Advertised a car for a price, and I agree to full asking price with sales agent. After I begin filling out paperwork, the price increases 20%. General Sales Manager Dan Lewis refused to honor deal. Dan even admitted this happens "occasionally" before abruptly hanging up on me.

Please stay way from this dealership!!!

Bought the vehicle on May 29th, Still can't register my car because I haven't receive the Certificate of origin yet. Tried contacting my sale rep a few times but she didn't answer. I ended up calling the dealership instead since she didn't reply to me. The dmv clerk was nice when I spoke with her on the phone but she's not sure why I haven't received it yet either. I'm assuming they forgot to submit the paperwork to get it for me. Still waiting to hear back from them.

update: Does the certificate of origin has anything to do with DMV? I"m not registering my car in California. I thought the dealer suppose to have those already?

Loved every minute of our experience at Magnussen's Lexus in Fremont. Amazing experience to have when purchasing a new automobile. Gabe was wonderful, no high pressure, but managed to get us all that we wanted in our purchase of a Certified Automobile. Then Craig took over as our technology tutor. Being a total techno geek, I was very concerned about all these "new gadgets", but Craig walked me through each item and as often as needed to get me comfortable with each item. Thanks to both Gabe and Craig our car purchasing experience couldn't have been better. We certainly will be back for our next purchase and are considering driving past other dealerships to service at Magnussens!!

Absolutely the best car buying experience I've eve...

Absolutely the best car buying experience I've ever had! I did quite a bit of research prior to settling on Manussen Lexus. They worked their magic with rebates to the tune of 2k less than my asking price. My salesman Shane Sorge is a genuinely friendly helpful guy. He is highly recommended! If your in the market go a Lexus in the Bay please give them a try.

Went in for recall was able to get a major maintenance done also since it was coming up. Ven was my advisor and got me checked in for both along with a loaner car since it was a few hours work. All the work was completed in the suggested time was able to pick up my car before the afternoon was over. The service team takes good care of customers which is much appreciated. My wife and I got to the dealership on a Monday morning (1/11/2016 around 11am). It was not a busy day for the dealership, so my wife and I thought we would get great service. When we got there no one was there to help us out. We had to ask the receptionist to call someone to help us. After 45 minutes of waiting we finally got a sales guy to help us. The sales guy was not helpful at all. He insulted us by saying we don't know anything about cars. Granted I don't know everything there is to know about Lexus cars, but that is what the sales guy is suppose to do, to inform us. He didn't do a damn thing. To make a long story short this place sucks! If you are going to buy a Lexus don't buy it from here

My guess is due to the exploding population in the Bay Area, the service here has gone way down over the last five years. They just can't handle the volume, or don't care as much for quality bc they are making the dough anyway. My car doesn't get cleaned as well anymore (one time it didn't get cleaned AT ALL, even though somebody had personally checked off it had been cleaned) and the wait is horrendous. If they say 2 hours, expect 2 hours 30 or 45. The managers ooze a nervous air of always being behind or the threat of being fired from a less-than-10-star rating from a customer. I feel for them. Whoever is running Magnussen Lexus of Fremont is not doing it with humanity or quality in mind... $$$$$

My experience with Magnussen was first class. Jim Maroudas worked within guidlines of how I wanted to work/negotiate the deal. He provided the best price and stood behind his word/commitment to me. I was in and out of the dealership within an hour (following working most details over the phone). What a seamless, painless transaction and an excellent deal!

I would highly recommend both this dealership and specifically Jim to friends and family.

We have dealt with the best and the worst out there, and it s rare to find sales professionals who are diligent, honest, helpful, pays attention to details, listens to your needs and gives you an exceptional car buying experience. I had an awesome experience here. I usually hate going to car dealerships because I am used to being hounded and pushed to look at cars I am not even interested in. When I first got there I met a man named Chris Lin, who was friendly and not pushy. I told him what I was looking for and I felt like he actually listened to what I wanted. So after test driving 2 cars I knew I had found the car I wanted and I drove off the lot a happy customer. Highly recommended!

