My mom bought her car from here and I've bought two cars myself from Mike Johnson's Toyota. My most recent was a Used Car i bought for my wife. A little over a month after purchase, a tire separated, with all 3 of my kids in the car! A defect for sure, thing is, they didn't put the tires on the car, the previous owner did... Still... They replaced all 4 tires JUST in case. This dealership has worked with me and around me in order to keep me on the road, within budget, and safe. Justin Johnson is a great sales manager and the two service people you should talk to are Tanner and Cynthia. These two people are very easy to talk to and it's obvious they care about every situation or problem you might have. 3 cars, 3 different stories of countless little things they've done, that they didn't have to do. I'd tell anyone looking to buy or service a car to come here. I've been to Toyota dealers in Statesville and Concord thinking the level would be the same, only to learn it was a far reach from MJT. Go buy one for yourself or go grab some free popcorn and soda and let these guys take care of your service needs.

I have 2015 Toyota corolla. it has been in the shop for numerous times for a transmission jerking. the service representative said: they didn't know what it was? . Now, it making all kind of funny noises. They said trade in one year. That didn't happen, also I was suppose to get a better interest rate in one year. Samantha Fox was excellent to work with at Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota. Samantha communicated a lot of information and worked hard to get us the vehicle we wanted. She gave 5 star customer service!

My wife took our 2011 Rav4 in to Mike Johnson Toyota in Hickory, NC for the 35,00 mile service on 5-13-16. Seems to me like the curse of Friday the 13th kicked in fully. $310 later she brought the car home! It was suggested to her that they do MUCH more than a typical oil change. I checked the maintenance recommendations that came with our car, and no where in it is listed the "additional" services they suggested and did. I feel ripped off!

Went with a friend to look at cars. They looked only at her credit score, not at how she was able to pay loan back

After test driving a vehicle, the salesman s calling to see how much the pay off on my auto loan was, and then checking out my car I was going to trade they come back to tell me I have no credit.. I can check my credit now on any app and find it through equifax or my loan company. Considering I do have a loan I make payments on monthly and it goes up every time I make a payment. But no, apparently my credit is 0 . He tells me it takes a while to load or before anyone other than me can see it. Fine, whatever, I wasn t too upset. Upset because I had my heart set out on the vehicle but not so much that I couldn t just walk out and go talk to my loan provider about getting approved for a larger loan. So I leave and within 30 minutes I received a notification that my credit score had dropped.. thanks for that, by the way. So my nonexistent credit score drops 4 points when Mike Johnson s Toyota checks it but they can t see it? Okay.

Nathaniel was truly the best sales person I had ever had the pleasure of dealing with when purchasing a car. The first day I came in just looking at cars and pricing not knowing what we really wanted. Then Nathaniel came right up to us and introduced his self and started asking if there was anything in particular we was looking for.we said a small suv.so we looked around we liked a se camry and the xse camry but leaned more toward the se cause of price. He never pushed us into anything
So he worked his numbers up and It wasn't exactly what we wanted and he kept trying to get around our numbers and we still wasn't there so we told him we would go home and think about it. I was almost at my car and he came running out saying my name and asking what about this small suv well it really wasn't appealing to us so he said just to keep him informed if anything was to change. Well next morning at 9am he calls and we talk and I talk about trading in my dream truck for the xse and he was like what u really are considering on trading your truck and I said yeah if u don't mind working up some numbers. So he did within 10 min he replied back with the numbers. I called him telling him my truck was at my place of work and would have to go get it he said that was fine about what time I would be there so he could be waiting on us. So from here on out u know what happens next the dreaded paper work lol,and we end up with our dream car. So long story short never thought I would have had the experience buying a new car that was bran new with it being my first new car ever meeting the best sales person any one could ever ask for.i didn't know Nathaniel and he didn't know me but when the deal was done I felt like family. I hope he stays with Mike Johnson of hickory for years to come so when we come back I can specially ask for the man named Nathaniel Holmes.

