It's not for everyone but we enjoyed it a lot. Some things you can't really put a price tag on, it's an experience , or else just fine something on airbnb which is value for money if that's what you are looking for

We were at Palazzo Versace for a high tea in the Vanitas restaurant, during the week it is only $65 per person which is excellent value given the amount and quality of both the food and drinks. Would highly recommend.
SHOCKING!! The most shocking hotel in the world! not clean Disgusting breakfast - no vegetables - There was not one time we had towels in the room! A disgusting behavior from the hotel staff In short, do not book a room!
For one, the lack of privacy in the room is shocking, the bathroom & toilet are not separated, the shower & toilet have doors that don't go all the way up, so if you want to go to the toilet your room mate will be able to hear and smell everything.. How disgusting.. Secondly, beware of their charges, they apply unauthorised holding amounts to your credit cards that you won't know about, they won't tell you, you will find them after you leave (e.g. We found $1,000 on the card after we left) and they will not lift a finger to remove them.. They will tell you that you will get it back in 10 business days and the reason for the holding amount is that you spent more than $100 on room charges during your stay, which is a complete lie as we only spent less than $50... The frustration and inconvenience is a disgrace as how do they know that we won't therefore need to exceed our credit card limit during this time.. Will they reimburse you for the interest & charges as a result of their holding charge? The most frustrating part is that they they simply tell you to contact your bank & sort it out.. We made it clear that we did not know of this inappropriate & unauthorised charge yet they refused to do anything about it.
My expectations were set high for my upcoming stay. However I have walked away with more cons then pros. Pros were staff were very friendly, the pools is amazing , spa area is wonderful, and gym area is great. However the cons were with the room I stayed in had a few issues such as a sticker on the ceiling, three floorboards being broken, hairdryer being chipped and one of the chairs having a small rip in it. I also believe more maintenance can be done around the hotel such as cleaning the building as it was dirty in some areas. Overall for the price paid for the stay I believe it is not worth it. And the hotel can do with a few updates. I would not recommend staying here because I feel you could spend your money better else where. Don't be fooled by a fancy name.
Absolutely everything has the Versace logo on it. You'll feel like you fit in more if you're dressed up like your going to a wedding. It's old style flash, if that's your kind of thing. The restaurant staff were lovely.
This hotel is a disgrace to Versace brand. Front door staff not prepared to take guest luggage to rooms, saying they are under staffed. In hotel restaurants turning guests away, saying they are under staffed. Front cafe/bar staff very rude, not interested in making a coffee for a guest because they are in a hurry to finish their shift in 30 minutes. They charge 5 star money for third class service. Please don't waste your money here.
We ate at the restaurant several times, it's overrated and expensive for the quality of the food. Blue swimmer crabs were still frozen and mushy on both visits, also the chef in the station were u can ask for special orders is extremely grumpy, I politely asked if he can barbecue for me several prawns, with attitude he told me I must order from my table waiter, this information should have been relayed to me with courtesy. In such a quality place I expect nothing but the best.
Exceeded expectations - despite being renowned as the best. Rooms are large and exceptionally maintained. Serviced daily plus nightly turn down & tidy up (and they were like ninjas in that we only every saw them do it once over 5 nights). Toiletries, robes and bedding were all exceptional quality. Pool area was lovely too - although not heated, but swimable. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants, gym well appointed and parking included is a nice touch.
Brought my partner here for Father's Day. Just wanted to see what all the hype was about? But I definitely think this place is overrated. Beds were nice and comfy though.
Absolutely amazing service, the best staff I ve ever come across anywhere !|Hollie, dollie, marcel, Alex, Casey, Ava |Such kind beautiful workers it is an absolute pleasure to visit the hotel and a gift to be surrounded by such
This place definitely needs refurbishment. The carpet on the corridor was old, very old. Service was good, for the price we spent, I might choose a new service apartment instead. The mattress and pillows are very comfy.
