Kalahari Resorts & Conventions Review

I took my family here for the first time this week. Lifeguard Garrett is the best lifeguard I have ever seen. I loved watching every single kid come down the slide and have a splash fight with him. You could tell every child was wanting to go down the slide just to play with him. This was my child s first big slide and when we came down and she got to splash him it made her less afraid and she kept wanting to go just to splash him again! He has a fantastic attitude! If every lifeguard made sure every child was being safe but also had a little fun with each kid, the Kalahari would have no competition! We stayed one night and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay another day! The lady who helped us reserve our room for another night also went above and beyond!!! My child was having a melt down because she wanted to throw a coin in the water fountain. The woman asked our daughter why she was crying and our daughter responded that she wanted to throw a coin in the fountain. We told her we do not have any change in our pockets and would have to wait until we were done at the front desk to get one. The front desk lady went into her own purse and gave our daughter a coin to throw!! I wish we had asked what her name was!
We had fun at the facility but what made our experience was the customer service!! You have no idea how much we appreciated you all helping when we were dealing with a 4 year old meltdown!!! We will definitely come back again and can t wait to go to the Round Rock, TX location when it opens later this year with the rest of our family in TX!!!

All the water slides was amazing the water bar was my favorite

We have been going to the dells for a few years. We never left this resort. So much to do here, it was amazing. Don't think we're going to stay anywhere else.

Had to wait for rooms this time which was unusual, our rooms are usually ready when we check in. Food and service for our event was good

Conference center is top notch and will only get better with the coming expansion. Hotel rooms are spacious and leave little to be desired. I look forward to coming every year and the family is always asking to come with!

Loved the place, great service and prices. Got a sweet just because! Recommend this place the indoor waterpark is very fun!

All the comforts and everything within walking distance

I visited during winter so only the indoor park was open but I had a blast! They have plenty of fun slides and water attractions for people of all ages!

We didn't stay there, but when we go back we definitely will. We went for the dinner buffet and it was fantastic! I loved that they had a shorter island with kids food, the desserts were amazing! And the service was top notch!!!!

Amazing adult getaway, we rented the awesome Villa and spent the weekend at the hottub bar.

Had a blast! Love the fact that there's something to do for All ages...that's including a 6m baby. Which means even mom can have pool time and not skip out on all the fun!!!

Huge place with lots to do. Plenty of places to eat though the one we went to took pretty long to get food.

Also, the indoor water park was just a bit too cold for our 4 year old but still a good time.

Loved it!!! We have been coming here for years, the kids love being here. Always something to do.

Stayed for two nights as part of a Christian Conference. Catering to the conference and other Support Services were excellent and unobtrusive. I have no real negative things to say.

Love this place, it's our go to for our family getaway. Always clean, friendly staff. Kids asked for this place instead of Christmas gifts that's how much they love it!

My wife and I love coming to the Kalahari, and we try to take a trip here once a year. We've stayed at many of the resorts in the Dells and none come close to the experience the Kalahari offers. The resort is beautiful, the restaurants are great, and everything has a polish to it that cannot be topped.

Stayed here for a convention. They have several dining options with a wide range of prices.

Always a great place to stay. I go here every year for DaishoCon and the rooms are always nice and the staff is always friendly. Their new expansion also added a lot of much-needed room.

There is so much to do and it was clean. Our kids really enjoyed it! We are planning another trip in the future!

I am a big kid and I loved everything about going to a indoor water park. The bars inside the water parks pools?! Super dope! The food options are the best, we had to drive to Outback Steakhouse for dinner or the popular diner. Other than that, the rides were super cool, all the options that are available to you are great for the price of the whole thing if your going with a group. They also have these super huge drinks they sell and the cup is pretty memorable. Another #1 in the books for me can t wait to go for my 3rd time

What is not to love here. You could really park your car and never move it until you are ready to leave..FOOD,FUN,FROLIC ,all in one FABOULOUS destination.

Very nice facilities with lots to do. It is a bit pricey for my budget.

Only bought 2day passes so no room comments. The resort lobby, arcade and waterpark were all perfect. The food tasted good, and the drinks were not very expensive. Waterpark was watched and managed well from what I saw, and the rides were a lot of fun. Nice guests, only two leering men who hung out by the bar. Only four stars because of the woman at the bracelet counter, very rude and apathetic towards day pass guests.

It was nice especially the indoor water park it was huge...Our kids just loved it! we wanna go back there someday

By far the best hotel & waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. Phenomenal holiday buffets. We've stayed everywhere in the Dells, but this is definitely our favorite. On the pricier side but worth it. Once you've stayed here or had their buffets, nothing else compares.

Had so much fun here we are definitely returning next year

My kids, 8 and 10 had a great time in the waterpark and the arcade park.