these guys really do a great job, the sales staff is Professional, , we just purchased a new Tacoma truck from Will Brown, and Andy took care of some problems in locating the exact one we wanted, we also own a Toyota Matrix which we have serviced with MIKE JOHNSONS for about five years, and ROBERT HELMS, always does a great JOB, and if you are in a hurry , TABITHA has been KNOWN to accelerate the visit a little, she is a worker, SCOTT is a MECHANIC you can trust, and he knows what he is doing , he can usually Diagnose the problem accurately in just minutes, instead of waiting for an HOUR just to find out what is wrong, I strongly recommend getting your car ,or TRUCK serviced with MIKE JOHNSONS HICKORY TOYOTA, and my wife SHARI ,AND I PLAN TO CONTINUE doing business with them for a long time, DARYL PRIEST

I just bought a new 1794 Tundra from Hickory Toyota and the entire experience was fantastic! I did everything via email, never set foot in the dealership. I had a trade in, they gave me a great deal on it and the price of the Tundra. Nicolette was awesome to work with, Andy was every bit as good. I discovered that the Auxiliary battery in our 2012 PriusV was bad just hours before I was to go out of town. So I called Mike Johnson Toyota and they got me in and replaced the battery in less than 45 minutes. They've always been courteous and expedient with our vehicles, which is why we wouldn't consider using any other facility to care for our vehicles and family. These people definitely earns 5 Stars.

The man who helped me Lance was very good. However when it takes over an hour and a half to get your oil changed that is unacceptable. I will never buy a Toyota again. If you buy anything from them as soon as they get your money you will wish you had went somewhere else. Besides all that the trucks are not what they once were. They give a lot of trouble.

Everyone there at Mike's are very help full. Anything you ask them about they try real hard to help you with. I had my granddaughter with me and she want to see your exercise room. Even though it's only for your workers the lady took us to it and showed her that was relly nice of her to do that. I love coming to your place Mike I tell all my friends to come to your place and get a car. I love the way you all treat your buyers.

I admit, the process with buying a car was a bit of a roller coaster ride...

We had an idea of what we wanted in our vehicle and found something at Mike Johnson's we really liked. Now, I'm credit challenged so financing what we originally looked at was a no-go, but Nathaniel made a suggestion that may work. After taking a look, I liked the alternative and we went from there, got an approval, and began the paperwork.

The issue came in between the first day with the paperwork until the other day - about a week total. The finance company we originally went with made it a nightmare. The company required one piece of documentation, then another, then again another. It was either the wrong thing, didn't meet requirements and so on. Part of it was our fault as we got some of the information crossed on our side, but it began to grown into a complete headache! After several phone calls and frustration setting in we gave up and decided we were going to return the car. At this point we had a very bad taste in our mouth not only with Global Lending Services but Mike Johnson Toyota.

However, Nathaniel, Brenda, Gus, and Andy worked together behind the scenes to find an alternative for our problem with financing. They contacted me later in the afternoon to advise that instead of returning the car, they were able to find a finance alternative for us. The new deal saved us money with a lower finance rate and payments versus what GLS could offer. In the end we accepted the new offer and re-signed the deal that evening.

These guys really worked hard to try to make this a better experience with a very difficult lender - not to mention a customer extremely frustrated and angry - and took the time to make sure we ended up in a vehicle that met our needs and that we loved.

I bought a new Toyota Corolla here. Everyone I encountered at this dealership was very friendly and polite, and no one pushed anything too hard. I don t know if anyone would consider car shopping fun, but it certainly wasn t unpleasant.
We had originally agreed to have this dealer swap cars with another dealer so I could get the car I wanted without certain options so I could purchase it at my target price, but due to some miscommunication maybe, Mike Johnson s wasn t able to get the cheaper car. However, they sold me the car they had on the lot (same year, model and color, just more options) at our agreed price. They didn t even ask me to reconsider the price, which I found to be very trustworthy of them.

It's a great place to shop for Toyota cars, suv and trucks. The staff is friendly but service on New Vehicle Glitches is to be determined. My experience so far is small electrical glitches in a new car with less than 9k miles and we are experiencing less than par service on the vehicle, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Great service is the priority here and it shows! Brought our vehicle for a regular oil change appointment and also a repair. Greeted by the Express Service Manager (Scott Wheatley). Scott communicated the costs upfront & time needed. Our vehicle was ready on time and within our budget. It is actually refreshing to work with service professionals who understand and fix the problem the first time!

