Hotels are plentiful. And there's always a nice hotel just around the corner. But for the ultimate hotel experience that is more than you imagine and exceeds all of your expectations there is no place like the omni. And the Omni Mandalay certainly exceeds all of those qualifications. If they even a sense something is not to your liking they are prompt to seek a solution before the problem ever existed.
Great place 2 get away and relax. Nice, clean rooms. Front desk, valet was very friendly.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
The 80's called and want their hotel back! I am competely dissappointed with my stay at this Omni. The popcorn ceilings need to go! There was a telephone by the toilet. Dude! Invest the money that we spent into udating your rooms. The USB Plug in the alarm clock didnt work. The plugs that were in the desk didnt work. The tub drained slowly. There was no free water or coffee or anything for me to enjoy. The fridge was just thrown in the room as an afterthought. I have stayed in the Omni Dallas and thought it would be nice. I was sooooooooooo wrong. I will never stay there again. I paid too much. I could have went down to Aloft and paid $74 a night and got free breakfast and coffee and hot tea. Come on Get your act together. So very disappointed.
Great visit for me and my wife staff was great only thing was there a early morning party that woke us up but staff and room was awesome
I was just there to pick up a friend. The staff members were very friendly.
If you are feeling bold and adventurous the bathrooms come with a bidet!!
Chambre confortable, vue top. Dommage wifi payant 9.95/jour.
We spent one night at the Omni Mandalay. We had a nice view of the river from our room which was sadly marred by the construction. The Staff we interacted with was courteous but not friendly. My biggest disappointment was the bathtub. The tub was not draining so we informed the concierge. The tubwas supposedly fixed as we found a note saying hairwas cleaned out of the drain. Sadly the tub still did not drain very well after. If you are staying at the OmniMandaly please DONOT count on us g the hotel to!eteries they are awful and leave you sticky. The. Breakfast ( not included) and river walk as possibly the only things that would make me consider coming back!
Decent place and nice amenities .little far to travel.
Omni mandalay is a beautiful property overlooking the waterfront of las colinas. Despite some current road construction, getting to shops etc is very convenient. Our trip included a concert at the nearby Toyota music factory so the mandalay was the perfect hotel to be in. The staff is friendly, parking is convenient, and the room was spacious, clean and quiet. Trevis restaurant offered a wonderful buffet breakfast before we departed for home. I will definitely book there again as the price and the convenience cannot be matched. My only complaint, Internet is not complimentary during your stay.
Service is consistently below average. Have stayed many times, but have never received more than minimum level service effort from front desk staff.
My Husband suprised me with an overnight stay at the Omni Mandalay this past Saturday. It was great! We got a corner room with the most amazing view of the canal. The shower was amazing, the water pressure just massaged the knots in our backs away. The room was so pretty. We loved the comfy bed.
My husband and I selected the Omni Mandalay in Las Colinas to celebrate our 1st wedding Anniversary.
We enjoyed every minute of the 4 day stay, it was wonderful! One thing that I failed to check was the price of the breakfast buffet in the hotel. I think that $79.00 for 2 people to eat mediocre breakfast food was too pricey. A couple of times when we left our room, upon arrival, we could not enter our room and had to get new key cards. There were also a few times that the hot water ran out and the tub drain was clogged. However, the staff fixed the problems immediately, (without a call from us) so I guess we weren't the only ones experiencing plumbing problems.
The hotel concierge booked our dinner plans and also upon arrival we had champagne, chocolate cake and rose petals in our room. This was a beautiful, romantic gesture and all for free! I booked Gondola Adventures as a surprise to my husband and thank God the weather was beautiful. Our 1st Wedding Anniversary will be one that we will remember for the rest of our lives! Thanks Omni Mandalay for such a beautiful experience and a special thanks to Countess at the front desk and Junior in Loss Prevention....
My husband and I were married at this property and go here for our resting weekends.
Went to Trevis for coffee and dessert....terrible service and expensive too.
Staff was great clean rooms fast service.pool was great fresh towel and sheets every day. Loved the window veiw of the city.
Very nice place to stay with great accommodations for personal or business occasions, food and ample bar room.
Very nice hotel right off of Lake Carolyn. The rooms are very nice and if you get a room on the East side of the complex, you can see uptown Dallas in the distance. If you stay here, I highly recommend checking out the Italian restaurant downstairs as it is delicious!
very big, great decor, party friendly. all-around high class.
This hotel is beautiful! The decor is inviting. I stayed in a King room on the 9th floor. The bed and pillows are very soft and comfortable. It's easy to adjust the temperature in the room. The system is very responsive once you adjust it.
