I'd rate the products Nordstrom Rack carries in the 4-5 star range. I've rarely been disappointed. However, regarding online ordering- I have placed 3 orders over the last 4 months- two of which were cancelled 4 days after ordering due to inventory error. The product shows as available online but zero actually exist. Almost every clothing item I own was ordered online from various retailers (well over 200 pieces), and this issue has only ever occurred with Nordstrom Rack. It is safe to say their IMS (invent. mgmt. sys.) is subpar at best. Also, you will wait 10 days (on average) to receive your order. Operationally, NR feels like a poorly ran outfit on the way out. Search Google and you'll see some related articles.

So, for the second time in 2 weeks, I do not get the shoes I was expecting and my money is tied up for a week waiting to be refunded. Thank goodness for the other well-known shopping giant who offers many of the same products IN STOCK, and much quicker shipping.

I went into the Nordstrom at the Galleria in Houston, TX on October 27, 2018 and experienced pure racism at its finest. My husband and I were at the women s shoe counter where there were two white customers being serviced. The young lady behind the counter who also was white waiting the customers with kindness and a smile. Once the customers where done with their transactions, the employee simply looked at me and then walked away. I asked if she was going to help me and she continued to walk away. I then became extremely irritated and said I know you see us standing here and you just walked away. Not even just a moment or I will be with you in minute. Just a blatant disregard of us standing at the counter. I then became more agitated when another white employee walk behind the counter and we were yet again ignored. I then raised the volume in my voice and stated that I DID NOT KNOW SKIN COLOR MATTERED AT NORDSTROM . The manager quickly came over to assist us at that point. I have been going to Nordstrom for years. I am a credit card holder and have always enjoyed their usually A1 customer service. I know this incident is not the normal treatment of a customer. I hope in the future that I will never face this type of treatment (racism) again. I could have understood if the store was busy and we were simply acknowledged. I am formly filing a complaint hoping that awareness is brought to these type of situations in the future.

I have been a loyal customer since the store opened at Westfield in Paramus,nj. Going to anniversary sale at its first one. It was awesome and exciting. Every year it has got worse, but stil went. It was our tradition. Merchandise got worse year after year.
Now, the sale going on during the pandemic and items online, is not good. Very confusing , and once again, horrible merchandise.
I put items in my wish list, deleted then to put in my bag now there is nothing in my wish list or bag. After speaking to a lovely customer service person, she explained bc of my level I can t order until a certain date. Now this brings up a very important issue. By letting customers who spend the most money get to buy first. Those who are at a lower level shop later. This is DISCRIMINATION. We are all equal as in race.
Shame on you Nordstrom.
We all have equal rights.
The online catalog was difficult to maneuver through.

Literally the worst in terms of transaction! I placed an order with a gift card and paid the rest with my credit card. Later after the order shipped I see that they charged my credit card full price, and said there was no gift card used. But I have an confirmation email showing that I used a gift card, yet they refused to adjust the charges to my card. RETURNING the item, just going to Sephora for fragrance next time. You should do the same too, since Sephora's customer service is just amazing. WON'T be shopping online at Nordstrom, or even in store. It has really soured my experience with them.

I m very disappointed at Nordstrom WA after receiving the designer shoes - Gucci ace sneakers that was already used! I ordered from a Nordstrom store in my area- Walnut Creek,CA since they didn t have my size so an order was placed and received it after 3 days . The staff that packed the order did not check if the shoes are new . Nordstrom s policy on designer shoes are not returnable somehow this used shoes was accepted by someone there without checking . Of course , I m going back to the store today and address this issue . I m just so dismayed at how poorly the management on handling returns and also for not checking on items before shipping it out . It s such an inconvenience for a person like me with less mobility and have to go back to the store get this settled .

I ordered a sweater a month ago and it took forever to get help on my order. When I finally did, they were like, oops we lost it but basically said it was my problem because it was their shipping partner that lost it, but offered to send me a completely different size. I ultimately got a refund, but the customer experience was very poor. "We sent you a tracking number" is not a resolution, particularly since the tracking number had not been updated for 17 days.

