I bought a Civic type R and took it here to have a...

I bought a Civic type R and took it here to have an inspection done to make sure everything was good. They charged $160 for the inspection and told me two of the tires had tread below the legal limit and one of them actually had a nail in it. So I took it back to the dealership I bought the car from (Ford dealership) and not only did all my tires have considerably more tread than foundation told me but there wasn't even a nail in any of the tires. It's pretty clear they lied to me to try and sell me some tires I didn't need which is very disappointing. I'm sure they do good work just make sure you actually need what you're paying for before you get work done here.

The good, the bad, and the ugly - in reverse order.
The UGLY: Nothing really - but I'm always a bit suspicious of totally glowing reviews. The BAD: I was interested in a Honda Fit. The website showed 6 in stock - 2 from 2013 and 4 new ones in stock. Stopped by the next day, having left work early on Friday to find only 1 new one left - with a manual transmission. I know they are currently "hot" and are selling quickly, and I don't know how often the website is updated, but it "felt" like a come-on. This is the only reason I am not giving it5 stars.
The GOOD: Everything else. Really. I just wanted to see one and get in and out. John M did not pressure me at all. When I said I'd return Sat with spouse, he called me at home that same evening to tell me he'd located one in the color I wanted. CONCLUSION: The dealership TEAM literally all worked together to make the deal happen: trade-in negotiations, paperwork & financing expedited by Noah), as well as the folks in service - they readied it for pickup that same afternoon. And here I thought they'd want to keep that Honda Fit in stock as long as possible - at least through the weekend to show...
The BEST: The icing on the cake was the 2 ice cold water bottles and vase of flowers in the car. And Noah chasing down that duplicate title. I would definitely recommend this Honda Dealership (family members have used it for years, but this was my first experience). Thanks for making it all happen, John!

Bad experience - salesperson called and wanted to make a deal .i left my family on a Sunday to get it done . They had me sign on the dotted line . Had me fill out credit application . Then manager ( Joe) came in and said couldn t do the deal . Lack of integrity . Called GM and explained what happened - no call back . Not recommended .

Just purchased a pre-owned Honda CR-V from Motorca...

Just purchased a pre-owned Honda CR-V from Motorcars Honda and it was an overall awesome experience. My dad and I worked with John McCumber as our salesman and he was very helpful. He didn't pressure us in any way, but simply answered our questions in a knowledgeable and thorough way. He encouraged us to test drive the car as much as we wanted and spend as much time as we needed to make an informed decision. He was also very honest and seemed interested in me finding the RIGHT car for myself rather than just getting me to buy a car so he could make a sale. When I went to pick up my new CR-V, there were roses inside the car in appreciation for buying a car from them. This obviously was a really cool gesture that put the cherry on top of a really fabulous car-buying experience. Not to mention, I absolutely love my car!

Even though the location for this dealership might not be right off the highway, thus making it less accessible than others, it is well worth it to go here if you want a satisfying experience, no added pressure or stress, and an honest company to work with...which to me is the number one most important thing when making any major purchase.

Beware of this dealership!! I purcahsed 2015 Honda...

Beware of this dealership!! I purcahsed 2015 Honda civic from their dealership they showed me some car report (not carfax) which stated car has a clean history however when I was trying to sell my vehicle recently I got to know that car had some damage before I purchased it. Somehow I sold my car and now when I'm trying to contact them for the refund of GAP insurance they are not entertaining me. All I want is to get my address updated so that I can get my refund cheque to new address but they won't do that. I've moved out of country now and don't know how to get my money back.Help yourself and stay away from this dealership. They will value you only until you buy a vehicle from them but not after that.I'm so disappointed .Trying to contact their finance department from past 1 month but they won't pick up my phone.

Edit 1 : I've sent an email to the address mentioned below but still no response. I don't know what to do to get a response from them.