Not just the best Toyota experience we have ever had, but the best dealership experience we have ever had; period. My husband and I sold our home in Spokane, WA and moved to Hickory, NC just over a week ago. We came to Mike Johnson to have our other set of tires mounted and balanced and that was all. We were being helped by Cody K regarding our tires. Prior to arriving in Hickory, our 2010 Prius had been losing power at very slow speeds in addition to a knocking sound periodically. Cody listened thoroughly to my husband while he explained the issue with the Prius and then allowed my husband to speak to one of their Master mechanics about the issue as well. Please keep in mind that five other Toyota dealerships refused to even listen to our issue with the car because the Prius was not throwing any error codes. So after our tires were installed and their Master Mechanic listened to my husband explain the issue with our Prius, they were able to physically diagnose our Prius issues and resolve the problem. We were treated amazing!! Unfortunately, this review tops out at five stars and I would certainly give them 10 if it were possible. At previous Toyota dealerships, we begged to have someone just listen to our story about our car because we knew there had to be a simple resolution. As it turned out, the resolution was quite simple; Mike Johnson Toyota!! When I need another vehicle, I will no doubt be buying it here and will not even bother looking elsewhere. So, just to make this very clear for any future customers who might be considering Mike Johnson Toyota, this is the best service I have ever received in my entire life!!

Hands down the sweetest sales team ever! I had the pleasure of working with Samantha Fox & Norm during my journey to find a new car. They were both so thoughtful and nice. I loved how they did not pressure you into buying and wanted to make sure that I could financially afford what I was getting. They were both very personable and I will definitely be coming next time it s time to get a new car (asking for Norm or Samantha of course!!).

Well, I wanted to do business here...truly! I went there to purchase a 2017 toyota camry on a Friday. March 23rd to be exact. I drove a little over 2 hours and brought my dad with me. I knew what I wanted and so did the salesmen. They knew I wanted to come down on the price and even had 2 salesmen working with me to get a better deal to make this sale proceed. As soon as the salesmen wrote out something I would have been ok signing on ...another man came over with a list of other vehicals claiming we came there for a reason because they had the best deal around....and informed me that the listing price was firm. Haha...which I knew was not the case...I did my research. Then wanted to tell me they had other vehicals on the lot for "lower prices". First of all money wasn't the issue LOL. The issue is this...don't take advantage of someone that you know that WANTS a vehical....any other person would have said fine and signed away. This dealership wanted their money...they got it....but not from me. They wasted their time and mine. I'll be honest. I walked away that Friday discouraged because I really did like that camry. But that Monday I became the new owner of a 2017 dodge challenger at a dealership in Charlotte with less miles than that camry and could not be any happier!! Don't settle people. There is always something bigger and better.

Almost two years ago I purchased a used Tundra from this dealership. Recently I learned the hitch and rear bumper were in serious need of repair due to excessive rust. I reached out to the dealership to make them aware of my problem. Dennis contacted me almost immediately and offered to help me resolve the problem. To make a long story short, all the necessary repairs were made at a minimal cost to me. The technician that did the work, Ryan, also did an excellent job. The folks at Hickory were willing to go to great lengths to ensure I felt I was treated fairly and I sincerely appreciate their efforts.

I called the day before, to see if I had anymore oil changes on my service plan. After talking to 4 different people I finally found out that I had some left. I drove 30 mins to there dealership the next and they tell me that I don't have anymore left. The service dept needs to get on the same page. Mike Johnson just lost my business.

It was great to be able to have the techs come out and help get my car started. They also, took my car in and did the maintenance and brought it back.

Nice place but when buying a car make sure you know how much the added warranties cost.. they don't give you a total...just a slightly increased payment...but add it up over loan payments and you could fix it yourself.. if it happens...If your normal insurance doesn't cover it already. Service department gets 5 stars tho....

I own a Toyota Prius V and a few weeks ago, while passing through Hickory, my check engine light came on. In a crazy panic i called the nearest dealership. Ray answered my call and from the very beginning he was amazing. He managed to calm me down and worked my car in to be seen on a busy Saturday. Not only did Ray accommodate me while calming me down but he also has great knowledge of my warranty,processed my claim, and had my water pump repaired in what i consider record time! My experience was so great Mike Johnson Toyota is now where I will take all of my service needs. Thanks again Ray!

I bought a toyota rav 4 from mike johnson toyota. The orginal car that I bought had problems with the awd system. Mike johnson toyota replaced my new car with another identical car. Their customer service is awesome, and are totally willing to help you. I will definitely go back if I choose to buy another one. I would recommend anyone to buy their new car from them.
