MRO - INEFFICIENT, MISMANAGED Patient Info service

Call to MRO to follow up on Notice received stating Patient INFO Delay Notification.
Poor and conflicting information with Elizabeth who failed to provide answers to my questions about “there is a delay in processing requests”. “Requests are processed in order received”. This was repeated several times. Their phone message states my request was closed 4/16/24, a day after the 4/14/24 date on the mailed notice I received. After drilling down, tryingto get straight answers to questions like was there a hack, no. When will this delay be rectified? When will I receive what is after all MY PATIENT INFO? No specific answer. Eventually after I expressed my unequivocal annoyance, displeasure I was told, well they need my physicians Fax #. Why is that not included in NOTICE OF DELAY they sent me and WHY did you not mention this ten minutes ago?
Increasingly annoyed I give MRO the doctors’ FAX and PHONE. Only then does she add they need a signed written request from me to FAX my medical info.
REALLY? MRO has the original signed request from me, to share info with my physician. Now, after I call, am on the phone bringing up issue after issue with person supposed to assist me, does she add that they need a written, signed letter from me in order to fax my doctor the info I requested with a digital authorization letter I was given by the physician who requested tests.
What game is this? How do they get away with disregard for other people’s lives, their health at stake from intentional delay to share patient with relevant physicians for follow up?
How many have had to deal with these corrupt, unethical companies? Clearly they have no good intention when it comes to the needs of the patients as long as they make money. Perhaps they should be prevented from making money if they cannot be counted on to do their job properly.

Heads up! As a former employee, I can tell you that NONE of their employees are certified/licensed to release medical records! They couldn't train us properly to do the job and treated most of us like dogs! They are a THIRD PARTY medical release company! They chastised employees who had trouble grasping the concept due to poor training. They made fun of employees who asked questions they felt were stupid! (One employee quit on the spot because their was question was actually misunderstood (in my opinion) and they embarrassed her at a meeting!) Mentally draining job, trash/ racist management and employees at Norristown, PA and Hurst, TX locations! Patients, they don't care about the security of your records! They are quantity over quality type of company. If you need to request records, it's best to contact the facility directly! It's a typical unprofessional call center!

Truly terrible copy service. Customer service is unacceptably inept. I was told today by a customer service representative of MRO Corp that they often take 1 MONTH to scan in a request for records. The only explanation for this is they have a lot of work. Ask for manager and I was told NO. Said she would leave a message for someone to call back.

As a paralegal i deal with many different records companies. I consider MRO to be the worst. Their emails of when records are ready are useless - "ON WHO?" The login system rarely works. Their password lost system doesn't work. Their user support is virtually non-existent. Whenever possible I steer our clients away from medical providers who use MRO. They have killed too many of our cases.

It does not get much worse than this company. I had a simple request; medical records. Instead of receiving the medical records I have received one email stating they're working on it, then another email (after I sent nearly 10 emails if not more), stating that they sent the records. Clearly they did not, or even if they did, the records were clearly never received. Why then email me saying they were sent instead of just sending them! Obviously they were not. Horrible horrible company. I STILL have not received my records.

I attempted to request my medical documents in early morning it is currently june 11 mro after 4 months i would expect to have these as i committed to the Marine corps so they needed my medical history. well obviously it's June already my friends in highschool that joined the Marines with me have already left for basic training. This is not fair to be able to do to people because reading through other reviews i im not the only one. I called mro and they told me that my medical documents have not even began to collect my documents. The govt really should reconsider their contact with this company because obviously they can't do their job properly.

This company deserves ZERO stars. I sent over a request for a simple immunization record on August 25th. The information came in on September 7th. 14 DAYS FOR A RESPONSE!! In the meantime, the employer that was requiring this proof of immunization has moved on to another candidate. I am strongly considering legal action.

If you are a hospital, please consider going with a different provider. This is wholly unacceptable.

WORSE place to work and deal with getting your records!!! They keep people that has multiple complaints and whose name is always sent to Compliance at the Hospital they work. Their solution on someone who smokes weed, do nothing and hardly shows up to work, is to promote them! They are HORRIBLE!!

No doubt MRO is able to undercut its competition with pricing it sets for its medical provider clients, because it routinely fails to abide by federal and state specific pricing guidelines for medical records copying. MRO routinely overbills for medical records requested from its medical records providers. Even when the billing errors are brought to the company's attention, and corrections requested, MRO frequently refuses in direct violation of federal regulations or state statutes. Meanwhile, the patient's records are held hostage until full prepayment is made.

