Sweet Jesus! TOO BAD HALF A STAR OR NO STARS ARE NOT AN OPTION HERE!!!

My appointment was changed without my knowledge. No calls, no texts, no rmails, no letters... NOTHING! The phone number they ALLEGEDLY called to was put incorrectly in their system and they claimed because of problems with the new phone company or some other BS, "some calls may drop or not go thru", just be "patient".

I'm driving from almost 2 hours away and more than half-way through, she seemed flustered with my crying child. When I showed up after speaking over the phone, she seems very uncomfortable. She stated that at this point they were more upset and frustrated than me and almost walked out on me while I was still talking.

Look, I understand that dealing with kids requires extra effort, but if you don't like to do it, don't even welcome the money your patients bring in AND DON'T LIE !!! ALSO, ANSWER THE PHONE OR HIRE MORE PEOPLE!!!

Dr. Charneco, M.D, chain on eyeglasses, managed for me to tell the world the difference between someone and no one. I was so poor in health as to need Medicare via disability benefits. She and her staff drove on a bargain, and today, it s railroad Medicaid benefits. All I need.

I have yoga. I have Pilates. Thanks to Mindful s poster, I can be seen as fit, if a Sunni Muslim.

You want to know th3 truth? It wasn t until she begged my Keirsey s Sorters as I sat in her office under the planter, that I began my all-important self-advocacy.

Which Dr. Ruiz was the one to properly screen. Not nobody. Someone.

The one star is for the staff at the front desk. Very sweet and tried to be helpful. My doctor sent me here to see a psychiatrist for something called medication management. After my family doctor retired, I saw a succession of doctors that all gave me prescriptions and some interacted bad with others and left me with brain fog.
Very dirty place. A cigarette butt on the carpet, unraveling carpet, dirty stained baseboards, and three waiting rooms with people crammed in. Even a vending machine in the waiting room!!!! They don't want to miss a chance to make a buck I guess. 3 hours total for a half hour appointment. When I expressed my displeasure at the wait to the doctor, are said if I continued to be hostile to her, she wouldn't treat me. Really!! This is a psychiatrist who, I assume, sees people with serious conditions all day, and she can't take a little criticism? My appointment consisted of her typing my answers from a questionnaire that I had filled out into a computer. Never looked at me.
When I went to check out, the police and fire department were in the waiting room. A woman had attempted suicide in the waiting room............because of her 3 hour wait, maybe?
I am a counselor who gets asked for referrals ever day. This is one place that I won't go back to and will never, ever refer anyone to!!!!!

They seem to be a pill dispensary my wife came here for help and is now in a substance abuse rehab because the Doctor seems to believe or just push pills rather then focus on the problem! Apparently if someone says they are ADHD they will write you a script for Vivance or if you say you are bipolar or depressed they will write you a script for Xanax and will up them when ever they ask! My wife has had a substance abuse problem since 18 if the Doctor cared about the patient they would know her past and would not prescribe meds that might trigger her addiction! I recommend that anyone looking for help to fix there problem or be helped with depression go elsewhere if you are looking for pills this is your place!

Worse healthcare. You will be scheduled for the doctor but be ready to see the nurse. Talk over the phone to someone takes forever. You will be pushed for appointment with Nurse even for the medication refill. They are only taking care of money in your pocket. Forget the healthcare. Search for other healthcare provider.

I was not even allowed to ask questions. There was no observation. "I just have to fill out this form." "This isn't a counseling session" "I have other patients waiting."
The wait time varies from 20 minutes to 3 hours.
The scheduling is done in a very strange way. You can get an appointment as soon as 1.5 months from now. But if you know someone in the office, you can come in the next day.
Check the individuals posting the positive reviews. Somehow a lot of them show up as medical personnel, nurses, etc.

I would recommend this facility! Their staff always goes above and beyond for the patients. Like any medical office, there is sometimes a wait to be seen, but they always communicate that with you and set an expectation for your visit.

I have Hurd nothing but excellent experience from mindful, I know amazing staffs that actually have a passion and the heart to help others. With that alone I do believe that this office will do amazing things now and in the near future with the growth that it has in plans.

Horrible rude and condescending staff.. over 2 wks of calls and voicemails only to have disrespectful staff explain that I am at fault because I must not know how to follow prompts. Why ask patients to leave message to schedule appointments if your never gonna call?! When I asked to speak to an office manager, the rude staff member refused and instead acted as if she could fix the problem only to transfer me again to the generic message after being on hold forever with that annoying hold music! Worst treatment ever! I don t even know how this office even has patients, their entire staff should be re-trained in customer service!

Well....the last time we were here we did not have...

