I'd say it was a nice stay, the whole family had rooms close together and the ability to easily go through the halls. Staff was kinda and understanding

Given the event and it's early start that weekend, it would have been much better if the breakfast buffet or room service had been available earlier than 7am.
Stayed at the kalahari resorts and I enjoy it very much. There is something for everyone here
Had a very pleasant first experience. Will try to come back someday. Very nice hotel with many on-site choices of activities. I'm glad I chose to come here instead of Mt olympus. It's worth the money.
Nice room. Friendly staff. Fun Waterpark. Good food.
Great waterpark resort, there is alot to do but for the price I expected more comfortable beds for the rooms. The african queen suits are very nice sized and well kept for a waterpark resort. Staff was very helpful. The arcade was complete with bowling and pool. The main lobby is a nice gathering place for breakfast or even a cup of coffee. Through out the resort there are various statues and piece of art which are great and help reestablish the theme of the resort. If i was looking for a vacation spot with teenagers this would be it. Everyone has something to do without having to leave the resort.
Great customer service, the waterpark is great for relaxing! Lots of activities, great for families.
I honestly thought the hotel would be, "just alright" because it's the dells and kind of a tourist trap area, but the kalahari was amazing, we stayed in the sands building in a hut room, room was extremely clean and spacious and had great amenities, beds were comfy and the balcony was nice too, not noisy at all or anything either, the water parks were amazing and clean as well, lots of options to eat and it was convenient that a movie theater is connected to the hotel as well, if I come back to the dells I'll most likely stay here again
A great way to have a one stop shop for a vacation. Pretty pricey, but you're also getting access to a water park and indoor water park everyday. It's hard to go back to a normal water park after going to one like here.
Rooms are good, adjacent to freeway and easy to find. Food is good. Indoor water park is nice lot of rides tonplay.
Getting way too big unfortunately. A very long walk to anywhere, especially the Sands building. A great idea would be to add moving walkways through long stretches for guests, especially those with walking limitations.
As an adult who loves to swim, can t say I really enjoy the waterpark. There isn t one place where I can even do a swim stroke and in lazy river you get yelled at for trying to swim. The waterslides are really not fun: way too scary when just want to slide down a long incline and enjoy.
At least there is a hot tub; even though children are in that too with goggles and masks.
High prices. They trying to make you pay for everything. Small aquapark. Only good thing about this place is friendly employees.
Great fun for us and our kids! Water slides for all ages and adventure tolerances.
We stay here quite often in the lodge suite. It's in the Sands building which is nice and ptivate. Great place for a little getaway with family friends or loved ones.
Fun waterpark and it had some nice large rooms as well.
It was decent. I was just there to perform a band piece along with my school. I enjoyed the water park.
Great indoor water park! I loved the rides, lines were short, and water was clean! Only wishes are that drinks should be cheaper and the outdoor spa should be warmer for when it's cold outside!
Fantastic place to spend time with family except they have gone completely crazy with pricing out everything, I'm pretty sure you have to pay extra to get air to breathe. Its definately not the place for average people to be able to afford to go. 1 night here is more than alot people make at their job for a week, and that's just the room that doesnt count extra for anything only thing covered is part of waterpark but let's make sure kids have to walk past multiple areas of things kids want that cost extra money on the way to the waterpark. It is definately a rich man's paradise, which is a shame, this trip for cost me 1/3 of what limited income that I make in a month, for my kids to have 1 night of fun. So guess how many times someone like me and my kids are going to be able to come here. But they are having a blast and dont need to worry about how mom is going to pay for it.
Love this place. We were 1st customers in outdoor water park this year. Kids excited.
Clean and fun, but need to update hotel room entry to wristband and gameroom tickets to game cards.
Very expensive and not impressed. My son nearly got stuck in a water slide tunnel when there was low water pressure. Lucky his father was coming behind him and pulled him out before someone else who didn't know he was there could have hit him. Mentioned this to staff and they could care less. Shameful.
