I had a great stay at the Kalahari for a bachelor party. The Villa we stayed was perfect for our group and were very clean and spacious. The waterpark was great especially for a group of adults like us. I would certainly recommend the Kalahari for an event like again.

We have been taking annual trips to the Dells with a big group of friends for about 4 years now. The last few years it has been at the wilderness but it started to get hard to plan because our group has expanded to about 20-25 people with spouses and new significant others joining from year to year. The kalahari allows us to book a big venue without the stress of not everyone getting a bracelet. The wilderness gives you a certain amount of bracelets and refuses to provide any extra to a villa with no exceptions or day passes. I realize there has to be restrictions, but I m talking we have had to book an entire different villa for one or two more people in order for them to get access to the water park which I think is ridiculous so I was more than happy with the services of the kalahari. The staff was friendly, the Entertainment Villa we stayed in was clean, and we had a blast! We will continue our annual trip with the Kalahari from here on out:)!

My personal favorite water park/resort. The Kalahari has a really nice aesthetic. It's pricey, but the lobby is beautiful and the food is great and everything is very nice. The indoor waterpark is huge, boasting a beach-sized wave pool, dozens of slides ranging in intensity for both families and solo riders, a relaxing and winding lazy river, multiple hot tubs, children/toddler areas, basketball hoops, and a simulated wave area for surfing. Along with all of this, they boast an outdoor park AND an indoor theme park that includes hundreds of arcade games, VR, minigolf, gocarts, a ferris wheel, etc. It's better than any of the competing resorts, even if it's a bit pricier. I definitely recommend going here at least once in your life.

Being here since the mask mandate went into effect is well, meh......They seem to really only be "required" when dealing with resort staff i.e. upon check in. The indoor park is great for the entire family. The restaurants on property are a little pricey, but what isn't when you go on vacation? Also, since the pandemic, the use of the waterpark is only available until 3pm as opposed to the entire dat.

The resort is great, my kids love the waterpark. I just wish the rooms were more consistent. Staff has been friendly. But, I've been here about 10 nights, because of business, in the last 6 months and I've had 2 different broken AC/heaters and a room that wasn't properly/hastely cleaned when I checked in. As a vendor it is the best convention spot in the state, I just wish the rooms were better.

Someone from kalahari did reach out to me which is nice except for that their idea of rectifying the situation is to offer a 50% off coupon on a future cabana reservation All I can say is their customer service is clearly out of touch.

Great indoor and outdoor attractions along with a very fun arcade and attractions area. Only problem is that each time we have come the weather has not been very hot which we would prefer to really enjoy the outdoor park. Nevertheless we have enjoyed minute of our visit.

The one negative I might say is that it can be a bit of a walk back to your room leaving the water park. It could be a little cold walking back especially with little ones.

It was a really nice place with alot of things to do. It has alot of shops for souvenirs and things to drink and eat. The sweet store even has homemade dog biscuits, which my dog loved. My kids had a blast and we cant wait to go back. Things were a little pricey, but to be expected at a place like that.

Overcharged for my room, management was AWFUL and wouldn't even speak to me about it. Food at Brew City was horrible and they automatically charged my card without giving me a chance to pay in cash. Whole experience was limited to crummy hours and staff were VERY RUDE. They even tried to trick me into upgrading my room when I checked in.... been coming here for 15 + years.

Half of the slides were down and the signage is terrible. We walked and walked in circles!!!
Drinks are super expensive and everything in the arcade was dollar store material.
A let down of a visit.

Atmosphere: 4/5 It was welcoming, clean, and I liked the artwork along the walls! Some things seemed a little dated but it wasn't too bad. The rooms were large and accommodating also a little dated but nothing horrible.

Food: 5/5 The selection of palaces to eat were great! No matter what you wanted there was a place to get it! We ate at the restaurant by the arcade and the food was Fantastic! We all had something different and is was all VERY good and reasonably priced $12-15.

Water park: 4/5 The thing that honestly impressed me the most was the amount of life guards and how focused they were! They all need a raise! They were very attentive and seemed like they all took their job seriously, (we've all been to a pool with snotty teen life guards) There was a play area for every age group including adults! My only complaint was there wasn't enough signs! It was hard the first day to figure things out. Also the small toddler area for kids is hidden way in the back, which is nice since it's in a corner and you don't have to worry about them running off in every direction but I don't know if I would have found it if I had my toddler along. The towel guy was also awesome and seeing him enjoy his job made us enjoy our time even more. I did like that the wristbands came with the room HUGE plus in my book!