I have to start by saying that Lexus is my number one vehicle of all time! But I want to personally speak on the amazing excellent service I received from, Jim Maroudas, Don Diep and Amaira! These employees went above and beyond helping me find the perfect gift for my sons 18th Birthday! Jim kept me informed of any vehicles that were with in the budget and looked out for our well being by making sure any Lexus he sold had to pass Lexus inspection. Don did great by being patient with me and all the questions and concerns I had before closing the deal with us since Jim wasn t available at the time. Amaira was amazing for going above and out of her way to let Lexus allow me to borrow one of their amazingly beautiful bow! Yes, that beautiful red bow you guys see on the commercials! That one! It was amazing and made my sons 18th Birthday a day and moment he will never forget! Thank you Magnussen Lexus of Freemont, most of all your employees for being so kind, so professional and amazing in making this special moment for my son the most memorable ever! I cannot believe the unprofessionalism and the service you guys provided to the brand new car we just bought from you. We were promised a coating, which you guys sold to us, and you guys told us it is done. We called Eric, and he said it is done as well. However, my wife has washed the car numerous of times and still find dusts hard to come off. Aren t they suppose to slide off as promised? Lexus IS a luxury brand, how could you guys lie to us? It s not that we didn t pay you guys. We included all the additional fees. We absolutely feel cheated. This is not how we do business. I m expecting a reply or I will take this to a higher up or even have my kids expose you guys location and business on social media.

Greg Veerman has always taken excellent care of me and my Lexus. He is one of the reasons why I buy a Lexus. There are many different manufacturers that provide the same quality vehicle but I also look at service. If I cannot trust the company, team or individual then I simply won't buy that car.

Many times I feel that I am being pushed into servicing something that is not necessary but not with Greg. I really trust his opinion and will follow him wherever he goes.

I purchased a Preowned Lexus ES300h from Magnassen...

I purchased a Preowned Lexus ES300h from Magnassen in Fremont, Everything went ok or acceptable except for a few things. It has been one week and I already paid for the vehicle, they already cashed my check and I still do not have delivery of my car. First of all, the Certified vehicle was not inspected as stated and repairs took longer than expected. Three things needed to be fixed. First, the Windshield needed to be replaced because of a chip or crack in the line of sight, on the driver side , one alloy wheel needed to be repaired and the vehicle needed wheel alignment due to uneven tire wear. These things were not noted on the 161 point Certification report. They were either missed or the Certification was not really done. Maybe the latter. It makes me wonder if they really do the inspections on returned leased vehicles. Anyway, there has been delay after delay, with a slow response. They need to look into these procedures and they certainly need improvement. I hope this provides some necessary constructive feedback. It appears they really boast about the Dealer Certified vehicles but do they really do them or do they just do some of them and rubber stamp the Pass or Fail boxes that are checked off. It certainly makes me wonder.

Dan Lewis was very accommodating and assisted in making the entire purchase process simplified and efficient. Since I drove from Sacramento to purchase my 20 RX450h-f sport, the dealerships in my area could not ever come close to the pricing or inventory that was offered. I would definitely recommend to look at Magnussen Lexus if Freemont before finalizing a deal with any other dealership. Thanks again for the great service, pricing and no pressure experience.

When I first visited here to buy RX350 on Tuesday, they provided very attractive proposal. They didn't have the one what I want but promised to bring one by Friday. We made an appointment on Saturday afternoon and visited again. They kept talking about various options in spite of clear expression of not interest. They were talking about 3.9% APR which was 1% higher than other dealer. We checked the APR of StevensCreek Lexus and confirmed 2.9% for RX350. Then they said I had to select either 2.9% without $2,000 discount or 3.9%APR with discount. I was very frustrated from the process and strongly doubt that they really brought the car. So I walked out.

After our nightmare experience at Lexus of Marin, ...

After our nightmare experience at Lexus of Marin, we landed ourselves at Magnussen Lexus and dealing with Steve Yi and Monty to purchase a certified CT200h and I can't express enough in words how great the experience was. Steve was the consummate professional and did not give us the BS that we experienced at Marin.

Steve made the experience short and sweet and as impossible or out of reach it would have seemed, he entertained the 3 offers that we presented without a sign of disdainful attitude. As for our trade-in, they gave us a more than fair market value that we did not expect.

What I feel was the best part was that they made the extra effort to accommodate our schedule. It was a last minute decision to see the car and I happened to be in the area to stop by and see the car we found on the internet. Steve would eventually have to wait a couple of hours for my wife to make the trip down from Walnut Creek it was Friday after 5pm. Knowing this the manager, Monty, had put the car on hold. (Hmm, novel idea sure wish some other dealers [Lexus of Marin] had this same approach)

We worked and agreed on a final number, which took about 45 minutes and the next thing we know we were the owners of a beautiful Lexus. Keep in mind that the dealership closes at 9pm and my wife did not make it to the dealership until after 7:30, so we did not get out of the dealership until 10pm. But that didn t keep Steve Yi from taking the time to educate us on the electronics that were loaded on this vehicle. He could have gone home after he passed us on to the finance guy. But instead he waited for us to finish the paper work and then sat down with us to make sure we understood the most important features on the car.