I had been working out of state for a couple of months and decided to have the family meet me at Kalahari for a long weekend. Our stay was memorable. The food was great. The boys loved the indoor water park and the game room. It isn't cheap, but worth the money. I'd happily return.
Our 3 and 5 year old sons loved everything about this weekend away. Somewhat pricey, but we enjoyed ourselves. The only disappointment was the buffett, it was terrible. The other restaurants were good, though.
It was great for the kids but the beds were very uncomfortable. Friendly staff though.
Great place to stay, great food, so much to do. Perfect for a family get away
Pedicure at the Spa was relaxing and I have beautiful feet and toes now
Big resort, with plenty of things for kids to do. Not as much for adults, but I did enjoy the spacious lobby. Food is disappointing, but didn't get to try the buffet.
They need to solve the parking problem here. At no time were we parked even remotely close to our room. Our bathroom was cleaned each morning but beds we're not made and room was not tidied. Otherwise it was a fine conference facility.
Many different types of rooms and vacation packages. Friendly staff, clean rooms, unique experience.
Didn't let you bring your own food in. And food there was expensive. But it is a fun water park.
This place is amazing everything is fun and the workers all they are nice person's
Always have a great time here. Their waterpark is great for all ages but I was especially impressed with their baby area. From all the different slides, swings, and even the mini lazy river - it was money well spent.
Very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. A very beautiful place, my kids had a ball.
Great experience, kids had fun, staff extremely friendly. Stayed in the royal suites with a patio leading to the outdoor swimming pools which was convenient when you have kids. The indoor pool was awesome but a wave pool would have made the experience better. The theme park was cool, and should consider getting a roller coaster. The prices were fair for a family of 6 which would be about the same if you ate at a restaurant or anywhere else. Will diffently go back again!
Wonderful atmosphere but expensive for most families.
We had a great time at Kalahari! I love all the options available within the resort. We had a suite with a separate bedroom. It was overall nice and clean, but was an odd layout. The cleaning staff didnt do the best job cleaning our room, but again, overall it was great!
Def will be returning. Rooms are nice. I love that all the attractions are within walking distance.
All of my issues fall on the staff of the convention, not the Kalahari proper. Hopefully the expanded convention center next year!
Plenty of different water slides to choose and enjoy. Indoor park is great as well.
Kinda spendy for a day pass, but lots of fun! Lazy River was super shallow in places but always a family favorite. Wave pool is nice. One big plus is that you don't have to give your arm for the towels.
Fun when I was a kid, still fun as an adult. Less rides and things to do as adults between 18-20.
This is THE best place to stay in the Dells. You literally never have to leave. I've stayed at every resort in town many times, and nothing compares. Do yourself a favor and ask for the Choose Your Own Kalahari Adventure package... Free 2 br/2 bath suite w fireplace... Nuff sed?
Rooms are out of date if they need to stay above the rest of the resorts, they need to upgrade.
Great indoor water park. Kids had a blast. Rooms nice and clean
When reservation was made we were told we would have use of the water park. Upon arrival we were notified the water parks were closed as well as all the attractions.
The call was made 20 min prior to arrival, as we were advised to do, however we still had to wait for an hr after arrival to receive the key to the cabin. After multiple calls to kalahari security we were given the code to unlock the safe, only to realized the key was not activated properly to open the door. Once more we were on a 30 min wait to receive a new set of keys, horrible first experience for my children.
We always have fun at the Kalahari. Whether it is playing in the water, playing at Tom Foolerys, dining at one of the restaurants or playing VR, we always want to stay just a little longer. Definitely worth the visit and the kids will not stop talking about it.
Had friends from out of town staying there. Was able to get water park passes and spend time with them and have some fun!
My child received 3 cuts from one of the pools, used a provided towel for the blood. After he did that I took the bloody towel to a worker and asked what should be done with it. He said throw it in the bin with all the others. It'll be laundered, it'll be fine. Didn't need to know anything else about the place.
I would give this place a 10 if i could!! JUST FLAWLESS!!!