Well....the last time we were here we did not have to wait that much because they had just changed the office/scheduling/appointment system, I believed my waiting time was around 45 minutes, which was not as bad as the time before, I waited for hours.....seriously, at the end we decided to leave without seeing anyone and reschedule the appointment. There is something else one has to take in account, be on time for your appointment! You must wait for them, but if you are delayed more than 15 minutes, you will have to reschedule. Let me describe the scenario, your appointment is at 3:00 pm, but probably with lots of luck you will be in front of the doctor in 45 minutes (best scenario) but set your mind to a longer waiting time, take in consideration (there is a patient inside and 6 waiting before you) you make it at 3:15 pm and you won't be seen. Just to give you the heads up! Other than that they provide the required services and the staff is courteous.

In less than one year I ve had to change therapy providers four times, and every time it s near impossible for me to schedule an appointment with them. The doctors are really nice, but there s no reason why I should have to wait three months for an appointment when I should be seen every other week.

I m also on medication management and I ve had to change providers five separate times. The inconsistency is having a negative impact on my quality of life and I ll have to find another clinic to go to.

Wont allow Service Animals to any Appts any already paid for a letter for my friend to bring his service anmail heres gone with her to every appt for the last 3 years now he can no lonnger bring her. And he payed 40.00 on your letterhead to bring his service anmail anywhere including his appts . Shame on you Mindful Behavioral healthcare. Review your Philosophy and mission statement

Just left this place in tears..... I should of known better .....the few times I've been there countless of patients. ...... have been approached. .. on no show fees...... ive worked in the medical field so i now that Dr offices have a right to charge .........from the first visit it was made very clear that you will be charged a no show charge if you miss in appointment ...... so I totally new to avoid at all possible not to miss any appointments...... (I can't afford any additional fees) ...... but this is a mental health facility and one of my symptoms is forgetfulness. ..... they confirm your appointment a week away from your appointment. ..... I can barely remember where I park my car when I go shopping. ....... anyways as I approached front desk to be checked in for my appointment I was told that I had a previous no show and had to pay a fee...... I was in disbelief. .... because I didn't know I missed an appointment.

In the previous offices that I've worked in if the person was sincere, or if you can tell it was an honest mistake ..... the staff would ask the manager and work with the patient. ..... especially if it was a first offense

I was left speechless and I was so upset I held back my tears and cancelled all my appts.

Any other Dr facility I can understand but a mental health facility should be well aware that most of there patients there will be a possibility that they can forget things......

I recommend that they update there software system to confirm appointments the day before.. ...

One question I have is why I didn't receive a bill or a notice that I missed an appointment?

Totally caught me off guard and ..... totally embarrassed me in front of other patients. ...... because our conversation at no time was in held in private there was patients standing right next to me and sitting by the front desk area.

This place it s literally the worst place to get your medication at. They always take extremely long to attend you even when you have an appointment. What I mean by this is your appointment could be at 9am and they will take care of you by 11am or 12 pm and I m not exaggerating. When you call to either make an appointment or consult your medication the wait time could be 0 minutes and they ll have you waiting for over 15 to 20 minutes. Makes absolutely no sense.

Terrible place, made an appointment and had to wait three months to see the psychiatrist only for my appointment to be canceled that day with no warning. Do not recommend this place extremely disorganized, ran by infants it seems. Be ready to wait a month minimum to see anyone and then another 3 to see the actual psychiatrist.

When I came here I trusted Mindful with my health....

When I came here I trusted Mindful with my health. As someone who suffers panic attacks taking medicine was a big challenge for me. I literally had broken down on my first visit. After finally getting the medication to be on the right path Mindful has been pulling the run around on getting my antidepressants because of a scheduling issue. An issue that would never have happened if they never canceled my original appointments. Promises of callbacks never returned. Difficult to reach phone lines. They put me on a medicine and increased the dosage and now expect me to dangerously just stop taking it while I wait for a response that never seems to come. I would say that this kind of policy puts money over the well being of patients. My advice is to be on the side of caution when taking any long term medicine from Mindful Staff as you will need to be prepared for the possibility of having to suddenly stop it without the recommendation of a medical professional.

