I highly recommend this dealership to anybody who is looking to buy a new car or truck, they treat you ad if they have known you all your life. The sales staff is great never pushy like most and they will work with you to get the best deal on what you want not trying to push you into something else.

They made buying a new truck as painless as possible. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable the entire time. They explained everything well and very competitively price their vehicles. After talking to steve 2 days before my 6 hour drive there the dealership was already pressuring me into a undecided down payment. Thanks to my experiece one there is the possibility that they lined up 2 sales to push their customers to bad decisions on the same day or as soon as I got there the car was "sold" and present on the parking lot. That was yesturday... surprisingly the same car 2013 zl1 white is on the market again for a lower price. Suprises right. Dont be pushed around by dealers... know what your doing.

I just bought a 2020 Toyota Tacoma from them. My salesman was Greg Willis. He was helpful, listened to what I wanted both in features and price range. Not only did he go above and beyond to make sure I received what I wanted, but was extremely knowledgeable about the Tacoma. I was very satisfied with how I was treated and how everything was handled. I would highly recommend Johnson s, and especially salesman, Greg Willis.

Took my wife's car in today for an oil change. The service that Nick Julian and other associates was top notch. Our car was done in a flash. All these guys are pros at what they do, will definitely use them again.

I bought a new set of Michelins from Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota. The price and service were outstanding. They were very careful with my alloy wheels and balanced them perfectly! I had my oil changed at Mike Johnson's the other day and Cody Kelsoe helped me. I cannot say enough good things about Cody! It was raining and he went out of his way to ensure I didn't get wet. Every time I visit the dealership I find something different that makes me know I chose the right place. At purchase; the guys were super cool and helpful. There was no feeling of being looked down or up at. It was more like buying a vehicle from a family member who was happy to explain anything so your decision is well informed. Now, I have been back a few times for scheduled service. It's clear that the entire staff is the same way. Your always politely greeted, they are very personable and approachable. The turn around is reasonable for the volume that is being dealt with and even the waiting area is super nice. Thank you ladies and gentlemen for what you do and how you go about it.

I came here to post a review but wanted to read other reviews first to see if my experience with this dealership was a rare case. After reading the negative reviews, which I highly recommend (I wish I had) it is fair warning to anyone considering this dealership to be strongly advised to be aware of the potential risks of going here.

While there are many good reviews and I personally have had a previous good experience with them, I can honestly say that as long as you are willing to accept at face value what you're being told, then there is a good possibility that you will have a reasonable experience. But given the opportunity to be dishonest and untrustworthy they will take advantage of that and of you. You would think being a return customer would hold a little value with them. But that's definitely not the case.

Just in a brief summary, my wife and I were told multiple different stories throughout the several hours we were there about all our options that we later discovered to be untrue. We were offered a deal one day which they were pressuring us to sign that day, only to find out the next day when we returned to accept it, that the deal wasn't really approved. And then tried to get us to put more money on a down payment and have a higher payment. None of which we were told the day before. We were told that we were approved through 2 or 3 lenders on one vehicle, then it changed to we were only approved through one, then it changed to we were actually approved through 2 or 3 lenders but the others wanted more of a down payment and a trade in. Great way to treat a return customer, right? With that in mind, you need to know that you will pay too much for the vehicle you purchase here. There are better offers at other dealerships. We did find that out when we visited another dealership.

At the end of the day, their credibility is more than questionable and it would be a wise decision for anyone reading this to look elsewhere before "giving Mike a try." Which is an interesting slogan because our experience with them was definitely very "trying." Please know that I am not angry but I am simply trying to help others to not make the same mistake we and others have made with trusting everything they tell you. You can't. Please also know that the "Response from the owner" you will read isn't actually the owner and is a lot of fluff. Another testament to their dishonesty.