So much dairy, not vegan friendly. Staff are nice and the place is pretty well kept. Clean and the noises are pretty muffled. They also accommodated for my 3 hour flight delay... fast service. Went for a convention and the drinks were flowing. Recommend the 30$ bottle with the 20$ refill.
The place was amazing and clean, I loved the African theme, I wanted to put 5 stars but I took one off because the bed and pillows were bad and uncomfortable, in general I strongly recommend this place and definitely I'm going there again
The Room with a lot more than what we expected. Everybody love the water park
We had a great visit and the hotel staff were super helpful and friendly. We did the water park, bowling and mini-golf. Loved the Lodge suite room with a full kitchen.
We decided to visit the Kalahari for my son's golden birthday he is 7 and my daughter is 8. We arrived on Saturday and reception was very busy but the room was ready before the guaranteed check in time. The kids loved the in door water park and the wait times for the slides were reasonable. Plenty of areas to watch kids and personal cabanas if you want a private space. There is a swim up bar area away from the kid area in case you want an adult beverage. There is also an only 21 and over hot tub located near the bar area. There is also a mini amusement park in the resort with mini golf, carnival rides, ropes course, and electric go carts. We did have an issue with the room in that there was a lot of mosquitoes in it. It should be noted that the room had a balcony and more than likely the previous occupants left it open. Two calls later a maintenance crew arrived and sprayed the room while we went to dinner. On the Monday after our visit the resort manager did call and apologized for the room issue and assured me the resort would take measures to prevent this from happening in the future. We will go back here in the future.
Absolutely horrible. Check in was chaos, no social distancing employees weren't wearing masks correctly and no one was enforcing anyone to wear them. Lifeguards aren't attentive and aren't required to wear masks. Inpatient with little kids and just rude. Overall extremely unprofessional and not nearly enough lifeguards for the amount of people and children. I didn't feel safe allowing my daughter to walk up by herself but couldn't help her out of slides and walking up with her at the same time. Hot tubs had signs one family at a time but they were overflowed with people. We weren't able to get towels at all. Confusing layout and was never given a map at check in. Overall terrible and not worth your money. We went to great wolf earlier in the week and that will now be our vacation stop.
Kalahari Resorts Dells has always been a family favorite of ours. Walking in, you're immediately greeted with amazingly themed decor. My family and I have been coming here for years, with the exception of a few summers where we attending different resorts. However, we always make our return here. No other resort is quite like it. The rooms were clean and the employees were friendly. The only issue we have with the resort is that it is quite expensive, but in a way it makes it more exclusive and quiet. I highly recommend Kalahari Resorts Dells!
I was incredibly disappointed and very frustrated! My friends and I had gone as kids here all time. Now as college students and high school students we decided that we would go up for a short stay. When booking we looked for ages for staying over they were in a long terms and agreements page but we weren t gonna read that ( who does) any way when we got there they needed to see all of our ids because my friend was not 21 but old enough to stay over and a book. Long story short we couldn t stay overnight, we waited in line for over an hour. We understand they have a policy on ages and we weren t mad at that. What we are pissed at is the way it was handled by the front desk people. She was very rude and nasty. She had a huge attitude, didn t offer to get a manager. My mom got on the phone at home and spoke to a manager and he offered free passes for the day! Also we had an issue with how small the print is. Over all very disappointed with the service at 1st but happier with the manager. The trianees and other staff are rude and need a class on how to be around customers. I don t think we will going back anytime soon. Zac was great though.
The resort was undergoing renovations during our stay, other than the noise from construction it was pleasant. I did wish some complementary breakfast was included since leaving in the cold weather was not fun.
The Kalahari indoor theme park was great! Had free wristbands through the hotel we stayed at but had to load cards for the games, a great value and facility!
Very clean rooms, we had a suite type room and only thing we couldn't find stocked was extra blankets for the pull out couch. Even though we had a room on the main hall it was very quite. Great indoor and outdoor water park for all ages.
The room was clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The wait to eat at the restaurant was disappointing.
Wonderful place. Couldn't recommend any better stay in WI Dells. 6/5 Stars!
