Great water park for kids and grown ups! It's big, has some cool slides and it's awesome.
Great water park for kids and grown ups! It's big, has some cool slides and it's awesome.
An exceptional conference facility. Rooms are nice and clean. Very good food.
Great looking resort with an indoor and outdoor waterpark attached, so you can enjoy water rides no matter the time of year! Staff are friendly too. the layout of all the buildings is not the best though; if you haven't been here a few times already, you can get lost.
The rooms were wonderful. The water park was a lot of fun (exhausting). Everyone was polite and eager to help.
This is my first time visiting the Dells and it was a positive experience. I got a decent deal and rented the King Lodge Suite. The room was great Becca it had a living room, fireplace, kitchen area, and a separate bedroom. The bathroom was super tiny so I m not a fan of that. The water park was fun for the kids but I didn t like how they charged for a locker. The staff was friendly and helpful and the drive to get there wasn t bad. I could see myself returning but not more than once a year and I will probably only stay Friday night since you can use the water park all day Saturday after check out.
Great Customer Service, so much stuff for the kids to do without even have to be leave. Love this place. Highly recommend.
Pricey, hotel is nice and clean. Its very pretty and water park is fun. But food wise.... dear lord don t even know where to start. And 3$ for a 16oz of coke is pretty crazy. Just don t go during the weekend and you ll be fine.
Great stay! Had some complications with the person who placed the order with during check-in, but they were very helpful and got it squared away.
Very nice. A little expensive. But a lot of fun. My kids compared it to the fun they had at Disney.
My kids and their Aunt and Uncle and I took a two day trip to check it out in November 2017. Got a great deal from Groupon. Had a blast!!! Indoor water park and indoor theme park. They do have an outdoor water park but it was off season. Even so, great place. Our room was ridiculous(amazing) and there was so much to do. Can't wait to go back in the Summer!
Great for families of all ages! We have always stayed off site for much cheaper but the waterpark is great!
Friendly staff, nice outdoor pool. I wasn't crazy about the wave pool, it was kind of lacking. To be honest the price of tickets was pretty high for just the indoor water park during the winter. Overall it was a decent trip.
WORST!!! As a guest who has visited Wilderness, Great Wolf and Kalahari, Kalahari is the worst, poor services, used half an hour for checking in; room is disgusting and small without full kitchen; sleeping bed is dirty, don t know how they did house-keeping; indoor water park is not fun, wilderness has the much better facilities; charge for stay is extremely high, not not not worth your money, never never never come again, please see my review, don t ruin your vacation time in Wisconsin Dells
Good park, great rides...Food on the other hand use to be good in the beginning when they opened, but now......not so good. But give them a try your taste buds may be different than mine.
Drank a bunch of frozen drinks and went on waterslides. Had a great time!
The event space is very well laid out and the staff is wonderful. The indoor water park is the best I've ever been to.
Overall really nice place. Seems like everything is priced high. Like vending machine selling soda for 3.50. Overall though nice place with plenty to do.
The resort was fun, and the water park was a blast. Unfortunately the customer service was terrible on many occasions. Communication on the waterslides was a challenge because almost none of the workers running the rides spoke English. This seems like a major safety issue. We ate at the lounge in the arcade, the one with the bowling alley, and our server was rude, slow, and seemed like he didnt get much training at all on basic service skills.
Probably the worst vacation experience of my life so far. At first, everything was great. The staff was very helpful, especially with my significant other and I needing a room last minute due to reservation problems at a previous hotel. When we went inside to make the reservation, I paid for the room with my card. The card did not go through because the system said it was over limit even though I had the money on my card. So we used my SO s card instead. We tried it once, it did not go through because they said the zip code wasn t matching. After this happened, a manager came over..not sure what her name was, lighter hair with glasses... she explained that every time we tried to charge the card it would take a hit on our account but then the charges would fall off..okay no big deal I guess..we already got this far and needed a place to stay. After 2 more attempts the card finally went through. Great. Now all of that money we had put away for the vacation was on hold because of the hits on the card.. pretty upset about that..Zachary was very nice and gave us a gift card to compensate for our bad situation. Wonderful. Very thoughtful. HOWEVER. The next day we woke up, we both checked our accounts...my SO s two other transactions had fallen off (like what was promised) and he was charged once for the room. BUT! My card was also charged and that transaction DID NOT fall off but posted to my account after being held. Keep in mind my SO and I have the same. Exact. Bank. We called the front desk and tried to explain this to the same manager who was helping yesterday and she gave us a bunch of attitude and was very unprofessional..basically treating me like I don t know what I m talking about and our transactions would fall off. After explaining several times what happened she FINALLY put us through to the billing department after she seemed to understand because there wasn t anything she could do on her end. Went straight to voicemail because it s Sunday of course. We drove back to the resort and talked to the other manager, Danielle..very helpful and sweet by the way, and showed her what was going on. She said that indeed both of our cards WERE CHARGED. And that their system had a new update since closing and she needed to get ahold of IT to find out what happened and to make sure we are not going to get overcharged and provided us with the statements for our bank. This whole experience was so frustrating and I am so mad that other manager was not listening to what I had to say and treated my SO and I like a bunch of money grubbing idiots when that s not the case. This vacation was supposed to be special for us because we have a baby arriving next month but it was ruined due to incompetence of a single manager. Thank you Zachary and Danielle for your help, but that other lady (I wish I would have caught her name) needs to find a different profession. We wanted to family vacation here once our daughter gets older but I can not assure you that that will not be happening.