Great experience. Friendly greeting from Tabitha. I went in for an oil change and she was extremely helpful. This was my first time at Mike Johnson's. While I was waiting, Tabitha showed me my cabin filter and air filter. She suggested that the cabin filter be changed and I agreed. She also said that the air filter looked okay and I agreed with her on that, as well. She did not try to sell me something that I did not need. Honesty is always the best policy. She noted that one of the tires was starting to 'feather' slightly and recommended an alignment. I asked her to have the alignment done as that's cheaper than buying tires. It was found that the vehicle was not in alignment. Good investment for me to have it done. I will return to Mike Johnson's for my future needs.

We've bought 2 Toyotas here now. Our first was a used Corolla and it's been going strong for 10 years. Over 200,000 miles and still a great little car. This trip we bought a 2018 RAV4 and love it. I always shop around to make sure I get the most for my money and always find the best deal here. We got a great deal, and there was no pressure. It was a pleasant experience and actually progressed pretty quickly. The sales and finance team are top notch and Travis and Jeff are great to deal with. Also, the service department team makes what is usually a stressful trek into a pleasant visit. Free popcorn and a diner on site. Way to go guys. Thanks for making a car dealership what it should be, and thanks for making us feel like our business is appreciated.

Went to Toyota Express Lube for oil change and tire rotation. It took 1 hour and tried to bill me $50 just for oil change. This place used to be 30 min. or less and around $30 for oil change.

I had a great experience at Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota. William Wilfong did a great job finding the truck that I needed and for the price I wanted. I got a super finance rate, payment, and top $$$ for my trade in. William even drove the truck from Hickory to Lenoir and picked up my trade in the next day. I will be sure to refer family and friends to William Wilfong at Mike Johnson's Toyota.

The service guys got me in and out very quickly. They also inspected my car and were very friendly. I feel very comfortable going there without my husband. They are very professional and I will be back. I did not buy my car in Hickory nor would I because of the experience I had, but the service department does great work.

Had a great car buying experience. The salesman, Wes for very friendly and attentive, Josh worked to get me a great price for my trade-in and financing, and Chris made signing easy. I recommend them for a great car buying experience and would purchase from them again.

The some of then people was friendly and nice but some just didn't even give a friendly smile. The only thing I was not happy about my service this last time was that I didn't see that somehow one of my rim on my car got scratched really bad on one side from what I am guessing somebody dragged my wheel when changing it!!! NOT HAPPY at all!!!!

I have always been reluctant to consider going to a dealership for basic servicing as I've always known them to be very expensive. I'm glad I checked this one out because they were actually the lowest price in town for what I needed done! On top of that, they were very fast and both friendly and professional. The waiting area was probably the best waiting area i've ever been in, not just for a repair shop, but for anything! I almost wish there was something else that I needed done so I could go back. haha I've never recommended any type of automotive business, but I am this one.

Service visit that was very pleasant. For a Saturday they were busy but overall the time spent was worth it. Extremely friendly service staff.

Got a 2018 Corolla had it 7 months. Front end pops when using breaks. Was told it's normal and safe .Automatic high beams don't work correctly. Technician left engine cover off the car. And after a week car wasn't fixed.

The are all talk. They say that they are the best, but they are running a questionable operation up there. They kept asking for my information, but I am not going to give them my name and contact info if they don't even have good looking cars at the lot.

My car salesman was Stephen Marsh. He did an amazing job! I had my heart set on a Toyota Highland Hybrid but they are hard to find right now. I test drove the gas model to see what model I liked and they called around and found the car I wanted in Fl. It took less than a week to arrive and I absolutely love it! We took my wifes 2015 mustang in for oil change and tire rotation for the extended warranty. just got around to looking it over and found a broken inner fender tab on the right rear .I wasnt told anything about it happening .Its not that big of a deal but trying to hide it is .we have only put 1500 miles on this car in over a year so it stays in the garage all the time .I know it wasnt broke before .