I was a patient in the smaller office a few doors down from this office N it was MUCCCH Better Than This One... It Was Small N Cozy... After emerging with this Office... Everything Went Down Hill after I Had An Incident Involving A Charge I Received after trying to call ahead to Tell My Therapist know that I was running Late.... She spoke with the Manager N The Bill Was Supposed To Have Been Cancelled Etc... I went for my appt j but it was Toooooooo L-A-T-E To See Her Etc... When I went for my next visit one of the Receptionist told me I have to pay the bill etc n I told her that my Therapist had it Taken Care Of Etc... The Manager came during my Session N Discussed the Situation with Her N Everything Was Supposed To Have Been Fixed... NOT!!!!! I was asked to pay the bill and Tried To Explain What Happened But It Fell On Deaf Ears.... I Got Upset... The Manager Came Out Of Her Office N Asked Me To Come To Her Office Etcccc Etcccc... My Last Visit There Was In 11/2014 where I saw the Nurse Practioner For My Regular Visit Not Knowing It Was My "Last Visit" There..... He Was His Usual Cheerful Self With Me That Day N Started Me On A New Medicine...A Few Days Later I Received A Letter From The Manager Discharging Me From The Clinic Stating I Was Disruptive To The Other Patients Etcccc.... REALLY... I Thought This Was A " Mental Health Clinic" N I Was "Upset" Over Something That Was "Supposed To Have Been Dissolved" N AGAIN I Called The Office To Discuss The "Issue" With The Dr In Charge... My counselor is amazing I would give her alone 10 stars, but for meds the Dr. like everyone says it takes over an hour sometimes to get to see the Dr. Its been many times that once you get in to see them, they rush you, like they are timed, and don't listen to how your feeling really just take bits and pieces and then diagnose you. They do overbook I think. The receptionist ladies are very nice, and so are the people that check you in before the appointment. Just wish they would get their act together in general as a company. Also, I wish they had more slots available for the counselors they book up pretty quickly. Most of the time I got to book a month in advance. I would definately say becareful because the Dr. that prescribe you the meds just try and give you meds, meds, meds or offer tms and don't fix the solution. Who wants to be on meds the rest of their life and much less 6 differents meds some of which a therapist has told me they are not good to mix together? The tms is also something that is being looked into something new that is being tried, but honestly what I would call is being a lab rat because its still being tested. I honestly think they use it as a last alternative seems like to me if they can't suggest anything else they are associated with. I don't know about you, but I don't have any interest in getting electric shocks in my brain with possible long term complications, when it has not been fully tested, that scared me. I know the Dr. said 70% get better what if I am one of those 30% that it doesn't work out for. I think they really need to think about the tools they are using and incorporate not just meds or tms as a solution, but some other source of therapy like counseling or other therapy. Their job is to get to the root of the problem to try and fix it, meds don't always fix the long term problem, but leave the problem there so it can arise again if meds are not taken. Please beware of what your getting into if you go. I don't like to give review, but maybe this review will help someone.

I just brought my neice here for her appointment. We live an hour away. They tell her that they switched her provider so her appointment is actually tomorrow.They also lied and said they called repeatedly and left messages. THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE! They did call yesterday AND CONFIRM HER APPOINTMENT FOR TODAY! It's a shame that they receive GOVERNMENT money to be INCOMPETENT! It is also a shame that people are forced to TOLERATE this treatment! Awful! Awful! Awful!

Wow, Where do I start?
If you have a whole lot of time to waste this is the place to visit and call. Don't count on anyone from the font desk to provide you with the correct information. They are unprofessional and definitely need more training in effective, efficiency and billing. They answer the phone and don't even provide their name so you actually know who your speaking with and can address them as so. I've been hung up on, been keep waiting and have not received call backs. I Received a bill 4 months after my visit, stating I owed a payment after I confirmed with Edlynn that my insurance was accepted by the office and the person seeing me, I even asked if my written test was covered and the response was YES, now I'm stuck with a bill. They want payment but do not work with you to try and resolve issue, supervisors are never available when you want to speak with one and billing department never returns call or emails. Thanks to Mindful Behavioral Healthcare in Kissimmee I have been exposed to more stress and bills.
Please be advised call your health insurance to see if your insurance is accepted at the office, then find out who is the DOCTOR assigned to you, now make sure that specific doctor your seeing accepts your insurance, also check to make sure all the tests your being given are also covered.
Avoid the Kissimmee office. Don't waste your time visiting this establishment.

Horrible horrible care! We called 5 times to get help when my son was having issues and was in the hospital and NO ONE called back. But miss an appointment and they somehow find the phone. They don t care they just write prescriptions!!! Go elsewhere!

It's all about the money and not about caring at all. My intake was fine. $10 copay and wait was 10 minutes. I make an appointment for med management. Went to the appointment, $10 copay, and waited 1 and 1/2 hours to where I was late to work. Thanks for that. Appointment was 10 minutes and out. Make an appointment for a month. Unfortunately my husband lost his job. I have to reschedule because money is extremely tight. They tell me I have to pay my balance or any amount before I can get a new appointment. I pay $20 and call again. Finally got an appointment for over a month out. I later call for multiple days asking for emergency refill until next appointment because I will run out. Took over a week before the refill was sent and I was already out of meds.

