I recently purchased an Asus gaming laptop online from Computer Alliance that was delivered interstate. This was my first purchase from this store. Pricing was very good and the assistant manager Craig and his internet sales team assisted promptly and accurately with several of my initial queries. The laptop arrived intact via courier within 3 days. I have recently completed setup and am very happy with the product and the purchasing experience. I would have no hesitations recommending this store to others. Thanks guys.

I had ordered with Computer Alliance over a year ago, and experienced issues with the product so I returned it. I had recently tried to place an order with them again, although received a call and they said that my account was "on hold" and "there must have been some incident" that happened in the past, they said they could process my order if "i didn't do that again" (which could only be referring to the item i returned, even though it went smoothly). When I finally went to pick up the item I was told there was some error and it was out of stock, even though my order was confirmed ready for collection? Disgusting customer service, also can be quite overpriced. Go to Umart instead.
Great service from Benny recently with a power issue on my ASUS, he also helped me with computer speed issue with a more modern hard drive at a reasonable price.
This is my third ASUS from these guys over 10 years or so, I don't go anywhere else
I really want to buy a computer case from Computer Alliance, however Josh told me that you can't actually inspect the cases prior to buying them, and if you do buy a case, and you don't like it, then you can return it for a 20% purchase fee, which for a $300 case if nearly $60! To return a case you might not like.. that you can't even see in the first place. mindblown.... How many people just blindly buy cases from looking at the pictures online? :/
One of best places to buy IT gear. Shopped at CA for some years now, always competitive, always prompt and they truly deliver what they promise. A rare find....
I have been shopping here for years, great prices and the after sales service is second to none. The system I purchased five years ago wouldn't start so I took it in and the very helpful fellow at the service counter said it could be oxidized ram pins, he gave them a clean and all was fixed, all for no charge, I will always recommend them.
Lazy customer service. I purchased a $1200 monitor from Computer Alliance online which had dead pixels on the screen. When I drove to the store to drop it off for a refund, I waited almost a week for the refund to be processed, and only after numerous calls reminding them of my refund. Each time I called I was put on hold for 5-10 minutes while someone was "fetched from upstairs" only to be told that it would either take several days or that the person that was meant to process my refund was unavailable. I was told to expect a call which never came and so when I called again I was told the refund was processed today, on the sixth day, and to check my PayPal balance. PayPal transactions are almost instantaneous and I got a notification of my refund almost as soon as the phone was picked up. The service desk literally processed my refund before they answered my call and then told me it was processed today. This is the laziest and most unprofessional customer service experience I've ever had.
Customer service was excellent. On two occasions and over the phone I was treated with courtesy and clarity. Helpful advice was given for purchases and a return was painless and in full. Nice work guys.
Most unprofessional supplier I have ever dealt with. Called them up because we have a site down in QLD, advised they would make arrangements and send me quote. After not receving a quote in the morning I followed and they advised would not sell product to me, because of payment method. Now I have a site that is still down and have lost a whole day because of their unprofessionalism, I guess they don't want business from national companies, why I continue to shop with Scorptec and PLE. #amateurs
Easy online ordering. Prices are comparable to other stores. Very busy on weekends, so you can be waiting a while to be served. Ample parking in front of the store.
GG Umart and technology. Computer Alliance is solid service with reasonable prices, a great store and friendly staff. I never feel like I'm wasting their time when I'm talking to them
Large well stocked, clean and organised store. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service guys were able to help me on the spot and I was in and out in no time at all. Would recommend highly. Thanks for your help!
I'm so impressed with these guys! I bought the wrong speakers (didn't do my homework) and the service I received re the refund was impeccable, even though it was all my fault! Will def shop here again when I need to
Two of my Toshiba laptops (discounted) were absolutely awful. The first of two lasted three days before it refused to turn on. The replacement lasted a good three years but found out this morning (after the screen refused to display a picture) that the entire time, it wasn t shutting down properly and was a major fire hazard.
Not happy with the service. They sent my PC to the wrong address, despite me telling them my new address 2 times. Got my PC eventually over a week late. Asked for a discount, got none. If you use these guys make sure they have your current address, you might have to do this 3 times. Bit disappointing, I've used these guys for years and this is the first problem I've had with them. Goodluck.
[Edit - after calming down, I confess the new PC does run like a dream, and they were helpful with a few issues I had, so I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. I would say what level of service you get comes down to the individual sales person you get on the day. I've had more positive experiences with them than negative. ]
Live in Melbourne, ordered this setup 2 weeks ago and it finally arrived and wow, totally worth the wait. Would recommend Computer Alliance to anyone looking to purchase anything they need for their PC/laptop's. Competitive price, kind and fast customer service and speed all in one. Thanks Computer Alliance :) .
