In the attic I found a leaking copper sump line. Technician said that it was not replaced when my new unit was installed, therefore Jon Wayne service was not covered in our Service Plan. Total cost for service would cost would $600+ ($65 for 50 ft. 3/8 inch copper line at Home Depot SKU 256-897). $500+ for labor? Seriously? Preventive maintenance at the time of new unit installation would have prevented a leak that damaged a brand new remodeled ceiling. Jon Wayne disappointed us this time around. My wife and I fixed the problem at a cost of 65 bucks and just over an hour.

The parameters were discussed from before and after service to show the change in system and that issues should be resolved. Great service overall, and it was much appreciated the technician kept a mask and shoe covers on while in the residence.

Upon completion he went over the results of the inspection and tune up. Roy was very knowledgeable and seems to really enjoy what he does. I feel that he is a real asset to your company.

During the winter storm we had an outdoor sink pipe burst. We had used Jon Wayne before and liked them so I immediately contacted them again. They were very booked (naturally) and since ours was contained and not a necessity, I took an appointment at a later date. That day came and they were supposed to be there between 8-12. I called at 10 just to confirm and was told that due to emergency calls our plumber was running behind but that they would call with an update on time. At 4 they called and said they would likely be there at 6. I was willing to wait because I had only that day off from work. At 6 they called and said they weren t coming at all. I was mad and when I left my house, I was even more mad to see they were servicing a house just 5 houses away from mine.
A few weeks later I called and scheduled another appointment. This time my husband took the day off. Again, they called and said they wouldn t be there at the design time slot because of emergencies. I said we d wait, again. Sure enough, a few hours later they called to cancel and asked if I could schedule a different day! I said no! We had already taken two days off from work for nothing. The lady said We could schedule you a guaranteed timeframe. WHAT!!?? Why weren t any of my other appts a guaranteed timeframe! We will never try this company again.

Levi showed up well before the end of the scheduled service window (a fact I greatly appreciated). Turns out that he wasn't able to drain the tank in my water heater due to it having a plastic outlet. This would have been nice to know before he came all the way out. He didn't charge me though, so all's well. Recommendation for the future is to have the service agent that calls customers back, verify if the customer has a plastic or metal outlet. Thanks!

I was charged a $29 service fee and all that happened was a conversation about ordering a replacement of my water Heater. Also the price quoted was outrageous and I am so glad I did not confirm and got other quotes. John Wayne quoted $2,525. I ended up buying the hot water Heater from Home depot and had it installed for less than $1,000. I will never not get multiple quotes or options again. One day saved me over $1,500!

Very impressed with Bobby. We had a pipe that was leaking close to the house and he had to dig down to find it. He found the issue quickly and was in constant communication during the whole process. Showing me where the leak was occuring and what he was going to do to fix it. After he was done, he filled in the hole and was impressed on how clean the area was where he was digging. John Wayne Services has earned our trust and we will continue using them for our AC, Plumbing and Electrical needs.

A little on the expensive side but the tech was very knowledgeable and they usually have higher end equipment than smaller companies, which is useful for correctly diagnosing the problem. It helps so you don't keep throwing money hoping to find the right fix. Jackie was professional and found my freon leak very quickly and pointed out a few other issues to look for as well. He explained everything very well and showed me the problem before and after.

The only thing I didn't like was the scheduling department, which had nothing to do with the tech side. They said they would be running a few minutes late and that was no big deal. However, a few minutes turned into 4 more hours. I had to call them thinking they forgot about me as I kept continuously waiting at home like a dumdum. They said it was just taking longer but they will still come out, but more communication about how late they would really be would have been nice, as I could have ran some errands. That's the only reason for a 4 star instead of a 5.

Don t normally fill these out but felt compelled to do it this time around considering. I ve had to use Jon Wayne on two separate occasions regarding my A/C and once for plumbing and I couldn t have been more satisfied with the service. Incredibly friendly, detail-oriented, helpful, etc. I ve used a number of A/C companies in the past but Jon Wayne has truly earned my trust, and ultimately my business from here on out. That sounds like a really cheesy, fake tag line, but I assure you these guys are legit.

Cliff Solis with Jon Wayne Service Company performed a routine seasonal A/C tune up. He was held up at a previous job but Jon Wayne kept constant communication to keep me updated and Cliff showed up only an hour after my original appointment time. Cliff was very professional, knowledgeable, and considerate. He not only performed the A/C tune up consisting of a basic inspection, clearing the drain line and cleaning the outdoor coils but he also checked my system for leaks and tested the refrigerant charge. Originally he thought my system was low on refrigerant but after further investigation diagnosed the issue as a incorrect piston size and recommended to replace with a TXV valve. He was extremely thorough and went over 6 different options and also quoted me for the TXV valve replacement. I ended up just getting the basic A/C tune up so I could think about the TXV repair. He spent over 3 hours at my house and was not pushy or upset that I was choosing to only get the basic service. I asked several questions during the visit about what he was doing and how the entire system worked and he never seem annoyed and was more than happy to explain everything to me. Very satisfied with Cliff's service and would call him again in a heartbeat!