I would love to give them ZERO stars, but I'm required to provide at least one. I am so ashamed of Nordstrom and their anti-democratic and un-American decision to drop designs by Ivanka Trump. I am proud to take my money elsewhere and support other companies who believe in the democratic process and who respect the decision of the people - not cry babies who had their feelings hurt because a candidate, and now President, said mean things. Shame on Nordstrom. I am disgusted.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, 0 Loyalty, y card was stolen. I have every single receipt to back it. Someone who was dumb enough to use my gift card with their Nordstrom information, yet they can t compensate me the 367 dollars back. So basically with proof of ownership and them having the person who used my card as a client. They still didn t do a thing about it. Unbelievable was on the phone for over 3 hours getting lied to by multiple managers and supervisors (Emily and Stacey). They finally told me they will compensate me because it d still showing a remaining balance of the 367, she pawned me off and just left for the day. So once I get to the department they were unable to do anything and when I asked to speak to the supervisor Stacey again, she miraculously just left the office for the day. I can t believe they are fighting me over something so petty for their accounting team and favoring their thief member. Instead of a loyal member who has spent thousands of dollars their. Long story short Nordstrom s lost my respect, loyalty, and trust. Disappointed.

OH WOW! I was so shocked seeing such a LOW rating ...

OH WOW! I was so shocked seeing such a LOW rating for Nordstrom (2.7) really. However, after my recent visit to the Tyson Corner store and reading other reviews just gives more reasons to start believing Nordstrom is no longer worth the Time nor Money. I constantly get compliments from family and friends for the sense of Style that Nordstrom provides me, but to how I was handled today as a customer makes me want switch to Neiman Marcus rating score (4.4). Where I would properly spend the same amount but nonetheless I will be SATISFIED as A Customer. Will story time, I had gone to the Tyson corner store on 11/16/17 to purchase some cloth. I picked up few items and made my way to the check out where a cashier on training had helped me, I believe her name was Sindri. Although, the process was super long but I had no problem because she made me feel well taking care of. The reason why it took a while was because I was attempting to give Nordstrom a 2nd chance and re-opening my Credit card. To which it was declined however I called it in right then and there to question why? It didn't make any sense I use to be a Member. The representative Jennifer was beyond AWSOME! She reviewed the Credit application and approved it RIGHT AWAY. I bought my things and left. Than I thought what better place to buy UGG shoes than Nordstrom. Every year I add a new UGG shoe to my Collection. On 11/22/17 I make my way to the shoes department on the first floor where Fareed was helping me, again I believe he was slightly new but overall he helped me in getting what I came in for and was Very Professional too. I made my purchase and left with the pair of UGG boots. Came around THANKSGIVING 11/24/17 when I had planed to take the new UGG to style out with. Meets me a small problem where the shoes turned to be the ring size. The box that contained the boots had the right size (7), but the boots were (8). Mistakes happen I typically check before I purchase however Fareed was busy and I had a line behind me so I forgot to check the size, I saw the 7 on the box and thought YES that s the right size. This is where my problem started to develop, 11/28/17 I went back to exchange the boots to the correct size. I walk in to the store and I immediately felt happy I MUST SAY LOVED THE CHRISTMAS DECOR. Not too long before I walked to the shoes department on the second floor to ask for a manger. Maya greets me with 'How can I help you'. I said yes I have two questions one being is there a different between the first floor and second floor shoes department {to which Maya said no it doesn't matter}. I than said ok my second question is can I speak to a manger {to which my said I'm a manger}. I explained my reason for the visit, which was to exchange the shoes along that to the inconvenience to my time to get 10% off the total cost. Would have been an equal or lesser value to an employee discount it was not much (18 dollars off $181.00). Lets PAUSE, Her attitude was really what CHANGED MY HAPPINESS TO MADNESS. Maya as a manger was defiantly behaving as a new employ that didn't have customer service specialty at all, also I KNOW FOR FACT SHE IS NOT NEW. I have requested a manger during my last year of shopping there and she was the one who did not help. NOT ONCE BUT TWICE FAILED TO MAKE ME FEEL APPRECIATIVE, WELL TAKING CARE OF OR SLIGHTLY SATISFIED. Back to my story, Maya than tells me she is going to check and see if they have the boots in stock. I take myself to my favorite section to look at more UGG'S while I wait. Surprisingly Fareed who worked down stairs shows up with a smile and greets me. I didn't understand why he was there when I had walked in and specifically asked for the manager I get the representative who previously sold me the shoes. I felt like I was a problem to Maya that made no sense to me because it wasn't my first time needing her help or assistant as she claims to be "THE MANGER". When we go into a store and Request a Manger it's because we as customers want a higher level of understanding, unfortunately not HERE. RETURNED the UGG, and left.

