that are available anywhere.

Another thing, there is no room service and the lunch schedule ends at 10:30 pm. Literal, if you had dinner that was good and if not you already washed it because there is no more! (And is it an all-inclusive hotel?) This must definitely change.

I am very demanding about everything because I dedicate myself to this, I know what is good and what is not good in tourism for that reason, I do not give second chances and I am so hard and objective with these types of situations.

It saddens me to read that comments like mine, there are many and even sadder that the supposed manager "reads" them And answers and does not put a solution to this, they are improvements for the hotel and the chain that they should take advantage of.

Excellent attention, very good dinners, especially the Italian restaurant

It is a 5 star hotel not so much in the elegant but in the service and cleanliness, excellent staff always friendly and ready to please in everything, in terms of location is 10 minutes from the zoo of Vallarta and 30 minutes from Eden where the movie Predator was filmed, it is 40 minutes from the Airport. Excellent place with very rich buffet and national drinks bar, beautiful ocean view from the balcony 100% recommended recommendable !!!

The facilities are good, the hotel is very discriminatory in every way, children do not go to restaurants, if you do not pay more $ there is no jacuzzi, they attend better to what they are not Mexican, and other things do not have a show, they just say they have it.

As Canadians we typically tip way too much or often but when you look Mexican(and you aren't ) you receive next to nothing for service. The first 2 days we didn't get any service... drinks, meals , service on the beach. We continued to tip and watch the servers serve everyone else but me and my mom(a teacher and retiree). Regardless of race or colour we should receive the same service as white people. Not happy or pleased, we will not come back. They continue to serve people who don't tip with so much attention but don't even offer us coffee. Clean rooms, some nice servers but we derseve more. Still sitting on private beautiful beach....with the server walking right by us every time.

Interesting lodging and food service, with deficiencies in the service of attention to the rooms in food service. (We requested sugar never arrived and the rates for coffee never washed or changed) and an unpleasant odor of sewage.
I hope there will be favorable changes in the next visit.

Wonderful food, very friendly people. Only negative was how pushy the Amstar people were on pushing executions. We took the bus to town and to other small villages. Took a water taxi to Yalapa. Everyone helped us find our way around.

The rooms are nicely updated and clean. Staff is super friendly. Buffet seems to be the same every day, and the food is only luke warm. This gets old quick when you are staying for 10 days. The Fiesta Restaurant is very good, unfortunately it is only open at 7pm. Shout out to Luis our regular server in Fiesta, he is incredibly good at what he does. There is an Italian restaurant, however children under 12 are not welcome. There is no nightly entertainment, so between the hours of 5pm (when the sun done) and 7pm (when dinner is available) there is not much to do. We booked the resort believing there was a spa available, it seems there is a spa in the works but not yet done. They did have massage therapists come around one day and offer massages in the comfort of your own room. We did take this opportunity and the massage therapist was very good. (Gladys was her name and she will be working in the spa when it is up and running.) Location is a ways from town but the Beach and Resort overall is very nice.

A good place to vacation, the beach is spectacular. It is naturally private, the staff's attention is perfect, the rooms with a super view.

Newly remodeled and with the most beautiful beach of the course

Perfect for relaxation away from crowd. Nice beach front, beautiful renovated rooms, friendly staff. Spend time on pool side with your favorite cocktail at the bar or enjoy a nice walk on the gorgeous beach. Downtown is easily accessible by bus or taxi at a reasonable price for a daily escape.

I do not know how the hotel service is, I imagine that very good only that I was looking forward to seeing .. in October I had a reservation and for personal reasons I could not make my trip and I warned in advance and pure excuses so I lost my trip and 14000 pesos tache to the reservation service

Lack of staff, excellent rooms, the Italian and Mexican restaurants VERY GOOD, FEW SAUCERS, but tasty and of good quality, the restaurant the Fisherman NOTHING RECOMMENDED and the one that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner all day, has a good variety, it would give you a 7.5 approx.

I would definitely say judging on past reviews and what I have experienced so far, this place has definitely done it's very best to improve every detail of these reviews. In truth it seems like some people have problems and some don't at this place, but not many have big issues. I have been here 2 days so far and no problems have come up, beautiful views and beach. The water right off the shore is nice for snorkeling. Very good service in the restaurant and buffet. Since the manager is very good at keeping up with these reviews I would add one thing for a suggestion. A workout room would be quite nice, maybe 2 benchpresses, 2 squat racks, a few elypticals or treadmills, and a few assorted dumbbells 5 through 60 pounds would be very nice. Everything has been very nice, awesome views, pretty good food, and good service at the bars. Would come back for sure, at the rate this place is improving it will go up to 4.5 star and higher soon.

Contemporary hotel, spacious and comfortable rooms, good restaurant variety of food, two bars with a good variety of wiskey wines, tequila, rum and well-stocked bar, friendly staff management, clean room, good and early excellent sea view with balcony in restaurant I found the better service, Karen, Gerardo, Jesus, Raul, Salvador and Arturo, profecionales people in their work if they ask me if I return If and also I recommend it for all those who wish to spend a good vacation.

Unforgettable landscapes beautiful spectacular sunset

It is very small, it has no activities, the restaurants are buffet. It has 2 small pools. The bar does not have a variety of drinks and the attention of the staff is good in room, lobby and beach but not in pools.
