Outstandingly amazing. Ordered a new pc and had it built within the same week. Customer service was amazing. When I needed a serial number one of the guys jumped in a bin to have a look for me. Couldn't have asked for more nice nor helpful people. It was amazing. 10/10 recommend.

Unfortunately this store is let down by their public facing staff, as I can definitely relate to negative reviews left by other people. On multiple occasions I've attempted to purchase different items from their eBay store and have been met with unprofessional service, sarcastic replies and deceitful sales staff tactics, including but not limited to: improper manipulation of listings, modifying stock levels before and after eBay sales, being told by phone sales staff that they don't manage their eBay store therefore they cannot assist with issues related to eBay.

Very bad. Bought a new computer from these people. But full of fault. Informed several times but said it has no problems. Found the error by a qualified computer shop. After this only they accepted the fault.Very hard to deal.Just doing business with the acquired name but actually many times try to cheat or force their own views rather than accepting the truth. Good for lectures on products. Never go again. Changed my computer shop to a different one.

Been using these guys for PC parts for a few years now, sales guys are always helpful, prices are also always really good. What I like about this place instead of going to others really is the sales staff, even tho I know my stuff, it's good to always have a chat with others that do as well, rather than just collecting parts and going.

I have bought from this shop in the past and they ...

I have bought from this shop in the past and they have had great staff with great service and knowledge however I went in today and was not impressed. I entered the store and was greeted by a staff member who took me over to a sales desk. I went into the store knowing exactly what I wanted as I do know a lot about computers. I acted as if I didn't know what I wanted to "test" what the staff members customer service and knowledge was like, since the last time I visited the store where the experience was great.

Firstly I told him the case I wanted which was the corsair 900D. He looked it up on their stock system and they had them in stock which was great. I asked if he could do a better price or match a price of a competitor. Without checking or hesitation he said he could not bring the price down and made up excuses in-relation to matching prices with competitors which really pissed me off. In the past staff members said if I see another retailer offering the same product at a better price they usually match it or beat it without hesitation. I showed him a site which has a store in AU which had a better price. Then with a sigh he hopped up and went and asked his boss and came back with $4.00 off the RRP. By this time I was getting quite frustrated and said that would have to do.

Secondly I wanted to get some information and possibly buy a PSU. It was quite obvious that this staff member had little to no knowledge of computer products in general. He spent a while searching through his system reading the descriptions of products in-depth to see if it matched my needs. Long story short I did not buy a PSU from the store. When it came time to pay there were multiple customers around the counter which was normal. There was a customer before me who was supposedly getting attended to. The sales person who sold me my items came back from the warehouse with the case and interrupted the person before me to get his sale done. Both myself and the person ahead were less than impressed.

Overall the service was terrible from this particular sales person as they obviously had little computer knowledge and poor customer service. It seemed like he was working in a car-yard or real estate agent as all he wanted was the commission. He was treating me like fool and I definitely knew it. There were one or two other sales persons in the store at the time who seemed a bit "geeky" (I really do not mean this in a bad way) and I would of much rather dealt with them as it was obvious that they had a good knowledge of computers and had decent customer service skills.

The sales-staff all dress professionally however this does not make up for the lack of knowledge and service, looks aren't everything. The computer alliance team might find this post "funny" however it was pretty obvious that your business has fallen since the last time I was there due to your staff's in-experience.

At the moment I would NOT recommend this shop unless changes are made to increase sales-persons customer service, knowledge and professionalism. If computer-alliance wishes to contact me, please contact me in writing as I will not answer your calls.

Went in to buy a router, and they would not honour the price sticker on the item in question, and said the correct price is on the website and it fluctuates daily. The assistant say it must have been a mistake, but given there were 5 identical items all with the same sticker price you would have to wonder. I think a call to consumer affairs is in order.

never deal with them again, off to MSY

I was in a rush to buy a laptop for work and accidentally bought the wrong model (not the one I intended to buy from my research etc) and didn't realise until about two weeks later. These guys let me return the computer that I had bought and exchange it for the one initially wanted. I was more than happy to then spend another couple of hundred dollars in accessories. The sales staff did feel slightly awkward to talk to though, and the mistake probably wouldn't have happened if they had just had a conversation with me in the first place. It's easy to get model numbers confused, but a good business model is clearly in place to facilitate this.

Real CRAPPY experience buying online! On the day of purchase I made a BPay payment (rock solid for both of us), as Computer Alliance wanted to charge a 1% surcharge for paying online with a Credit Card. Got a confirmation email saying my order was successfully processed.

On the following Saturday I drove across town to pickup in-store & the disengaged assistant wouldn't release the lappy as the BPay TFR hadn't hit Computer Alliance's bank account. The attitude was in the context that it was all my problem.

My problem is that it's the weekend and I have neither my money, nor the lappy. You'd think a computer business could build an informative shopping cart process!

Quite horrendous customer service. As an OpenCL programmer of 9 years, I'd consider myself well versed in GPUs but that didn't stop a couple of these guys from directing their patronising and ill informed viewpoints at my intended purchase. "I don't think you understand what you're buying", said one of them. I find that arrogance interesting since I develop algorithms for an investment bank and they work in a hole in the wall.

I suggest voting with your dollars and going elsewhere. I cancelled the purchase and left.

Like yeah this is Australia and we've been conditioned to accept bad service these days as a general rule but c'mon seriously have managers completely forgotten how to train and discipline sales staff and secretaries at the front counter? These are front line people were talking about.. did common sense get thrown out the window? No worries CA - destroy your own business there's plenty of other places to buy computers and parts.