Indoor amusement park is a fun place to go. They got lots of games and the laser tag is one of the coolest.
The guest service representative Amber as horribly rude. I asked for a toothbrush and a razor and shaving cream and she rolled her eyes at me. She brought me one tiny packet of shaving cream and said if I wanted more I had to buy some from the store. The A/C in the room was not working, and all she would say was to send maintenance to the room, but it was 2:30 am and there were kids sleeping in the room. I had to request a fan. She also was not readily at the front desk, I was waiting 15 minutes until the maintenance guy got her attention. When I m paying so much for my room I would expect a front desk rep to be friendly and polite and not act like I m bothering her. Thank you.
We will not be back! The place is not managed well at all, so besides the dirty bed sheets and dust everywhere all the staff follows their own rules. At the water park at first I was allowed to go down the water slides with my 2 year old on my lap but the next person kicked me off the slides for the same thing. The arcade is a joke better take out a lone because it will cost a fortune. The theme park isn't any better, Very expensive and with the 3 rides they have for the kids the person attending the ride the kids liked had enough nerve to tell my kids they had to do something else for a while even though there was no one in line. We ate at the Wisconsin brew pub and the food was good but hardly worth the hour wait to get it especially when we were the only people in there. We spoke with management about all these problems and they offered only excuses about foreign exchange students and other then getting us new bed sheets did nothing. The place is overly priced and not worth it. Go some where else! We travel a lot and have never had these problems. (You can tell by the pictures there was not much for lines for the rides)
This Hotel Was just okay. It had a great African Atmosphere, great music, and a plentiful, clean and full lobby. Tons of Starbucks Stores throughout the entire hotel. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. But the room need better soundproofing, you can hear an entire conversation from the people above. Many people are loud in the halls late at night as well as above stomping their feet. Also about locations of rooms, if your room is in the sands building which is across from the entire hotel, plan for a 20-30 minute to get to the water park or lobby, and plan for about a 40 minute walk to the theme park. I would highly recommend staying at The Great Wolf Lodge across the street rather than here.
The place didn t smell all that great and the staff seemed completely inexperienced with customer service. On the bright side, the meal they provided was lovely. Maybe it was just the part of the resort I was in, but I remember Mt. Olympus being much nicer in terms of cleanliness and comfort.
The food service was fast, but unremarkable and although the decor was charming, the temperature was FREEZING in the large dining area.
Cool place. Lots to do there but it can get very crowded on a nice day.
Front desk staff didn't explain anything regarding the cabana we ordered for a few days (where we go to check in and such), plus because of it being so loud and the individual assisting having an accent, it was hard to understand. We had a 2 room suite (outdated) the carpet was absolutely filthy (the bottom of our feet were black once we walked out of the bathroom from taking a shower). Extremely slow service in Ivory coast with hardly any customers. The entrance to/from the inside water park is awkward (having to walk through locker room).
Rooms were clean and set up nicely. Water park has good rides and the staff is very friendly.
Mixed bag. But for the category of resorts I would put this in it does well.
FEE - Charged me $25 to cancel my reservation more than a month away from my reservation and would not wave it. I understand a cancellation within 30 days, but not over 30 days, not a good way to encourage me to make reservations in the future.
This place truly has "everything under one roof." Kalahari is a place I try to go every year. I often try to stay more than one night because it's hard to do everything you want even if you get there early and stay late.
I've tried pretty much everything in the resort from the theme and water park to restaurants and spa and I can without a doubt say I have no complaints. The staff has always gone above and beyond to answer my requests, the food has always been more than I expected, and the atmosphere has always made we wanting more.
I really have nothing negative to say. It's often busy, but if you go early and stay late or stay more nights you'll have a lot of opportunity to do what you want.