Great food, great venue. Good place to host a professional event
We rented the cabin on lake delton. It was very nice, no complaints at all. The indoor water park was very nice also. Lots to do for small and big kids.
It would be 5 stars, this place is by far my and my wife's favorite place to stay. They're usually very accommodating and friendly, it also is always fun. However the prices are outrageous, from the room prices, to the food, to alcoholic beverages to even the arcade games, this place is definitely set up for tourists.
Awesome place to hangout family n lots of fun in water. Amazing water rides
Expensive. We go every year and didn't get any housekeeping yet during our stay. We have 0 clean towels and have 4 people in one room. You'd think for the price it'd be a place for no complaints.
The Kalahari resort was quite an experience for me. The inclusive passes for the waterpark were great to have. Would go back again
Went up there with my wife and grandkids to meet up with my sister and her family. The grandsons really enjoyed the water park and indoor activities.
The room was in poor condition. Extremely wet areas of carpet, bottom of bath tub was green & stained, carpet was not vacuumed all the way to the edges of the room.....visual dust & dirt, blood or pizza sauce on the light fixture next to bed. Checked in at 11pm and called right away to tell them we didn t want to switch rooms because the kids were so tired but we would address it in the morning. Next morning front desk kept me on hold for well over 5 minutes to the point I just hung up. I had to call again and tell the whole story again...nothing available said they would call me when they had a resolution.UpDATE.....resort manager it involved around 5pm the following day, had housekeeping come and rectify what they could, have us a treat basket and a cabana rental for tomorrow. Great response.
Did the zombie VR experience. I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely pay to do it again.
I'm a local, but I've never had a bad experience at Kalahari. The resort is always clean and well kept and the service is good. Even if you don't want to swim they have a very expansive indoor theme park with gocarts, Lazer tag, arcade games, rides, mini golf and more.
I was not very thrilled with our experience. It was my wife's first time their, so I was very excited to take her in hopes for a good time.. it didn't take lake to be disappointed as soon as we went to check in we see a sign on the counter, stating that a third of the rides for the park are closed. Well that was news to us there was nothing on the website about this land no one told us when we called and checked on the reservation. We were soon to be even more frustrated, as we were trying to get our stuff together to go to our room, multiple bell hops watched us gather our stuff and try to carry it figured one would offer to help since guests are not allowed to use the carts, well that was wrong. It then gets better we ventured into the park where we were surprised to find they are rationing out towels. We then went to ride the slides with rafts to which we found no rafts, we asked the life guard where to get on to which They replied you will have to wait for someone to come off the ride. Hilarious they charge $200-500 a night for a room but seem to keep basic essentials stocked for their park. We then found other parts of the park where not open because there were not enough employees to have all the attractions open. On top of the fact the park was not very clean, we found blood all over one set of steps and pointed it out to an employee but was ignored and remained there for the rest of the day. Found this a little disturbing seeing as we have kids and would not want them having to walk through someone else's bodily fluids. There were towels thrown on the ground and rails and hanging all over the place to which employees just walked past and ignored multiple times. The list goes on overall was highly dissatisfied with our visit. I emailed their customer service department and expressed my frustration to which they replied yea sorry hope you have a better visit next time. I would recommend spending your money on a vacation that you actually enjoy.
Indoor water park was very kid friendly. There is also an attached indoor arcade and small amusement park, add well as a movie theater nearby. Restaurants on site, and spa. Did not make it to the outdoor water park this time, but it's huge!
This hotel is mainly for families with children, I would not come again. But hotel is very clean and kept up .
Went there for a convention so didn't get to check out the water park or recreation area. But what we did see was good. Was only there one night so not a lot of free time.
Fantastic water park, but too many of their arcade and other attractions were not in proper working order. I'd happily attend again and enjoy their park and services, but again, I can not, in good faith give them 5 stars for broken attractions.
Everything is super expensive. Nice facilities but better have some good money on you.
Food was wonderful, our room was clean, the staff were helpful and also friendly. It is pricey but worth it.