Our car was totaled when we were in an accident last week and we were left with the task of replacing our SUV with a minivan in a tight financial situation. After researching we decided the safest option for our family would be a Honda Odyssey. After a lengthly internet search we kept finding that Motorcars Honda had the best pricing by far. We went to see a few options and were helped by Rich K. He was very helpful and knowledgable and even took multiple calls from me when he wasn't at work! Rich was very prompt in arranging everything we needed and helped us find the perfect low-mileage used Odyssey with great features. When we arrived at the end of the day to complete the purchase process he not only had flowers for me but also bought us dinner and had it delivered since we had a bit of a wait! The dealership is very updated and innovative as well and has lots of great options for keeping you busy while you wait. I'd highly recommend Motorcars Honda and Rich!

From initial contact to delivery of the vehicle and beyond Joe was a straight shooter, and delivered on all promises. When I noticed a minor issue after taking delivery, Joe took care of it no questions asked. I have been a customer of Motorcars Honda for almost 20 years. Of course, I expect competent service. However, I would like to say that the service I received from Gloria in the purchase of my new car is truly exemplary!!! In a word...she was AWESOME! Gloria not only found the perfect color I wanted......but she had it ready for me just when she said she would!!! She was patient, friendly and kind. She took the time to show me how to operate all the new features that weren't available in my old car! The fresh flowers were a nice touch! TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE BUT HERE FOR SERVICE.

This is the worst service department I have ever encountered as the service was not performed properly, It took nearly 2 hours to change my oil on a new car, and I feel my time is wasted every visit. I never receive updates on how my work is proceeding and it is like a bad reality TV episode bringing your car there.

They are known for their coffee and cookies which is obviously because their service and customer support is horrible.

They give me free car wash tickets when I am upset and ask me to lie that the service is great and deserves 10's which it doesn't. I am a platinum member and find myself taking my car to Take 5 Oil Changes because I can't spend half a day in this service Bermuda Triangle.

I recently took my car in for an air pressure sensor light. It took 2 valet appointments and 3 service appointments to finally fix the light. Numerous wrong answers were given and after 8 hours the dealer made me replace a perfectly good tire that was still never returned. They are still horrible.

Love my new Honda CR-V and everyone at Honda Motorcars, especially Rich Klimkowski! I was content with my 2004 Jeep Liberty but beginning to worry about the mileage and maintenance . . . Rich understood my financial situation and constraints but promised me a lease and financing that would work for me & then made it happen. Even though the color I wanted was not on the lot they went out of their way to find me the exact vehicle I wanted. This was the first car I've picked out & bought myself, so it meant a lot to me that everyone was so happy to help me!! I'll definitely recommend Rich & Honda Motorcars to my family and friends, and plan on returning there regularly for their fabulous service!!

Mike Lesko was so helpful and really made our experience at Motorcars an easy one. They were so accommodating of our two small children. We felt they were very up front and honest with us regarding our trade-in value and were willing to negotiate to help us get where we needed to be. Best of all they delivered our new car to our house an hour away after making some requested fixes to the car for us! From start to finish everyone we encountered was cheerful and pleasant and never made us feel uncomfortable.

I had my car serviced at Foundation on Aug. 26, I made the APPT. for 8:00 a.m. I dropped off my car at 8:02 a.m. and was given a link to track the progress of the service. at 12.15 I called the service rep to find out when would my car be looked at, he did not answer the call, at 1:15 I called again and finally had to ask for the GM of the dealership, he did not answer the phone, I luckily got his secretary Mary who got my service rep. to call me and she also called me back. I told her I was unhappy that my car wasn't even taken back until 1:15 and I had an appt! I asked her to relay it to the GM and she said she would bring it to his attention. My service rep. finally called me (after Mary talked to him) and told me they have to fit cars in, what do they have to fit in when u have an appt? car wasn't done until about 4;30, when I picked it up the paper work said I got a complimentary car wash, they forgot to do that, no car wash. Then I received 3 emails telling me to watch for a survey and I should give them perfect score, if not call them to discuss it. Well the G.M. knew I was unhappy and he didn't take the time to call me, why would I call them. Unorganized and paperwork makes it look like you get free car wash when u don't Last time at Foundation!!

