I purchased a Large Monitor from the store and realized the power cord was faulty, (I had tested it with Multimeter), I also tested the Monitor using my laptop power cable, which worked alright. So I called them next day after work, telling the guy on the phone that I need to bring the power cord to be replaced. He basically told me that first I should test the faulty cable on another equipment to be sure it is faulty. I could not believe what I was hearing. I reminded him that I purchased the Monitor less than 24 hours ago. He insisted that I should use their faulty cable on one of my equipment. I told him that I am not comfortable to use a bad power cable on another equipment. He then told me with frustration that I should bring the whole lot back to store. and they need to test the cable and if it takes 2 hours then I should wait. And I said what if it takes longer he said then it takes longer. I tried to say that I only purchased this yesterday, but could not finish my sentence because he hung up on me. I called back and was told again to bring it back for testing. So I took the power cord (only) with my Multimeter to the store and tested it in front of their service man and had a replacement in my hand soon after. I did tell the service man that their sales people should not suggest to unsuspecting people to test faulty equipment at home.
Over all a bad experience for no reason at all. The shop is happy to take your money but once you are out of the door they don't want to know about you!, and they do charge extra for using credit card.
Their price is average, so I will think twice before going there again

A Waste of Time - The service is absolutely pathetic, the stock they carry is fine,knowledge passable, pricing ok - but the people skills of these entitled and arrogant staff is beyond poor.
I actually made the mistake of giving them a second try.... my bad NEVER AGAIN.

Do Not Go There. All salesperson there are very arrogant, especially Josh and Britt. Additionally, this store has no warranty for customer of all components offers at all. The price for PC components are higher by 10~20% compared with other local computer store. They will also trick you with ambiguity of the manufacture price and retail price. You will pay higher there for nothing certainly.

I recently visited this store in hopes to purchase my laptop. The product and price were reasonable and had no problems there. But the service is downright terrible. We waited for 10 minutes to be served yet, no one attended to us. I then had to call by phone to put the laptop on hold. The next day, when I purchased the laptop, I wanted to ask some basic questions. the man serving us ignored me and my father like he never heard us. I think they need to drastically do something about their customer service skills. I feel like they have a problem towards coloured people like myself. They are seem very rude, unapproachable and unhelpful.

Based on my one experience shopping online with Computer Alliance I wish I could give this store more stars.
I ordered on Friday from QLD and it arrived on Monday in Melbourne, quicker than a Melbourne company managed to get a mousepad to me and I had ordered that on Wednesday.
Big thanks to Will for the top notch communication skills and for getting it shipped out so soon, the Huntsman Elite feels AMAZING.

Ordered a couple of times, and always had excellent service and delivery. placed my most recent order this morning and received it this afternoon, super fast same day delivery to Brisbane. Superb!

Changed my review, my computer runs (which is expected from a place you bought an item from) however the after sales support is beyond bad.

I ordered a laptop with specifically a note saying if the item could not arrive prior to a certain date, do not send as I was overseas. Computer alliance ignored this and sent it anyway.

Following this they refused to refund me the money until the item had been returned (even though again it should not had been sent in the first place and I wasn't there to send it back), so the gentleman at the other side said he would put in a request to get it sent back.

A month goes by, no refund. I again question this and they said it must have fell through the cracks.

My reply was simple, why wasn't this chased up? And I got no reply. Again asked for a refund, this time they replied and refused again till they got their item back.

6 weeks past, still no refund, was paid on credit card, now I got hit up with interest. Lodged a complaint with PayPal, PayPal decided in my favour because computer alliance did not even bother replying to PayPal either.

Just avoid these guys if you do online orders.

PS My mother is still waiting on a reply because before this happened I recommended them for another laptop (3 computer) and she is still waiting for a reply also.

Ordered some drawing tablets for Christmas. Initially, things looked good and on schedule. Unfortunately, Couriers Please lost the package after an attempted delivery. Contacted courier and they tried but could not locate package. Quickly referred back to Computer Alliance. From there, Computer Alliance either did not react or postponed any reaction. Could not get any resolution and they were more than willing to wait for a courier audit. With time running out, I decided to escalate with PayPal. That is what made a difference. Just a few days before Christmas, the package was located and I went to pick it up. I had proposed before they found the package that they either give me a refund or ship me replacement product. They would not budge. The only offer they shared was to buy the product again (for around $1300) and eventually get a refund on the first product shipment. This whole situation was so unprofessional and almost made it so the presents were not ready for Christmas. I had been a loyal customer for at least 10 years with many systems bought with them. It is a shame but I have decided to stop using them. Not sure what is going on with the management. Had thought it was more about service than just they money. The warning is this: hope that everything goes well for your delivery. If it does not go well, be sure to use PayPal at the start and get ready to go through the process of issuing a complaint. Good luck.

Best place to look for all range of computers, PC components and price are fair. Services and sales staff excellent and friendly as long you know what your looking for and have open mind.

They advertise they have stock and they don't actually have it. If need something on time ORDER ELSEWHERE. They admitted to reading and not bothering to respond to my message asking where the delivery was as it was late. When asked "so where is this item?" Answer: "they are looking in the shop for it but its lost what do you want me to do about it?" it had been four days surely they had not been looking for four days. Just con men. No responsibility is taken.

These guys built a PC for me and this thing is great, but I would go back for the sales team alone. I walked in about half an hour before they closed and my card wouldn t let me pay because it was over my daily limit. These guys waited for me to call up my bank, stay on hold for like 10 minutes, and change my daily limit. I was probably super annoying and that guy but they smiled throughout the whole process and even helped me carry my products out to my car. They re a great team and I couldn t be happier.