Imagine the worst place you can stay, its better then this boutique hotel.. and they called themselves 5 star. Or they think everyone is idiot or we haven't travelled around the world and experienced real 4 and 5 star hotels, in Europe, Hostels give you better service then this sh... place. In America, Fairfield is a luxury hotel comparing to Palazzo Versace Gold Coast. Don't waste your time and money, look Sheraton, Hyatt, Marriott or even QT is goona be a better option.
We love this place. The pool is absolutely fabulous, with adult only areas. The seafood buffet is to die for. Breakfast is one of the best we have ever had. Staff are wonderfully efficient and friendly. The rooms are great, spacious, king size beds, large tvs. The place is looking a bit tired, but I suspect an upgrade is coming, judging by the number of tradiess we saw organizing quotes. The public spaces are brilliant.
This building is very dated and need to be renovated. We stayed in the condominium, nothing was working in the kitchen, old appliances, mould everywhere in the terrace. Poor customer service, definitely not up to standards.
Upmarket of course, so be prepared to pay for food and service that is a little extra- special. However you don't have to spend big money (though it's easy to do) You can opt for afternoon tea and cakes and relax in one of several different and very comfortable lounging areas, some featuring live music. Recommended for those who feel some pampering is in order!
Everytime we come for a short break we come here our first 2 times were phenomenal I couldn't recommend this place enough service and the food was exceptional we didnt mind paying premium because thats what you got.Unfortunately our last stay was very disappointing while the service still being great the food was terrible.Room service expensive and tastless, the buffet our most favorite thing was horrible it was obvious it wasnt about quality any more its about cutting costs forgetting quality charging the same. So disappointed unfortunately we will be looking for a new place to regularly stay.
Great from the time i walked into the hotel until i left with a big smile on my face. Wonderful roomy suite --exceptionally clean with all the comforts included. Great food and sevice. Exceptional high quality furnishings --daily change of flowers. Superb pool and surrounds. Even the hallways were interesting with avant-garde prints and photos with subtle lighting. Staff we're highly trained and delivering 100 percent at all times.
On our trip to the gold coast we stayed at the Palazzo Versace. This is a beautifully decorated hotel. We had one small issue with staff but manager handled it with care. We will be back.
Attended Versace for a wedding and it was just a perfect venue. Beautiful photos were taken at the pebbled driveway and the interior is just as glamorous. It was really nice that the ceremony and the reception were able to be in the same venue. In the break between events, my partner and I had Devonshire tea at the cafe/bar and it was just perfect. The ballroom for reception was incredibly done up and the staff were attentive during the night. Small thing that could be improved was that drinks were not topped up as often as I would have liked. Food was excellent as well. Overall would recommend as a wedding or event venue.
Very disappointing. Literally I am writing the review now in the room. We booked the room on line and email confirmation to check in after 3:00pm. We were here 3:15 and till now just checked in. When we first check in, the front desk told us the room was not ready and we need wait for one hour. But the fact is we were Doing nothing but waiting for 2 and half hrs! Ruined the whole afternoon stucking here waiting. As a five star such an expensive hotel, It really disappointing, could have better choice with this price. To give this review, I have to give 1 star at least but not even worth.
HQ Photo Booths did a flower wall here and it is definitely one of the most beautiful venues (probably the most beautiful). Atmosphere is one of a kind and definitely a class above the rest.
Staff was very attentive and helpful, nothing seemed to much trouble, even was able to buy some really amazing soft down pillows from them, hoping to to get back to get more, great place.
Although I have not stayed here but I have been visiting the hotel with family and friends for coffee and breakfast. We had a plan to stay but having an incident with the Spa receptionist made it all changed and gave us a totally different impression.
It seems to be a luxury place to stay, relax and tase delicious food but Claire at the Spa will make you hate it all! She is a short-tempered, unprofessional and treat gusts in such an awkward way!
Excellent service at the lounge bar. Very busy day with a wedding party and baby shower of 25 people plus kids. Thank you to Archie, for making our move from high tea to the longe bar so smooth. he really went above and beyond to accommodate a large group, coordinating arm chair moves and creating a space where the gathering coudl continue, even with a packed bar.