My wife and I recently purchased a 2013 Honda Civic EX from Motorcars Honda in Cleveland Heights. I had spent a lot of time doing on-line comparisons of cars and prices and had decided to get a Honda. We compared e-prices with several other dealers and decided to buy at Motocars. Our decision was based on a number of factors. Chief among these is the fact that sales do not generate commissions for the salespeople. I think that changes the buying/selling environment dramatically; the tone was clearly friendly and informative . That certainly increased my trust in our salesperson Ken Rainey and in the deal they offered. There was no high pressure, which turns me off; no pressure to buy up; no pressure to make a decision. What a novelty no pressure. Ken was wonderful during the entire process. We liked that we had an itemized offer sheet in hand (first time in over forty years of buying cars). Another factor was location Motocars is within walking distance from our house. But had the final price of the car been out of line with other prices, we would have gone to another dealer. We had done that before. But they nearly matched the lowest of other offers. Once that happened we were sold on Motorcars. Each step of the process was easy and without pressure. My wife and I are happy both with the car, the car-buying process and Heights Motorcars Honda. We would buy another car there.

The people who work there just want money of customers , I was losing air in my right rear tire and they said nail is on the sidewall of tire that they cannot fix it and gave $175 to replace it and I took it to Walmart & they said that nail in the middle of the tire and they fixed it for $10. Wow wat a worst service provider.

Found via internet, very casual atmosphere greeted without corralling, at my leisure found Ray I explained I never drove a Accord and wanted to, had my eye in a low mileage Accord which was already sold. Ended up driving two older versions which were impressive. Ray answered every question if he didn't know he got answers, so helpful. Further discussions revealed a really good warranty program included in less than 100k vehicles that blew me away. In addition to Honda this dealership itself offers no that lasts as long as you own the car. An exceptional additional warranty. All in all, worth going here because the philosophy and the people show integrity. Ken B

Took my CR-V in for service 9/5/2020. I was hesitant about going in for service because of COVID-19. Upon arrival I see everyone wearing mask which eased my mind about my choice to come for service. Ashley Turczynski signed me in and took care of me during the time I was there for service. Ashley explained EVERY item that the technician said needed to be done. This was not a cheap service call. I was actually shown under my car and saw the repairs that were needed. Everything couldn t be done that day because it was Saturday and there were parts they had to order. Ashley T is such a doll. I been coming to this dealership since 1999. I purchased several cars from Motorcars never had a problem. This was my first visit since changed to Foundation Honda. Completely satisfied and the car runs like new. There was one small discrepancy after I drove my car home and that straightened out.
Never had an issue with any of my service from this Honda dealership.

He provided honest feedback along the way which made me feel like I could trust his judgment. As usual, another great experience with MotorCars Honda in Cleveland Heights, Ohio!

I ve been working with Joe B, and now Claira P, for over 10 years, and I just drove away with my third car from Motorcars Honda. Joe and Claira are great to work with and both are very knowledgeable in the products, and always help to find the best options and pricing for you.

While there and throughout the process, I always feel like I m being well taken care of, and everyone is courteous and kind. There is a nice selection of both new and used cars to consider, and the new upgraded facilities are both very comfortable and eco-friendly.

I ve also worked with both the Parts and Service departments from time to time over the years, and have enjoyed excellent care and service. And without question, Scott C in Parts is the ultimate go-to guy whenever you need anything at all for ANY car, Honda or otherwise. If you need parts, ask for Scott, he knows his stuff!

From the outstanding facility itself to the superb sales team and always accommodating service department, Motorcars Honda is the best auto dealership around. I've purchased/leased automobiles for nearly 20 years and have never been anything but 100% satisfied with every aspect of my experience. Joe Bencivenni has been my sales agent for the entire length of my time with Motorcars and you simply couldn't ask for a greater guy to do business with. Combined with the excellent service department and the extremely welcoming and comfortable customer service/waiting area, there's no possible way I'd consider going anywhere else for my vehicle. As long as Joe is with Motorcars and Honda continues to deliver an excellent car in a variety of models that works for my family, I'll be returning again and again. If you're interested in a Honda and you're not exploring options with Motorcars, you're missing out. Great people, great dealership.

