Definetly an upgrade from the time it was Key Lime Cove, completly remodeled. Food was great, as was the service, they added two more water slides and a wave pool. Not as warm as I remember, kids were cold at times.

Water park was awesome. Prices a bit high for us but was a good get away for the kids. They do allow us two day pool access for 1 overnight stay. Game room was definitely an expensive treat for the kids.

Worst Customer service ever! I planned my daughter's birthday there. I booked the largest apartment for 10 kids. Arrived there and the apartment was not available. They gave me a smaller one and promised one extra room. Never gave me the extra room. KIds had to leave! 2 months later I am not able to get credit or at least someone to apologize for ruining our party!

The water park was great fun, but the room was horrible for the price we paid. The remote for the TV's didn't work very well, and the volume could not be changed directly on the TV. The shower was anitquated and difficult to figure out how to correctly use. There was one microwave in the hallway that was shared between dozens of rooms, which is ridiculous.

The rooms are nice but be careful when it says it has a balcony. I reserved a room with a balcony and there was no room to sit outside. That is not a balcony. I like the fact that the water park is only open to resort guests. This helps with it not being very crowded. The hotel rates are very expensive so I was only able to stay one night. There are alot of other things to do like miniature golf. Arcade. And many other things but it all cost more money. We didn't eat at the hotel because the food prices are also very expensive so we went down the road to Golden corral. I would recommend but the prices are outrageous.

My wife and I decided to check out the recent renovation to Great Wolf Lodge (formerly Key Lime Cove) for our daughters adoption day. We got the room at a great cyber Monday base price plus resort fees. The stay was nice and the water park was a great time for our family. They've added more water slides than what KLC had and we loved it. The staff were personable and friendly too, they just about always had a smile on and were super helpful when my daughter (who is 4) "broke her toe" in the water park (she didn't really break it...thats just what she related it to in her head). They tended to her "injury" with kindness and professionalism. The room was clean and well put together and the beds were pretty comfortable. Overall I would definitely visit again

Visited the arcade with some friends and was a bit difficult to locate. The staff were nice and attentive. It was also clean even worth all the kids running around. The hotel atmosphere is alright for a Waterpark.

Had a great time being here. The staff is friendly and always keeping an eye for safety. The rooms are decent and clean overall very satisfied with my experience at keylime cove, I will definitely come back .

True be told, there's a lot of greatness here. More than just a waterpark. So, the targeted demographic is families yet no step up is available for children to reach the rather deep bathroom sink, and the auto system "willow" is not helpful other than for check or.

Hungry As A a Wolf quickly corrected their error, but the staff had very little product knowledge. The cashier showed me a cooler item and asked several times if that product was my order. They didn't have my menu item in stock and had to make it so we waited what felt like a long time. The salad was given to us and we went to our room. And discovered missing ingredients. The manager delivered the missing ingredients with many apologies.

We had fun regardless.

Terrible customer service!!! We booked two nights for over $400. After waiting over an hour to check in we finally brought in baggage and went to the room written down but our wrist bands didn t work so we had to track down security. After finally finding someone who had to go back and forth we were told we weren t even checked in at all! It took another hour to get checked in and get in the room and then the second day I found out the front desk somehow linked my credit card to someone else s room and I was charged an additional $133+ for their charges!!!! I don t understand HOW that happens but after calling the front desk MULTIPLE times with no help and making two trips to the desk I finally spoke with a manager who first argued that they didn t charge me but after l pulled my bank statement discovered the charges in another name in another room!!!! The manager finally agreed to refund me but told me he refused to do anything else. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! We never had any problems when it was keylime cove! Unbelievable!

Had a groupon for the stay. Check-in was quick. Room was ok. 2 queen beds and a pullout couch. Had some gum on the ceiling and some stains around the room. Lighting in the bathroom was kinda dark. The park is great for little kids. But for older ones only they got bored after a couple if hours. Soda in the vending machine was 2.50. They have a fridge in the room, but no microwave. Enough restaurant off site to eat for a good price.

Location of the hotel is prefect. Right next to the mall and six flags, basically everything. The rooms aren't very great and the water park is too small. I can't comment on the service, but there souls be a bigger water park in the hotel along with better rooms for better prices.

Room was nice and clean. I love the wristband key entry. Staff was very kind and helpful. Waterslides of every size, MagicQuest, mini golf, mini bowling, ropes course, storytime, arcade and more. So much to do and plenty of food options in house.

Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari......... definitely Kalahari. We booked the filthy room through their web with credit card.Somehow at desk the credit card electronic swipe didn't work and we faced a situation where or you can find some cash or no room and still they have the right to charge your card anyway. Absolutely a disregard to the customer. Only regard to their obsolete payment system and to their unparalleled greed. And lastly I forgot the filthy room without any contact with fresh air from outside....it smelled rotten carpet and dusty moldy walls....never again GWL.

The room and the water park were wonderful. It is the service at the front desk that is miserable. My wife checked us in with two of our children and the employees behind the desk were rude, mean and even yelled at her to pay attention. The manager was even worse. When this place was owned by Key Lime Cover it was better managed from the top down. For the money we paid, will not come here again and I will recommend that all of my family and friends do the same. Very disappointed.