Appointment is coming, my husband still doesn't have a new job, money is getting even more tight but I need to see the psychiatrist. I pay a little more on my balance so I wouldn't have a problem. Get to the appointment and I'm told they want me to pay the price of the appointment in full. Not a copay like last time. Say it's because my insurance rejected it. I call my insurance and they say there isn't a claim at all and that the office is allowed to charge me a copy or ask for the office visit in full if they want. Mindful Behavioral didn't want a copay for this visit because they wanted me to pay my balance and didn't trust that I would pay this office visit as well. I am extremely stressed out. I have very little money and a high chance of losing my new home but money is all they want. So I left from that appointment trying not to cry because I told her I can't do the entire office visit payment in full. I was ready to do that copay and receive the bill in the mail as I have been doing.

That was on Wednesday. Today, Friday, I call to try to make an appointment so I can pay my balance over the next month because I know it's going to be a month before they can see me as it always is. The guy who talked to me had THE RUDEST attitude. He says a manager has to approve an appointment for me because of my previous reschedules and I try to explain what happened on Wednesday. He says I have to pay my balance or make a payment arrangement which I said I was paying with each paycheck as I was able. He says I was advised last month when I rescheduled to make a payment arrangement which is not what happened. The agent who rescheduled me said she would put a note so that they could discuss a payment arrangement with me when I went to my appointment on July 31. A payment arrangement was not discussed I was told to pay the entire office visit in full and if not then I'd have to leave so I left.

So now I will be running out of medication. You don't know what someone is going through and if you're going to work at a mental health office, you need more compassion than any regular office. This agent nearly pushed me to the edge because I am not doing well mentally at all with my current situation at home. You could push someone to finally ending it with that sort of attitude. All I wanted was to see my doctor, renew my medication, and talk to someone who cared about me. This office does not care about me because I don't have money to prove I'm worth caring about. This is literally what I feel, that I don't deserve care and that you'd rather my mental health push me to a dark place because of money.

On top of that, a therapist was calling for another patient on July 31 and it took him a while to respond. She and the front desk person were rolling their eyes and talking bad about him. Turns out it was a guy in a wheelchair. I don't know if I want to return thinking about what trash has been talked about me after I had to walk away from the appointment. Unfortunately I don't have anywhere else to go because, again, I don't have much money so going to a new office would be more expensive than trying to continue here as an established patient.

Sucked and I didn't even get to talk to a psychologist for 270.00 dollars worst place ever if ur looking to get on any kind of med. To help ur anxiety and depression!!!! They don't even deserve 1 star but I had to put one star to post! TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE!!!

They are just about impossible to get a hold of on the phone. That big of business you would expect that they would have better phone service. Shrink is not at all experienced with combat related PTSD. The lady I saw was not even a DR, she was a nurse practitioner. She had no clue about combat ptsd. She acted like she had never heard of such thing. I can't reccommend that nurse to anyone. I could belive they have nurse practioners as psychiatrists!

I m going to say that I ve never experienced so much unprofessionalism. I will NOT be bringing my son back here due to it. So let s start with I called last month to make an appt which was great, appt was scheduled (I asked for a therapist and was scheduled with one). A few days later I get a call that the provider isn t accepting new patients (I don t understand how this isn t known before hand), so they schedule me with another therapist. Day of appt I get a call that they have to reschedule the appt, and the person who calls isn t the friendliest has a bit of an attitude, isn t apologetic and proceeds to say they can schedule me with a psychiatrist for a earlier time because no other therapist is available. So I get there and it s super crowded, I go to the window for new patients where Elizabeth is and get to experience rudeness. I don t know if you all realize that your front desk sets the presidence for your business and if you don t have a friendly staff people will not want to come back (or maybe you just don t care)! While standing at the window for 15 mins for her to put my son s information in the system, she s answered the phone with not even a hold one min to me, has a conversation about a patient who I now know the first and last name of since she s saying it in front of me, here the code for the diagnosis for that patient and since she shifting through patients info on the desk im able to see people s personal information. So HIPPA apparently doesn t apply to your office either, neither does privacy, neither does confidentiality. While the psychiatrist was ok I didn t ask for an appointment for that, so he feels the need to diagnose my son for me to come back to see him... uhhh NOPE. Thanks but no thanks. I ll be seeking services else where, where people listen to what you re asking for and actually care to keep other people s information private. It s a shame because this bad experience is exactly why most people steer clear from mental services and getting themselves or their children the help that they need. My son wasn t referred there by anyone, I m simply bringing him to help him deal with some difficult situations.

Worst care I think I've ever received. I was with this provider for over a year. They are so unorganized. Constantly rescheduling appointments and changing the provider you see due to their own schedule adjustments. Feels like a mill. Churn em in and churn em out. Felt like the level of care here was terrible. Every time I turned around they switched my psyche provider. I had one therapist here and she was always 15 minutes late to our appointments, after 5 visits I quit seeing her And don't forget, the waits are ridiculous too. Wait over an hr to spent 15 minutes with a doctor when it's a psyche visit.