I have been a loyal Motorcars customer ever since ...

I have been a loyal Motorcars customer ever since I bought my first car 16 years ago. Before me, my parents were also loyal Motorcars customers. I have always used Motorcars for service as well, however after my last experience in the service dept, I will not be giving one more dime to Motorcars.
A few points I take issue with:
1. I was told my battery was testing low and needed replaced. My battery is 1 year old (purchased elsewhere). When I went back to the place I bought it from, and they tested it, the reading was normal. Clearly a ploy by Motorcars to try to sell me on something they saw in my records that I had never replaced there.
2. No sooner did I drive away that I heard a new noise coming from my car. I returned to find out that they broke something and I needed a new part for my heater, which Motorcars said they would take care of for me. They told me the part would be in on Tuesday and to return anytime, no appt needed. I returned on Tuesday, only to be turned away because they are just too busy. Great way to take care of a customer who had to return because they broke something that wasn't broken when I initially went in for service.
3. Rude service agents- after dishing out $1200 to them, the service agent didn't even have the decency to hand me my card back. Instead he made a slide with the paperwork and slide it to me across the desk. The gesture was rude.
4. No loyalty to longstanding customers- A Motorcars sales agent encouraged me to ask for a discount on my service since I was a long time customer. He told me the service writers regularly give up to 20% discounts to customers. When I politely asked my agent (Adam), he ignored my question. Didn't even acknowledge it. When I asked again, he told me that they don't just give discounts to give discounts, and what he could offer me was a free carwash---which comes complimentary to anyone who has any service work done at Motorcars.
5. Inaccruate estimates- Once I was told I needed my motor mount replaced, I asked Adam to recalculate what my total would be. He used his computer calculator to come up with a total, but when I went to check out the bill was $100+ higher than what he told me it would be. Of course he didn't honor the original quote, he just said oopps, guess I calculated wrong. Note- make sure you get ALL estimates in WRITING.
6. Overpriced, but I guess you should expect that at the dealership.

I recently leased my second vehicle from Motorcars Honda and the experience that I had was beyond exceptional. I worked primarily with Jose Quiles, who was absolultely incredible. From the moment I walked in he made sure that I felt at home, and went above and beyond to make sure that my lease process was seamless. Jose stayed late to help me test drive the vehicle that I was looking to lease and get the paperwork process started. He even came in the next day on his day off just to help me finalize everything, and to make sure that everything went smoothly. I truly felt that my business was not only valued, but a priority, and that my experience as a customer was most important. Debbie was also extremely instrumental in getting me into the car I wanted at the best possible rate. Overall I don't believe that 5 stars can truly capture the quality of my experience with Jose Quiles and the staff of Motorcars Honda. They are definitely the best Honda dealership in Cleveland, and truly are the epitome of excellent customer service.

My first experience at Foundation was terrific. I went in for a repair covered under extended warranty. Not only did they replace the part for free, but they were able to do it the same day. Every Foundation employee I encountered was extremely helpful and welcoming. Foundation is quickly becoming my preferred local Honda dealership - although I didn't buy my car from them, I'll definitely look there first when I'm in the market for a new car.

I had a headlight out in my 2002 Honda Odyssey van. I purchased the van from you 11 years ago and, other than when we are traveling on a cross country odyssey ourselves and not nearby, we've had all the service required to keep it a fine well-running car with you right here in Cleveland Hts.

Jacquis Harris approached me as I pulled up. When he heard that all I needed was a headlight, he walked me to the parts area (hard to find with new construction underway) and told me to meet him back at my vehicle after I purchased the bulb, and he would install the light himself.

I was on my way in minutes. You made a happy customer again.

Today I brought the van back for an overdue oil change before we must urgently leave to drive to Texas to care for my Father-in-law who has taken ill. I was told they found nearly $4,000 worth of work that needed to be done to make the vehicle roadworthy for our trip. I am doing it despite jeers from friends and others who claim I waste money getting repairs done here. My experience here bears out that I make the right decision each time: to have the work done.