After some initial misunderstandings on booking we sorted out and had the best little family vacation for quite some time.. dining was great and the pool was amazing..
first time staying here and the place needs a paint looking alittle tired. staff are just kids and service is very disappointing. pool side the staff take ages to come serve you and the wait for your drinks takes ages. the standard of drinks at the pool are not the same as inside but are the same price. if you want to drink in versace drink inside not pool side they are just watered down. this place has definitely taken a down turn and the staff working there seem like they dont want to be there. this is will be our last time staying there. for the money you pay better off staying at the star gold coast as the food and drinks are heaps better.
My husband and I had lunch at Palazzo Versace a few weeks ago and were very disappointed in the state of the hotel. We had been thinking about staying there at some stage, but once we had a look around we quickly changed our minds. The hotel is very shabby and in a bad state of repair. The gardens are simply not maintained and the building itself needs a good external clean. The bathrooms had broken taps and soap dispensers. The whole appearance was very tired and not luxurious at all.
Greatest services I ever experienced! Love it so much. I recommend everyone to visit this beautiful hotel. The best part is without doubt the service they give you
Palazzo Versace is a very beautiful, classy hotel that has a very big outdoor pool. However,it is a very expensive place to stay at&is mainly for those who have the money to splurge. Our room costed over $700 a night for one bedroom on the bottom floor. It turned out to be a preferable floor if u want to open your balcony door&jump straight into the gorgeous lagoon-like pool. Those on the floors above would have to walk to the pool to go for a swim, although the view on the way there is nothing short of breathtaking with artistic, intricate designs from top to bottom. The only letdown my partner&i weren't happy with was that we ordered a seduction bath that didn't pull through for 2 days in a row,so we made our own
I booked the balcony suite for a surprise. Not sure who got a bigger surprise. I was so disappointed with the furniture which was extremely worn and torn (I have picture to back this up). I definitely wouldn t recommend and I have stayed at much better hotels on the Gold Coast. I would not rate the Versace a 5 star. When I did bring it to the staffs attention at the front desk I was more or less dismissed and I ve sent an email including pictures and no reply. Customer service??? I think not
Enjoyed the bar service Saturday night, though they couldn't make a Manhattan. Returned Christmas Day for tea and coffee. Ordered an affagato with gold leaf:
1) Didn't tell us they were out of the gold leaf accompaniment. 2) Arrived with no gold leaf and without a spoon for the ice cream. 3) Waitress returned with a spoon, without offering an alternative after ice cream had melted. 4) Ordered a flat white instead and was charged for the affogato anyway. 5) Had to negotiate the affagato off the bill.
Coffee is beautiful but was really disappointed with the service.
We checked in at 12:30pm expecting our room not to be ready, and we were happy to wait. We were told that our room would be ready at 2:00pm, but it's 3:30pm and we're still waiting. We're waiting in the foyer, no one has approached us or updated us, not even a drink voucher, or an explanation. Disappointing. We could have made other plans in the time we've waited. The porter was very polite, awesome considering.
I took 1 star off as the atmosphere is lacking life, and it was quite a long wait after ordering a drink, and it wasnt busy. However ! Their buffet is BY FAR THE BEST ive experienced.
I had a voucher for a Versace Signature Massage at the Spa for my birthday and it was the best massage I ve ever had! One hour of pure bliss and relaxing my stiff muscles. I had a male massage therapist and he did an amazing job!! Thank you, I will be back :)
Fabulous hotel. Huge pool with a man made beach. Spectacular building great service from an attentive staff. Top notch breakfast . Really Great stay. Handy for Sea World as well.
This place makes feel like a royalty. Makes me feel elegant. The service and food is topnotch. The high tea here are the best of the best: good presentation, variety, delicious and the ambience is breathtaking
Food took far too longer to serve. The manager there called naresh was unable to clearly explain the menu and was condescending. Items missed from the order. Mouldy ceiling.
Food was terrible. We booked a room for 3 but received 1 set of amenities and 2 towels. We asked the room service 3 times before we got the 3rd towel and didnt receive anything else. Service was average and felt like we paid $50 per night. Room was really nice, but don't expect food or services to be more than a budget hotel.
