Everything was great but the bathrooms in the rooms need locks on them! Little kids need to be locked out sometimes to give adults private space to take care of business! Also the prices of everything is extreme.

Staff is very helpful! We had a blast while at the waterpark and arcade. Their deals/packages are fantastic, got a free dinner for 2 and a discount at their spa! We are very upset that they are closing, try to get in before they do!

When entering, the staff were very friendly and made sure my experience was very good. The pool was very cold though and it felt unsanitary. Once leaving the pool, i was freezing and the room was not warming up very fast. Before going to bed, a stink bug flew onto me and i wasnt very pleased. The only reason i m giving this place 2 stars is because they at least supply you with an experience and some very nice employees.

Even though my grandson enjoyed his day, I didn't care for the water park being so stuffy. I had to wait for my family to finish playing in the water park another area that was ventilated.

The waterpark and hotel itself are great. I stayed there once with a Groupon and had a great time. We then stayed there again for Thanksgiving in 2014 with a group of 12 and though we had fun, customer service was a nightmare to deal with. First, upon making the reservation for the block of rooms they failed to reserve one of the rooms and almost didn't give me the advanced rate because when I called back to reconfirm it was not in the advanced rate period anymore. Second, upon checkout they incorrectly applied what we had paid for our room leaving us owing more at checkout then what we owed. They said they would look into it and I left as I was trying to be polite as it was check in time for new guests and saw they were swamped so did not want to tie them up and I was told they would indeed look into the issue (tip: don't leave as you will not hear back from them). Heard nothing back, which means my only recourse was to go through my credit card company. Basically they submit your claim back to the hotel, but then the hotel can say whatever they want which of course, and big shock based on how they do business, they are going to keep any money you paid whether it is right or not. I have receipts showing what I paid and they just keep sending different corrected bills which still don't correctly reflect what I actually paid. So if they get your reservation and bill right you should be fine and have a good time, but if they don't good luck to you. As I was checking out not one, but many guests were having similar problems. I would not risk going here again and I would not support a company that shows such little regard for its repeat customers.

We all had a great time here! My husband and I (we're in our 40s), my 2 younger teenage daughters and my 10 year old niece stayed 2 nights. There are things for adults and kids of all ages to do. We personally loved the Tenpaw bowling. The waterpark was great. So many lifeguards and they were actually all actively paying attention. I have 3 young grandchildren and want my oldest daughter to come with next time (yes were definitely planning to go back) as I feel very secure with having the grandkids with as while we're very protective the lifeguards are a definite added security for us.
We also LOVE that there is a dunkin donuts in the resort as we are big coffee drinkers and the kids loved getting doughnuts every evening as a snack after swimming. Very convenient. All of the workers in every store, front desk, etc. are all extremely friendly and helpful. We also loved the little extra touches like the wolf print theme. Even the little handsoaps in the room were shaped like pawprints. Pawprint on the bathroom mirror, on the little spread on the bed, down the hallway on the carpet and the wolf call when the wave pool started. So cute. We take 2-3 waterpark getaways a year and have to say that this was one of the nicest overall that we've been to. The huge fireplace and the trees downstairs are lovely.
Being that we have visited so many I will say the one negative is the arcade. My youngest daughter looks forward to spending the later evenings at the arcades which we do quite frequently as they all have them. The problem we ran in to here was that while most arcades charge 1-4 tokens per game (.25-$1). Great wolf charges 4-8 tokens. Which is equivalent to $1-2 per game and its simply way too costly. Instead of spending hours both evenings in the arcade we only spent about an hour at most one night. That was a bit disappointing for her. So if you're reading this Great Wolf management, I would recommend lowering the pricing in there as you are way over the norm of everywhere else we've been.
I highly recommend checking them out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We took our family here for a fun get away over break and were really disappointed. They seemed overwhelmed in every area. We waited hours past check in time for our room to be ready. They eventually gave us money off because it was so late. Then when we went to get something to eat, both of the restaurants pool side were extremely slow. We stood waiting about 20 minutes for hot dogs and hamburgers. They had one cook working the taco bar so we waited a while there as well. Then in the morning we went to the main restaurant for breakfast and all 4 coffee pots were bone dry. This all could be rectified with more staff. We would really like to come back so am hoping that Great Wolf fixes this quickly. I am hesitant to return at this point.

My wife tried to check in and couldn't because of a clerical error they made. Instead of the manager trying to resolve the situation for us we ended up calling customer service while at the hotel and they helped us check-in. I believe the manager on duty was Grant. He was utterly useless. As a result of Grant wasting our time for 2 hours we could only use the pool for a limited amount of time.

We stayed in Gurnee, IL Grizzly Bear Suite with "Accessible" Bathtub, Balcony. Being wheelchair bound this place was unequipped for my needs. The beds were too high, no shower bench or shower chair was available, the toilet was too low to use it, fridge was on the ground and I could fall trying to access it, fridge should have at least been elevated. Staff sent me a small broken shower chair when requested and the second one was smaller and but couldn't even fit in the tub. No accessible door for the bathtub so no way to slide inside. The lock on the bathroom door was complicated and made no sense. I needed assistance just to open the door. That being said I was unable to shower or use my room's bathroom during my stay. The beds were way too high and I needed assistance to be lifted on and off.

