This Omni Hotel is the WORST one yet! I am almost certain that I would have received better customer service from a Motel 6. Upon finding out that I would be lodging at the Omni Mandalay after booking a room through Hotwire, I was excited. Everything seemed to be fine until I got into the room. The room was ICE COLD when I walked in. Not an issue initially because I just proceeded to adjust the room temperature to my liking. Called down to Valet to get my car pulled around because I was heading out for dinner and went down about 35 minutes after I called. I saw that my car was pulled up but there were no Valet attendants there to assist. I went back in the hotel where the Concierge told me that the keys were in my car. Went back outside to get into my car and my car was locked. I went back inside of the hotel and there are the valet attendants scrambling looking for my keys. THEY HAD LOST MY KEYS TO MY CAR. Here it is 40 degrees outside and I out there with them trying to locate my keys. Finally after 20 minutes they find my keys. I told them that this was absolutely unacceptable. When I returned to the hotel later that night, I decided to self-park because valet just couldn t be trusted. I contacted the front desk and told them of this issue and he stated that everything would be taken care of and that they would "comp" my valet and my room upgrade. Okay great no worries. I go back up to my room and it is still FREEZING. I contacted the front desk and told them that the room had not warmed up and it is below 60 degrees. The front desk said that they would send someone up. Never had anyone come up or address the issue. I was checking out the next morning so I am assuming they didn t really care. I slept in a room below 60 degrees that night. When I checked out I explained to the young man what my issues were, he told me not to worry and that he was sorry that I had experienced these issues and that at my next stay (one day way) that there would be a complimentary room upgrade. I agreed and went on about my day. Friday came and it was time for me to check into the Omni Mandalay again. This room seemed to have a heating system that was working just fine so I felt that this stay would be better. I proceeded to check out the next morning and the front desk attendant tells me that there will be a room upgrade charge. I explained to him what had happened just a couple of days ago and how I was not supposed to be charged for anything, Wednesday night or Friday not. He told me not to worry and that he would take care of it. I checked my credit card this morning to find that the Omni Mandalay had charged me $84.50 TWICE for both Wednesday and Friday. I called immediately and spoke with Kyle (The Front Desk Manager) who was very RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL to me. He would not let me explain what had been promised to me or anything. He kept cutting me off very abruptly and dismissing my concerns. I asked to speak with someone else and he told me "WELL I am the Manager so..." I told him since he was being rude and did not want to listen to me that I wanted to speak to the Hotel Manager. Kyle told me that there was no need and that I needed to speak with Accounting. He told me " I can assure you that we have NOT CHARGED you a DIME for either of your stays Wednesday or Friday" He kept talking to me like I was a child and that this was my first hotel stay and that I was not aware of hotel policies. I demanded to speak to the General Manager. He transferred my call to a Holly where I have left her a message to discuss my horrendous experience with this hotel and the staff (MAINLY MR. KYLE who is allegedly in hotel management but has not a respectful or polite bone in his body). I have already contacted my bank to dispute the charges and will be contacting corporate. I am so SORRY OMNI HOTEL AND RESORTS, but you just lost a faithful customer as I will NEVER return. If you plan to stay at this hotel, PLEASE PLEASE ask for a print out of charges before you leave because this location and their staff are not HONEST.

Had been to the Omni for a pre wedding reception event. Since I was a guest and not one of the hosts I am unable to comment on the costs at the Omni. But I definitely found the hotel event room quite spacious and well set. The parking was adequate and quite close to the hotel building as well, though it would have been good if there was a direct entrance from the using to the main building. Specially in winter. Food was arranged from outside this time so the hotel had no part to play in it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Omni Mandalay. Room was clean, and very comfortable. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Pool was heated. For our three nights we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again. Only reason not 5 stars was the beds were full size not queen so a little small, but still very comfortable.

If I could give zero stars I would. Although I have been a select (and loyal) guest with this hotel for more than 20 years, this last stay has persuaded me to stop hoping to again find the type of customer service I remember. This hotel has veered far afield from the wonderful customer service that made me a long-time fan. On this occasion, we stayed at the Omni for 6 nights so that I could recover from knee surgery because our home was being repaired from extensive flood damage as the result of the June 5 storm in our area. The knee surgery unavoidably conflicted with the tearing up and relaying of new wood floors. I checked into the Omni Mandalay on a Wednesday following a Monday surgery. I can put no weight on that leg for four weeks so my mobility is very limited. Two days after I arrived, it became clear that I would need to stay an additional few days due to the construction. On inquiring at the front desk, I was told that the hotel was "fully committed" the following Tuesday through Friday (which were the days I wanted to extend). After returning to my room, I immediately went to the Omni Mandalay website and found that there WERE rooms available for the days I requested (albeit at a higher rate than the Triple A rate I was paying). Being disgusted with this turn of events, I booked another area hotel and did not inquire further. Since the information the front desk gave me was false, I presume the hotel simply did not want to offer me the same suite (or any room) at a much higher price. However, I just called the front desk and asked for a late checkout tomorrow (which is supposed to be a perk of the so-called "select" guest membership) and was told that I could be extended by only one hour even though I am on crutches and have a ton of stuff to pack and haul to another area hotel before my post-op appointment tomorrow. The Omni Mandalay used to put customer service above all else. However, it's clear now that the customer is the least of their concerns. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is looking tired and outdated. With this type of management, I don't expect it to be around much longer.