I spent $900 and was given 4 small samples. I will look elsewhere on my next purchase. No assistance at all in that store. I had to round up someone to ask the location of the men's cologne. SMH

Nordstrom's used to be my favorite Department store prior to hearing news of the un American treatment of Ivanka Trump's clothing line.

With a new president trying to make many positive changes I feel this is a time where we need to stand United not Divided.

I used to think of Nordstrom as a higher-end store with quality customer service.

I now see Nordstrom's as nothing more than a sold-out overpriced department store struggling for attention - not caring about quality, classy garments at affordable prices for women of all ages.

I have been customer of Nordstrom, HauteLook and the Rack for many years. Recently I purchased a pair of shoes from HauteLook and before I even received the item, the piece dropped by $40. I called the HauteLook customer service, they refused to adjust the price because it s not their policy . Keep in mind I still have not received the item!! I will not be shopping at Nordstrom or any of its affiliates ever again. Bad business practices! So disappointed in a Company that I thought has exemplary customer service.

I was just informed by Nordstrom Rack that my online account would be terminated because I have returned too many items. This termination occurred despite being a loyal customer to Nordstrom stores for 20+ years.

They barred my account without asking why I return many items. I shop online because I do not have time to go to the store so I generally purchase several of the same type of item (e.g. dress, flat shoes) and keep one or two that fit best. Sometimes nothing looks or fits right - that is a challenge of buying clothes online. Nordstrom Rack also did not look at when I return them (generally within a week) or in what condition (in the original bag/box unused with all of the tags attached). Sometimes I go through I few rounds of buying/returning before I find the right item - it is called shopping.
When I called them for an explanation and to refute this ban, I was told that I have no recourse to unblock my account. I was told that I could still shop in the store (which is presicely what I am unable to do and why I shop online).
So much for good customer service...I deleted my subscriptions to Nordstrom....they now have lost a customer for good! #nordstrom #nordstromrack

Nordstrom and UPS: A day late and a dollar short for Christmas!

To be fair, it was really UPS trying their best to ruin Christmas, but Nordstrom did a lousy job explaining exactly why I wouldn t get my package in time for Christmas.

I placed the order 12/19 with a promise from Nordstrom that my package would be delivered by the latest, Saturday 12/23. For some reason the customer service representatives couldn t find a human being at UPS that would tell the truth as to why the package wouldn t be delivered until 12/26.

So, what do I get for spending $250 with Nordstrom. You guessed it, Nothing! No packages no presents to give my mom, niece, and sister. Nothing for Christmas!

Amazon will be getting all my future purchases. Nordstrom will never be able to match Amazon s customer service or their Logistics. I am truly disappointed that a company as large as Nordstrom couldn t manage delivering 3 pieces of jewelry in 4 days and instead took 7 days. And for my inconvenience, I was offered a lousy $20 gift card to Nordstrom. Keep your $20. I will never give you any of my future business.

Knocking off a star because of two slight gripes: 1) discount pants are awesome but are almost never the right length for my fit, 2) certain items, such as Herschel packs, are not available outside of the main store across the street. Other than that, I love the Ted Baker selection and the John Varvatos items I was able to snag at over 50% off. Definitely a must see if you are savvy and like deal hunting.