Some staff was nice others not so much. Front desk, not at all. -very mixed- but it was the manager with the dyed burgundy / black hair who ruined my visit. She made false accusations against me and my family with no reason or explanation. Only saying over and over "I'm not here to debate it with you. I'm just here to kick you out."

She made me feel very uncomfortable and very unwelcome and was uncooperative when I asked for an explanation why she was "banning" us. (Like I would come back) She even had the audacity to stop me from going up a ramp midway to question me which is very dangerous! and demanded to hand her my personal cell phone for information. Who the hell does she think she is!? and how does this woman still have a job there?! I feel discriminated against.

This place does not welcome disabled people. As much money as I spent here it was an absolute waste. I will discourage anyone, especially the handicapped from ever coming. It felt better to be home and able to get out of bed by myself again. I will be calling ADA.

That pool is a breeding ground for covid as well. No guests were wearing masks inside the pool area, social distancing is nearly impossible. One of the bedrooms reeked that of a gym locker room and the other shower had remnants of the previous guests. Gross. 0 stars if possible.

Great family fun at a descent price. We only stayed over night but the kids had a lot of fun on the slides and in the wave pool. The kiddy area was great also. Room we stayed in was clean and well kept as well. We will come back again for a quick getaway.

My room was absolutely disgusting on on arrival everything seemed just fine but upon further inspection I noticed food in the refrigerator that s hadn t been cleaned out or wiped down even tho CORONAVIRUS Is HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS!! I then realized that my bed covers were very dirty with stains, crumbs, hairs and HUMAN NAILS shavinng!!!!! It was disturbing... and that s not the worst part when I called the front desk they said they couldn t send anybody to clean it until we signed out!!! So I asked for them to send us to another room and the lady at the front desk kept giving us a hard time so I just said can you atleast have someone send new sheets and disinfect wipes to clean the room that should ve already been clean at check in and she only sent me sheets so I had to go to Walgreens and buy disinfectant wipes to clean the room I payed to stay in and change the sheets that should ve been clean! Overall the stay was horrible hairdryer didn t work asked for a replacement and that one was broke too when I ordered the room it said the deluxe came with a microwave so we came equipped with food that we could warm up and eat on our stay then it turned out there was no microwaves so all that food that we bought to eat was no good! The water park was the only ok thing other then when we were in the wave pool and some kid started throwing up in front of the lifeguard and the lifeguard said nothing didn t ask anyone to get out so unsanitary like aren t you guys supposed to clean that?!??? I just can t believe how this place is run rude customer service. I have been to great wolf lodge for years in Wisconsin Dells and they would never!!!! I will be back to the dells but will never return to the gurnee location

You can DEF tell that the hotel had a makeover! Yo...

You can DEF tell that the hotel had a makeover! You smell the new carpet and paint. Also great decor throughout the hotel. The check-in process is kind of slow. Make sure you tell the person checking you in that you want your credit card tied in to the wristband. This will make purchases throughout the resort SO much easier. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I got to the room. So I called the front desk and was told I had to wait in the LONG line to have it done! NO Thanks...Everyone must get a wristband. This will also be your room key (nice touch) and entrance to waterpark. My room was in tower 1. I had asked to be next to my car so I could come and go easier. They put me in the opposite side of the parking LOT. There is NO parking by tower one. Be prepared to lug your stuff halfway around the resort before you get to your room (they do offer carts. I suggest you grab one as soon as you get there). The room size was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. Was very clean and all the towels and sheets all NEW. Would have been nice to get a patio walkout being we were on the 1st floor. Again the front desk didn't offer it. I would have gladly paid the difference. The bathroom door is a slide door and doesn't lock (smh). Waterpark- was 99% indoors. They offer towels in the waterpark. No need to bring any or bring the towels from the room. There is a small pool outside with a chairs and nice bar set up. I would think this would be perfect for the adults to get away from the noise from inside. There were lifeguards all over the place. Mostly teens and college students. I felt safe letting the kids do their thing. The wave pool is small and does not create many big waves. Mostly geared to kids I would say 5-12. The wave pool goes from zero depth to 5 ft. They had a GREAT area for kids 2-6. This is there bread and butter area. The other slides for the older kids were just OK. Plenty of bathrooms, tables, chairs throughout the waterpark. Also, there is a couple of restaurants inside of the waterpark. Again everything was cleaned and well organized. There are a few cabanas inside the waterpark that you can purchase. Those were nice and had tv's inside. Plenty of activities for the kids to do other than stay in the waterpark also. Climbing wall, mini gold, arcade, small mining area, bowling (2 or 3 lanes). Keep in mind you have to pay extra for these things. The Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream shop and Dunkin Donuts inside the hotel is a nice touch. Just wish the Dunkin Donuts was open longer hours and there toaster wasn't broken (SMH). Of course the food and other stuff are overpriced, but I've come to expect this by now. Also, being a block away from Great America and Gurnee Mills mall is GREAT. If visiting from out of state your only about 40-45 mins or so to Downtown Chicago. To wrap it up I would say this would be a GREAT place to come to during the winter time since it's close by and can solve that cabin fever., but if you want a waterpark resort you have to go to Wisconsin Dells.