Arcade/bowling alley: 4/5 It was a typical arcade and bowling alley, bowling was priced well and it was fun!
Carful if you order one of the drinks here or at the swim up bar, the big fancy ones are $30, but you can get the same thing in smaller cup for $11

I'm leaving this separate since this was the ONLY bad experience we had. We ate at the little pizza place that's connected to the water park had some pretty bad service. There was only maybe 6 people
In there and it took over 40 min to be served. There was two guys in there serving, the younger one was extremely slow and didn't seem to really care and came off a little rude. I have been a server before so I try not be hard on anyone in that position but it just wasn't being handled well!

We stand in the sands part of the resort, if you have a room there keep in mind it's a lot of walking back and forth! If you have little ones bring a small stroller! Also I felt like the lockers were ridiculously expensive ($10) we just kept our stuff on a table and risked it, and we where fine.

Overall we will definitely be back! It was a great gateaway! We spent 3 nights there and never left the hotel because they had everything we needed!

Ok, I hate leaving home, so I'm a tough customer.

The room was spotless, great shower and awesome beds.
Water park was great for my 3 and 5 year old. Food was good, operation was convenient, parking was easy and staff was great.
Definitely go back

Went during off season(November) and had a great time. Lines weren't long at all and workers were all very polite and helpful. Room was clean but did smell slightly musty in the bathroom probably due to people throw wet bathing suits on the floor. The amusement park is good but expensive and if you have a younger less adventurous child you might find buying wrist bands a waste of money.

One of the best resorts in the dells for families. Huge indoor and outdoor waterpark, arcade with rides (also indoor), restaurants, buffet, AMC movie theater, rooms of all sizes, pool, clean, modern, friendly staff, free wildlife passes, overall great stay. It was very busy on saturday and hard to find parking. Sunday was not busy. Very close to McDonald's, burger king, Cracker Barrel, Outlet mall, antique mall, Jimmy Johns, Jerky outlet, Qdoba, noodles and company, Macs, ponderosa, Starbucks, Pizza places, and gas station with dunkin donuts. Did not see a grocery store or pharmacy near by.

The hotel and water park area was very nice but the theme park was a waste of my money you pay 40.00 to be able to do hardly anything definitely will not be doing the theme park again was not worth the 160.00 I spent on it

I visited the arcade at Kalahari. I brought my 3 young kids and they had a blast. There are a ton of different games to play that my kids really enjoyed. I do not know how the rooms or water park are because we didn't visit them. I will definitely be returning to Kalahari the next time we go to the Wisconsin dells.

Decent but not worth the price. The rooms are basic and for the price it s a waste. In order to take advantage of the water parks and anything else, you will only sleep in the room and won t need it for anything else in between. The staff were mostly nice but when picking an option make sure you call and make your reservation if possible and ask every single question you can think of in advance. Ask what is included, timeframe, food and prices. This is to insure your questions are answered, right or wrong, because they record them and it is the only way they will accept responsibility. I was given misinformation on several instances but they spent more time trying to prove the question wasn t asked than they did trying to solve my problem.

Stayed here for 3 nights. And keep in mind with covid going on you aren t going to get the full experience they try to make it the best possible experience for you. Great for families with kids. Compared to other resorts in the area this is one of the best ones to stay at

I always love staying at the Kalahari! I love how it is a wonderful option of any group. Whether your group is full of kids or just an adult get-away, you'll always have something available to do. The spa is great, I went and had a relaxing and fun pedicure! Other fun things to do include the water park, amusement park (including a ropes course, go karts, mini golf, laser tag, rock climbing, and more), a bowling alley (with late-night bowling, food, and drinks), on-site restaurants, and a movie theater. A definite must!

My husband and I ended up staying at the Kalahari ...