Staff are friendly! Time is quick, in & out! My only issue is that the employee turn over is very very high. Each time I go there s a new Nurse Practitioner!
The best I ve met was recently! Very knowledgeable, helpful and dedicated to his patients and career. I want to give 5 stars to Erick Suarez!!! More like you sir is was the medical field needs!

I personally am a current patient in this practice and have had a great experience from the Therapyst to the Drs. I didn't have to wait that long but I guess me coming from a medical experience I do understand how they are good days and bad days, but when I get seen I understand why, they take their time with each patient as equal. It is a practice of a lot of growth, which I can't wait for the opening of Claremont and lake Nona it's pretty exciting.The employees actually care about their patients and where very helpful. The scheduling department has such amazing customer service and remind me of my appointment ahead of time which is very helpful given the fact that I am very forgetful at times.

I called to schedule an appointment. They informed me of a balance I had from 2018. When I asked why I had an outstanding balance I was told that when I came in for my last visit my insurance was inactive. They declined to make me an appointment until I take care of the balance. I was not aware of a balance. Also the practice should of verified the insurance prior to being seen. When I came in for the appointment the front desk should have mentioned that my insurance was inactive. But they sure collected a co- pay. I should not be responsible for a balance due to the incompetence of your office staff. Really disappointing.

I had an appt for thursday at 2:45 at the lake nona location. Got a call one week before to confirm my appointment, and wrote down the information on my calendar while scheduling he appt with the office lady. So the day was here, I went to the address posted online, and there were only offices being built. I called the line "press 2 to speak with the lake nona office" (or whatever words they used to say that) and 1st, it was not the lake nona office that I spoke to. 2nd the lake nona office wasnt going to be ready until a week after my appt. The lady that I spoke with was very rude, and told me it was "impossible" for my appt to be scheduled today. Never apologized for the mistake, not a "sorry for the inconvenience".. nothing. Very rude and condescending tone of voice. I know this was not my mistake, but even if it was, there was no need to talk to a patient like that. They work with people that suffer with things that ranges anywhere from minor life problems to suicidal ideations, they need to know how to talk with those people in a polite way.
Im not writing this review because they scheduled my appt on the wrong date, but because of the way I was treated. I get that people makes mistakes, and I have made plenty in my life, but apparently the staff that told me is "impossible" to have my appt scheduled today, needs to learn that as well since the impossible became possible.

Updated: gave one extra star because I hve to call and see if there was an appt to cancel, since I don't want to be charged for something that it wasn't what I chose. They scheduled my appt at the wrong location (kissimmee, which is 1hr from my house). The lady that I spoke to apologized many times, and canceled my appt. Explained that the lke nona wont have therapy only psychiatry, but I can call later to see if they have added that service. Much better customer service

This place SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst experience, front desk has a really bad attitude charging me for something that I had a balance of 250 and I wasn't even the patient that owed that. I waited hours to be called, I asked to speak to the manager and they brought me a girl who is CLEARLY not a manager and didn't even know what to say, when they finally brought me a manager she was very rude, Looked like she was wearing my 12 year old daughters clothes very unprofessionally dressed her clothes were too small I could see her stomach. I could barely understand what she was even saying. When I Finally saw my provider she didn't even take more then 10 mins with me and when she left the room ( To get some coffee ) she left the room with my papers giving it to the girl in check out telling her to help me with some papers I needed filled but telling her out loud what Exactly I needed and what it was for !! while there was patients around. TALK ABOUT HIPPA !!!! I wouldn't recommend this place at all. A patient next to me was arguing with one of the nurses because they kept giving him wrong RX and he would call the office more then 10 times ( He said ) and that he had to come all the way from davenport because no one ever picked up or even gave him a called back, The nurse had to walk to the back to get them fixed because they wouldn't pick up either and she ( the nurse ) said ''oh they most be taking selfies''. Apparently am not the only one with problems here and if you notice on there name tags half of the people talking nice bout here work here, not even the people working there like working there with the face expressions I saw. NEVER coming back and am taking all my friends and family members with me. If I could post this with out a star I would !!!

I have been a patient for over 7 years. I find the office and personnel are excellent in their respective jobs. I have never waited long to see Dr Ruiz or Linda. They are growing fast in other locations now and the only complaint I have is the wait time on the telephone to make or cancel an appt. Other than that, put your trust in this organization. They are AWESOME!

Update: Minful apologized for the experience. I went back and they charged me a out-of-network copay even though they are in-network. The Dr saw me nice and quick, but she didn t listen to any of my treatment needs. Constantly interrupted me as I tried to answer her questions. She was, in short, extremely rude. I felt that the entire copay was wasted and I won t be back no matter what kind of apology Mindful provides.