The only challenge I had was with the preinstalled chromecast service on the TV. It was meant to allow me to cast streaming content from my phone to the TV. However, I kept getting a message that it was attempting to connect to a different room number than mine. It never worked. So I just watched netflix on my phone.
I would still happily stay there again.
E
Don t stay there. Horrible customer service.
Good service, and fair accommodations. The area is undergoing a transformation with new shops and the Toyota Music venue a few blocks away.
Comfortable bed & many amenities. It's a great place for business travelers.
I was here for a business meeting, so I didn't use much of the hotel outside the room and meeting, but the room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable! Room service is pricey, but they delivered quickly.
Awesome views from most rooms. Beautiful property with classy rooms. Walking distance from great restaurants and things to do. Nice.
Nice hotel with nice rooms. Feels a little dated but everything in good shape. Right next to the canal.
This is one our favorite hotels in Dallas but this 3 star is specifically for the security management who decided not to open the pool area because of lightning in the area. Can you see the lightning because I can t.
Exceptional Facilities, Excellent, Friendly and Accommodating Staff
Love staying at the Omni Mandalay. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Highly recommend!
No the most luxurious but is OK! Grate views to the canal no mater which side of the hotel your room is. Very small bar. The food is good but pretty expensive.
The area around the Omni is developing quickly. great restaurants are close by and the door staff have a shuttle service to get you to nearby food and entertainment. The hotel is undergoing some renovations of the spa and fitness areas so there is plenty of commotion during the day.
Guest rooms and lobby are very nice. Hotel staff are professional and nice as well. The "M" Bar (sports bar) missed the mark. It's way overpriced and they have no draft beer on tap. The shrimp tacos were undercooked and cold...tasteless and bland. The fries were also cold. Service was a bit slow so I didn't want to complain and wait another 30 minutes to get my food.
Good price for an Omni brand hotel. The room is spacious and clean, but a little old. Not a lot of things around.
I went to the Omni Mandalay Hotel with a couple of friends to have dinner at Trevi's. It was my first time at the restaurant. The food was excellent and was only out-matched by their service. Our waiter was very attentive, timely, and took care of everything we needed. Our night was superb and I will definitely be returning.
Very beautiful property! Hotel is quite lovely and clean. Extremely courteous, knowledgeable and helpful staff! If I could give more stars I would, highly recommend the Omni Mandolay Hotel at Las Colinas!
I honestly expected more. For the price you really aren t getting much. Parking is horrible and you have to pay for internet unless you are a special member. The front desk staff was very rude. Needless to say I will not be coming back here. Really wish I could have just cancelled my reservation.
The location was great, right off the freeway, the room was nice and roomy, service was friendly, checking in and out was easy and quick even the valet attendant was great they had my car to me within 3 minutes. It was a very nice stay.
Excellent choice very well located, definitely recommended.
Quiet, clean room with a nice view. Unfortunately, the pool was cloudy and the hot tub's heating was broken so we did not get to use these amenities. A bit disappointed considering the price we paid to stay at a 4 star hotel. The pool/hot tub issues were reported but not fixed during our stay. We were really looking forward to using these amenities. Valet was extremely slow and understaffed. We wound up parking our vehicle ourselves even though we paid for valet service of time. We checked in early online to avoid waiting in line at arrival. Our keys were not ready so we spent 10 minutes waiting in line to check in. Aesthetically, this hotel is outdated. It still looks like the last update was during the 1970's. Carpet desperately needs to be replaced among other things. As an Omni Select Member, I can't reccomend staying at this particular Omni. We won't be returning. The Omni in Fort Worth is much better.
Hotel is pretty much under construction, as it needs to be!
They take very good care of you.View and water walk was great...
Love everything about this hotel! The service is great. On site restaurant, Trevi's, is delicious. Rooms are beautiful. Great location!
I have stayed here on and off for several years. What sets this Las Colinas hotel apart from the others is the comfortable beds with four real pillows and it's customer service. By registrating for their reward program, extra services like: automated check in at the front desk (you walk up and pick up your keys), morning beverage at your door side, two pressed items, free WiFi, etc. This is an older hotel so I had some issues with the AC later in the day but maintenance was in my room within ten minutes to address the matter. Shuttle service is available to near by locations. And at the end or beginning of the day head to the gym or the heated outdoor pool or spa.
Service is good. Room smells a little musty. WiFi is available if you pay.
Beautiful hotel with the nicest staff I ve ever met.
The view is the best part. Nice water front. Breakfast is good. Dinner is meh.