John McCumber, the sales representative I worked with, was excellent. He patiently and confidently answered all my questions and encouraged me to thoroughly test drive the car before making a decision. We just took our new CR-V on a long road trip, and everything John said about the vehicle's quality was absolutely true! I would highly recommend giving John and Motorcars Honda a chance if you are looking for an outstanding car buying experience.

The facility is well-staffed and has a comfortable area for the patrons. The mechanics are very detail-oriented and took the time to walk through the issues with me. Angie was attentive and friendly. The other reps were as well. My only issue is that it was difficult to get a definitive answer regarding quotes and coverage of costs such as that of the rental car. I prefer that information upfront.

Had a great experience with the old dealership Honda Motors, but when I went in to look at a new Civic I walked around the dealership for almost 15 minutes without being helped, and when I was, the person I spoke with for 10 minutes told me she wasn't in sales and I'd have to talk to a salesperson about buying a car. What a waste of time. My father just referred me to his dealership in Bedford and it looks like I'll have my first American-made car when the Holidays are over. Apparently Honda Motors was one of a kind.

I have a recurrent problem of the engine guard coming loose on my 2015 Fit. I brought ti in and it was fixed. I was given a free car wash card, ate some fruit and there was no charge. What happens to the cookies on the weekends? The fruit is a good idea. Jed was helpful and efficient.

Joe was so sweet and even bought me flowers. He explained everything about the settings in the car...and gave us a fair price for our trade-in. We bought a Toyota Highlander used "As Is" and the vehicle ended up needing @$1200 in engine work. Though we bought the car "As Is" the engine problem made itself known to us almost immediately. I apprised Motorcars about this, and informed them I'd be buying a used car for myself in the next week or so. Not only did Motorcars deeply discount the repairs on the Highlander, they lent us cars I might be interested in to test drive while the repairs were being made. Two weeks have now gone by--my wife's Highlander no longer has an issue, and I'm very happy w/ my used Accord. Motorcars didn't have to stand by a vehicle with the years and mileage that the Highlander had on it, but they did, and they did the best I think a dealership could in a most uncomfortable situation. It is good to know that we can count on Motorcars as well as we can count on our Toyota and Honda. We'll be back!

I was looking for a trustworthy, reasonably-priced...

I was looking for a trustworthy, reasonably-priced mechanic in the area and was very pleased with both the mechanics and customer service staff when I took my CRV in for a scheduled service. Since then, I have taken my Ford Mustang to them as well for minor maintenance tasks (do not expect full-service, specific diagnostic or advanced service for Fords or other brands not usually serviced here). Every time I have come, I have been blown away with how hospitable and professional every one of the staff has been. When I took my Mustang in for an oil change and winter tire changeover today, the manager served water or juice to anyone waiting in the lounge who wanted it. Free cookies and coffee were a nice touch to the already nice, spacious lounge with a large tv, computers, wifi, plenty of chairs/couches and space, aquarium, and an overall cozy feel. The service advisor I had, Josh Jenkins, was excellent. He kept me informed throughout the whole process and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and appreciated even when the process took a little longer than they anticipated with my Ford. I am very satisfied and will definitely come to them with all my CRV maintenance and any Mustang issues that they can service.

*Update: I continue to be impressed with the service here. They make sure to order any parts necessary for maintenance on my mustang beforehand (since it may not be in stock already since it is not a Honda). Brandon answered all my service questions. On this last visit, Aaron Weintraub let me test drive the new 2017 Civic Sport, answering my questions along the way. He was genuine and down-to-earth. He gave honest answers and made me feel comfortable. I will definitely buy my new car this year from Honda...I just need to decide which model I want to buy :)

Just leased a new Accord from Joe Zingale @ Motorcars Honda. I don't have much time today write many reviews, but Joe was very professional in every way with us. The lease was flawless. I think it was the shortest amount of time we have had to spend in a dealership ever. The younger sales people love to play games. We won't play their games. We like dealing with professional people like Joe who won't waste our time! I did do some texting prior to meeting with Joe to let him know what we were looking for, which I think helped Joe help us. He worked hard to get me the best deal in town, but that was only the beginning.
When, during the final parts of the transaction a possibility of changing the vehicle came up, he took me and my wife to the location with more cars and patiently waited for us to make our choice.
He made us feel appreciated as customers.