Went in last weekend looking to drop around 3 grand on a gaming PC, pending their response to some of the negative reviews on here (which all seem to be around aftercare). I did 3 complete laps of the store over 15 minutes - no one made eye contact or seemed interested in selling to me. To be fair, there were a couple of other customers being attended to but after the stellar reviews on customer service, I thought I would have at least warranted a Can I help you? . I had a baby with me so maybe that put them off. On closer inspection, alot of thise positive reviews are highly suspect. Generic names with only one or two reviews on their profile. Try the IT shop at Indooropily - they are serious about their gaming PC s.

What happened to this place??? The staff are extremely rude now. Anything you want to buy seems to come with an insult.

I have spent over 10k in the last few years here and have always suggested it as the first port of call to my friends.

That's going to change from now.

I find computer alliance great to deal with. Yes I have stood in queues for a long time, but that means they are busy and you are not busy if you offer bad service frequently. I have bought systems in the past one of which had issue and they stood by me and fixed it - no arguments, just had to wait a little longer. Good job guys.

Ordered a computer to be built on Friday, was told it would be ready on Tuesday. Heard nothing from them, called them up Tuesday afternoon, told that they had to order in some parts and weren't sure how long it would take. I called every day after that for more information (because they gave such little information throughout). Finally told on the following Friday that it would be built by Saturday noon and they asked me not to call again, they would call when it was ready for pick up. Didn't hear from them so I called at 1PM on the Saturday and they told me it was ready for pick up (no one had bothered to let me know, as usual). I rocked up, they took me through the system, realised one of their lackies had installed the operating system onto the wrong hard drive (not the SSD). Told to come back in 10 minutes, I gave them half an hour and they still weren't done. Another 15 minutes later my computer was ready for pickup. Never offered an apology or an explanation. My computer is not just for gaming, I run a business from home. I lost four days worth of work thanks to these bozos. Absolutely slow, useless and unapologetic for their awful service. Never called me once regarding any of the above, I had to call to find out what was going on and when the computer was actually ready. Stay away at all costs.

like paying someone to treat you like an idiot? how about them selling you something without telling you it was open and used? like not getting a refund? waiting in line when NONE IS THERE.? then this is the place for you! or you can just shop at PC case gear, umart or MSY which are CHEAPER and nicer

Update, if anyone is getting screwed by this store have a look at the australian consumer law, if they have violated it get a lawyer, get your money back or have them shut down. watch the checkout show on the australian consumer law to have an easier understanding of how it works. such a scum business should not exist

Bought a desktop from them about a year ago, paid about two grand. Had a few running issues with it. Eventually crashed, took it back under warranty. Very rude ,smart-alec service guy. Took about a month to fix. Crashed again after a few weeks . this time out of warranty. Took it to another repair shop, said hard drive was not formatted correctly and some dodgy cabling. Bit rough when I paid top dollar ,thought I was getting something decent. Wouldn't go back anyway when staff are rude. Never again Look else where.

I recently ordered online for in store pickup. Five minutes after completing the order, I received the ready for collection email. That was in stark contrast with my earlier experience at another Brisbane computer store! Upon arrival, my order was ready for pickup and I did not have to wait at all.
I was impressed with the service.
I will be happy to return to computeralliance.com.au

Great range of products, good amount of display laptops, the service is great, however you'll most likely not be able to bargain the price, but they do have one of the best prices around.

Staff are very nice and have good level of humor, and try their best to help me the process for you easier. Including removing surcharge, reducing as much price as they can, and help carry items to your vehicle.
Most staff also have a great understanding of each product, so it's easy to get actual recommendations that isn't based on price but their own opinions.

Replacement processes have been easy and smooth so far, no fuss, just bring in the product, and they inspect it and check warranty, and replace it on the spot if they have it in stock with no further question asked.

5/5 would recommend, but I really wish they would add a loyalty system or members, for the people that have bought lots of products and spent over several thousands in store every year.

Overall very good. I have bought multiple machines with no great dramas. If I had any issue, and it is minor, then it would be there response times for service can blow out. Not a problem with a gaming machine but an issue if its the business machine.

Purchased a laptop online and after receiving it, I immediately realised it wasn't what I was after. I accept that was my mistake. However, because it was unused by me, I arranged to visit the store to get a credit to purchase a replacement laptop (a $300 more expensive laptop). When paying, I was charged a further $130 as a repackaging fee for the original laptop I'd brought back. As a returning customer (with intentions to continue my association with Computer Alliance), to be charged this fee was disappointing to say the least and I won't be returning!

Unfortunately my expectations were not met by the store. I ordered and paid for a $2,200 custom system on 30 June 2020. Customer rep advised the system would be ready for dispatch on 3rd July. All items were in stock when the order was made. I sent 3-4 emails (1 on Friday, 2 on Saturday plus left 2 messages on their page on fb - all with no response at all) enquiring about the status of my order because I didn't receive any notification after i made the payment. On Monday (July 6th) they finally responded saying that the system was about to enter the build queue on Monday or Tuesday (when it should already be in my house!!!) but the mobo I ordered was now out of stock and that i should replace it with another one in order for the build to move forward. I said that this is unacceptable as at the time of order all items were in stock! Rep started making excuses about some other order's mobo failing so they had to replace it and then there was no mobo left for my order...unprofessional excuses...the worst thing is no one bothered to notify me about all this! Long story short, bad customer service, no communication at all, I had to chase them up all the time, very slow to respond and from my experience the website 3-day assembly and dispatch claims (when everything is in stock) is totally misleading. Asked for a refund and will shop somewhere else. I found them totally unprofessional and will avoid in the future.

Good price and good products. Just a shame the wait is so long and the customer service is abit all over the show. No one looks like they know what they are doing. A catalogue in store would make the experience heaps nicer. Gotta know what you want before you get there.