I often used to question the cost, but they offer a lot of good deals and the more I go the more I realize it's 100% worth it.
I attended a training seminar for my job and the accommodations we're great! The venue wasn't crowded or loud, and when we were done we had some fun in the indoor amusement park!
A bit on the expensive side but it was well worth it. My family had a blast and enjoyed everything that the Kalahari had to offer. The staff was friendly and nice would definitely come back and stay with my family.
The prices for pretty much anything there from food to a theme park wrist band are pretty high, but the entertainment is amazing, the rooms and decor are beautiful, they have an AMC literally connected to the theme park, and the staff are all incredibly nice. I can't wait to go back again.
Went to the indoor theme park again, had a good time. Did not have any problems, lines were not too long.
My friends room was a more basic room and not very sure it's worth the price.
Alot of rules for kids that we take to the water park . Should wait till your kids are 48" tall. That way for the amount you pay u can enjoy the whole park. So I would just wait so they can really enjoy it all.
I went to visit for the water park. It was a lot of fun and the facility was well-kept
I had a large suite on the 4th floor with a beautiful fireplace and whirlpool tub. The water park was a blast.
It's always a fun experience. Only lost a star because most of the lazy river was closed off and we didn't get an explanation why.
That Conference at Kalahari is always a blast. The food they have is fantastic, esp. the bacon!
Every employee was fantastic! Always willing to help and go the extra mike to do so. If I had the money to live there ,I'd be packing my stuff right now. Heck, if I could afford to go there once a year that would be awesome.
Beautiful place to spend a day or two with your family and friends.
Have been here for 3 nights and am here for 1 more. The rooms and water park are awesome, but the staff is absolutely the worse I have ever dealt with. We have attempted to go to the swim up bar 2 afternoons in a row for a drink and the same person will not even serve us. The steakhouse has good food, but be prepared to wait for over an hour when there is only 3 other tables. Everything when it comes to service at this place is horrible. Will not be coming back.
Loved it here! Great for the family! Definitely understand why they call it the waterpark of the world!
Amazing customer service, I got my room upgraded to a suite for free, the waterpark is fantastic, and the gift shop is fairly affordable as far as gift shops I've been in go.
Came with my daughter's girl scout troop, got a wonderful package that included breakfast, the indoor theme park, and a gift card for the concessions. Had a great time!
Totally worthless management and desk associates. Been 50 minutes in a stinky room. No other rooms. Finally get someone to come in spray. Apparently they only have 1 manager at night and their house keeping was too busy to bring up febreeze. House keeping said it was due to a leaky fridge but they will take care of it tomorrow. Glad they can fix the issue after we leave.
Great resort helpful staff and my family enjoyed it for our family reunion
I'm a local, didn't stay for the resort, came for the pokestops. The resort has a ton.
Notice: This is for the water park portion only! We're not a big amusement park family. We've done the top of the line package at Disney World down to the County Fair, but it's not our "focus". Having said that, here goes: Nothing really unexpected here. Slightly overpriced meals/beverages, mostly clean, mostly safe, mostly fun. We let our 10&15yr old boys run around here unattended and felt okay with it. I'm an active 48 yr old and felt none of the rides were beyond me and i did most of them. A couple rides have more than their share of stairs, but I felt they weren't too bad. The rides were safe for all of us and there were enough towels for everyone all day. They have a couple of bars with limited beverages, and restaurants outside of the water park area. We plan on returning sometime and seeing the rest of the place.
Fantastic place to stay! Very pleasant people & Front Desk agents!
Rooms were very clean. I do wish since we pay so much for a room that we get theme park passes included
spent a day at the waterpark. nice park and plenty to do for the whole family. wave pool was a hit with dad and 6 yo daughter. surf rider was easier than expected. we ate in the lobby and had the best lunch, with quiet. nachos were over the top fresh and good. drinks were exceptional throughout and blended ones were not too sweet. loved the atmosphere. would stay here next time.
The kalahari is a great stay, the staff are almost always extraordinary and the water is always warm. The only thing was our check in was a bit slow but that was only because they had trainees learning.
The entertainment and rooms are amazing, just dont expect friendly or helpful service
So many amenities in one complex with a skyway between buildings (perfect for cold, snowy days). Indoor waterpark almost makes you think you're in the warm south in the midst of wintry Wisconsin.
Great place for family, especially if ya got the time share homes....
I absolutely love it, great customer service and wonderful people all around!!!
Kalahari is a great place for a quick getaway. Its fun for many ages and rooms are pretty clean.
Rooms-B
Waterparks- A-
Fights broke out in the evening which was very scary with not enough security presence, no mandating of wearing masks so only about 95% of people were wearing a mask. Two rides were shut down during our stay.
