Omni Hotel Las Colinas Reviews

I went to the Omni Mandalay Hotel with a couple of girlfriends to have dinner at Trevi's. It was my first time at the restaurant. The food was excellent and was only out-matched by their service. Our waiter was very attentive, timely, and took care of everything we needed. He even took our pictures after dinner. Our night was superb and I will definitely be returning.

The room was not properly cleaned, there were several deposits of dust. The vanity mirror was falling off of the wall and impossible to use. I was charged incident fee without being informed about it and a day after I checked out I was charged additional 30 dollars and never received a copy of a receipt.

Great location in Las Colinas, with an awesome view from the higher floors. There's a nice little bar downstairs with a pool table in it, if you're feeling restless in your room. However, amazing beds and awesome pillows make me just as eager to pull down the covers and take a little nap!

Superb service...good meeting rooms...ideal for business travel.

We have always been treated well at any of the Omni's we have stayed at. Great amenities and very friendly staff.

It's awesome. Checking in was fast. Room was clean. Parking is easy and free. The refrigerator has a look on it but they will bring the key when you ask. Almost feels like another world. Will definitely go back.

I booked this hotel with the excellent ratings and pictures on Hotwire. However they are clearly misleading. The staff is very friendly and their restaurant has decent but expensive food but thats about it. The decor is old and the hotel is in definite need of renovations. There were stains in the bathroom, the bathtub looked dirty, the bathroom fixtures were old and also broken. Overall this is not what I would expect from a four star hotel.

I went to make coffee and opened one of the milk packets which had gone bad. I was anxious to drink coffee in the room after that. Not sure why a four star hotel would not replace milk packets regularly. Parking is limited and hard to find in late hours. Overall we were dissatisfied living here and wished we lived in the nearby hotels instead.

Beautiful. The bed is super comfortable and the view is amazing. Had it not been for the kids banging on the wall with loud music and slamming doors, I would have been there all night.

What a wonderful hotel. Perfect for a staycation if you live in the DFW area. Great spot to stay if coming in from out of town.

Very nice venue with a great view of the canal and great food.

Attended a social event in one of the ballrooms. The space was very nice, but there were some shortcomings. The climate control did not work well and the temperature fluctuated significantly, additionally, the speaker system that was provided did not include a microphone and no one seemed to know where it was. Finally, the staff walking through the room passing hors d'oeuvres did not seem to pay any attention to whether people were in the middle of a conversation and interrupted my conversations several times.

The hotel is very nice. The lobby areas are beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are decorated nicely but are showing a bit of wear. Overall, it's been a good stay, but I would have expected a bit more in the rooms from an Omni.

This is a nice hotel. The beds and chairs and couches and towels and linens are all plush and comfortable. The only knock against the furniture is the chair provided for the desk, it's not adjustable for height. The provided toiletries are nice. The service is really good as well. The Internet speeds suck.

Truly outstanding hotel. Every moment felt welcoming and luxurious. The staff treated me like family and the grounds were beautiful.
What most impressed me was when I took an evening walk around the waterfront. They have speakers around the landscaping that play gentle music to complement fragrant plants and soft lighting effects. The level of detail reminded me of a high-end Disney hotel similar to the Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World, although much smaller.

The photos of the skyline are the view from my room. I recommend asking for a room with a view, it's spectacular.

It's close to Downtown but far enough away that it feels very tranquil. Of the hotels I've stayed in, the Omni Mandalay is very, very high on my favorites list.

Considering value, location and experience, it's my number 1 pick when staying in Dallas. You'll have to pay a LOT more to have better lodging than this.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Rooms are beautiful and elegantly appointed. Bar is nice and reasonable. Service is impeccable. I had room service a couple of times. Its slighty expensive but the food was very tasty. I would definitely return there and recommend to my friends

Went with a few friends and got the corner suite with a great view! Service was awesome, we called for an extra towel, they brought us 5.

A beautiful Hotel me and my wife got a Chance to Dine at the Restaurant Service and Food was Excellent. Daisy was our server EXTREMELY knowledgeable of the Menu and a friendly smile. EXCELLENT 7 STARS

The stay was nice and the rooms were clean. The hotel seemed kind of old and felt there were some things that had been retrofitted. Overall all I would stay there again.