Excellent experience! The rooms was clean, well managed. The water park tickets are included, but the theme park is extra. The rides are good for ages 3-10, arcade is ok, typical like Dave n Buster's. Overall great experience!

Rooms were reasonably clean and the food was delicious.

They have a great parking lot that didn't tow my friend

Stayed in the Nyumba condos. Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Lots of amenities. My only suggestion is to shovel the front porch and steps of the condos when it snows. They were very slippery.

This is one of the best places to go! With an Indoor & Outdoor water parks, multiple Restaurants & Bars within walking distance.

They even have a workout room with a Personal Trainer, if you want to stay fit!

Don't forget the indoor Arcade & the above ground Go Carts race track!

Memorial Day weekend place is packed charging full price for rooms. Third of the waterslides not in operation due to..get this..under staffed! Manager offered a $16 food voucher! Very big of her...not interested due to the restsurant being under staffed! Maybe in the future, manager and his staff should don swim suits and help out! Paid Kahlahari prices and got Motel 6 service, at best!

I was a guest attending a conference. I had yo pay a deposit to use a wheelchair. The wheel broke as I was riding in it. They are charging me for it! I could have been hurt. The chsir was also dirty.

Love going to Kalahari. We go every year. Great rooms, great service.

A very clean resort with lots of entertainment for kids and adults. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend it to friends. Their waterpark is huge and the theme park is great too!

Terrible customer service, refused to come fix broken toilet for 24hrs, and was overflowing.
EXTREMELY overpriced for what you pay for, lots of hidden fees, cannot connect your DVD player for kids and no privacy....staff allowed to enter room even with privacy sign...not good for breastfeeding moms as some guy opened our door and said "room check"...$300-$1000 per night, what a joke

What a place, a family annual destination that is truly geared towards a great family atmosphere.

Overall we had a good time, the theme park leaves a lot to be desired. They have a good arcade though. The indoor waterpark was decent and the outdoor was pretty much the same just a few more slides and a larger lazy river.

They're not afraid to price-gouge but the amenities are very nice.

I came here in 2005 with my family. I remember having fun when I stayed here!

I really loved the warm water and the water park. But sadly I have to give points down for how expensive everything was! Everything was WAY to overly priced. Me and my boyfriend swam up to the bar in the indoor pool and got one of there signature drinks and on the menu there was no price, which every menu should have a price! But anyway when we went to pay our bartender for the one drink was $30! For that alone I have to give this hotel 3/5 because there pricing is just way out of budget! I also have another complaint I ended up losing a pair of my capris pants and I tried to reached the lost and found several times before finally receiving a returned phone call, which by that point I was on my way home from vacation. The gentleman was kind might I say but I didn't appreciate the fact I had to call numerous times to get in contact with someone from the lost and found. I even went to the front desk the day I was leaving and told the lady there my story and her reaction was unpleasant and didn't seem to care I lost my article of clothing. She came across super arrogant when she asked for my room number and when I told her I only got day passes for the resort her reaction came across disgusted like I was cheap for not staying the night at this resort. Personally for me I don't like to feel like I'm being discriminated against. But other than these hiccups I really enjoyed the pool. The water was so warm and the slides were so awesome

The bad service out does the good service you may receive. Tom Foolery is understaffed or not put in the proper locations. Good news is Kalahari is not as bad as Mount Olympus.

Tried to contact someone about my diet and if any of the dinning places can accommodate ,they were rude and unhelpful.Told me to call each place and talk to the manager,right because you shouldn't already know that/have options for all your guests with restrictions already? You can tell me where has veg or gluten free options but not vegan.Okay,no.It's Cool,we can just book another more helpful resort.

EDIT :Changing my review as someone from the resort reached out to me and apologized for the rude staff and helped me find out the vegan choices.Though limited they do have gauc & chips, a hummus platter, huevos rancheros (minus the eggs and cheese) make your own salad,and lot and lots of fries/potatoes.

When the website had a cap to the price relating to if it was a weekend or even a holiday, upon our arrival it had literally almost doubled because of "occupancy." Why would I pay twice as much to wait in lines twice as long for two hours? Instead of taking $200 for my friends and I (admission alone, we were all going to drink at the bar) they'd rather turn us away.

A really good resort for adults. Obviously it's great for kids, but there were no kids in our group and it was great. The swim up bar in the indoor pool is fun, the slides ranged from family- friendly to thrillers. The rooms were pretty standard for a hotel room, so no complaints there. Everywhere you went in the resort there was something to look at or do or eat, which is really fun. Would definitely visit again.

This was my first time at a Kalahari resort. We had rented a suite with a balcony view. Although the outside attractions were closed there was still plenty to do inside. Plus the bonus stuff we received with our reservation. We will definitely be going back.

Got a room on special on the 3rd floor a high traffic area. Even still, the room is sufficiently quiet. Been here a number of times and it's always been a solid choice

Everything is so much fun but I'm really impressed by how friendly the staff is!