My fav place to go for a 1 night needed get away. The swim up bar makes the whole trip worth it and so much good food in various restaurants. Never have to go outside to have a great time.
Wisconsin Dells Kalahari by far the worst Kalahari resort. Room was absolutely disgusting. Huge sticky spot in the carpet, gum stuck on the air conditioner and the bottom of the tub felt like slime with a greenish tint. The sliding door was covered in something don't know what and the fireplace didn't work.
The staffing here was horrid. There was nobody working. The employees were unbelievably rude and treated the guests poorly. Just listening to some of the conversations taking place was appalling. I witnessed several life guards run into people and almost knock children over, because it was the end of their shift and they were excited to leave.
Overall experience was bad I will never recommend Wisconsin Dells Kalahari to anyone. So disappointed since our Kalahari Ohio trips were so memorable.
Excellent staff! Very attentive and so much to do for the entire family! Truly all encompassing from the water park to the bowling alley!
I attend a work conference at the Kalahari every month or two. The facility is not overly well-marked and can be difficult to navigate, but overall is okay.
A fun place to stay if they don't give your room away that you booked and put a deposit down on six months in advance. I even called the day before to make sure everything was good...they still gave our room away the day of? But we did get another good room, a free pizza and still had fun.
Great indoor park to
Visit with friends &/or family any time of year. A lot of fun things for everyone of all age groups.
Family really enjoyed their stay and the waterpark!
Lots of things for little ones to do. Slides for the bigger kids/ adults. Adult private pool & bar. Fun for the whole family.
We had a great time. There was lots of fun for two adults to have. The water park was fantastic, the theme park was fun. The staff was super friendly. We stayed at the off resort Lake Delton cabins, which were beautiful. It was a pricey weekend, but totally worth it.
This weekend was an unfortunate series of events for the Kalahari. From cutting our feet on the shower drain, to being locked out of our room after the pool for over an hour due to a dead room key machine, to a faulty bowling lane, to the grand final event of the guests above our suite peeing onto our balcony onto our cooler, beverages and food, this has casted a bad shadow over the Kalahari. The staff was able to help us through each experience, but not once were we compensated with any apologetic action from the Kalahari - just long wait times through inconvenient and unfortunate exeriences over and over again. With expensive rooms and being the biggest in the dells, you'd think they would know how to treat their guests with hospitality.
We thought for sure it would be tight and noisy, but we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. The steak house was AMAZING! The only downside was the ridiculous check-in lines! On-line check-in is a must in the future people.
We loced staying at the Kalahari! The water park is fun and well ser up. The is a lot of walking but it is all indoors so no need to worry about the weather.
Our family has been here several times and we have had a blast every time! I love that they have so much to do without you having to leave the resort. The food at every restaurant is good, as well as the local beers. The indoor water park is pretty big, but we haven't had a chance to go to the outdoor park because the prices are too high in the warm months. I like that they give you passes to Tom Foolery's when you book a room in the winter as well, or at least they have every time we've done it and that makes the price more worth it. Overall, I'd say it is a great place to vacation with your family year-round!
Bar and water park were excellent. The room was about what you'd expect, no more no less. Wish the night life didn't shut down after 10pm.
had lots of fun.. traveling in off peak season means shorter lines and easy access... water was not that hot but with indoor temperature warm and humid it did not feel cold after you get wet... flowrider was the best for us... also we got tickets at 10% off through the partner program... one day pass is must to enjoy the indoor water park... bathroom suck because the shower heads had only hot water coming out... lockers room were all expensive and not free... only foam soap available and no shampoo or conditioner.... they do provide towels....food and glass containers from outside is prohibited....
I don't know where to begin! This place is amazing for kids if all ages! Little kids would have fun with the characters and they have fun activities every day! There is a swim-up bar for adults too! The theme park is also breathtaking. Indoors and outdoors, this place is definitely 5 stars! Keep up the great work!!
Overall one of the best weekends the family has ever had in the dells! From the hotel to the staff and everything!
AMAZING!!! It is a very kid-friendly environment. It is relaxing, wild, fun, whatever you want you can find at the Kalahari! In the game room, you should definitely buy an all-stay wristband. It is very helpful and worth the money. The staff is friendly too! We are for sure going back.
I went to check in after confirming I had a room close due to my knee surgery I infact did not after buying the room and I wasn t told this until I arrived. Then they told me I couldn t cancel and now I had to pay an extra $60 if I wanted to be able to be any closer after confirming prior to booking the room.. of course I had to pay it instead of letting my kids down.. feel like I got the bait and hook treatment..