Disaster!

I like to go in depth in my reviews to get it into context. I sought a Psychiatrist for an examination due to my previous job to see if their were any PTSD issues or any other issues. This place was on my insurance. I had seen a psychologist before so maybe I'm comparing them which I'm not sure is appropriate but wow, the difference is amazing.

1st Visit
Very nice front desk! Can't complain there. I had some kind of "interview" because it was my first appointment with a very nice young lady who wasn't a Psychiatrist, but was clearly educated Im guessing a master's degree in some kind. She asked why I was there and was very friendly. Interview didn't take long and the wait was approximately 20 minutes in a room you'd expect to find in a Doctors office filled with 20-30 people. She gave me a an appointment for a "medication management" visit.

2nd Visit
My appoint was scheduled for 3:45pm, they called a day before to say they needed to make it 3:30pm because I was new and they needed the extra time. No problem with me. In my mind I'm thinking even better I get to talk to the Psychiatrist a bit longer. I show up promptly and wait in a hot completely filled (30-40 people) waiting room for an hour. 4:30ish pops around they call my number. Again the nurses were nice but they asked mostly the same questions I was asked the visit before about medications i was on.

Other than the extremely non-private hour wait here is my largest complain and why I gave it one star. They sent me to and A.R.N.P. who acted like she could give two craps about me. It was 4:45pm and time to go home. Her tone was mono, questions were straight, when I asked for some clarification on the questions I got the feeling of being stupid. Mid way through I knew this was pointless so I gave up and just answered the questions with one word. I've been dealing with this for 3 years, she met me for 5 minutes yet when I told her what meds work and dont' her knowledge of my body was better.

Somehow a Nurse Practitioner can prescribe a controlled substance as well after I told her it didn't work for me and I did not want it she still prescribed it to me. And then it was done. I took the Controlled Script and through it away because it was useless and went home without making another appointment.

I went to this place twice to be evaluated to see if I had PTSD and other and never saw a DR. Just tried to get meds shoved down my throat, meds I said I've tried and didn't work. Do you think they really care there? When I saw a Psychologist, there was NO wait time. I was brought in through the back door and my appointment time was my time. All for anonymity reasons.

If I could give this "clinic" no stars, I would. The name "mindful" does NOT relate to the clinic or anyone who works there AT ALL. I don't understand how they're still in business. They push pills on you that give adverse crazy side effects because well... you're obviously being treated by a nurse practitioner AND NOT an actual Psychiatrist, and when you call again to change providers because you want to get treated by an actual Psychiatrist (You know, a specialist) you get scheduled with an Internist who specializes in INTERNAL medicine and NOT Psychiatry (ONCE AGAIN)!!!!! You will be waiting in the queue for a really long time, and then when they finally decide to pick up your call... guess what? They will hang up on you!!! And when you fill out your new patient paperwork to authorize family members, guess what? IT DOESN'T MATTER, because when you call in they won't have that paper on file because they can't "find" it. This clinic is the "ghetto" of all clinics, cheap and money hungry. Nothing positive to say about them, they're A DAMN circus SINCE DAY ONE!!! If YOU'RE MINDFUL of your own mental health (BECAUSE THEY SURE AREN'T), stay away from this clinic and avoid the HELL you will go through. All you will get is treatment from a "practitioner", get worse, keep scheduling appointments and going around in circles because they don't want you to get better, all they want is money!! If you love yourself or your loved one, Do your research before going to this circus because it sure isn't a reputable health care provider.

Alright I've read these reviews and I hope to address them with my own. I too have seen turn over but I've experienced that in most businesses, and even in my own life. Change is inevitable and all of life a transition. The good news is that the wonderful and caring staff, led by their founder Dr Charneco, are here to lead you through life's transitions. She has helped me in ways I could never encapsulate but I can tell you as Mindful has transitioned and grown so have I with their support. I hope this review helps you as much as the staff at Mindful have helped me. Namaste

Went to this place to look for help for my son who is grieving due to my divorce and after the third appointment was told by a counselor (who never gave no counseling to him) that he wasn t specialized in kids and he wants to refer him to another counselor with appointments like in 4 months... what a Joke!!! Try find somewhere else! Don t waste your time here!

The front desk staff Rachel and Elizabeth where extremely professional, friendly and make me feel so welcomed. The wait time was not long at long, after I completed the paper work I was shortly called in and my visit with Dr. Jose Rivera was excellent.

I was sent here for treatment. Dr. Charneco was the first person in years to hear something particular about my situation and treat it, where other doctors in the past have shrugged it off. She and Rachel made me feel listened to in an industry where I typically feel like psychiatrists are just trying to throw pills at me to get me out of their office again. Nurses/techs and the staff at the front desk were also consistently kind and patient, even when I haven't been at my best. Yes, the waits can be rough sometimes, and it can be doubly rough when you're a little late to your appointment - but I actually felt listened to while I was able to come here. Thank you for that.