Nice room and friendly staff but the room we booked wasnt the room we recieved. No suite just two beds. They brought up a roll away and just left it in hall by our door. No sugarbor creamer for coffee. No small refrigerator or microwave. And they charge a 50$ deposit in case you order room service which is fine just wish they woukd have mentioned it but takes a week to get it back whether you used their services or not.

Place was very inviting, met some friends there and we stayed for about an hour. Very clean and polite staff.

Welcoming property where this first visit made us feel like known regulars. Staff is always available, friendly with genuine smiles and offering of assistance, and the public areas were very clean and useful, with plenty of elevators, so little to no waiting. Room was large, bright and clean with comfortable bed and linens, great towels, and good consistent internet.
Very good choice to meet up, a great value for the cost, without the usual dull typical Marriott, Hyatt, large chain feel.
I will certainly be a return guest here.

Great place to relax on a free weekend or for travel. Surrounded by a beautiful river with great amenities.

Beautiful suites, great service, easy walk to area restaurants. Enjoyed a business meeting stay over two days. Wonderful catering.

Extremely outdated room, barely worth half what we paid.

If I could give them a minus I would. Needed an ADA compliant room. Was given a room on the 21st floor and was told this was the only one they had with a roll in shower. Why would you put a room for a handicap person on the 21st floor rather than a lower floor. Would be impossible to get down the stairs. Also it did not have a fixed bench in the shower. Instead it was a flimsy chair that my husband nearly fell from. This was reported and they replaced it with a stool like chair. No back and no arm rest. The only thing ADA about this room was the grab bars in the shower. The faucet did not reach far enough to be used by the person taking the shower. Had to have someone holding it for them.

Next there was no refrigerator in the room. There was supposed to be one and when I asked they brought me a cooler that s used for wine. It never got cool. Had to put bags of ice in it to keep drinks and open containers somewhat cool.

The ice machines are on every other floor. A real bother considering the refrigerator problem mentioned above.

Entrance and parking for handicap person is almost nonexistent. Have to go up several steps to enter hotel. There s a ramp but it s a ways from the entrance and the person in the chair could not make it on his own.

The government needs to shut this place down or fine them heavily because they are not equipped for handicap use. I will contact local officials about this hotel for sure!!!

What an awesome hotel experience; the staff was beyond friendly and helpfuk, the property is situated right on the water front, perfect for relaxing strolls and next to an awesome Japanese restaurant.

We were very impressed with the Omni. Their express check in is the best that I have ever experienced. The food at Trevi's was awesome. For dinner, we all had leftovers, the amount of food was great and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet was out of this world and the Mexican dishes were a really nice treat for breakfast. Our suite was reasonably priced and had a nice view. Room service was so fast each time (we only ordered coffee and water) that it caught me off guard. ...but in a positive way.

THIS HOTEL WAS BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, AND THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL. THE REASON FOR 4 STARS IS BECAUSE THE LIGHTING IN THE BATHROOM AND THE WATER PRESSURE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THIS WILL BE MY HOTEL OF CHOICE IN THIS AREA WHEN I RETURN.

Thos place is huge and very clean. I did get lost trying to find my friends room. The staff is very friendly and there is a beautiful theme to the whole hotel. The bar is large and the servers are friendly.

Wow. Not too happy with front desk managers. Not helpful and kinda mean.

The staff is very friendly and willing to help. And beware the prices there are not cheap and if you like swimming they only have one pool that's a okay size.

Very nice older hotel but still in good shape. Excellent staff that's friendly, helpful and courteous. Quiet location but plenty of shopping and restaurants within 2.5 miles. A few restaurants and bars within walking distance. Hotel sits right on the canal with a great view of Dallas skyline, if you're on the correct side. The only issue was the internet logging off numerous times.

Dated hotel, unorganized and desk generally unhelpful. I would have rated it a one except I did get a refund for my stay.

Great room #1811 with and awesome view of the city skyline.
Trevia onsite restaurant is a must try. Get the Bruscetta app and enjoy.