I can t tell you where to shop for your vehicle but I would strongly recommend Magnussen. And if you do go to Magnussen, I recommend talking to Steve Yi. I m 48 and have purchased a lot of vehicles in my lifetime and I would say that this was by far one of the best, if not the best experience I ve had buying a car. No pressure, no BS, no problem.

Service was good, on time, and mechanic was very respectful of our space. He also cleaned up after the work. 4 stars is because they wanted to charge for a full battery replacement when the battery actually indicated it has an 84 month warranty from replacement date of 03/18 which was imprinted on battery.

I recently purchased my 2013 RX350 from Magnussen Lexus of Fremont. After searching the internet for prices. Fred Omar provided the best price quotes of all the dealers in the Bay Area. Fred was very up front and details on his quotes. After several phone conversations with Fred and along with email commnunications. Fred took the time to explain and presented the available options to me. His professionalism lured me to drive 60 miles to see him. When I arrived at the dealer, Fred listened to my needs and he valued customer time. He was quick at delivering information and prices. I brought home the RX350 the same visit. I recommended to all my friends to see Fred Omar for their next purchase.

Ok so I normally don't do reviews but I had to throw this one in. My daughter's brand new Lexus NX was damaged by a flying object on the freeway coming home in the Bay Area. It destroyed the hood Blew a Hole in the windshield and there were some fluids leaking. So we didn't want to drive it home to Reno . I still had the service managers cell phone number in my phone from when we lived in Livermore California. When I told him what happened he told me to bring it by his house. Keep in mind this was Sunday afternoon. When we when we got to his house he look the car over and recommended we not try and drive it home and that he would get it Lexus in Fremont and contact The Body Shop for us. He did not have to do any of this taking time out of his Sunday to help us is just the kind of guy he is. The level of service but we've received over the years from magnussen Lexus and their service manager Monte Munoz is second to none. I can't thank them enough for all they've done to help us with the situation. Thank you Troy Crawford

Smooth as can be. I sent in a request for information online about a used car. Received an email from Gabe Hernandez right away. We chatted and I came in a few hours later for a test drive. We then settled on a price and I left a short time after that with the keys. They even had a massage chair to sit in while the paperwork was being finalized. I truly appreciate Gabe's professionalism and would definitely work with him again.

Fred is the MAN!

If you get the chance, work with this man. He has a great attitude, very knowledgeable in all things Lexus and has been very helpful even after I made my purchased.

Overall sales and service departments have been great to work with. Service department has been very flexible and willing to work with my schedule.

Magnussen's is where we have purchased and had our cars serviced since the early 2000's. This place deserves 10 stars! It is always a pleasure working with their well organized service department and highly efficient Service Advisers like Arnold Stovall. I live quite a ways away in Los Altos, however, the lounge for waiting to get a minor service is so well appointed that I can get a ton of work done or, relax in a massage chair in peace and quiet. When I have a major service due, they bring me a rental car. How cool is that?

I have been a customer of Magnussen Lexus's service department for my 2008 IS250 for a number of years. I purchased the car certified pre-owned from Putnam Lexus in Redwood City and after my service contract with their dealership ran out, I became very dissatisfied with the level of service I received from them. I was recommended to Magnussen by a Toyota dealer after taking the car there for an oil change and have been with Magnussen ever since. My service advisor, Michael Start, has always been a complete professional in every aspect of his work. They do an excellent job in keeping you informed of repair progress and working with you to coordinate maintenance according to your schedule and budget. I have always found their staff to be forthright and honest and they are happy to answer direct questions regarding repair costs and recommendations. On several occasions, Michael has saved me significant money by recommending deferring certain services until they are absolutely needed. After having such terrific experience with the service department, when it came time to consider a new vehicle, the choice to remain within the Magnussen family was an easy one. Michael graciously referred me to Fred Omar in sales, who had previously helped some members of his family with their purchase needs and I was able to trade my old car in at a fair price and drive off in the exact certified pre-owned vehicle I had wanted. I cannot recommend Magnussen Lexus strongly enough to anyone in the market for a new or used luxury vehicle.