The one star is for front desk girls, who take on so much for so little.
Pros: Great people all around
Cons: VERY POOR PAYROLL MANAGEMENT. So much money coming into this place, however paychecks bounce on a weekly basis causing some hardship on employees. Sad part it, its been happening for a VERY LONG TIME and it hasn't been fixed. Yet they demand employees to smile, be cheerful, be courteous and respectful. They've lost many good employees due to this very sad situation , and will continue to do so.

Note: Mindful, just a quick reminder, without your employees, you are absolutely NOTHING!! Especially your front desk staff who are the face and company's first impression. How about implementing that, MISSION, VISION, VALUES and GOAL, into keeping good employees happy. I guarantee you'll be overwhelmingly much more successful... TRUST ME!

The only reason why I m giving a two star is because of scheduling. My initial reason for making an appointment was for therapy. I went for the evaluation and it went well. Staff was great. I scheduled my two appointments which was for therapy and Med management. The appointment was set out a little too far in advance about a month 1/2 but since this was my first time seeking therapy I figured I d wait. Today was supposed to be my therapy appt and I got a call in the morning stating the therapist was sick and I d have to reschedule. So at first I was unhappy about it but you can t blame someone for being sick. So I told the staff member I d have to call back to reschedule. I called back and I advised I needed an appt time for the afternoon. I was given a date all the way in July which was too much of an inconvenience. I asked if that was the soonest and they stated in fact it was the soonest they had. I ended up canceling my Med management appt only because this is my first time seeking help I didn t feel comfortable going to an appt for medication without properly getting therapy first. I can understand the office being busy but they need to do something about scheduling appt s. It s not fair having to wait so long just to see someone. I d also like to note that it s not okay to reschedule my appt months in advance when the reason for the reschedule was not even my fault to begin with.

My daughter therapist was great. I just wish they could keep up there appointments. It's been two times her appointments have been cancel at the last minute. It's very disconcerting to be at a doctors office and told that they will have to reschedule ; twice ! Really? On her first visit to see the Psiquiatrist we had to wait 3 hours to received services, with an appointment. Very unprofessional and no respect for patients time. That's why we will not be using there services anymore!

I have to say that I disagree with the above comments, I had an amazing experience here at the office. The front desk personal was nice and answered all my questions. I waited hours to see Dr.Charneco BUT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!! She took her time and explained all the medications as well as what my plan would be, she spent close to a whole hour with me! I wouldnt send any of my family or friends anywhere else. Like I said the place gets FULL but I will wait to see Dr.Charneco

This is one of the only places in the area I can take my son with his insurance, which is the only reason I even come to this place. It's always a long wait, even if you come early to an appointment. The last time I came, we waited an hour before I finally went up to the counter to see what was going on, and they didn't even check is in!!!! So we had to wait even longer to see the psychiatrist. There are always so many people in the waiting area, you would think they would learn how to schedule appointments better, so that you aren't waiting forever. Seriously, stop double booking.

Update, they outdid themselves this time. Gave us the prescription and spelled his name wrong...... Now jumping through hoops to get it fixed...... How do you misspell a name that's typed in front of you, and the R and L are nowhere near each other on the keyboard.

If I could give a zero to this place I would. We have consistently waited for more than an hour for appointments, and they switched providers on us with absolutely no notice. On one particular day (after being informed at the last appointment I could do so) it was important we get seen and out on time due to another personal commitment. So, I called ahead of time (30 min prior) to make sure that they were running fairly on time. I was told that they were. When we arrived, I was told that they were over two HOURS behind schedule? Why did the people answering the phone lie to me? I don't understand. My time is just as valuable as theirs.

Then, after multiple complaints to the office manager, I asked to see her on our next appointment. I was quickly ushered into the office of one Vivian A. Charneco, M.D. For the whole hour of my daughter's appointment, she proceeded to lecture me about how I was rude and disrespectful of their time and that I did not understand just how everything worked. Then she proceeded to say how I should be ashamed of myself for taking up her precious time with such ridiculous things and that I should be more concerned about my daughter? No, she should be more concerned about my daughter and should have spoken to me in private without my daughter present, nor during her appointment time. How this lady EVER won an award for her skills is beyond me.

On top of all that, we were paying a certain set sum out-of-pocket for all of her appointments. Before that fateful meeting, I had finally sat down to look at our insurance company claims. I discovered that for the three appointments we'd had there, I had actually overpaid about $15 per appointment. They'd never told me, nor applied the credit on our account to our next appointment. They would have kept on keeping my money unless I would have brought this to their attention.