Water park was nice there was a lot of slides, a wave pool, and many other things, but there wasn t a hot tub which was a big let down for me. The rooms were very nice and clean. There was also many other things to do outside of the water park. One complaint I do have (they can t really change this one)was that it was very crowded and noisy, but honestly that s to be expected. I was never worried about my own safety at great wolf lodge because the lifeguards were all very alert, and there were many smart, but strict rules put in place.

We've gone to 3 different Great Wolf Lodge (Traverse City, Wisconsin Dells and now Gurnee) and this one is our favorite - seemed like much larger park with an awesome fenced in zero depth area for the younger kids and awesome wave pool, and water slides for the older kids. We have kids from 8-2 and all had an amazing time.

Wish we could enjoy some of the other things on site without having to pay again (mini golf, ropes course, bowling) but we expected it. Rooms were clean and nice too. We will be back!

we have been here before. In the past it was great and is definitely geared toward kids. we were repeat customers. Room was nice, had fun at magic quest. the kids had a good time at the waterpark but ended up with horrible chlorine rashes and burns. we dont have sensitive skin but both of my (2) daughters feet, my sons legs and bottom as well as my arms and hands broke out. we did shower getting out of the water. we ended up leaving sunday morning without doing anymore activities because of it.

weve never had issue here or other parks before and I understand it can happen but its certainly disappointing.

Did not get to I reserved 4 months ahead of time and was told "sorry we are sold out", given inaccurate information on passes upon check-in, we mysteriously charged an "unexplained" $533 from my account the first night at 1pm; went to front desk and it couldn't be explained and was advised to talk to accounting in the AM. Took five trips to front desk and two calls to my bank to get funds reversed and back in my account. Some of the activities on the paw pass are poorly operated and have flaws that pack members running them just shrug off. Our bed did not have blankets or proper sheets, hair dryer was broken, no mircowave in room we were placed in but should have had one in the room I actually booked. My sons shoes were stolen, or we think, atill waiting to hear back from lost and found from 11am today. No apologies or offer of making things right. We have traveled to Wisconsin Great Wolf and the extra two hour drive is well.worth it. The guy working Magic Quest was amazing and built a relationship with my older kids, Sue from the Candy Shop was informative, apologetic and so much fun. We enjoyed the family time, water park and Magic Quest....but no somewhere we would go again.

My family had a fantastic time. It was our first family vacation with our 22 month old and 8 month old. We had the cabin suite. It was so cute. There was so much to do with little ones. We got them both the paw pass. The water park was excellent. My daughter loved the slides in the little kid area. Prices were high for food but that was expected. II sa some of the reviews regarding microwaves. We had one in our vending machine area. so it worked out well to heat up left over pizza and warm bottles.
Staff - excellent
Life guards - excellent
Food - breakfast was filling. Pizza was really good. Loved having a Dunkin.
We are going to plan another visit.

My family and I used to visit keylime cove before Great Wolf Lodge took over. The remodeling is great and the rooms and halls are very clean compared to before. Staff are friendly and helpful. The mascots and child activities led by staff are amazing and very family friendly. The water park was renovated and bigger than before. Food options inside the park were good bang for the buck. My family and I would love to come back!

Me and my family really enjoy this place. It's nice and colorful and not outdated like most indoor resorts. They have drinks for adults. Decent food and cute shops. Big water park area.Rooms are decent and clean. Unfortunately they had to cancel my April reservation this weekend due to renovations. The great wolf resort is taking over. Let's just say that outdated place has nothing on the more modern key lime cove. I hope the renovations are worth the trouble.

very nice touches put into this place since reopening under a new company, this was my second visit and I can't see anything to complain about. All of the staff seemed very chill and relaxed and thats likely because of a good leadership within. I wonder if they'll begin the free breakfast mornings that Key lime cove had.

After staying here when it was Key Lime Cove twice...

After staying here when it was Key Lime Cove twice and enjoying the experience this was our first stay since it has become a Great Wolf Lodge. We are here for the weekend so it is really busy and after reading the reviews posted I was prepared for issues. However, our experience has been wonderful so far! We checked in around 5, which was right after area kids get out of school so I think the crowded lobby was due to a large influx at once, but the line moved quickly. You can check in online with the app ahead of time but I am not sure if it saves much time at the desk. I tried to but I couldn t get it to work with my reservation. I used Groupon to book our room and that process worked well. Our check in person was quick, helpful and friendly and we could go straight to our room. This resort is very spread out and be prepared for a long walk if you are at the end of one of the towers. Room was perfect for 5 with a set of bunk beds for the kids in the separate space. Rooms have fridge, would like to see them add microwaves. I am posting this weekends info about times for restaurants, etc. so you can get an idea of what might be going on when you are here. Lots of activities, etc. Less options during the week, but this is expected. Water park is larger then the old Key Lime one with some nice additions of two large family raft slides and a larger wave pool. The taco place was really good and our counter service girl (Dawn?) was great! Overall our weekend is great so far and we would definitely come back.