Visited the speedy Service Department for rear tire loosing pressure. Cody Kelsie went above and beyond to take care of me and turned a frustrating situation with my service package bought at a different Toyota dealership into a very pleasant experience! Lesson learned....my loyalty will be with Mike Johnson moving forward!

I had a rattle on my 2003 Rav4 and I called Tracy in the service department; she told me to drop by and that she would be there till 7:00 that night. Because I work 8-5 everyday and hate dealing with things like this, I had put off this visit to the service department. I pulled in and Tracy laid under my car to see what the rattle was, noted it was a loose exhaust bracket, pulled it in the bay, tightened the bracket, and sent me on my way. She was the most personable and trustworthy car dealership employee I have ever met (I grew up in dealerships too). After my experience I would recommend anyone to see Tracy & Mike Johnsons Toyota for service!

She was very helpful to inform us regarding the recall notice on our RAV4 to avoid an additional trip. She kept us informed throughout the progress of the service. Me and my wife purchased two vehicles from Hickory Toyota and I was blown away by the kindness and great attitude of Dwayne Willix and Nick in finance. I just bought a used Mazda CX-5 from this dealership. We went in late in the afternoon around 7:40, 20 minutes before close, and still were treated with respect and not shunned away. I had the pleasure of working with miss Pat Avery, and she was an absolutely phenomenal associate! This is the best car buying experience I have ever had, and I will definitely be back.

The BEST car buying experience of my life. They sold me the value of the car beyond aesthetics thoroughly explaining and demonstrating each safety and convenience feature. Seth Schnuit the salesman that helped me was knowledgeable and courteous. From the first car I purchased in 1979 until now I have never had a salesman treat me as though I'm competent and I was thoroughly pleased with experience from beginning to end.

I couldn't have ask for better service! Friendly staff, quality work in a timely manner and a great cup of coffee! I was also very excited to have a free manicure while waiting! I would recommend the service department to anyone!

Had an opportunity to stop by and test drive a couple of cars this Memorial weekend and looking to do business if offer was right. All in all the sales guy(Dwayne W) was respectful at the beginning during test drive. A few annoying things during test drive is reaching over from the back seat pushing buttons on the steering wheel and showing the features etc. Felt like there were no respect from being so close. After working on some numbers me and my finance decided we wanted to wait and do a little more research before we decide to buy. With that said, both sales rep were very pressuring to get us to buy the car even after we had already made our mind. Haggle experience with these folks and its not the first time.

I was visiting Hickory, and I had a dash light come on. I called this dealer, and they offered for me to come in to have it checked. All of the staff that I met were super friendly, and they were able to take care of me. I couldn t be more thankful as I had my kids with me. Bonus: they had a popcorn machine that the kids loved. It helped to keep them occupied. Excellent service department!

Don't purchase 86/BRZ OEM parts here. Parts here are ridiculously overpriced when compared to Toyota's own website (4x the cost, I then showed the Toyota OEM price and listing on Toyota's own website and yet the cashier still noted, "Don't know what site you could've been on."

I buy all my OEM parts now from the Subaru down the street or FT86speedfactory

I had no problems with mike Johnson Toyota I would recommend it to anyone.

Shawn May is absolutely the best. Shawn went above and beyond his service consultant duties when I had to bring my car in for service. Shawn and the service tech made sure my car was fixed correctly and also checked on a "possible future recall" notice I had received in the mail. The service was thorough and completed in a timely manner. I only have my car serviced by Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota because their service department, especially Shawn, is top-notch.

They went up on the payments of my brothers truck without any kind of notice at all. We found out when they reposed the truck. The woman on the phone was very ruxe as well.

Eric Pennell was the salesmen who helped me out. This was the first car I had ever purchased new. He was more than helpful during the process of buying the car. Being completely honest with me and helping me get what I wanted. Thanks Eric couldn't ask for better service. I'll be back!

Also tried to tell me my new car needed $2100 in repairs after a trusted family mechanic just inspected the entire car. Do not let them scam you with their corrupt tactics.