Ordered a pair of shoes that the stores do not stock. Shoes didn't fit well. Returned shoes. Waited almost 3 weeks and still no refund. Called customer service and they were supposed to put the refund on my CC. 5 days later, still no refund. Called again and was told they had to fill out paperwork and it had to go to more than one department and would take several days more to get refund, which will be over a full month from the date I shipped the shoes back. Nordstrom's used to be the king of customer service, but that is no longer the case. No wonder that Amazon is dominating retail. If I'd only ordered from Amazon, this would have been handled a month ago. Don't make the same mistake that I did, by ordering anything from Nordstrom's.

I would not want any of your CEO's to run my business, especially if there are shareholders!! Can you say - YOU'RE FIRED!! Pres. Trump only has goodwill for Americans- lower taxes, safe streets, jobs, and law-abiding people who respect our people, LAWS, and our country! Nordstrom used to be the benchmark of good customer service.
But Customer Service is now abysmal. They give you incorrect information just to get you off the phone. I have called six times, and each time they apologize but without any sincerity. And nothing gets done. You can tell that they can care less.
I no longer feel any customer loyalty to Nordstrom. They are like all of the other Department Stores.

I neither love or dislike this store as the few times I've visited this store was a quick in-n-out experience. I know what I went in for, and walked out with what I went in there for.

I understand theft occurs at these places, but not everyone a lighter shade of brown is a perpetrator. The staff needs to bring their discriminatory practices down a notch.

I've spent thousand's here and can attest the best service I've received is while trying on luxury shoes. Otherwise, when browsing, no employee acknowledged my presence. Unless I was being followed.

Nordstrom's sale credit policy has changed and is terrible. I work during the week and just noticed the new boots I received February 14 went on sale. Called to be given credit for the reduction on February 16 and was told since they no longer had my size in stock they could not give me credit. I asked them how they knew that they were out of my size when the sale started (which would mean I coincidentally bought the last pair), and they said it didn't matter, as long as they were out of my size at the time I called I could not receive credit for the sale price. Returning the boots.
Someone else will probably be able to buy them on sale.

I am so disappointed in the lack of service at this store coming from a strong background in retail sales and customer service Nordstrom's has always been held in high regard in the industry for its excellent customer service and I would think that this standard would spill over into The Rack as well but it clearly DOES NOT my friend who is blind went into the store and simply asked for some assistance in purchasing a gift this seemed to have cause a major problem and much confusion among the staff including the store manager and after a lot of wasted time my friend left the store empty handed and very disappointed for those of you not familiar there are laws in effect for the disabled that state that retail establishments provide them with assistance when asked I may have expected this from other stores but I am shocked not only about the lack of customer service but the lack of decency humanity and simple common courtesy demonstrated by the management and staff of Nordstrom Rack store located in the Oakridge Mall in San Jose California is just sad pathetic and unacceptable I will no longer be a customer.

I first visited the Seattle Nordstrom in 1989. Sense then I purchased multiple items across 4 different States, including Suits, Slacks, Shirts, Ties, Shoes, Coats, Belts & more. However, I am now disappointed with the Owners/Management for making the political statement before the world rejecting our President. This was hateful toward your customers with different views. We do not need Nordstorm to preach to us or shame us for our beliefs. We only require quality products, friendly service & a safe environment shop/spend money. I will no longer shop at Nordstrom or Rack again. I can dress myself somewhere else with no problem.

You would think they would give college students job opportunities, but they don t . For year and half now I have been applying , and I ve gotten phone interview and face to face interviews. Once I mention to them I m attending to college they disqualified me. I have been willing to get school schedule that would work with them, but they required open availability . You think they would want somebody with an education, somebody who is looking for a career but they don t . All the hiring managers are super rude and I have never met nice one . They look at people as if they were inferior . No wonder why they always hiring, they cannot keep employees . People don t leave companies, they leave their managers .Very disappointed !

Why have I been on the phone for 45+ minutes? Not only have I been waiting nearly an hour now, but was sent the completely incorrect dress and wrong size that I needed to wear for a wedding this weekend, and now I m having trouble reaching customer service to correct this issue. I understand that the whole covid 19 thing has bogged things down, but quality of services shouldn t be like this. I really wanted this dress as I am the maid of honor/witness for this 5 person ceremony :(
