Atura Hotels & Resorts Review

The pub menu is limited (have stayed there a number and have eaten most things) - suggest a seasonal menu.
Recommend in room movies....

Helpful staff with a simple but clean room. Parking was easy and very convenient. No complaints for the price.

Its on nice location. Food is good. Place is very cozy

I am a regular guest at the Atura in Dandenong and generally enjoy the experience. The staff are warm and friendly and easy to get along with. The rooms are fresh and well maintained.

Went to the micro brewery for dinner and ordered the Classic burger. Overpriced and took over an hour. The burger and bun were also burnt but I was so hungry I ate it anyway. Staff were e friendly.

Needs improvement
Staff are not friendly and can be very rude.
Management needs to train and teach their staff in regards to customer service and try to look like they enjoy their job!!!
I'm speaking about the Hotel staff and the downstairs Bar and dinning area.
A friend that I took for the first time for lunch said he would never come back because of the poor service and unfriendly staff.

We had booked 3 nights at the Atura in the deluxe suite.
We never imagined how high end and welcoming it was!
Richard at reception was very knowledgeable and helpful with check in and check out. Made our experience simple and easy. The lobby as you enter is very vibrant and colourful. The layout of the suite had a nice flow yet very welcoming and luxurious. By far up there with the Pomanade in the city. The highlight would have to be the blackout curtains and comfy bed! The bar downstairs and restaurants we didn't try but will definately next visit!

Really nice staff. The rooms were clean and tidy. Cool design and furniture at reception. Would definitely stay again and recommend. The only downfall is the entertainment in the rooms. TV was had limited channels and felt outdated.

While Staying at Atura there were problems and Issues.

Room was Un neat Crums on floor , marks on walls.
We had to recolate rooms as the Aircon was only producing warn air.
There wasn't enough towels for more than 4+ people to have a shower.
Brownstone -( restraunt downstairs) food was burnt also plain.

Staff and Service was the only good thing about the stay.

Stayed here for one night for work this hotel has a lot to offer 2 restaurants and micro brewery, also walking distance to a large Woolworths and walking distance to a few restaurants.

Nice comfy room and clean, good staff and good food. Micro brewery in the basement offers a good selection of beer. One of the must stay places in my list when I m in the area for business.

Had our work Christmas party here December 2015. It was good. The staff were very nice and accommodating.

This was the reason I booked this hotel for my uncle and aunt who were visiting from overseas. I was able to get help from staff to make the booking online. My uncle & aunt were happy with their stay.

Pretty good establishment if you need to be in this part of Melbourne.

Every time I visit Melbourne I have been staying in this hotel. Because I liked it for being clean etc. I always locked my valuables in safe before leaving. However I was in hurry on the 7oct 2017 so I left my Jewellery s in my suitcase. Came back my room was cleaned. Which was great however they took my fancy s 24ct pure gold chain. Reporting that to reception. But was every time asked to come back after few hours so the manager can come and investigate. End up getting hold of manager the very last day 2 hours before our flight. And he start saying there is no way their room cleaner has touch etc. and I should report to police. Okay great they should have told me earlier not 2 hours before. I could go report or go take my flight. It was a horrible experience trying to get a hold of their manager for 3 days.

My second stay at the hotel was as good as the first. Selected your hotel because of location, past experience, and trust the next stay would be as good. Wasn't disappointed. Reception staff were excellent across the board. Nothing was too much.
Micro brewery downstairs was also as good.
I'll be back.

After arriving at 2 to be told our rooms not only weren't ready but they were unsure when they would be ready to be sent away without an apology was fairly unforgiving

Room was comfortable and clean. Though i wouldnt call 2 single beds pushed together with gap in middle to be a queen bed. Breakfast was delicious and great variety
Not to impressed at being locked out of motel at 2 am alone and card not activating the door nobody answered the door bell or the phone when rang multiple times. Was outside for nearly 20 min before anyone came !

Resturant is a Waste of time and money very small portions of food and no ham on a chicken parma local pub much better

Stayed at Atura Dandenong for work my partner checked out later and was accused and charged for allegedly opening a bottle of wine and filling it with water. Then we were charged for breakfast when on checkin we were told it was complimantary was disgusted by the way the staff spoke to my partner on departure and when i rang they hung up on me .