Needless to say, we will not be back. I refuse to have to pay someone to treat us like dirt. Their front office and back office staff, as well as the physician on staff are totally shameful in the way they treat their customers and clients. I've yet to receive any type of satisfactory explanation as to why I was told appointments were running on time, nor as to why they thought it was OK to keep my hard earned money.

All I can really say about this place is that they care more for the almighty dollar than they do their patients' and clients' well being and care.

ETA: In response to your reply, just so others know you are totally out of line, not once was it explained to us that you would run 2-3 hours behind in seeing people. It's uncalled for and if that's the case on a regular basis (always!) then you need to schedule less people per hour. Care more about the people than you do the money!

Let me first start by saying that I am a nurse and...

Let me first start by saying that I am a nurse and was working towards my MD before my physical illness. So, I feel I am qualified to review this place's service as a client and from a medical perspective.
I would not wish this place on my worst enemy. My first appointment was a lady asking a lot of questions.
She never clarified her part, or her conclusions. She stated with whom she wanted me to meet, but did not tell me who they were (counselor, Doctor, etc).
So, I arrived to my second appointment, and it was with a student Physician Assistant. She gave me some medications. I questioned her many times because I knew two of them were the same medication. However, I have a physical problem and sometimes certain medications interact and I have to use multiple ones to achieve the same effect.
I went about life and within a short period of time I started to really struggle. Depressed, angry, and my moods were all over the place. I came back in to see someone because of these sudden issues. The Nurse Practitioner said I was not supposed to be on those two medications!!! She even said that the student P.A. should never have put me on both medications and that I was lucky it did not hurt me. That explained all the sudden mental changes. Well thank goodness I went back in to the office as quickly as I did.
From the start of this process there was no communication and direction. I kept asking what their process was, and what they diagnosed me with to give me the medications. No one answered my questions and worst of all they never scheduled me to see a counselor to talk to me about any of this. Just kept putting me with medical staff and throwing pills at me.
The last appointment that I had, the Nurse Practitioner, recommended I put magnets on my head and have electricity run through them to stimulate my brain. UMMMM NO FREAKING WAY!!!!
I have followed up with another establishment and asked them their opinion of what happened at Mindful Behavior. More than one of the counselors and psychiatrists said, in a professional way, that Mindful Behavior are a bunch of quacks! You are a number there and they do not care. They see so many people and throw pills at people instead of helping people. It is all about the money and seeing as many people as possible and treatments that are not needed, required, or even recommended. Hence, the brain stimulating treatment they tried to get me to do. My current therapist could not believe what happened to me at Mindful Behavior. I am also currently seeking legal counsel due to the medications that put me in danger that they prescribed. My current counselor does not believe any medications whatsoever.
Please BEWARE and do NOT go to Mindful Behavior. There are so many other places where you can get real help.

I have not had a good experience with this office. I am a new client and I have kept two scheduled appointments with them, only to be told when I walk in that they have to re-schedule because of some mix up or misunderstanding with the practionner. At my first appointment, I was told the practitioner wasn't even there that day. They are a joke and have some dumb girl working the desk who is a half wit brain-dead girl who can't get it together. I wouldn't trust them to treat my dog.

I've been going here for six months and I will say that I love it. It is all about how you treat therapy. If you go in with an open mind it will be great if you don't then you're going to have a different experience. I absolutely LOVE the front desk staff they know me by first name and are soooo wonderful. Linda hill and Kristeen cueller are both wonderful and help me with both my med treatment and sit down sessions. I'm happy that I found a place that works for me. =)

Was in the neighborhood of the Kissimmee office. My mom will be a new patient with this facility, and it just so happens that I need a new psychiatrist myself. So we stopped into the office. We were greeted immediately by Valentina. I asked if they accepted my insurance and they do! We asked if I could make an appointment and pick up new paperwork and medical records release forms. She was happy to help.
Not to mention she was extremely busy yet kept an upbeat and friendly attitude. Amanda was also helpful and very nice.
I had to call the office today and was given an option for a call back.
Within 10 min I received a callback from Lisa M. at their call center. She was friendly, professional, patient and answer ALL my questions. I'm already extremely impressed with this company and I haven't had my first appointment yet!

This place is horrible. I haven't even gone to an appointment yet. I was put on hold for 30 minutes, just to schedule an appointment. Then when I was setting up my appointment (I requested a psychiatrist) only to be scheduled with a nurse practioner. I called today to switch my appointment to a psychiatrist, of which I origninally requested, only to be put on hold for 30 more minutes and be kicked to an answering service. This practice is horrible and I haven't even gone to a single appointment.

Good Custmer Service. But every time the doctors ou the PAs are super late. It is around 1 hour of waiting. Which I think is very disrespectful with the patient. The fact they are open once Saturday a month is a big PLUS!