James Pettit of the Internet Sales Department worked with us on leasing both the Pilot and the Fit, and in keeping our monthly payments within our budget. I worked with three other local Honda Dealerships on leasing these two vehicles and James at Motorcars was the only salesman that took the time to find out exactly what we needed. Here's why I like Motorcars Honda service: the people. Adam Henton in service greets me, answers my questions, delivers bad news gently (when necessary), and helps me make a good decision. Brian Zent, sales manager, is an outstanding individual. He makes me feel welcome and I got to hear about the cool expansion that he's excited about. The parts guys behind the window are always friendly and helpful. I'm really not there all that often, but it feels good to be recognized and to be taken care of.

And of course the service my vehicles receive is top-notch. My '05 CR-V needed a timing chain, which is a major job - they were able to do it in less than 24 hours. In the meantime they supplied a great rental which was super convenient. I definitely recommend Motorcars Honda and will be back.

Pleasant to work with, reliable and trustworthy, always seeking solutions to deliver the car my wife wanted, a Honda Fit EX-L with all the bells and whistles, and she wanted a yellow, so Jeff made sure to get one for her transported next day from far and away to Cleveland.
JEFF went the extra mile several times over, literally, when on my wife's request he came to pick her up and take her to the dealership to sign the papers. He said he'd be at our house at 12 noon and lo and behold he showed up at Twelve zero zero, sharp on time!
Oh, and everything from first contact to negotiations, credit approval, filing forms, get insurance and have ALL papers ready to sign everything (!) was done online, saving us a lot of time and hassle!
A beautiful yellow EX-L is sitting in our front yard now, my wife is all smiles and I am happy, so we decided to award Motorcars Honda our "LIKE A DREAM" Certificate, a title that no car dealership has ever received anywhere in the World! :)

I was a satisfied customer six months ago, until they sold me a 2012 Lexus IS 250 that had the TPMS lights lit up that they said they would take care of if I decided to purchase the vehicle. I had to pay $134.00 for Classic Lexus to take care of the issue. They're going to reimburse me the money for that. However, I had already purchased four new tires from them because they said it would fix the issue.

Four days prior to purchasing the Lexus, I purchased an Acura TL...despite being told they didn't sell cars with open recalls on them, I came to find out there was an open recall on the driver side airbag when I purchased the car. Motorcars Acura took care if the airbag in addition to the software update it badly needed.

I purchased a Civic in 2012. I purchased G.A.P. insurance as well as their Platinum Package. I paid the Civic off nine months early and was mailed paperwork from Honda Financial explain that I was due a refund for the nine months of G.A.P. insurance. I was told by Jim Watershed that I never had G.A.P. insurance or their Platinum Package despite what I was told by Honda Financial and despite the free oil changes and free car washes. He told me I had instead opted for theit extended warranty and fabric protectant. Really? Had I knowingly opted for their extended warranty, why wasn't I told this when I paid them almost $1,200.00 to replace the air compressor on the air conditioning system? In addition, why would I pay for fabric protectant for a car with leather seats? Jim Watershed deliberately lied to me to prevent me from getting a dinky refund for my G.A.P insurance and claimed I paid for their extended warranty not knowing the service history of the vehicle.

Again, I have purchased three vehicles from them in just under five years, and it has been one thing or another with all three. I received five free oil changes with the purchase of my Acura. I used one of them. I will not be using the last four. In fact, I will not be returning to them ever. All of this from a dealership where I have not only purchased vehicles, but have spent well over $5,000.00 in their service department in the last 19 months. The fact that I'm also a part of the Class Action Lawsuit against Honda Financial doesn't help the matter much. I'm sorry Motorcars Honda....something just isn't right over there.