Staying over from Adelaide for work. Third time here, stayed 1 week this time. Fantastic Staff, great room, excellent breakfast, great Dinners and a micro-brewery to boot! I'll keep coming back!

Free notepad, nice presentation room, comfortable chairs, what more could I ask for.

Set menu for lunch was adequate. Desert in particular, meringue was very good. Venue seemed unprepared for number of attendees as not with tables were prepared in advance.

Overall a clean, well maintained hotel with friendly staff. The home brewed beer was an added bonus. The only negative is stepping into and out of the bath for a shower, with arthritic knees and hips it's a fairly big step that made me a bit uneasy. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Very well set up hotel, ample parking. It was a pleasant surprise.

Attended a meeting in the Royal room. Unfortunately the room had no windows and mouse from a neighbouring meeting room could be heard. Catering was very nice. Staff are also great.

This is one of my local go-to hotels.. it's quirky, clean, modern, includes friendly service and has an awesome restaurant downstairs . Would definitely recommend !

Nice room. Lovely shower. Disappointed in the volume of goods for sale in the room. Very little room in the fridge. Large charge for using amex which is a charge on the business not the customer and the $200 bond is a rip off. Most motels just take an imprint of your credit card.

Internet was good and breakfast was filling.

We stayed at Atura following our weddung at the Cranbourne Gardens and we booked about 10 rooms which was very easy. Its a very comfortable clean hotel. The booking process was easy even booking that amount of rooms a couple weeks out.

Thd only reason I didnt give a 5 star. Is the pub/restaurant downstairs. We had booked for 25 people yet they only had 1 staff to take orders and she took forever and got our order and even coffee orders wrong. Nice food. Just poor service.

Fairly flash hotel, stayed here twice a while back and quite enjoyed it. Lots of facilities, bars, restaurant cafe, all very nice

The place very quiet and very nice...the staff friendly...we enjoy and this is the third time staying in this hotel...value for money.

Awoke to a screaming alarm in my room, followed by a panicked voice yelling we needed to evacuate because room 101 was smoking....
Aaron and panicked voice continued for minutes.
No complimentary Latte in the morning...
In my 31 years of business travel have I seen such a poor response and Managment of a disaster...

This is on of the best value four money I have ever stayed in.Rooms are lovely, people friendly, close to every thing. I have spent 10 days there. Thank you I will be back. Joan

Room had a noise coming from roof , slight windy night. Have had more comfortable beds and the fridge was right by the bed. Noisy.
Non disclosure about paying bond also when contacting . So was caught off guard. Took several days to get refund back.

It is always a pleasure to stay at Atura Dandenong, staff are Always friendly and Helpful..I would recommend it to anyone..

Check in and out is very quick and easy. Restaurant has very tasty food and great steaks. Laundry is handy as I need to wash work clothes. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I stay here every time I come to Melbourne for work as Atura has everything I need close by like, Woolies, Bunnings, Maccas and Hogs Breathe Cafe. Beds are comfy, rooms have all facilities and the area is quiet at night.

Stayed here 4 times for work. Fairly standard Business Hotel. Staff were overall Friendly. Rooms clean and Tidy. Full Buffet breakfast included. However, no onsite gym. (12 AUD to use Gym at Freeway sports)

Fantastic. I was invited for a wedding reception there and the service was magnificent.

Great bed even though the doona was hard and heavy Nice bathroom even though the shower didn't quite work and made a mess all over the bathroom Nice coffee machine even though it only had 2 of the same flavours instead of a selection Nice Tea brand even though they only gave you 2 choices Nice TV even though a sound bar would make it less audible on the next room Unfortunately there aren't any electrical outlets beside the bed for your phone

Great service and atmosphere, food was great and so was the beer.

Nice, clean, comfortable. The breakfast is outrageously overpriced, but there are cafes across the road and plenty of other breakfast options in walking distance. The "king" beds are only 2 single beds pushed together.

I booked for four nights at the Atura Dandenong hotel. The first night was good. When we returned to our room (room 112) on the second day after being out for the day the room smelt very strongly of sewage.

We went to reception to report the issue. We were given another room and were called by a manager two days later.

Whilst initially being very disappointed with the need to change rooms, the matter was handled very professionally by the hotel.