Refrigerator's and microwave's should be standard items in each room for a Hotel of your statute. Although the response to have both delivered to our room was very quick, both items were old, placed on the floor where you had to get on your knees to use the fridge and it took time for the fridge to cool. My college dorm room in the mid eighty's provided better. After that comical situation, everything else was great.
Beautiful & quite hotel. You will love it.

This is the worst hotel EVER ! You get what you pay for . Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. Upon arrival it was definitely an older out of date hotel , we are use to staying at the Omni down town which is WAY nicer but the lady who booked our room over the phone insisted this was a better option. From arrival they did not have our rooms correct. We had two suite highest floor over looking the water. I made sure when we got there that this was still the situation and the lady told me yes. We got to our room on the 4th floor which is very bottom with a few of the parking lot. We had to down grade to a regular just to get the view on top floor , which was fine even though this was verified twice and not correct. We had multiple rooms booked for a weeding we left the hotel for dinner and when My cousin got back to her room her and her husband had no sheets on their bed just the comforter. They walked down to the front desk and asked for the manger and asked if he could send someone up to put sheets on the bed the manger said no he refused to help and only solution he offered was to move them rooms at 3am but the only rooms they had was a suite and they would have to pay extra to move room or sleep on a bed with no sheets . Needless to say it s pretty bad when an entire group of people out celebrating for a wedding has to leave your hotel at 3am and drive hours home becase the night manger refuses to give you a fresh pair of sheets because the house keepers are all off work.

Nice hotel in a convenient location. Great views. Friendly staff. Needs updating to really earn the star rating it has. Bathroom was cheaply upgraded, mattress had a sag on one side, bedside lamp was not working, no plugs in convenient places.... you expect more when you're paying $400+ per night.

Stayed overnight and I was extremely pleased! The room was spacious. Not cramped like other big chain hotels. Had a great view of the waterfront below. The bathroom was even stocked with a sewing repair kit, cotton balls and cotton swabs. It was easy to get to and the hotel staff was friendly!I would stay there again any time I go back to Dallas. It's also a short drive from the airport!

I would love to give 5 stars, if it was not for the hassle of parking. The parking structure is very tight and limited with spaces for the size of the hotel. After looking for parking for over 10 minutes we opted for valet, $16.00. The entire staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was attending a private party and the staff went above and beyond to ensure all the guest were happy and taken care of. I would visit this location again.

I visited the Omni Mandalay for a major event on January 12th. I valeted my Acura TLX early morning with the belief that it would be exceptional service. After the event, they were so disorganized that it took over an hour to receive my vehicle making me late for another engagement. Not only did valet damage the bumper on the drivers side, they've done very little to rectify the situation. They referred my claim to Janet Lanza from Choose Broadspire who never followed up after an initial conversation. I've requested camera footage and they've claimed that "they cannot disclose" that information.
Hating to see my vehicle damaged it has now been a cost that I've incurred at the expense of an establishment's negligence. This is just ridiculous.

The rooms were very big and comfortable, although, in my opinion, the lighting was a little dim for my taste. The italian restaurant in the hotel has a great, but limited buffet (it's still very good). Overall, a great experience.

The hotel is truly beautiful. The ADA room left a lot to be desired.
The bed was so incredibly high, at least 3.5 feet. Why would anyone think that someone who is wheelchair bound need a bed that high? Getting into it and out of it presented challenges.
The bathroom presented its own unique challenges. They have a phone on the wall, just above the security bar, that I kept hitting my radial nerve on (funny bone) every time I tried to stand up. We finally removed the phone from the wall. Which concerned the housekeeping, until I assured her that we would put it back upon our departure.
The toilet is extremely high. Not the standard ADA height. Higher than that, so if you have problems with your legs, like from multiple sclerosis, I wish you luck. Several times I could not stand up and my husband was forced to pick me up to get me off of it.
The shower is a standard roll in, without any barriers at all. I brought my own shower chair, but the hotel does provide one. No issues with the shower at all.
The sink is also extremely high. So much so that using it is a problem. I had to use tissue to spit into while I brushed my teeth, because I could not reach the sink.
House keeping is very friendly. The hotel is luxurious. I would recommend it to any healthy individual who can independently get around.

Currently there is construction outside the front of the hotel that makes it a bit difficult to get into the hotel, especially when it is raining and there is little light to see the entrance. Also, our room was near the parking garage and some car alarms were going off early morning. So maybe request to be on the other side of the hotel will alleviate this issue. We loved the room darkening curtains and appreciated the spacious rooms.