He took the time to inform me of the different things he was working on, how things work and repeatedly told me to feel free to ask him about anything if I had any questions. He was very concerned about my comfort, and whatever he did, my thermostat seems to be functioning better. He has a wonderful personality and appears to be A REAL PEOPLE PERSON. Joseph is definitely a very positive asset to your company. I know it was his job to do the things he d done, but it seemed his intention was to go above and beyond what was required. AJ came here to fully inspect my heating and air conditioning unit and then make any recommendations to improve its performance. There were several items that required my immediate attention. AJ and I agreed that the unit needed to be replaced. I got financed and a new unit will be installed tomorrow. It should be noted that AJ did an outstanding job. Service Technician was knowledgeable with the inspections done on our AC unit. He was very professional and pleasant to talk with. He discussed services he felt were important for us to know about, but he didn't think it would help our situation since our unit is 17 years old. He recommended that we not waste our money on certain replacements, but look into buying a newer unit. He took about any hour performing inspections on the unit, both inside and outside. The only thing I saw him do was use the water hose to clean and take out the leaves from the outside unit. I really didn't think it was worth the $180 dollars we gave John Wayne throughout last year paying the monthly fee. Even though the young man was respectful, he wasn't wearing a mask, shoe coverings, or anything like they show on TV and I have decided to cancel my subscription to paying the monthly fee, it's not worth it.

We scheduled this company based on good reviews on google. But we had 3 appointments scheduled and kept our own busy schedules cleared to be home for all of these 3-4 hr time slots. The first two times they called last minute at the end of the schedule slots to tell us they were running behind and would need to reschedule. For the last appointment we rescheduled with them they just never called or showed up. Very unprofessional and Rude. I wouldn t have left one star if it was possible to give them a 0 star review. Do yourself a favor and use a different business.

I never felt rushed or forced into buying them most expensive option--quite the opposite! He explained why certain, more expensive options might actually not be the best for my specific situation. For a single girl living alone, that means a lot that he wouldn't try to bamboozle me! Long time customer of Jon Wayne's Services initially for AC then most recently for plumbing. They have a program called Rescue Club where with a very reasonable monthly fee they'll come out for a complete tune-up of an installation or services done including coverage of replacement parts. No Charge. Technicians are very professional, courteous friendly and knowledge of not only their task at hand but putting themselves in the customers place. Today Daniel came by and serviced both our central AC but the plumbing as well. Checked water pressure, tested water hardness, and we all know San Antonio water is in a class of it's own. Plainly put, he checked anything and everything that pertained to plumbing. Did the same with the ac. If it isn't doing what it was supposed to be doing he had it corrected. Sure you can say "Isn't he supposed to do that in the first place?". Yeah, well I've been impressed by the services Jon Wayne has provided us. I was expecting two trucks to be parked outside. Talk about multi talented. Daniel took care of both tasks. We're happy, been happy and will continue to stay with the Jon Wayne Team.

I have very mixed opinions of this company. Their AC people have been great.
A plumber came out to our house to look at our water softener, and it was one of the worst experiences I've had with a repair company.
To start, the problem was already known. There is a missing float from our salt tank keeping it from filling with water. The system works perfectly otherwise.
This plumber started by walking through our garage without letting us know he was there. He superficially looked at the system and said he couldn't see a problem. When I discussed what I thought was wrong, he said he could replace the whole system for several thousand dollars, or I could just order a whole new salt tank from Amazon for $600, and install it myself.
No effort to look at the internals of the system or replace the missing part.

Annual checkup of HVAC System. Arrived on time. Took tech on tour of system. He changed the UV bulb, changed the filter and ran tests on operation. Checked the plumbing and water heater. Cleaned up after himself. Provided written checklists. 5th year of service on system.

Lionel came out to our home because we were having issues with our thermostat reading the wrong temperature. The thermostat said it was hotter than it really was, which resulted in the house being freezing since our system thought it needed to cool the house. We ended up replacing the thermostat for a new one and have peace of mind knowing that there is a 5 year warranty on it. Lionel was very professional and straightforward with us, and he is very personable. Although we had to wait longer than we were told, due to long service calls ahead of us, I'm giving 5 stars because Lionel did a great job!

I had Joseph out at my house today to work on my air conditioner and he gave me arguably the absolute best service I have ever had. He was thorough beyond belief, answered all of my many questions with patience and really gave me a ton of information that I really appreciated. He definitely went far above and beyond for me which was very refreshing Thank you so much Joseph and Jon Wayne for the wonderful work and service. I will definitely use them again and HIGHLY recommend them.