Horrible company! They will send your medical records with no tracking number! My husband medical records are lost and they keep telling me they do not get tracking number from USPS. Who in the world would do this! Idiotic company that have no information where the hell is my husbands records. They will not let me go to their office and pick up his documents. This is not their policy. Seriously, you don't care that you can not track where people's medical records are but won't let me stop by and pick them up? You will be reported

OUR OFFICE REQUESTED MEDICAL BILL & MEDICAL RECORDS, PER MRO DIRECTIONS. 2 SEPARATE HIPAA'S & LETTERS. 8 WEEKS LATER A FAX FOR NO RECORD WAS RECEIVED FROM DANIELLE W. "NO RECORDS FOUND". WE EXPLAINED YES THERE ARE RECORDS. DANIELLE "THERE ARE RECORDS BUT YOUR HIPPA ONLY ASK FOR BILL'S" . RECENT SAME HIPAA. RECORDS WILL BE FAXED. NEVER RECEIVED BILL OR RECORDS TO THIS DAY FROM REQUEST DAY OF FEB 12, 2020.

Useless! I understand when a customer service representative can't help me because of legal reasons, but if you keep repeating "I can't help you" over and over when I'm asking you different questions, you're simply choosing to ignore me. Not to mention you sent incorrect medical records to the location I requested, talk about violation of privacy. To top it all off, I waited three weeks for you to send incorrect medical records.

If I could leave negative stars I would,.....this company works for dr offices all over the states,I live in Colorado my dr resigned so my new dr had me sign for release of my records this company charges 6.50 for 2 pages????and that's their "reasonable cost however knowing that requests from provider to provider isn't supposed to charge for those purposes soon I will be reporting this company to our states attorney general,I suggest that anyone having to deal with the same things should also report this company as there are elderly people and people that may not understand the laws there to protect them so they are being taking advantage of,that should be stopped! It's not right and since my nursing injury I'm disabled and depend on little income so medicaid patients having to pay to have their records sent from one doc to another is disgusting.

Would leave zero stars if I could. Incompetent employees. They are a nationwide company and dont even know how to follow state laws and regulations. They send out invoices and when you call to ask what's it's for they cant even figure out what they a trying to bill for. Useless providers should stop wasting their time and money hire a competent service.

It took 10 days to get a link sent for my medical records. Once I went to the link I was supposed to put in my birth date and last name. I searched the first day for a couple hours and the second day my girlfriend and I both searched for 3 hours each. Neither of us could find a place to input my last name and birthdate to retrieve my mere 50 pages of medical records. It's now Saturday morning December 30th and I only had till the 1st to get my medical records to the State of Florida for a very serious license. The company does not have any kind of help except Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. there's nothing on their website that helps you to find what you need. The only thing their website does it's consistently talk about how great they are over and over and over and over and over. I hope they don't get paid for this kind of stuff because it's a very very terrible organization

I requested medical records from MRO on October 2, and as of 10/29, I still have not received these records. My family and I have called multiple times, and have been given different information each time. The customer service representatives that my family and I have spoken to have been rude and not considerate of our situation. I do not even want to give one star, but zero stars is not an option. My family and I are extremely disappointed in the service we received, and do not recommend this corporation to anyone else. We also cannot believe that our reputable, local hospital uses this service for patient records.

I hate to even give one star. This company is completely and utterly useless! I'm so disappointed that my healthcare provider decided to sign a contract with them. I don't understand what's so difficult about transferring medical records. My former doctor's office, my new doctor's office and I have been trying since January to get them to transfer my medical records to no avail and it's March! Still nothing! I very seriously doubt it takes nearly 3 months to fax a patients records. I can't even get a supervisor or manager on the phone to discuss the issue. Absolutely ZERO customer service. I need MRO to do their job so that I can see my new doctor! I would also like for a Supervisor or Manager to respond so that we can resolve the issue. Healthcare providers are better off without useless MRO Corp.

Terrible service. They will hang up on you if you ask anything too difficult. I simply asked if they supplied billing records and then the agent hung up on me. Also, upon receipt of the medical records I received for my client no password was given. It takes about 15-20 minutes of your time to get into contact with anyone at the business so that they can speak with you. I'd suggest Unity Point Health have someone else handle its medical/billing records for the patients. I handle a good chunk of Personal Injury cases and this place is not great to work with. Consequently, I have to contact Unity Point to attempt to resolve this matter. Lastly, this is the first time I have ever done a google review. The medical providers need to know that this is not a good place for patients to get their records through.