Great for the family. We went for a birthday party and the kids had a blast at the arcade and at the waterpark. Enough to do for a weekend. My 4 year old twins and my 15 month old loved the little kids area. It was fun for my wife and I as well.

Family of 4!!! We got the wolf den suite!! The bunk beds and beds were nice and comfy and the linens were nice! Great waterpark! But what do the lifeguards really do there?? They dont enforce the pool rules. There were a bunch of intoxicated adults playing basketball in the pool being really rude and going overboard, they were jumping and bumping into everyone and in front of everyone and knocked into my little kids and the lifeguard just stand there not doing anything and they were so ruff and not staying in there space that they made everyone get out. Any of the lifeguards didn't care what anyone did. They should really enforce the pool rules before someone gets hurt. Everyone was running around. Also seen a kid go down a waterslide that said tube only and this kids comes walking down it and then here comes another kid on a tube with a tube without anyone in it. This water park needs some class and enforce some rules and house keeping dont need to be knocking early when our check out day is either! People need to have some Courtesy and etiquette here! You really need to watch ur children here or they will get hurt. Theres also no hot tub!

The Hosts and Every Service Member was amazingly accommodating, professional and friendly, but had hoped the cleanliness would have been Better; considering this is practically a completely revamped Resort, -it wasn't!

Great variety of water activities and restaurants. Walk from room to all activities was very reasonable. Plenty included to keep little ones busy. I'd like the water temp to be a few degrees warmer and see some hooks or benches in the locker room to make changing easier.

The atmosphere is great the carpet is soft to walk on you sink in a little the water park look super safe and fun not to extreme with the toys but it's still great they have dunk in donuts and Ben and Jerry ice cream in there it's parking is superb and the rooms well don't get me started overall if you are coming to the Gurnee Waukegan area this is definitely a hotel to say in #waterpark #accessible #adrenaline #allinclusive #cozy #weekendgetaway

Luv it

For this to have been our fist time here I was impressed but shorty was disappointed. Housekeeping is not good they didn t clean our room had to call and only brought up clean towels, no new sheets or floor vacuum. The arcade is poorly staffed only two workers on with no idea of who is next they bounce around from person to person. The food at the Howlin Wolf was sub-par pizza was ok but wings we received was burnt and salty. Did not ask for new ones ,due to you don t resend food back if your not visibly able to see them make it. Water park is amazing that was the best part along with the magi quest.

I would save this for the winter months. If you're going to spend this much money on a water park in the summer, you can go to the awesome outdoor ones in the Dells and get a tan. The water park is pretty good for an indoor. Seems clean. The hotel room is nice. The food is horrible and overpriced. Thank goodness there are decent restaurants around. Bring your own adult beverages! You will go broke buying alcohol on site. The arcade is really cool, but expensive. Very disappointed that activities besides the water park cost extra. For the amount of money it costs to stay here, they could throw in these for free and still be doing fine. The employees are all friendly and professional enough.
For me and my family, this would be a great winter weekend getaway if we got a decent promo code or discount. I wouldn't waste any summer time on an indoor only water park.

I would not recommend Great Wolf Lodge. We stayed one night in November and the part of the water park that our kids would have liked best was closed. (Indoor toddler/adolescent area) We complained and asked for a portion of our bill to be refunded. The sheets on our bed were dirty upon arrival and my husband had to call the front desk twice and then finally approach the front desk in person to get clean sheets delivered to our room. Very disappointing, considering the price per night of this resort is quite expensive.

The resort is well run and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The waterpark has things for children of all ages to do. The resort can be a little on the pricey side however, especially if you eat at the restaurants there.

This used to be a fun, fun place. My family and I have been to the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin many times. We also came to this waterpark in Gurnee, back when it was Key Lime Cove. I love what they've done with place. They've managed to make it even more kid friendly. My only problem now is, my daughter is thirteen and felt the activities, excluding the waterpark, were too immature for her and her friends to enjoy. Since it is just too kid oriented to appeal to just me and my husband, I am sorry to say we will not be back. Maybe years from now for nostalgic moments we might return.

I was skeptical at first, especially for the price, but it was a really great time. The indoor water park was actually quite big, lots of slides, an awesome area for kids to romp around on, a wave pool. The rooms were clean and were big enough to not feel uncomfortable. There was also so much more to do, mini bowling, magic quest, putt putt, rock climbing, and a ropes course.

This used to be a nice option close to the city and suburbs. However they've begun selling day passes now. Result is overcrowding in pool and a generally worse experience. In addition they have closed the taco restaurant option and removed the quick in pool area food as well. Additionally they closed the small convenience store. They ran out of wolf ears for the kids and we had to call service for 2 broken TV's. It went from feeling new and upscale to down branded and cheap. For us went from a 5 star fun experience to 1 star in a few months. Unless they change selling day passes we wont be back.

We really enjoyed the resort. Everything we encountered here was fresh, clean and very well maintained. At first glance there pricing may seam kind of expensive but that is not the case... our stay here was a definite value!!