My husband and I ended up staying at the Kalahari last month at the last moment when we had a terrible experience at the Wilderness and needed to find lodging suddenly at 9pm. At that time we were traveling across WI to see a specialist and choose Wilderness based on rates. I will NEVER make that mistake again. We can't imagine going anywhere else but the Kalahari, and just got home from our second visit, this one was 3 nights and we brought all of our kids. The first time we stayed for two days in the Royal African Queen Suite and had THE BEST experience! It was so great that we brought our entire family back last week (Combination Suite) for a much needed family vacation. It's been a hard year for us and I can say that we only wish we could have stayed longer at Kalahari. Every staff member from the life guards to the management was wonderful! Within minutes of being there one of my disabled children locked us out of one of the attached rooms. The security guy showed up fast and impressed us with his speedy trick to get us back into the room. And had the same "It's ok, no problem!" attitude that each staff member shared. Then, during the first night we had the unfortunate experience of rooming downstairs from "Jersey Shores", or as we came to call them "Michigan Shores". Boy, were those guests rude and loud! We are not big complainers at all but security handled it great and management helped us figure out a remedy that helped improve our stay. The last night we were there my son fell into the stomach flue and housekeeping showed up at 2am to help us clean and sanitize the room. (God forbid my other children or guests get sick!) The housekeeping was a very nice gentleman that was kind and reassuring, he let us know that there is an urgent care across the way if we needed it and told us a nice little story about his children. So, you can see that we had one of those types of vacations that had some setbacks, but I can tell you that time and time again the staff was wonderful, friendly and reassuring. As a small business owner I think that whomever is running this facility has amazingly exceeded at producing a resort that offers wonderful attractions, reasonable rates and pricing, and a fantastic staff of professional, friendly and simply GOOD people! The lifeguards always helped me get out of the water tubes after a ride (I have mobility issues), the guy running the slushy machine even got to know us, and even the shuttle drivers were gentleman- and real lifesavers when our legs were tired! Attached is a picture of my kids with the concierge Kellie, she was handing out free cookies in the lobby and remembered us from the month before (she took a picture of us on the big elephants last month). I guess this review is really long. We just are so thankful for the good experiences we've had and hope other families can enjoy Kalahari too. PROS: Excellent quality stay, and real life tigers in the lobby! CONS: We blew our budget by about $300 because the fun is addictive. The Bowling alleys are a little wonky, and the new ride "Screaming Hyena" feels like getting water hosed up the bottom. I don't recommend it if you've had children and carry any extra weight unless you want to remember childbirth.

I've left positive reviews for Kalahari in the past, but the other recent reviews are spot on and we couldn't be more disappointed in our stay. Yes, the smell of marijuana is rampant, significantly more drunkenness, but what bothers me the most are the items that went missing the day of our checkout.

We are on our way home from spending 4 days at the Chalet Cabin we absolutely loved how nice and clean the cabin was has all the cooking necessities. We grilled outside Sunday evening and that view was absolutely breathtaking it was 16 of us and we are already planning our return! The water park has something for everyone to enjoy can t wait to be back!

Lots for families to do. Great conference area. Plan for lots of water time and make sure to hit the arcade up once....$$$$ The pizza for rom service is pretty good. Make sure to eat at the Brew Pub also, it also has some great food. It is our 3rd year coming here and sure to not be our last.

We went to the indoor park which was included with our hotel stay elsewhere. The revolution 360 ride was pretty fun. The go carts line was too long so we didn't go on them. The other attractions didn't look worth going on. Playing the arcade games looks like it would have ended up being really expensive...would be nice if they had an unlimited option, minus the tickets.

Loved it here... our first visit to Wisconsin and we took out a day to visit this indoor waterpark as we had heard a lot about it. It was a lot of fun. It was a weekday so wasnt crowded. The water temp was great and there were tons of things to do! Wave pool was amazing and there's a slide that throws you into a 10ft pool which was scary!

This is a great waterpark for kids and adults. It is clean, is both indoor and outdoor pools and slides, the food is good and so are the drinks. The wrist band is good for the day so if you need to leave and come back you can! The layout is close together so walking with kids and toddlers is easier than those waterparks that are more spreadout. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

The Kalahari and I go way back, and for good reason. If youre ready to hit the largest indoor waterpark in America look no further! Great for kids and the whole family! A little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for! Highly recommend.

Gross, dirty, and constantly loud guests running through the halls. Have been here several times always hoping it was a fluke to only find out this is the norm. Not worth the ridiculous amounts of money they charge.