Once you have problems with the items you purchased, their service is far behind JB-HIFI, Bing Lee standards. I would suggest people to shop in JB-HIFI otherwise you won't get a new replacement or money refund when there are problems with the items.
Been a customer since 2010 when they custom built a business desk top, still in daily use, good prices for branded products, easy to talk to, good communications for items not yet in stock, efficient deliveries, overall a credible reliable supplier.
Went there last night to have some suggestions on what to do with my laptop as I am having troubles on performing day to day tasks. Whilst was a busy time of the day, customer service revealed to be just outstanding. Tim helped me to identify the issue I was experiencing with my laptop and checked online solutions for the best price. He genuinely cares, lots of knowledge and he was working with passion. Highly recommended, will go back.
When you call a computer shop, rarely do you get someone asking "How can I help?" but this is exactly what I received when calling Computer Alliance to check for stock before popping in. Pleased to say their in-store service was just as helpful and friendly. The guy was even smiling....unreal... Far better service than I've ever received from competitors in Brisbane. Good range of stock, and their pricing for my router was identical to Umart and MSY. Bonus points for being open on a Sunday.
Absolutely disgraceful customer service. As a business owner, if any of my employees were half as rude as what I experienced here, I'd sack them. Good bye!
I have been a customer of CA for over 10 years now, and have always had positive experiences with them. I've purchased 2 higher end laptops and built 3 gaming PCs from their components. Not to mention the countless peripherals and parts for upgrades that I bought over the years. Their range is great and the prices are always competitive and may be a fraction higher than some other places, but the biggest selling point for me is that CA offer 24-36mts warranty on most of their products, whereas their slightly cheaper competitors only offer 12. In the world of electronics, which can often be temperamental the extra 1-2 years of warranty is worth the $5-$10 price difference. In my dealings with CA, I've always found their sales and service staff to be friendly and knowledgeable about their products.
I went into their store in the hopes of trying out some Wacom tablets. The staff tend to ignore you until you speak up. But after that, they were really quite helpful and friendly. They do know their stuff and are able to help you make a decision if you are on the fence about something. I would definitely go back again.
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Prices are very competitive. Everything you want and need computer wise is there. Good parking off Logan Rd. You go there once and you come back.
Never had a problem until something went wrong. I work in IT support and have done for the last 10 years. I ran all checks and provided the store with the links where AMD admitted to the issue with no resolution as of yet for the 5700 GPU and advised the store that the card would show no faults this is a software/driver issue on AMDs side. I wanted to check the process as I handed the card in to be tested even though as I had told them the card was functioning and would show no fault if tested, so I called up to be spoken to in an abrupt and very rude manner on the phone, so then went back in as didnt appreciate the way I had been spoken to, the same person came out to talk and yelled at me! Then told us that he doesn't care what the ACCC says as their rules superceded this and if they can't find a fault we'd be charged $50 and couldn't give a refund as what are they going to do with a faulty card! Only by sending a ACCC complaint letter did I get action and a full refund. If this had gone differently I would of spent the extra money in store to exchange for a 2070 super, instead now I am going elsewhere to buy and advising all my IT contacts not to shop here.
Terrible customer satisfaction:( i pay for a brand new MSI Gaming laptop but they give me a non sealed and also the warranty seal of the laptop is already been tampered. I must say don't ever buy online on this company. I tried to contact the sales person who assisted me buying this laptop but they didn't answer or response to my emails and calls. It took 2 weeks before they dispatch my order even if it's fully paid and also they sent it to a wrong address. They just prove that they're not willing to fix or solve those issues. i just want to warn all of you before planning to buy on this store. I hope this kind of service will end. I'll never gonna buy again on this store :(
Best customer service I've ever received! I initially emailed and Anthony replied promptly to answer my question, despite being 5 minutes before close. I ordered a custom build PC, transitioning over from Apple computers and he guided me through every step, answered every silly question I had and even showed me around Windows 10. I felt as if I was their only customer and felt extremely valued. I will never go anywhere else for computing again! They even carried my monitor to the car for me.
Some staff seemed to just read off the label rather than know their stuff. Even when I'd ordered an item online and went to pick it up the guy who served me brought out the wrong item and I had to correct him before he rung it up.
It's like walking into the tardis, it's bigger then it looks. Great range of products and competitive prices. Staff were really helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. The complex is a pain to get into on the weekend (and during peak time), but there's heaps of parking out the front.