I stayed here for four nights and everything ran so smoothly.
Nothing negative to say about my experience here. Directly accross from a small shopping centre (Woolworths etc) so location is handy also.
The restaurant/micro brewery downstairs offers some fantastic pub food in a nice and modern setting.

Service was good. Food was bland and overpriced. Menu was not explicit about what the meals contained. Very disappointed.

The staff and service at Atura Dandenong is fantastic. Great rooms and restaurant. The laundry facilities, whilst available, is lacking.

Went there for a work function,prices and food are excellent. Beer lovers paradise.

Nice modern rooms but layout is a bit strange with bits and pieces everywhere. Heaps of parking.
Fee to use the gym and you have to go downstairs to collect your own room service.

We live in East Gippsland and travel to Melbourne often. We have stayed at Atura Dandenong several times in the past, each stay including this one has been excellent. The staff have always been extremely courteous and friendly, the rooms clean and the meals, both breakfast and dinner of a good standard. The location is very good, making it easy to get anywhere in Melbourne in a reasonably short period of time. We'll be back again.

Dosen't deserve even star because I stayed for one and I paid $200 for bond now it's been 18 days I'm still chasing for my money

Function room and facilities provided were really nice. I was quite impressed!

So quiet. Slept all weekend without interruptions. Gym very close by and handy for the husband....so he was able to do what he lives doing...yep workout. Bed so comfy. Excellent hotel. A must visit.

Have been staying at Atura Dandanong for work for a long time and things were great but recently overall experience is brought down by the customer service and cleanliness. I arrived to find a large pile of finger AND toe nails (looked to be a whole set) on the carpet next to my bed. Disgusted I ask to have it cleaned. When arriving back to my room the next afternoon the bed had been made, towels folded and still a huge pile of finger and toe nails in a pile on the floor, it was just gross. I rang and had a lady Sam picked up who was great, very apologetic and offered free drinks at the bar while they cleaned it up. So not a good start but she s sorted it at least. Then over the four day trip any experiences with reception I found to be rude and short with people while he would also take forever to get anything done as lines of people would just be sitting there lining up waiting. Then you d get to front of line and he tap away for ages then fob you off tell you to wait while he sorts someone else out, you could see the frustration in everyone s faces that dealt with him. They messed up our booking telling us that we booked for a Friday night which we never did as we flying out that day, he had no interest in fixing their mistake, maybe because the place is empty on weekends. Then when asking to speak to a manager, to ask about the extra charge he said he was it. I said I wanted to talk to someone about resolving the issue instead of leaving me with an overall bad experience. He blamed me and my company, took my comments as an attack on himself and said he had no issue with me writing a review instead. A person like that at head of customer service is unfortunate, and left us with an overall bad experience, not to mention my employer and clients. Any other time reception was okay but we won t be staying again, neither will any of our company or clients. Steaks and food are overpriced, although bar staff and dining staff were great. Thank you to all those who actually still care about their customers.

Had to stay here at a very difficult time of my life and the staff made me feel very welcome and everything was incredibly easy. Rooms are good and bed is comfortable.

Clean close to hwy. Free WIFI Staff friendly & accommodating.

Stayed at the Altuta as it is handy for work.
Pretty standard hotel that services a lot of business travellers.
Rooms are good and the downstairs steak and beer house is very good. Great selection of differing beers, steak was also very good.
Only downside would be the breakfast - you re better off finding somewhere else to start the day.
Breakfast is very pricey for pretty ordinary food.

Air conditioning didn't work. Left a note asking to fix but they didn't bother. Otherwise nice hotel

Held our Engagement Party Here in August 2013.
The staff are very lovely and have prompt responses to emails.
The venue itself is very nice and well kept. We booked the whole function area for 140people as a sit down dinner.
Highly recommended.

Not big rooms but well equipped. Little bit of noise from other apartments but not too bad. Excellent staff and a nice brewery / restaurant downstairs.

Nice, clean venue but the room I was given had a very noisy air conditioner on the roof above it,and my sleep suffered for it.

Enjoyed my room, food was great at both the micro brewery and hotel restaurant!

Downstair bar is awesome. Good bar food but best of all the beer is cold and delicious. They brew there own beer. Played pool while we ate their burger special for the day... good experience all round