Staff is nice from the front desk to housekeeping. The hotel itself, well that's a different story. The parking is very limited. The room didn't have a microwave, the restaurants in the hotel are overpriced.

Internet service is not good, in two different occasions there was no signal for the tv

SEPTEMBER 2nd 2019:
It's ok... old property in need of updating. Cleanliness leave a guest desiring for a little more attention. Upon check in the trash had not been emptied in the room. The windows have obviously not been dusted in quite some time [apparent by the cobwebs]. The tile grout in the bathroom floor and the tub could use some attention in the daily cleaning routine. The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan...

Doors have a healthy gap underneath them and the walls are thin enough to hear a normall conversation in the hallway and hear your neighbors TV. Several areas of the hotel are under some form of construction and cordoned off big black curtains. The pool area chairs had been strewn with left over towells that had not been cleaned up by patrons nor staff for a significant amount of time - they had probably been there since 2pm when the outdoor bar closed and only cleaned up at 10pm (when we were at the pool) an hour before closing.

The beds are old and uncomfortable, but I am glad the beds atleast apeared to have clean sheets on them (as the staff had not even removed the trash from the room...) The blackout curtains do not completely close as one side has a partially broken hanger keeping the curtains from over lapping when closed.

Wifi was available if you paid a fee - Plug in Ethernet jack was not available in the room. Cell phone reception was sufficient to hotspot our phone to use laptops.

If booking though the Hotel's website the price paid will leave you desiring more value for the money you spent to stay here.

On a positive note - the door staff was always there and happy to greet guest; and the front desk staff was very pleasent. Having pool noodles available was great! The view from our room was nice and the air conditioning worked great!

It was a very spacious hotel with very friendly guest and accommodating amenities! Would definitely recommend to anyone this hotel!

This Host Hotel is a five-star and the room we had was very awesome

It was good experience. Our room had the lake view and it was beautiful. The hotel lobby was nice and the pool area next to the lake was amazing. The Toyota Music Factory is 5 minutes away.

Beautiful location on the inside seems that Irving is doing Construction on the street to get to the OMNI so there might be a bit to get used to so that you dont get lost but the hotel it self very clean and is wonderful staff will help you check in every time ive been here i am welcomed with a wonderful and genuine smile which you dont see that in many hotels.

My goodness where do I begin?! From the first phone call (because I m overly meticulous) the staff was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. They helped me execute a surprise private dinner for my Husband and even gifted us a wonderful bottle of champagne. This hotel is not only beautiful but the staff is amazing! Henry and Kelly Thank you so so so much! Can t wait to return after the renovations! Everything was immaculate and safe.

The room itself was nice, but everything else The food was something straight out of a "cafateria" and you might as well keep the room service in your room. Our service tray was outside of our room our entire stay! You are locked out if the mini bar and don't even think about asking for a key!

From the moment we pulled up the valet, doorsman, check in counter, to the luggage personnel, all were very terrific. This hotel was by far the best one I have ever been treated in and our room was a deluxe suit which had an awesome view from the 25th floor. The breakfast was great as well. I would recommend this place for a nice get away from the city!!! I will definitely stay here again!!!

We enjoyed our stay here. The only thing I wish was present inside of the room is a microwave. Other than this our stay was pleasant.

The Omni Mandalay in Las Colinas is one classy place. I attended a large company party there before Christmas and found hotel staff of all stripes very helpful and friendly. The interior of the building is attractive, well kept and clean. And kudos to the chef(s) and cooks in the kitchen as they made some delicious entrees and desserts for the event...this is a place that serves quality food and service. Applause!

Beyond excellent service, loved the experience provided by the staff and room was clean and relaxing. Restaurant was also amazing!

Descent. Service great, food good, 27th floor in need of " room refreshment". Only 1 complaint: no religious channel on television; Daystar?TBN? Many have come to the Lord in a hotel!

I highly recommend this hotel for for someone in search of a luxurious stay in Las Colonas. Such beautiful walks around the hotel along the water front. The hotel is spacious, clean, and super friendly. Very accommodating to their guests.

Second time staying here for a staycation and I love it!!