Based on my first experience the staff were very rude, which seems consistent with the vast majority of reviews. I only ended up buying the product, because I was unable to find it anywhere else on such sort notice. Anyway, will be going there tomorrow to see if they have improved.
Great place for computer products. The few times i have been in there the customer service was great. However the last time I was there I encountered an arrogant, condescending smart ass that wasn't much help. Wouldn't listen to my explanation of the part I needed for my computer and told me I was wrong about what I needed. He ended up selling me the wrong part and i ended up taking it back and buying what i needed online. If you see a guy with a beard and tattoos stay away from him.
Most rude, unhelpful and disrespectful staff. Crap service, can never get the order right and just hope that you don't have to use their service department!!!
Upon entering the store, i waited 5-10minutes, no-one even acknowledged me. All i required was a price check on a shelf item and was ready to purchase. I noticed an unattended computer station in the middle of the floor with the stores webpage already open as to suggest that it is for use. No sign, no login required, no caution tape, nothing to suggest otherwise. I proceeded to use this terminal to lookup the items i needed, then all of a suddent accross the room a mature male with grey/white hair proceeded to shout at me saying 'thats for staff only'.
As a business owner and a qualified pc technician for over 20yrs, i find the attitude of the worker representing this company extremely rude and disrespectful, not only to myself and the other clients in the store but to the industry as well. His manner of approach is completely unjustified considering there is nothing to suggest the public were not allowed to use the terminal, aside from a barking dog.
He was also in the middle of helping someone, so rather than asking can i help you with something and being professional he took the disgruntled approach and made the person he was helping feel uncomfortable as well.
Through further investigation i found their products to be overpriced to the competition, enough to not be worth considering.
After this experience, i will not be visiting this computer company for any reason, nor recommending them for anything. Previous reviews also support this review.
I've been shopping here for years. They are not the cheapest, but they are not expensive. And they make up for it with service quality. I don't feel like I am buying out of somebody's garage like I do at some other computer places.
I purchased a Razer Blackwidow keyboard and Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma for a really cheap price! Not only that but I am enormously happy with the way they work!
I got a notebook fixed under warranty. The service from Adrian was excellent .. above and beyond. I also found this level of service when I dealt with other staff (Sean). Thanks guys - really appreciated your help.
Shane was amazing over the phone, i have been trying to find the base station to my arlo cameras for a while now and he went above and beyond to help me. Thanks Shane
I was there the other day and seems like one of the staff were having a bad day and treated me rudely (tell me to do my own research and come back, after he asked me questions, LOL) . However, I went to the other staff and he was really helpful.
Bought a headset to realise it wasn t compatible with my Xbox One (didn t know whatsoever until it was delivered). Tried to get in contact with someone for a return and refund, have received no contact whatsoever and no replies to my emails, which means that the 14 day refund/return is now expired. Absolutely awful customer service and I m now stuck with a useless headset. Don t buy from them especially if you live in anywhere that isn t Queensland (I m in Victoria).
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!! The sales guy who served us was rude and arrogant. We spent more than $1000 in a laptop he was anyway treating us as we were pieces of *...
Great price and great service once you have figured that you have to line up in the checkout line to get served. The sales team know their stuff and don't over sell products. In fact they saved me $400.00 on an identical specced machine.
Bought a Monitor here, faulty after 6 months of use, took over a month and over 20 emails to get anywhere. It's not a minor fault but they won't believe me, keeps saying its minor so they will fix it. How is over a month a minor issue? Avoid!
Went to the shop had a look around, wanted to buy a $2k gaming PC. Sat down at one of the computers to have a look at some parts to get an idea of some pricing. Then one of the elderly sales consultants came over and said in a very annoyed/frustrated tone of voice "Those computers are for sales staff only" instead of asking "is there anything I can help you with?" In polite and friendly tone.
Just wanted to let management know that's exactly how you lose a $2k + sale. Further to that... My partner bought a gaming PC from there and the exact same salesman tried to undersell her from a $2.5k PC down to a $1.3k PC up the point where he was being forceful and pushy to go for the cheaper PC - what that makes the customer feel is that they are being undermined when they know what they want...
I am in sales too and that's no way to deal with clients that are actively making an effort to come into your shop for a service and then not getting it.
Chris is a bloody legend. He gave a comprehension explanation of his thought process behind buying a certain product. He fact checked himself, admitted when he didn't know something, and he strove to solve our problem rather than just selling us something.
From now on I'm boycotting Umart and going to Computer Alliance.