Good place for kids, nice rooms...bring extra $$$, cause only thing included is the water park, everything else is extra. Arcade is way, way over priced. Food at the main restaurant is great. Most everything closes at 9-10pm, it makes getting on site food late night impossible. Also, when open none of them bring your food to room, you have to go pick it up. Coffee shop closes at 1pm?, not sure why that is...overall we had a good time, we would come back again...however for a middle income family, this is maybe a once in every one to two years kinda place, because it is expensive...almost 2.5k for a 2 day weekend when you figure in food, drinks, extra stuff. Oh and bring your own beach towels, it will help out as well. It was nice that kids could use water park till close on day of checkout as well.

My 10 and 12 year old had a blast. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. Just do your self a huge favor and eat your main meals outside of the lodge. Get ready to spend some money because everything is way overpriced. The first night we ate in the Barnwood reastraunt, paid 130.00 for dinner that tasted like crapy carnival food. Other than that the park is very cool and there is a ton of stuff to do here.

The room we got was very nice. The waterpark was amazing but sometimes cold. The older workers there were very kind whereas the some of the younger folk weren't as attentive. The main issue I had was with how clean the water actually is. I heard that a lot of little kids had been getting sick (vomitting and diarrhea). Even my own little brother whose only 4 got sick and he now has pinkeye in BOTH eyes. So I dont know if its just because of the waterpark but thats where we mainly visited so yeah.

I have been year a few years back and had a great time! Very clean, but I have read some reviews that a few months back there was an issue and a lot of complaints of bed bugs in a few rooms. Looks like most of those reviews are gone. I would really love to come back, but that issue really is not what I call fun. I'm wondering if they have fixed this problem 100%??

Recently visited the newly renovated Great Wolf Lodge. Property was really well appointed and enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel and the various Great Wolf touches. Entrance is super impressive and love the electronic bracelets that open the hotel room doors in addition to allowing purchases at the hotel snack bar and restaurants. Rooms were nicely redecorated including the bathroom. Water park was a nice size with quite a few fun and thrilling slides. Deducted one point for not having a jacuzzi and drinks were a bit over priced. Otherwise enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.

We love great wolf lodge. They Have excellent customer service awesome activities for the kids it's such a wonderful family atmosphere and a water park is fun to. We love the themed rooms and all the extras that they give you. And my kids love magic quest as well not to mention the high ropes course and the game Room and there so so many wonderful things about the place how could you not love it O did I mention the gingerbread house and all the Christmas festivities that were going up as we were there. We love it all

As much money as I spent in this place I would of expected better quality rooms. Two day stay no Room service. Room remain dirty, condiments where not re stalked no iron available. Over priced

Great Place for day trips, we did one night short trip and it was awesome. They have good activities for kids along with a great waterpark. They have mini golf which targets younger guests. Rock climbing and rope course is awesome, expect delay so plan a head to be in the line. We did not experience the quest but seems like kids are crazy. Waterpark tickets included in stay but tickets for other activities seems a little pricey.

The good: The check in process was super easy. We arrived Early so we went to gurnee mills ( about 1 mile away) for a few hours. They called when our room was ready (about 3 hours earlier than the normal checkin) woo hoo!. Went back got our room key programed... the room key is on a wristband which is also linked to your credit card so buying things throughout the resort is really easy. The drinks at the bar were a bit pricey and the food was comparable to red lobster or something alike. 13 or so for a burger and fries or 19-25 for a shrimp entree with sides. The pool area was nice. My first impression was that it would be super warm because the waterpark area is a humid 80 degrees but the water was a bit cold at first. It was crowded but not nearly as bad as six flags or any other theme park. It's a bit difficult to keep up with a 3 year old because the lifeguards want you to be right next to(within arms reach)of them the whole time. The slides had about a 20 minute wait for the bigger tube slide.. the others were fairly quick. The room was pretty clean although I did find a chicken wing in between the microwave and the wall... no biggie though, as a cleaner it would have been easy to overlook. Most of the staff was super friendly and very helpful.

The bad: the lifeguards (I know their job is important) but they need to chill out a bit. I know how to watch my kids... although I'm sure they deal with their fair share of parents who let their kids run amok. The one part I really had a problem with was the lifeguard staff as they were changing shift as I and my son were changing in the locker room. Most were younger guys and they were incredibly vulgar while changing themselves in the locker room. It was a conversation not suitable for a yelp review and definitely not appropriate for my three year old to hear. I spoke up and they were quick to shut their mouths but I think a staff changing room is probably in order. I think the food and drinks could probably be a bit better priced, especially since I paid nearly 300 dollars for one nights stay.

Takeaway : I would recommend this place to a friend or family. We had fun. Just make sure to save up some extra cash and be ready to go through atleast a couple hundred dollars on top of the cost for the room. We will most likely try this joint again

We stayed for a two nights a few days after the Thanksgiving weekend so it was pretty quiet. The entire facility was awesome overall. Rooms were super clean and the wristband room key was brilliant. The waterpark was a blast with our one and a half year old. Great little getaway. Looking forward to our next stay.