The staff was very professional, but alittle disappointed in the room....it was nice from a far, but you can definitely see it needs a good amount of repairs....I'm going to the Omni in Dallas downtown so hopefully this hotel will be alot better
This is one of my favorite hotels. Rooms are huge, everyone is very friendly, breakfast buffet is very good and other restaurant food is not bad, albeit pricey, and shuttle service is very convenient even if it doesn't go all the way to the airport. I'm really only taking off 1/2 star because there's always some glitch every time I stay there - couple times were housekeeping issues, this time is was in the reservations process - but in the end they do make it right each time.
The hotel pays attention to the detail. The grounds and lobby are beautiful (and even smells good), the staff friendly, and the rooms are a fair balance of modern and elegant.
i thought that it would be alot nicer and fancier than it was the stay was good but charging 25 cents just to use the phone thats ridiculous. and the snacks in your room are way over priced thank goodness for the convienent store a block away.
It's a beautiful location with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff is very personable and helpful.
Meh, not worth to pay the extra bucks to stay at the Omni. this is a 2.5 star but just because the brand name they made it 4 stars for no reasons.
Las Colinas attractions. The promenade next to the hotel is the best.
It is near him freeway. There is a channel with Italian style that is beautiful.
The room and staff were great. We went for our 1 year anniversary. We were beyond surprised when we answered the door to free cake and a man saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY...Even though it was our anniversary and the plate said HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.. He was very kind and also somewhat entertaining since me and the young man laughed it off. The hotel seems better for a business stay, but we had a relaxing stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the layout of the room was nice. Thanks to the great staff who let us check in early after a long night of driving, with no hassle nor fee. We will definitely be back and the next time we will find something there to eat instead of going out in all that construction and traffic. My only complaint was paint in the tub was peeling up and the bidet toilet starting backing up, but it went back down. Yes, there is a bidet toilet which blew us away even though we didn't use it and yes, it very disgusting to be brushing my teeth and fecal matter starts bubbling up in the toilet next to you. I would give this stay a 4.5 out of 5 due to the price the room really cost and the toilet just being painted over and chipping. Also due to the unpleasant backup of the bidet and the tub also not properly draining when taking a shower.
I have postponed writing this review for years because the horrrible experience I had here was traumatizing. They can do nothing to remedy the ruin they made of my wedding day. (Deep breathe). My husband and I had just come from our wedding ceremony. No we didnt arrive in a limo, but we were in our tux and wedding dress(no mistaking where we just come from). As we drove up we saw 3 valets standing outside. We didnt know valet was complimentary so we asked where we could park and we were told anywhere. After making a loop around the garage twice", we approached the valets again asking where we might find parking (again we were not offered valet or told that it was complimentary. We were told again that there should be parking available on the basement floor. We finally found a spot and with our bags in hand, me in my wedding dress and heels, squeezed through the tiny stairwell up from the garage basement. When we finally made it to the lobby, I walked up to what I assumed was the check in desk. I was told curtly by the girl that this was concierges and she pointed to the desk adjacent to the "concierges" desk. Again, full wedding dress, veil, heels and no one has offered to take my bags and not one person in the lobby or front desk has offered congratulations to my new husband or I. They had trouble finding our reservation. Apparently, there was a big convention staying at the hotel and no accommodations had been set aside for us, less than "noteworthy"newlyweds. You cannot "do over" your wedding day. It is sad to me that this company whose goal is supposed to be to provide hospitality and customer comfort, let myself and my husband slip through the cracks. I had stated in my reservation that this was our wedding night yet we received no flowers, no special treatment, no bottle of sparkling juice, - not even a singular audible congratulations. The room was horrible. Musty, dusty, and damp smelling. From the curtains to writing desk, the rooms felt as though it hadn't been cleaned or used in months. It was on the 2nd to top floor in the corner of the building and the ice machine was right outside. I couldn't sleep as the noise churned outside all night. The TV didnt work and the only channel that would come in was playing the "oh so romantic", Austin Powers. All in all, I cried about this night for months. My husband was a fulltime student at the time and we didn't have money for a proper honeymoon. This horrible, traumatizing, damp, no frills, night at the Mandalay was all i have to remember my wedding night. I will never return or give them a single recommendation.
I don't think I'll ever stay here again. Stay in a lot of hotels however this one was by far one of the worst. Most of the staff was nice however it was not that clean, needs TLC, and they charge for everything you can think of. Surprised they didn't charge for towels, not over exaggerating. Next time I have to stay over in Las Colinas I will be choosing another place to stay.