I have a lot of experience when it comes to buying PCs and peripherals and these guys are pretty good at their jobs in relation to advice etc. with their prices being on the average side. I prefer other more helpful, less stuck up providers but they are OK in a pinch. One warning however, they are really, really stuck on process, which is great until inflexible overkill takes over. I was given advice which resulted in me getting the wrong'ish' product, when I called the next day, their salesman was very helpful and resolved it for me. Yaay! I sent someone down to return the wrong item and pick up the correct items, there was a $5 difference which was supposed to go back on my card but instead they put it as a store credit. I rang them to say a store credit is no use to me but as my salesman wasn't there, they told me I had to call back next week to speak to him. I asked for the manager and I was told that the manager would not fix this problem. You read that right the MANAGER will not authorise a $5 credit to be put back on my card. I remember having an awkward experience years ago when I helped a friend buy an expensive kitted out rig from them. They got stuck up about something and were really inflexible and in my opinion, unreasonably so. So my experience has been that these guys are good only if everything goes according to plan.

P.S. Chris Ball was very friendly and helpful. Others should take lessons from him on how to speak to customers and how to conduct themselves professionally.

Was eventually given a full refund for the return of the ASUS monitor and have in turn upgrade the store from 1 Star to 3. Not sure I would return here but it does appear that store returns policy is a greater hindrance to the service department than the staff themselves. Would recommend making yourself fully aware of fault/ returns policies prior to purchasing.

Stay away from these guys and ASUS monitors. Dodgy panel well within the warranty period. Do not trust the warranty periods this company will quote you, you will not get a replacement product unless it is within 2 months of purchase. It will be sent away and cost your own time and money. Need you monitor for work? Tough. "You should've bought a HP with 1 day service" straight from the service managers mouth.

The guys here were extremely helpful. The wait time was minimal and the price very fair.
Good selection of floor stock to browse whilst waiting.
Only downside is that the store becomes tight when crowded with people.

Competitive pricing without the impersonality of some other Brisbane stores. Staff are very helpful. While I was there, one of the staff spent the whole time on the phone doing after sales support and was very calm, patient and never once condescending.

The staff at computer alliance, from the manager to the service staff to the sales guys were all very helpful with a recent defective network product I bought from them which broke after many months. .... They went above and beyond in seeking recompense for me from the manufacturer with a happy outcome.

Slow service, didn't actually have stock of things listed as in stock on the website, then refused to sell me the few products I needed which they actually had on hand unless I provided all my personal information, they tried to argue that they didn't honour their legal obligations under consumer law unless I gave them my personal details. I walked out. Had ordered what I needed from other vendors within 20 minutes. Will not shop again.

I buy all my computer equipment from this company. They have everything at the best prices and the service is amazing. Recently my new MSI notebook had a system failure during a large update. I took it in and had it back working perfectly that afternoon. No charge of course. I have sent back my computer to computer Alliance for repair 4 times within 4 month after I bought it !! I hope this time , the management will take extra care of those endless problems. Otherwise , I must make a serious complain in Tribunal.

However, i recently picked up my desktop PC that was in for an upgrade, got home, switched it on and it reported something along the lines of "CPU 0 fan failure". So i thought 'hack did these guys do now'. I shut down and opened up the PC and realised the CPU cooler was not connected to power at all, and on top of that the whole thing smelt of burning plastic and heated metal. A bit disappointing that they did not test it properly before giving it back. If I had ran it for a few more minutes in that state the whole thing would have been toast.

I was a bit reluctant to visit this place after reading the reviews, however I'm glad I did. I went in on a Sunday and the service was the best I've encountered in a very long time at any retailer. The bloke that served me was courteous, helpful and thorough. It was busy at the checkout initially, but there were quite a few people in there at opening time along with me. The queue soon depleted after the initial rush. I'm pleased I decided to visit despite the reviews.

Phoned up to ask if they had a power adapter in stock. They didn't. Fine you can't stock everything, no problem.
What I have an issue with is that the guy on the other end of the phone then proceeded to try to convince me that no such thing exists, and that I need to buy a new PSU instead.
Suffice to say I hung up and ordered it on ebay. It arrived, works fine, and these goobers should stop trying to rip people off.

Absolutely horrible staff... I mean... It was so bad that it's almost funny. The man at the front ensures that they treat you more like an infectious disease than a customer. I observed him scald an older gentleman for stepping outside his "COVID box". The man was clearly rattled and the staff member seemed to be enjoying the power trip far too much... That's no way to treat customers mate... Pull your head in.

I believe they make warranty returns deliberately difficult to deter you from exercising your rights under the ACL... And the attitude and tone from both sales and support is uncalled for. Though I'll give credit to Ben for finally coming to a workable solution for me. They want to have your part/system in a queue for 10 business days before they even look at it, instead of just booking it in for 10 days time. For a tech store... Surely they can manage a queue system.

This shop was good 10 years ago. I bought my first PC here in 2005. I like to support shops that are good to me but I'll be taking my business to Umart from now on.

Extremely disappointing service. Was supplied a faulty hard drive and sent back for refund/replacement.
On their receipt of the Hard Drive it was damaged by Australia Post, minor damage to the plastic housing but unrelated to the hard drive being faulty it self. During the journey of waiting for an answer if the Hard Drive warranty will be honored Computer Alliance advise that if it is not honored I will not see any refund and that I will bare the full cost despite the fact they have supplied a faulty product. Finally received resolution that the warranty will be honored however I am expected to cover the cost of the minor damage from transport; my complaint to covering their incompetence was heard and they decided to cover the cost.

Always good service if you're on the ball with PC hardware, take my review with a grain of salt if you're a layman though, cause I'm not sure how they treat the average consumer. Only way to find out is to go there :)
